Thief steals chemo medication from patient’s porch
A brazen thief stole chemotherapy medication from an Oklahoma City man’s doorstep just minutes after it was delivered, delaying his treatment for brain cancer.
James Mills, 43, said his planned round of chemotherapy on Monday would not happen after a hooded suspect swiped the potentially life-saving delivery from his porch on Saturday.
“I checked the door and didn’t see the package,” Mills told KFOR. “I double checked and they said it had been delivered. I check the security cameras, and I saw the UPS driver deliver it, then about eight minutes later another individual comes up, grabs it and takes off.”
Video shows that the suspect took steps to avoid identifying himself during the heartless heist, keeping his head down and away from two cameras installed on Mills’ porch.
“I’m set to start a rotation of chemo [Monday] and it takes a day at least to get that mail ordered to us, so that’s kind of my concern at this point,” Mills told the station. “Every thing has to be taken at a certain time, at a certain dose … so hopefully I can get a replacement before I get too far out of range.”
Mills’ wife, Heather, said she was seething over the aggravation the thief has caused her husband.
“It’s not easy to get, I mean, we had trouble getting medicine to begin with,” she told the station. “Just having to call the pharmacy and go through the doctor and get approvals and things like that, so just that in itself is frustrating. So now to have to go through it all over again, just to get a replacement, it made me really angry.”
Mills said the pharmacy was closed over the weekend, leaving him without another option until it reopened early Monday.
“It’s pretty expensive medication as well,” Mills told the station. “We’ll have to find out what the procedure is to get [a] replacement.”
Mills, who did not immediately return a message seeking comment Monday, has filed a report with Oklahoma City police regarding the theft and told investigators that the medication without insurance assistance was worth $30,000, according to an incident report.
No arrests had been made as of Monday afternoon, police confirmed to The Post.

Woman allegedly drove on car rim with margarita in cup holder
Tequila makes her tires fall off!
Police say an Oklahoma driver was busted Sunday morning driving with a margarita in her cup holder — but no tire on a rim of her car.
Two officers pulled over Amy Ann Dillon, 28, after they heard the metal rim grinding on the asphalt from the approaching vehicle, according to the Tulsa Police Department.
“We could hear her coming from a block away,” police said in a social media post.
Dillon — who a breathalyzer later determined had a .21 blood-alcohol level — drove past the officers on the rim and was arrested after she turned into an apartment complex, authorities said.
When asked how much alcohol she had to drink, the woman — who police say “could barely stand upright” — told officers she had two shots of tequila.
The cops then discovered a full margarita in the cup holder of Dillon’s car.
Police said they believe she “wrecked her car on something” prior to the arrest and “assume she was driving on [the metal rim] for some time.”
Dillon was booked at David L. Moss Criminal Justice Center, where she grinned for a mugshot.
She faces charges for DUI, operating a motorized vehicle with defective tires, transport of an open container, and driving without a license in possession.
More charges could be filed against Dillon if authorities discover she was involved in a collision.
Dillon works as a waitress to put herself through school, according to social media, where one of her patrons defended her.
“She’s been a server at restaurants my husband and I have frequented for years,” a local resident — identified as Brooke Nicole — commented on the police Facebook page. “She’s not a bad person, she made a mistake… I look forward to (hopefully) seeing her back at work soon and pursuing her education.”
Woman allegedly kills roommate over texts to ex-fiancé
An Oklahoma woman is accused of killing her roommate after she found text messages with her ex-fiancé, according to officials.
Kristen Elizabeth Jones, 21, allegedly shot her 23-year-old roommate, Miranda Pederson, in the head then covered up the murder by setting their house in Luther on fire, The Oklahoman reported.
Jones’ ex-fiancé, Bryson Harrington, lived at the house with both women, according to the newspaper.
The alleged shooting occurred when Jones discovered Pederson had been exchanging texts with Harrington.
In a phone call monitored by authorities, Jones told Harrington that Pederson first stabbed her in the hand.
Jones then allegedly grabbed a gun and shot Pederson in the back of the head, according to police. She also reportedly admitted to burning down the home to “cover it up because she got scared.”
Hickory Hills Fire Protection District responded to the home around 9:45 a.m. Monday after the fire chief spotted smoke, news station KFOR reported.
“While at the scene, putting out the fire, they discovered a body inside the home,” Oklahoma County Sheriff spokesman Mark Opgrande told KFOR. “They immediately called the sheriff’s office, and we called our homicide investigators to the scene.”
Authorities said they learned Jones fled the state and pulled her over Monday afternoon at a traffic stop in Gainesville, Texas.
She was booked Tuesday into the Oklahoma County jail on suspicion of murder, arson and desecration of a human corpse.

Cops bust wife of high school football coach waiting for sex romp with teen
A married teacher in Oklahoma was arrested Wednesday after having a sexual relationship with an underage student.
