Resurfaced R. Kelly video proves singer knew Aaliyah’s age at 14
Clip appears to debunk earlier claims that Kelly was unaware Aaliyah was underage when they married
Footage has emerged that appears to incriminate R. Kelly for knowingly marrying Aaliyah when she was underage.
Kelly’s lawyer has in the past denied that his client knew that the late pop star, who died in a plane crash in 2001, was just 15 when they married in secret in 1994.
However, a documentary filmed earlier that same year hears Kelly discussing Aaliyah’s age as he worked on her debut album. Footage of Kelly in a recording studio is overlaid with a voice recording in which he says: “Right now I’m producing a very talented lady – a young lady. She’s 14, Aaliyah. She’s real street.”
Kelly and Aaliyah also appeared in a Video Soul interview later in 1994 where they were asked about the nature of their relationship. In the footage, Aaliyah refuses to tell host Leslie Segar her real age, saying that it’s “a secret”.
It was reported shortly after the interview that they married in an Illinois hotel room on August 31 1994. A Cook County marriage certificate that was published by Vibe magazine, The New York Times reports, listed Aaliyah’s age as 18. She would have been 15 years old at the time.
Kelly’s new attorney Steven Greenberg last week denied that his client knew of Aaliyah’s real age at the time of their illegal wedding, which was annulled a short time after.
The news comes in the wake of Lifetime’s recent docu-series Surviving R Kelly, which sees multiple women accuse Kelly of sexual abuse.
Kelly has denied these claims as he has done with numerous sexual misconduct allegations in the past but he issued a fresh denial through Greenberg last week.
According to TMZ, Chicago police officers have visited Kelly’s Trump Tower apartment to question two women over claims he was holding them against their will.
Last year, Kelly denied accusations of holding young women in an abusive cult.

R. Kelly’s Estranged Daughter Calls Him A ‘Monster’ Amid Sex Abuse Allegations
“I am well aware of who and what he is,” Buku Abi wrote on Instagram.
R. Kelly’s estranged daughter spoke out for the first time since the “Surviving R. Kelly” docuseries premiered on Lifetime last week.
Buku Abi, whose real name is Joann Kelly, posted a statement to her Instagram stories on Thursday evening, denouncing her father as a “monster” and asking for understanding for her family. Abi is the daughter of R. Kelly and his ex-wife, Andrea Kelly.
“I just want you all to understand that devastated is an understatement for all that I feel currently,” Abi wrote. “I do apologize if my silence to all that is happening comes off as careless. That is my last intention. I pray for all the families & women who have been affected by my father’s actions. Trust, I have been deeply affected by all of this.”
She added: “The same monster you [are] all confronting me about is my father. I am well aware of who and what he is. I grew up in that house.”
Abi said neither she nor her mother have spoken to R. Kelly in years.
“My mother, siblings and I would never condone, support or be a part of ANYTHING negative he has done and or continues to do in his life,” she added.
R. Kelly did not immediately respond to HuffPost’s request for comment.
“Surviving R. Kelly,” a docuseries that highlights the R&B singer’s history of psychologically and sexually abusing young women, brought renewed attention to the accusations and increased pressure to pursue criminal charges. Prosecutors in Georgia announced this week that they are investigating some of the allegations discussed in the docuseries.
An average of 2.1 million people tuned in to watch the series, which aired from Jan. 3 to Jan. 5, and the National Sexual Assault Hotline recently reported a 20-percent surge in calls on dates the program aired.
In the last few weeks, multiple artists, including Lady Gaga and Chance the Rapper, have publicly apologized for working with R. Kelly and have condemned his alleged behavior.
Andrea Kelly, was married to R. Kelly for 13 years until 2009. Last year, she spoke out, alleging she endured domestic abuse at the hands of Kelly in an interview with TV One’s “Sister Circle.”

