Cops caught using coin-flip app to decide whether to arrest woman
A flip of a coin by Georgia cops determined a woman’s fate during a traffic stop in April, body camera footage showed.
The video showed Roswell police officers laughing as they used a coin-flip app to decide whether to detain Sarah Webb during a traffic stop, 11 Alive reported.
Officer Courtney Brown was heard asking Webb whether she knew how fast she was going. Webb apologized and said she was late for work, and Brown asked her to turn off the car and hand over her keys.
“The ground is wet and it’s been raining you’re going over 80 miles an hour on this type of a road. That’s reckless driving,” Brown said.
“I’m so sorry,” Webb replied.
Brown returned to her police cruiser to talk with fellow officers about whether to arrest Webb or just give her ticket.
“What do you think?” Kristee Wilson, a responding officer, was heard saying.
Brown said she “didn’t have speed detection,” but the other officer pointed out that the body camera recorded her cruiser’s speed, which would have shown how fast she was going to catch up to Webb.
Brown was then heard saying, “Hold on,” as she opens a coin-flip app on her phone. Wilson suggested that heads should mean arrest and tails should mean release. Brown agreee and flipped the coin in the app.
“A [arrest] head, R[release] tail,” Wilson said.
“OK,” Brown replied.
“This is tails, right?” Wilson asked.
“Yeah, so release?” Brown responded.
“23 [the police code for arrest],” Wilson replied.
“Michael Jordan?” Brown said while laughing. “All right, so I’ve got too fast for conditions, reckless…”
The officers decided to charge Webb with going too fast for conditions and reckless driving. Brown then arrested Webb, handcuffing her and putting her in the back of a patrol car. Webb was crying as she walked into the police cruiser. She called her employer to let her know of her arrest. Webb was not aware of the coin flip until 11 Alive obtained the video and informed her of the footage.
“Wow, these people put my freedom in the hands of a coin flip,” Webb told 11 Alive. “And that’s disgusting.”
The charges were dropped against Webb on Monday, and the case was dismissed.
Roswell Police Chief Rusty Grant told FOX 5 Atlanta that as he soon as he found out about the incident he started an internal investigation and put Brown and Wilson on paid administrative leave. He said he could not discuss details as the investigation was ongoing.
“I have much higher expectations of our police officers and I am appalled that any law enforcement officer would trivialize the decision-making process of something as important as the arrest of a person,” Grant said.
Webb said she would like to see the officers fired.
“I think they should be fired. I don’t think at all that they should be getting a paid vacation,” she said.

‘Coupon Carl’ Calls Cops on Black Woman at CVS for Allegedly Using a Forged Coupon, But Was Busted Himself for … Forgery Less Than 2 Years Ago
Yes, this is yet another story of a sorry white person calling the police on a black person for something trivial and not criminal—his moniker? “Coupon Carl”—but it’s also a cautionary tale of the blowback of such actions; or, as my mama says, “When you point a finger, there are three pointing back at you.”
Morry Matson, a white Chicago CVS manager who called the police on a black woman who tried to use a manufacturer’s coupon at the pharmacy (yes, you read that correctly), was captured on video in the absurd interaction.
The woman, Camilla Hudson, told Block Club Chicago that she initially tried to use the self-checkout, but it lacked a mechanism for taking coupons. It reports:
The store’s manager, Matson, offered to assist her on a register, but the situation escalated when he called for another manager, she said. That manager, whose name was not known, told Hudson they couldn’t accept the voucher because he’d never seen one like it before and accused her of possibly handwriting it, she said.
The situation escalated as Hudson was rightfully offended at being called a liar and a thief. She was asked to leave but stood her ground as Matson called police.
A screenshot of the Facebook post telling of her side of the story (taken down by the social media platform) is below:
In 2016, DNA Info Chicago (now in archives), reported that “A vote on extending the lakefront path from Edgewater to Rogers Park was yanked from the November ballot after city officials ruled that five pages of signatures on the petitions calling for the vote were forged.”
Guess who the forger was?
Yep, old Coupon Carl (aka Morry Matson).
Raw Story reports that Morry was leading an effort to build an expensive waterfront bike path to a beach near his own home, saying that improving the beachfront would not mean they saw an influx of “people from the South Side” (and we know who he means).
Yet apparently, an opponent of the bike path discovered that in at least five of the 13 pages of his ballot measure contained signatures written by Matson.
Papa John’s founder resigns as chairman after using a racial slur on a call
He was undergoing an exercise on how to handle controversial situations when he made the comment.
Papa John’s founder John Schnatter resigned as board chairman from the pizza company after he apologized for using a racial slur on a conference call that was set up to teach Schnatter how to not say offensive things.
