Florida Man Arrested For Playing Basketball Completely Naked At Park
A Florida man was arrested over the weekend for playing basketball naked because he thought it would improve his skills, police say.
Around 7:36 p.m. local time on Sunday, a Longwood Police Department officer responded to a “white male who was not wearing clothing” at Candy Land Park on 299 Longdale Avenue, according to an arrest report. When police arrived at the scene, Jordan Glen Anderson, 29, could be seen walking around on the basketball court of the park playing with a ball without any clothing on his body.
When authorities approached Anderson and asked what he was doing, he “stated he was working on his basketball skills and he feels playing naked enhances his skill level,” the officer stated in the report. The officer then told Anderson to get dress and he complied.
The officer made contact with the park employee at the scene, who said that he contacted police when he saw Anderson in the nude playing basketball around the premise.
Anderson was then charged with indecent exposure of sexual organs and subsequently transported to the John E. Polk Correctional Facility for processing on a $500 bond. It is unclear whether Anderson has been released.
Longwood, a city in Seminole County, has a crime rate — 31 crimes per one thousand residents — that’s considerably higher than the national average across all communities in the U.S., according to Neighborhood Scout. Around 71 percent of Florida’s cities and towns of all sizes has a crime rate lower than Longwood’s, whose roughly 15,000 residents have a one in 32 chance of becoming victim to either a violent or property crime in the area.
Earlier this month, retired WWE wrestler Matt Morgan was voted as mayor of Longwood by his fellow commissioners after being elected to the municipality’s commission last November, reported Orlando Sentinel.
“I can’t believe it,” he told the newspaper. “I wonder if this makes me the world’s largest mayor? Seriously, we have a very special commission here. Whereas in other cities, you have a lot of backstabbing and cutthroat politics, where the other commissioners try to put their own personal politics in front of their team of commissioners. I can honestly say that separates our commission right off the bat.”

Home Health Aide Accused of Being Serial Killer Who Smothered at Least 12 Elderly Women
Police believe that a 47-year-old Dallas man is a serial killer who has smothered at least twelve elderly women.
Billy Chemirmir was arrested last year and charged with murder in the death of an 81-year-old woman. Police were surveilling Chemirmir when they allegedly saw him toss a jewelry box into the trash outside his apartment complex. The box belonged to Lu Thi Harris, who was later found dead inside her apartment. She had been smothered with a pillow.
At the time, officials said that there might be similar cases in the area.
During a press conference in March 2018, Plano police said they would reinvestigate more than 750 unattended senior deaths dating back to at least 2010. Authorities exhumed at least one body of a suspected victim, WFAA reported.
Police now allege Chemirmir is responsible for at least a dozen deaths, and they also accuse him of attempting to kill two other women — but they’re still searching for additional potential victims.
In addition to Harris’ death, Chemirmir has been indicted in the deaths of six elderly women in Dallas County, and 5 others in nearby Collin County.
According to court documents first obtained by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Chemirmir would pose as a caregiver before killing and robbing the women. WFAA reports that scrubs were found in Chemirmir’s possession.
Although police documents claim that Chemirmir would sometimes pose as a nurse, the Star-Telegram reports that Chemirmir isn’t a licensed nurse anywhere in the United States. ABC News reports he has worked as a home health care aide.
“Chemirmir uses health care experience to his advantage targeting and exploiting seniors, some of the most vulnerable people in our community,” Plano Police Chief Gregory W. Rushin told reporters in 2018. “This is terribly disturbing.”
Chemirmir, a citizen of Kenya, has lived in the Dallas area for more than a decade. PEOPLE confirms that immigration authorities have placed a jail hold on him.
The news has left many family members of the deceased reeling. Ellen House, the daughter of alleged victim Norma French, described Chemirmir to the Star-Telegram as “a very bad, very evil man.”
Chemirmir’s bond has been set at $9.1 million.
He has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him in Harris’ death, and his case hasn’t yet gone to trial.
He has not entered a plea in the new cases. His public defender did not immediately return PEOPLE’s call for comment.

