Police arrest man who allegedly traveled to Utah to teach 13-year-old girl how to have sex
ST. GEORGE, Utah — Police arrested a man earlier this week after he allegedly arranged to teach a teenage girl how to have sex, but it turns out the “mother” he was communicating with was really an undercover investigator.
St. George News reports 34-year-old Jeremy David Demoss Fisher of California was arrested Tuesday and booked into jail on charges of conspiracy to commit rape of a child, felony enticing, soliciting, and seducing and luring a minor by Internet or text message.
Fisher began communicating with agents on May 9 as the agents carried out an undercover sting to catch suspected sexual predators. He began communicating with someone he thought was the mother of a 13-year-old girl.
“Fisher was told during the chats that the woman he was talking to had a 13-year-old daughter and wanted her to be taught how to have sex by a gentleman,” the arresting officer wrote in a sworn statement, according to St. George News. “When asked if he was into Family Taboo, Fisher responded ‘Yes! Love it. Watch mom daughter and son porn, or brother sister, anything that keeps it in the family.”
The man allegedly sent several pictures of himself, including photos of his genitals, while traveling to St. George for the meeting. When he arrived at the location agreed upon, he was arrested by police and booked into jail.
Uber driver charged with raping female passenger
An Uber driver accused by prosecutors of having sexually assaulted a female passenger after she sought a ride home from a gathering in the upscale seaside city of Newport Beach, California, was charged with rape on Wednesday.
Angel Sanchez, 36, was arrested a day after the March 30 attack, which took place on a street near the woman’s home in Santa Ana, California. The victim in the case was not identified by authorities.
Sanchez, who is scheduled for an initial court appearance in the case next week, faces a maximum sentence of eight years in prison if convicted.
Representatives for Uber could not immediately be reached for comment on Wednesday.
Prosecutors say the woman had been attending a company gathering in Newport Beach and her colleagues requested an Uber ride to take her home. They added Sanchez drove the victim to Santa Ana before sexually assaulting her.
BRONX COUNSELOR ACCUSED OF RAPING YOUNG GIRLS IN HIS CARE
A former counselor is now behind bars, indicted on charges he raped and sexually abused three teenagers in his care.
Willie Bowman was a counselor at the Henry Ittleson Center in the Bronx, where District Attorney Darcel Clark said the 30-year-old used his position to prey on young girls.
The victims range in age from 12 to 14, and investigators said the acts happened from October 2014 to July 2015.
Bowman was previously terminated from his position at Henry Ittleson, a children’s day treatment center run by the Jewish Board of Family and Children Services.
Officials with the organization released the following statement:
“When The Jewish Board of Family and Children’s Services uncovered allegations of Willie Bowman’s inappropriate behavior, we immediately removed and suspended him and reported the incident to The Justice Center. We have cooperated fully with the Justice Center and law enforcement. Mr. Bowman was subsequently fired. At the Jewish Board, we expect our employees to adhere to the highest professional standards. We will not tolerate anything less. The safety and protection of those in our care is our highest priority.”
Bowman is charged 16 counts of rape, nine counts of sex abuse, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of course of sexual conduct against a child.
Bail was set at $75,000, and the case was adjourned to July 18.

Man charged with two rapes gets one day in jail
(NEWSER) – A former Indiana University student charged with raping two women will get off with a year of probation and one day in jail, WXIN reports.
John Enochs took a plea deal and was sentenced Thursday, pleading guilty to misdemeanor battery. According to the New York Daily News, it’s unclear why prosecutors decided to drop the rape charges — felonies punishable by up to 16 years in prison — against Enochs. But that didn’t stop the sentence from immediately being compared to the infamously lenient one issued against Stanford swimmer Brock Turner earlier this month.
A woman says she was at an April 2015 party at the Delta Tau Delta fraternity when she went inside to use the restroom, WISH reports. She says the next thing she remembers is being naked and alone with an unknown man having sex with her. She says she told him to stop multiple times, but he wouldn’t. She suffered a laceration to her genitals in the attack.
Authorities say security video showed Enochs enter the room with the victim and leave 24 minutes later. Police found a similar case from 2013, and that victim agreed to work with authorities; DNA evidence, eyewitness statements and IDs from the women led in September to the two rape charges against Enochs.
Indiana University has been criticized for how it handles sexual assaults on campus and currently has three Title IX complaints against it.