‘Surviving R. Kelly’: Singer’s former ‘student’ Keke Palmer vows to ‘stand by my sisters’
Actress and singer Keke Palmer was once a big fan of R. Kelly, but that changed after she watched Surviving R. Kelly, the Lifetime docuseries that details the allegations of sexual and emotional abuse that multiple women, some of them underage, have brought against him.
Kelly has denied the allegations.
But Palmer, who’s long been friends with him, was greatly upset by the women’s accusations.
While she once admired Kelly for overcoming obstacles to become the “musical genius he is today,” Palmer said Kelly has “slapped God in the face by his actions towards these women.”
She said she would “stand by my sisters.” Her lengthy post ended with a broken heart emoji.
Palmer once talked about Kelly giving her career advice. “When I was younger, I always felt like I had to separate [singing and acting],” she told Billboard in September 2017. “But I spent a lot of time working with R. Kelly and one thing that he told me, he was like, ‘Keke, you don’t need to shy away from your acting. You bring that to a part of your music. You make that take your music to the next level.’”
Kelly also documented some of their time hanging out together.
Since Surviving R. Kelly debuted on Jan. 3, the singer has been denounced by John Legend, Jada Pinkett Smith, Chance the Rapper and Meek Mill, among others. Kelly is also being investigated for sexual misconduct in Georgia.

Parents Of R. Kelly Victim Launch ‘Abuse Hotline’ Against The R&B Singer
The family of one of R. Kelly’s alleged abuse victims has created an “abuse hotline” for victims to report their encounters with the R&B singer.
Tim and Jonjelyn Savage first accused R. Kelly of brainwashing their daughter, Joycelyn, and holding her against her will in a July 2017 Buzzfeed article. The Savages said they haven’t seen their daughter since December 2016 and last spoke to her on the phone in December 2017. Though Joycelyn has come out to dispute her parents’ claims, she still remains with the singer.
According to Mic, the Savages have been inundated with calls from women or parents with their own stores of abuse by the R&B singer since the Buzzfeed article. Because many were too scared to speak out, it pushed the couple to launch the “R. Kelly abuse hotline” this week.
“One reason I feel that he’s been getting away with a lot of the allegations for the last two decades is because people feel he has money and power and they don’t have the resources to fight him,” Jonjelyn Savage told Mic.
R. Kelly has been accused of sexual misconduct for over two decades, but the calls for him to be held accountable have grown in the past two years. An online campaign to #MuteRKelly has picked up steam, resulting in several concerts being canceled. The singer was also called out earlier this year by influential women like Ava DuVernay, Shonda Rhimes, and #MeToo movement founder, Tarana Burke.
In July, he released a 19-minute song called, “I Admit,” apparently bearing his soul about a slew of topics from his illiteracy and his predilection for young women, to his current status as “a broke-a** legend” and “the most disrespected artist” in the game.
He has also denied all of the accusations against him, calling the recent #MuteRKelly and Time’s Up campaigns against him an “attempted public lynching.”
Courtsey of Andrea Kelly
Kelly’s wife, Andrea files for an order of protection alleging Kelly hit her. They later reconcile.
His ex-wife, Andrea Kelly, has also shared her own story of abuse while marriage, telling The View earlier this month that she wanted to bring “validity” to the women who have come out with sexual abuse claims against him.
The new hotline allows callers to leave a message detailing their allegations. As more people come forward, the Savages say they want to build a case against R. Kelly.
“There’s no age limit on being mind-controlled, drugged, brainwashed, there’s no age limit on that,” Jonjelyn Savage said. “So the more we have more young ladies or even men, or parents that are willing to speak out, the more we think it can help our daughter as well as helping other victims.”

Jerhonda Pace on Allegedly Being Trained To Please RKelly
In these episode trailers of The Real Jerhonda Pace describes allegedly being trained to please RKelly. It seems as though The Real cast is not properly trained to interview abuse survivors.
In the first clip linked below at the :08 mark Jerhonda begins on how she was trained to sexually please a man, Jeannie seems to eagerly demand “Break that down” as she leans forward in her seat. At the :16 mark Loni suggestively asks: “how do they do it?” (referring to the sexual training), forgetting that this is a serious matter and not another opportunity for a sex joke.
In the third trailer linked below Jerhonda describes the moment she decided to escape. She lied to RKelly and managers and said that family was waiting on her, she left, and never looked back.
Comment below: should legal action be taken against RKelly?