A Teen In Malaysia Reportedly Killed Herself After Posting A Poll That Asked Her Instagram Followers To Help Her Choose Life Or Death with 69% responded with death
A 16-year-old girl in Malaysia died by suicide after sharing an Instagram poll asking her followers to help her choose life or death, The Guardian reported on Wednesday, citing local authorities.
According to The Guardian and Malay Mail, the police said that the teen posted the poll at about 3 p.m. on Monday with the message “Really Important, Help Me Choose D/L” and that 69% of the respondents voted for “D,” meaning death. About five hours later, she was found dead, Malay Mail reported.
Local officials have questioned whether the people who voted in the poll could be culpable in her death. Abetting the suicide of a minor is a crime in Malaysia, and those found guilty can face the death penalty or up to 20 years in prison, Reuters reported.
Ramkarpal Singh, a lawyer and member of Malaysia’s Parliament, requested that authorities investigate the circumstances leading to the teen’s death.
“Would the girl still be alive today if the majority of netizens on her Instagram account discouraged her from taking her own life?” he said in a statement to Reuters. “Would she have heeded the advice of netizens to seek professional help had they done so?”
Ching Yee Wong, the head of communications for Instagram Asia-Pacific, provided the following statement to Business Insider in response to the 16-year-old’s death:
“Our thoughts and prayers are with this young woman’s family. We have a deep responsibility to make sure people using Instagram feel safe and supported. As part of our own efforts, we urge everyone to use our reporting tools and to contact emergency services if they see any behavior that puts people’s safety at risk.”
Instagram adopted new safety measures in February to better protect young users on the platform. Graphic images of self-harm are systematically removed, and non-graphic self-harm content is subject to a sensitivity screen that blurs the post before it is shown.
Instagram users found to be posting self-harm or suicide-related content are referred to a local support group or a suicide helpline; in Malaysia, the social-media platform refers users to Befrienders Kuala Lumpur. Instagram provides a full list of its global suicide-prevention partners on its website.
Many of Instagram’s policy changes were made in response to the suicide of Molly Russell, a British 14-year-old, in 2017. In the months following Russell’s death, her family found that she had been following multiple Instagram accounts depicting images of suicide and self-harm. Her father, Ian, has said Instagram “helped kill my daughter.”
While social media can offer teens a sense of community and voice, it can also affect their mental well-being. Parents are encouraged to monitor their children’s use of social media, and all social-media users should feel motivated to report potentially harmful and violent posts they find, regardless of what platform they use.
Social Media influencer gets cosmetic procedures to look like his edited selfies
LONDON (CNN) The selfie-culture is putting so much pressure on beauty standards it’s driving many young people to seek cosmetic procedures, according to plastic surgeons.
With almost half a million followers Kyrhys Devoe — or “Tuggzie” to his fans — makes his living through Instagram. Like others in his generation of social media influencers, he’s on a constant quest for physical perfection.
“We all want to have smooth skin, we all want to have high cheekbones, we all want to have frozen faces, we just want to look perfect,” Devoe said.
Devoe spends at least an hour editing each selfie using apps like Facetune and Airbrush. He’s also part of a new trend which is seeing the Snapchat selfie look spill over into real life. “I want to be a Bratz doll, a living Bratz doll,” he said.
Reporter Hala Gorani: A doll is not human — by definition. Why do you want to look less human?
KyRhys Devoe: Because a doll’s perfect. I just want to look like my actual photos on Instagram. I want to look selfie-ready all the time.
Devoe even gets regular cosmetic procedures done to look more like his edited selfies. He is not alone. Leading plastic surgeon Dr. Dirk Kremer says he’s noticed his clientele get younger and younger, and edited selfies play a big role in what people ask him for. “Most of them come with a phone and show me pictures saying, ‘That’s how I get most likes and followers and could we do that in reality. I’m tired of editing the picture,'” he said.
Dr. Kremer says before social media, clients would mainly compare themselves to celebrities. “Now, you see the girl next door who looks amazing on the Instagram photo with all the filters they apply. Suddenly the competition is much, much higher,” he said.
Reporter Hala Gorani: But do you think that makes people more anxious about their appearance on social media?”
Dr. Dirk Kremer: Definitely, you know the pressure’s on. Young people, if they want to have a very successful account, they post constantly. They wake up — picture. They go to work — picture.
This obsession with personal appearance that selfie culture encourages may have darker implications for mental health. “In those people who have that psychological vulnerability, it can be particularly concerning. They are constantly bombarded with images and constantly referencing their own image in a way that was not seen before,” said Bruce Clark, a consultant psychiatrist with Maudsley Hospital.
At its most extreme, this fixation on appearance can manifest in a mental health condition known as body dysmorphic disorder, or BDD. For people like Alanah Bagwell, BDD can be completely debilitating. “I rarely left the house. I was stuck in a dark room, curtains closed, sleeping most of the day. I wouldn’t let my family see me. They’d have to bring food to the door,” she said.
Bagwell says although selfies didn’t cause her illness, the hours she spent taking pictures of herself exacerbated her condition. “I felt like I looked so disgusting and deformed and monstrous that I just wished to be normal, so I’d post selfies in the hopes of this sort of reassurance from other people
Our collective obsession with social media can be a very innocent and fun experience, but we are only just beginning to understand the potential mental health impact on this selfie-generation.