Hunter Day, 22, a science teacher at Yukon High School, was arrested by the Canadian County Sheriff’s Department on complaints of second degree rape, facilitating sexual contact with a minor and possession of child pornography, KWTV said. She is reportedly married to the school’s football coach.
Authorities said they investigated the relationship after being notified by the boy’s parents and finding explicit pictures and messages on his phone, the report said.
On the day of the arrest, the sheriff’s department said that Day and the teen had planned to meet at her house, KWTV reported. Deputies arrived at the residence and reportedly texted the teacher from the boy’s phone saying he’d arrived. Day responded to the message saying, “The doors [sic] unlocked as usual,” the report said.
When investigators entered the home, Day was sitting on the floor of her living room with candles lit and all of the lights off, authorities said. She was also reportedly wearing a Christmas cat t-shirt and workout shorts.
The teacher confessed to sending the boy illicit “bra and panty” pictures and said he’d also sent her pictures of his genitals, KWTV reported.
“I’m no longer surprised by the people who commit these crimes, because predators come from all walks of life,” Canadian County Sheriff Chris West told the outlet.
“This is a classic case of a serious breach of public trust,” he said. “School teachers are entrusted to protect and educate our children, not to engage in an unlawful sexual relationship with them.”
According to a statement released on Twitter, administrators from the high school said “the safety and well-being of our students is our number one priority,” and there was no indication in Day’s record that she would make such a “very poor decision.”
The school said it was working with authorities in their investigation and couldn’t discuss details of the case, according to the post.
Day was incarcerated at the Canadian County Jail and bond was set for $85,000, KWTV reported.
Oklahoma Daughter Who Married Her Biological Mother After They ‘Hit It Off’ Is Sentenced
An Oklahoma woman who married her biological mother has received a 10-year, deferred sentence.
Misty Spann pleaded guilty to incest and will be on probation with two of those years under the supervision of the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, KTLA sister station KFOR in Oklahoma City reported Thursday.
In September 2016, Misty Spann and her mother Patricia were arrested for incest.
A joint investigation by police and the Department of Human Services confirmed the pair’s relationship to each other. The blood relatives married in Comanche County, after filing their license application in March 2016.
Investigators told KFOR that 43-year-old Patricia Spann lost custody of Misty, 26, and two other children when they were young. They were then adopted by their grandmother.
Patricia Spann insisted to investigators she didn’t have contact with her kids until a few years ago. However, court records show she also married her biological son in Comanche County back in 2008, but the partnership was annulled in 2010.
Another one of Spann’s sons told television station KSWO in Lawton, Oklahoma, that she tried to have an inappropriate relationship with him as well, but he denied her advances.
Spann also allegedly told investigators when she reunited with her daughter “they hit it off.”
Spann said she didn’t think she was breaking any laws by marrying Misty because her name is no longer listed on her daughter’s birth certificate, according to officials.
In Oklahoma, incest is a felony, and, if convicted, is punishable up to 10 years in prison. Court records show Misty and Patricia’s marriage was annulled Oct. 12, 2017.
Misty’s mother is scheduled to appear in court in January.
Inmates escape jail for a few hours to visit girlfriends, smoke weed then walked back to the jail
HUGO, Okla. — An Oklahoma sheriff says two inmates briefly escaped to visit their girlfriends and smoke marijuana and then walked back to the jail.
Choctaw County Sheriff Terry Park tells The Oklahoman that inmates Harley Davidson and Rakeem Lennox waited for jail staff to leave the area near their room about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. He says the men then entered the booking room to steal a laundry room door key and fled.
The sheriff says they returned to the county jail on foot after midnight and could face additional charges.
He says both men were in jail for drug possession.

Father accused of slamming 1 month old son against a changing table and threw him into a ceiling fan for crying
A 1-month-old baby in Oklahoma is in critical condition after police say the newborn’s father brutally beat him for crying.
Robert Jackson Jones Jr. was arrested and charged with child abuse after he allegedly told Muskogee police that he choked, slammed and tried to smother his son.
According to the Tulsa World, the baby’s mother Emma Whitehead told authorities that she and Jones took their child to the emergency room on Sunday when the baby started having seizures.
At the hospital, Whitefield was told horrifying details of her son’s condition.
Medical personnel determined that the infant, named Calvin, had two skull fractures, a pool of blood around his brain and fingerprint bruises on both sides of his neck.
The newborn also had a bruised left eye and a bruise on his left ear.
Muskogee Police Department investigator James Poffel wrote in an affidavit that the injuries were “considered to be non-accidental,” the outlet reports. Jones allegedly confessed to causing the baby’s injuries, telling police that he picked Calvin up by his throat and shook him, before covering the baby with cushions and towels because he wouldn’t stop crying.
