The New Mutants Trailer Review
The X-Men Film Franchise is delving into the horror genre in this new installment entitled The New Mutants.
From what I can tell the movie will have our 5 main characters, Cannonball, Sunspot, Magik, Mirage, abd Wolfsbane are seemingly trying to escape a psychiatric ward that has dark intentions.
Let me start off my saying I’m very interested at the genre this movie has taken. Very rarely do we see a super hero movie with horror elements added to it. Deadpool was a comedy, Logan was a western and now The New Mutants is horror.
The trailer doesn’t show too much which is good and I’ll definitely be looking forward to the second trailer when it comes out. I hope that with the second trailer we’ll get to see all of their powers manifest to see what it will look like on the big screen.
The New Mutants, are you looking forward to it?
Alexandra Shipp Talks About Storm’s Character In Interview
To think that in a little over 2 months the movie X-Men Apocalypse will be hitting theaters. With each passing day we’re getting a little more information each day. Recently actress Alexandra Shipp who will be playing Storm did an interview with Collider.com giving some details about her character.
Here’s one of the questions she answered in her interview:
Can you tell us a little bit about Storm? Or, this Storm, your Storm.
SHIPP: My Storm in particular is kind of a, well yeah, she’s the past derivative of Halle’s Storm. This Storm is a little bit different because you’re meeting her in Cairo. You’re seeing kind of a little bit of where she comes from. You’re seeing all the pain that she’s gone through. It’s not like she’s in the mansion having a great time. She’s so different from all of the other kids because they come from families. They come from some sort of love and support whereas Storm hasn’t had that since her parents died in that plane crash into the house when she was like 5.
It’s like, she’s kind of just all really messed up and the only mutants that she knows are bad mutants. The only mutants that she knows are the mutants who use their powers for stealing, or protecting thugs or whatever. It’s not like, “Oh, we’re going to save the planet”. It’s like, “Forget the planet, I need money so I’m going to distract you with some wind and then I’m going to pick pocket you.” She’s in survival mode so when she meets Apocalypse, she’s kind of like hit this revelation where she has been struggling to feel like she belongs somewhere.

X-Men ’92 Comic Series To Return As On Going Series
Well there’s good news for Marvel fans. Today Marvel has announced that the comic series X-Men ’92 will be returning as an ongoing comic book series in Spring of 2016.
Earlier in the year, Marvel created the X-Men ’92, a Secret Wars miniseries. It had the look of the popular animated series X-Men: The Animated Series, which ran from 1992 to 1997. Chris Sims and Chad Bowers will continue to pen the series. It will be illustrated by Alti Firmansyah and David Nakayama will do the cover artwork.
Well Marvel will definitely be getting my money. I look forward to buying these, are you?