WTF?? Greenlit this movie should be criticized and banned from ever making movies and television shows again. SOME IGNORANT white people have this stereotypical and racist thought process about us black people. It amazes me how there are SOME IGNORANT white people who have no ill intentions think we as black women are the ANGRY DARK SKIN BLACK SOMETIMES FAT WOMAN.
We are seen as LOUD and aggressive. Who has multiple babies; baby daddies. Yes there was White Chicks but at least they had a plot to it that made sense. Even this movie poster looks buffoonish and flat out Jim Crow era coonish.

As for this racist stereotypical shit I’ll pass. The creator and director Jeremy Saville can kiss his career goodbye. BLACK TWITTER LET HIM HAVE IT! We as black people need to stop giving people like this a pass. The only good thing out of this is not very many people know about this movie and I’m glad. It’s trash. Can ya’ll answer me this? Why does the dude have to make the voice of a black woman sound like a man?

Man allegedly grabbed wet wash towel, placed it over daughter’s face and emptied a 17-ounce plastic bottle with water over her head for lying and talking back
A man was arrested in Washington State for allegedly waterboarding his 7-year-old daughter because she had misbehaved, a report said on Tuesday.
Matthew Farrar, 27, was taken into police custody on Sunday after his girlfriend went to a local 7-Eleven to report that Farrar had bound his daughter’s mouth while pouring water over her face, according to NBC News.
The woman said that Farrar had “violently spanked” the child with a belt before dragging her into the bathroom while she was screaming “bloody murder,” the report said.
Farrar then allegedly “grabbed a red colored wash towel and wetted it with water” before placing it over her face and emptying a 17-ounce plastic bottle with water over her head.
“He slowly started pouring water onto the hand towel that was held on [the girl’s] face, over her mouth and nose,” court documents allege.
He had said the girl was lying and talking back.
Once the incident was through, the woman grabbed the girl and fled to the 7-Eleven to call police.
Farrar admitted to striking the girl and using water.
“I think it could have been a little too much,” he told the police.
The man was charged with two counts of child abuse.

5-year-old brings crack cocaine to preschool
PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia police are investigating after a 5-year-old boy brought about two dozen vials of crack cocaine into a preschool at a Roman Catholic church.
Police say the boy told a teacher’s aide at St. Cyprian Children’s Center that the person who handed him the bag told him to hide it.
The Archdiocese of Philadelphia tells WTXF-TV that the teacher’s aide took the bag, which she suspected held drugs, informed an administrator, and they called 911.
No other children came in contact with the drugs, and no one was harmed.
No arrests have been made.

Boy finds gun outside baseball game, accidentally shoots mom
A college baseball game was postponed in Tennessee on Tuesday evening after an 8-year-old boy allegedly shot his mother in what police are saying was an accident, according to reports.
The unidentified woman was transported to a hospital in critical condition but her condition was later upgraded to stable, FOX 13 of Memphis reported.
The owner of the gun has been detained and police are conducting an investigation to determine if they will press charges, authorities said.
The shooting happened at USA Stadium in Millington, where the University of Memphis Tigers were playing the University of Tennessee at Martin.
Police said the child found the gun inside an antique car being displayed at the stadium and accidentally shot his mother during the first inning of the game, around 6:45 p.m.
“The juvenile believed it was a toy gun. He picked the gun up, pulled the trigger, and accidentally shot his mother,” Millington police Chief Mark Dunbar said, according to WMC-TV in Memphis. The game was then halted, according to FOX 13.
The University of Memphis issued a statement after the incident.
“We are saddened by the unfortunate accidental shooting at the baseball game at USA Stadium in Millington,” the university’s Athletic Department said in the statement, according to the Commercial Appeal of Memphis. “The University of Memphis is cooperating fully with authorities in the investigation. Our deepest thoughts are with the family.”