Investigators said Jones then slammed the infant against a changing table, threw the baby in the air and hit him on the ceiling fan.
Police said the abuse didn’t end there. Jones also allegedly told investigators he put his son on his shoulders and then dropped the baby to the floor, causing Calvin to hit his head against the toilet.
Authorities alleged the abuse went on from Aug. 16 to Aug. 19, the Tulsa World reports.
Whitehead told KTOV that she usually gets a babysitter to watch Calvin while she works, but couldn’t get her usual sitter. She said Jones agreed to watch the baby.
“I never thought anything like this would ever happen,” Whitehead said.
Jones is being held at the Muskogee County Jail with a $1 million bail. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 5.
Toddler Found Wandering, Covered in Feces, Bruises, Scratches Leads Officers to ‘Horrifying’ Apartment in Oklahoma
A 3-year-old found wandering an Oklahoma neighborhood alone, covered in bruises, scratches, and feces led officers to a disturbing scene. The child has been taken into protective custody and the mother is now charged with child neglect.
It started with a report of the child seen wandering across a Sonic Drive-In to a convenience store in Norman, Oklahoma.
“A woman was sitting in the Sonic parking lot, she saw him cross by himself through the Sonic Drive-In and ended up in here, and that’s when she flagged me down,” an OUPD officer told Norman dispatch.
The child’s mother picked him up.
But later that day, it happened again. According to court documents, he was wearing no pants, underwear, or shoes, and his legs and shirt were covered in feces.
The same officer was flagged and told Norman officers it was time to confront the mother in the apartment complex next to the Sonic.
When police went to the door, they had to knock for several minutes before the mother, Kimberly Dye, answered.
Officers asked her if she was missing a 3-year-old, and she said, “No. He was just in here.”
Inside the apartment, the conditions were described as horrid.
“One of the most horrifying houses that they’ve walked into,” Norman Police Department PIO Sarah Jensen told KFOR
She said the smell alone was difficult to handle.
Inside, animal and human feces were found on the floor throughout the apartment, rotting food in the kitchen, and cockroaches and other insects all over.
“It was a difficult scene for our officers to walk into, so it was very hard for them that a child and another individual were actually living there,” Jensen said.
Kimberly Dye is charged with neglect and a warrant is out of her arrest.
The child was taken into protective custody and DHS is investigating what’s best for his welfare.
Okla. Woman Gets Life In Prison for Dressing as a Witch to Terrorize Her 7-Year-Old Granddaughter
An Oklahoma City woman who prosecutors say dressed like a witch while severely abusing her 7-year-old granddaughter was sentenced last week to life in prison, PEOPLE confirms.
It was two months ago that Geneva Robinson, 51, and her 33-year-old boyfriend and co-defendant, Joshua Granger, pleaded guilty to child abuse and neglect charges.
On Thursday, Robinson learned she’ll spend the rest of her life behind bars when she received three life sentences; Granger received a 30-year sentence for helping Robinson commit the abuse.
The defendants initially faced a combined 29 counts of felony child abuse and neglect.
Robinson assaulted her granddaughter for more than a year, prosecutors said, including burning the girl with cigarettes, smacking her in the face and beating her with a rolling pin.
She painted her skin green and dressed in black whenever assuming the persona of the abusive “Nelda the Witch,” according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE.
Robinson also removed the girl from the local school system and deprived her of food. Court records further confirm Robinson often forced her granddaughter to sleep outside with her dogs.
As she was sentenced, prosecutors also released cellphone video showing some of her abuse.
In the footage, which PEOPLE declined to publish, Robinson appears dressed as “Nelda” and grabs the girl by the throat before dragging her across the floor.
She tells the child she’s going to eat her, according to the video.
Detectives began investigating Robinson in 2014, after receiving a call from workers at Griffin Memorial Hospital in Norman, Oklahoma, where she had tried to have her granddaughter committed – saying she couldn’t control the girl.
The victim told investigators her grandmother regularly whipped her, beat her and pinched her skin with pliers, court documents state. She also said she went days without eating.
The girl told detectives her grandmother would wear a green mask and bring her into the garage, where she was restrained and forced to sleep on a pair of pants, according to the documents. Robinson also used a pink dog leash to tie her up and suspend her from the ceiling.
Inside Robinson’s home, police recovered the leash as well as a horse whip.
Court records indicate Robinson allegedly utilized her “Nelda” character on others, including the girl’s father when he was a child.
The victim, who is now 9, addressed Robinson in a letter that was read in court on Thursday, a court official confirms.
“I love you,” the girl wrote, the official says. “I forgive you. You’re the best grandmother I ever had.”
It was not immediately clear in whose custody the child is now.
Lawyers for both defendants were unavailable for comment Monday afternoon.