This is the latest in the fallout for Schantter, who faced increasing pressure after he admitted using the n-word and described a scene of violence against African Americans on a conference call in May.
Forbes first reported the call, which was set up to help take Schnatter through a “role-playing exercise” to help him deal with racially sensitive situations. Schantter stepped down as CEO from Papa John’s last year, after he blamed NFL leadership for failing to stop anthem protests, which he said had driven down the chain’s sales.

Mom Of Sorority Girl Who Posted Viral Video ‘F*****g N****s’ Says Her Daughter Deserved To Get Expelled
Jill Barbera is heartbroken to see her estranged daughter “degrading herself.”
Harley Barber’s racist rants went viral, and as a result she was dismissed from her Alpha Phi sorority and expelled from the University of Alabama. Soon after Barber apologized for her offensive remarks, and now her mother Jill Barbera is speaking out.
Barbera said she forced Barber out of the house in December 2016 after months of arguing, and that Barbera did not raise her daughter to have these views. Barber then moved in with her paternal grandmother.
“This is not a reflection of how she was raised. She’s just degrading herself and it breaks my heart,” Barbera said. “I hope someone can look at this and learn. I don’t want anyone to feel what I feel.”
The mother, estranged from her daughter, expressed her support for the University of Alabama’s decision to remove her daughter from the campus, as reported by NJ.com.
“I agree with the punishment,” said Barbera, whose daughter earned national scorn for repeatedly using the n-word in an Instagram video. “I fully support their decision.”
Despite Barbera’s agreement with the punishment, three prominent civil rights activists urged the University of Alabama to rescind their decision in an open letter to the college’s president, according to NJ.com.
Although the former American Civil Liberties Union officials said they were “dismayed and disgusted” by Barber’s videos wherein she repeatedly used the N-word, they argue her expulsion was “unconstitutional, un-strategic and likely to be ineffective.”
“The University of Alabama is an educational institution, and this was a teachable moment that you should not squander,” the three civil rights activists wrote University of Alabama President Stuart R. Bell.
“The impulse to punish Ms. Barber in response to what she said in that video is understandable as an emotional reaction,” said the letter signed by Ira Glasser, former executive director of the ACLU, Norman Siegel, former director of the New York Civil Liberties Union, and Michael Meyers, the president and executive director of the New York Civil Rights Coalition and former executive committee member of ACLU.
The open letter by the civil rights activists says the school’s decision is impeding on the right of free speech at public institutions.
“The first ban on ‘offensive’ speech is never the last, and the power to ban speech is barred by the First Amendment because it all depends on who is exercising that power, and what he or she finds ‘offensive,'” the letter writes argue.
Barber’s words were found offensive by many; however, the activists suggest this expulsion can then be used in less popular scenarios. For example, if a student were to speak out in favor of abortion rights on a conservative campus and the school expelled them, they would be banning their own version of “offensive” speech.
A Kardashian Takes Another Inappropriate Photo (It’s Khloe This Time)
Khloe Kardashian posed in a photo shoot with a Black fashion model, Slick Woods, as part of an advertising campaign for the Kardashian’s clothing line: Good American Outfits. It is reported that the other pictures were decent, but the internet came together to deem this picture below as… (surprise) racist.
Khloe is pictured here looking down, lovingly, at her pet that is clutching her ivory thigh.
Here, Khloe is pictured looking down at Slick Woods, who is crouched around Khloe’s leg.
The picture seems to be reminiscent of slave children, under a Stockholm Syndrome spell, curled up around a slave master’s feet. At this point, I am not too sure whether or not this was done on purpose because even though the picture seems innocent enough, you would think that with all the (racist) controversy they have been involved in, the Kardashian Klan’s PR person would steer them clear of disrespecting the Ancestors, but no.
Here lies yet another Kardshian racist incident for The Big Book of Receipts.

Firefighter Says “Saving One Dog Is ‘More Important’ Than A Million Black People”
Tyler Roysdon, a volunteer for Franklin Township, wrote that if he had to choose between saving a dog or a black man from a burning building, the dog would get priority, because “one dog is more important than a million n****rs.”
Roysdon has since removed the post from his Facebook page, but a screenshot appears below.
Once township officials discovered the post, Roysdon was suspended indefinitely, according to local station WHIO-TV.
The township will hold a disciplinary hearing for him on Sept. 27, the station reported.