Texas officer shoots and kills woman after she yells ‘I’m pregnant’
BAYTOWN, Texas — A police officer shot and killed a woman at a Houston-area apartment complex after she hit him with his Taser during a struggle, shocking him, police said.
In a video recorded by a witness and posted on social media, the officer can be seen standing over Pamela Turner and reaching down to try to grab her arms. Turner, who is lying on the ground outside the apartments in Baytown, yells “I’m pregnant.” Moments later, something flashes as she reaches her arm out toward the officer. Suddenly, the officer pulls away from Turner, steps back and fires five gunshots.
Police Lt. Steve Dorris said Tuesday that the officer shot at Turner after she hit him in the groin with the Taser. Turner did not fire the stun gun but it shocked the officer when it struck him, Dorris said.
The lieutenant said police have since learned from the medical examiner’s office in Harris County that Turner, who was 44 and black, was not pregnant. She was pronounced dead at the scene, he said. A spokeswoman with the medical examiner’s office declined to comment.
The officer, who police have not identified by name, has been placed on paid administrative leave, Dorris said. The department is reviewing whether the shooting was in line with its policy on the use of deadly force, he said.
Before the shooting, the officer, who is Hispanic and an 11-year veteran of the police force, was patrolling the apartment complex and tried to arrest Turner because he knew she had outstanding warrants, Dorris said. The two had previous dealings, but Dorris did not provide further details about the interactions or Turner’s warrants.
Turner had three outstanding misdemeanor warrants for two separate incidents, according to Harris County court records. She was accused of criminal mischief and assault on April 25 after a manager at her apartment complex told police that Turner scratched her face and broke her glasses during a confrontation over an eviction notice.
On May 2, court records show, Turner was again accused of criminal mischief for damaging the back window of a woman’s car.
Following her May 2 arrest, Turner was ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation, according to court records.
The video of what happened Monday night shows the officer and Turner engaged in a struggle after he tried to arrest her. In the video, Turner is heard saying “You’re actually harassing me” and “I’m actually walking to my house” before falling to the ground. While on her back, she appears to scuffle with the officer, saying “Why? Why?” and then “I’m pregnant.”
Investigators are trying to contact whoever recorded the video, because the person was a witness to the shooting, the lieutenant said.
“It’s a tragic event for everybody involved,” Dorris said. “Of course, our hearts go out to the family of the deceased as well as our officer.”
On Tuesday afternoon, Turner’s neighbors gathered not far from an orange ring painted on the apartment complex parking lot to mark where she was shot. Standing amid the modest brick and aluminum homes, one of Turner’s neighbors said the incident frightened her.
“It’s just sad — very sad — when you see somebody for the past six months walking around,” Jennifer Sims said. “Even though you don’t talk to them, you keep an eye on them, you know. And then you wake up and realize, ‘Oh, my God. She was shot so close to home.’ That’s scary, and very sad.”
Baytown, a city of more than 75,000 people, is about 25 miles (40 kilometers) east of Houston. Its population is 35 percent white, 46 percent Hispanic and 16 percent black, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
Outside the city’s police station Tuesday, about a dozen protesters gathered carrying signs with “No Justice. No Peace” and “Black Lives Matter” written on them.
“This is another black woman who has lost her life,” said Ashton P. Woods, an activist with Black Lives Matter Houston. “Another black person who has lost their life, for senseless violence. Five shots. Unarmed.”
Kevin Davis, a police detective and the author of a book on investigating police use of force, said it is impossible to make a proper assessment of Turner’s shooting based only on the video and facts released so far.
Davis, who is not connected to the case, said the smartphone videos that have become common in police shootings can lead people to rush to judgment. “We owe it to everyone involved, including the decedent, to do a professional investigation,” he said.