Township officials released an official statement about Roysdon on Thursday, confirming that he was suspended until the township’s board of trustees can meet to determine his fate:
“Recently, a Franklin Township volunteer firefighter posted unacceptable remarks on social media. Upon gaining knowledge of this information, Fire Chief Steve Bishop immediately contacted the firefighter and directed the comments be removed. The firefighter was suspended without pay until the Board of Township Trustees could meet to determine a course of action. Chief Bishop does not have the authority to terminate employees. Termination of any township employee requires a vote by the Board of Trustees.”
HuffPost reached out to Roysdon, who did not immediately respond.
A woman who identified herself as Joei Frame Roysdon told WXIX-TV that she was Roysdon’s wife and said, “He admitted that he said things that were wrong and apologized.”
She added: “Everyone deserves a second chance and is also entitled to their own opinion.”
Meanwhile, Ryan Grubbs, who works as a volunteer firefighter with Roysdon, said his colleague’s words go against the department’s core values.
“We don’t pick and choose who needs us, we just go,” Grubbs told WKEF-TV. “We’re volunteers, we’re doing this because we love the community.”
Comment below: do you agree with what Roysdon’s wife said, is everyone entitled to their opinion without penalty?
Woman reportedly told shopper in Va. store: ‘I wish they didn’t let you in the country’
WASHINGTON (WJLA) – A woman appears to tell a fellow shopper, “I wish they didn’t let you in the country,” in a video that is being shared online across multiple platforms.
According to the social media accounts of comedian Jeremy McLellan, his female friend, who he says is Muslim, was in a Trader Joe’s in Reston, Virginia on Saturday. In a Facebook post, McLellan says his friend let the woman cut in line ahead of her.
McLellan says the woman then asked his friend why she was not wearing something similar. McLellan then says the woman started talking about female genital mutilation.
McLellan said in his post that his friend wishes to remain anonymous at this time.
In the video, McLellan’s friend says she should not have let the woman in front of her.
“I wish they didn’t let you in the country,” the woman then says.
McLellan’s friend then says that she was born in the United States.
“Oh, you were?” the woman responds.
“Obama’s not in office anymore,” the woman says after a brief pause. “You don’t have a Muslim in there anymore.”
McLellan’s friend then says she wished Obama were still president.
“He’s gone. He’s gone,” the woman continued. “He may be in jail, too, in the future.”
McLellan’s friend can then be heard saying the woman looked “a little crazy” and suggested the woman might need to get some help.
The woman told McLellan’s friend that she was fine.
“No, you’re not,” McLellan’s friend says. “Because you don’t just strike up a conversation with people in line talking about stuff like that if you’re normal.”
The woman says that she is normal, then later asks, “What set you off? Obama?”
McLellan says he wants the video to spread.
Yashar Ali, a writer for New York Magazine and The Daily Beast also shared the video on his Twitter page.
Authorities have not released a statement on the incident at this time. ABC7 News reached out to a Trader Joe’s in Reston but the manager there said he could not confirm that it was the same store in the video.
NEW CHATTANOOGA CITY COUNCILWOMAN OPENLY ADMITS SHE’S A RACIST
The newest member of the Chattanooga City Council has an extensive history of criminal behavior and once proudly declared herself racist.
Demetrus “Meechie” Coonrod was arrested and sentenced to prison for charges including child abuse, assault, and armed robbery, local NBC affiliate WRCB reported on Wednesday. Coonrod is also the vice chairwoman of the Hamilton County Democratic Party, The Washington Free Beacon reports.
Local news website the Chattanooga reports that Coonrod took part in a string of armed robberies targeting restaurants, and on one occasion a blood plasma center. The ringleader of those robberies received 45 years in prison, while Coonrod received seven. That sentence was later reduced in exchange for her testimony against a sexually predatory group of prison guards.
Coonrod was released to a Salvation Army halfway house in 2010, but was kicked out after a string of violations. In the final incident, Coonrod (who is African-American) hurled a racial slur at a white worker.
The future lawmaker said that she wanted to speak to a black man, yelling, “You’re a f**king peckerhead,” and, “You’re a f**king peckerwood.” According to the incident report, she also asserted she was a racist.
“You are god damn right I’m racist,” she reportedly said.
But fellow council members tell WRCB they are standing by Coonrod.
“Her past is her past. She was elected by the people,” said council member Darrin Ledford.
“She made it clear up front,” Anthony Byrd, another colleague, said. “If you put your mind to something and put God first, the sky is the limit.”
Coonrod told WRCB that she wanted to help her community and turn her life around.
“I had time to think about my life. Like what am I doing? What am I not doing? How can I make things right. I knew I did not want to come outside of prison being the same person I was going inside prison,” she said. “I began to knock on every door. Reach out to elected officials saying hey I need some help. I need you to help me help my community.”
Coonrod is set to be sworn in to Chattanooga City Council next week.
