Boruto Episode 1 Review

News & Info

Naruto Shippuden ended its 10 year run in Japan on March 23 of this year and with that end comes a new beginning. That new beginning is in the form of Naruto’s son Boruto Uzumaki and the new anime series Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.

As an introduction episode it does a really good job at introducing some of the kids from the Konoha 11. You can tell that Masashi Kishimoto is trying his hardest to make Boruto his own person and not a clone of his father.

The character Denki seems interesting as well as he will be attending the ninja academy not to be a ninja, but to study ninjutsu.

I would say that the first season or so will probably focus on their time in the academy as well as Boruto’s strained relationship with Naruto since he can’t be around as he’s now Hokage.

It’ll be interesting to see how their time in the academy will unfold even though we can take a guess on what the results will be as far as them become ninja.

I think this series is worth giving a chance and I’m looks forward to seeing the second episode. For those who want to check out the episode check it out on Crunchyroll.com or Viz.com which will start premiering episodes April 12th.

Boruto Anime To Premiere In April

News & Info

Well it seems like the Naruto franchise flame is still burning because a new series will be premiering in the near future. How ever instead of Naruto Uzumaki being the main focus, it will tell the tale of his son, Boruto Uzumaki.

Entitled Boruto: Naruto Next Generations the series will take place 15 years after the end of the Fourth Shinobi War telling the tales of Boruto and his teammates.

I find this interesting seeing is how Masashi Kishimoto the series creator, plans on making this series even better than Naruto. All i have to say is, with that statement this series will be pretty interesting. By that I mean this series can be really successful or it can be a complete disaster. For now only time will tell and hopefully Naruto Shippuden will be over before it premieres because it will be weird watching both series together.

Boruto Manga: Character Deaths? Bait Chapter

News & Info

For those who don’t know the official monthly spinoff of the Naruto manga entitled Boruto: Naruto the Next Generation came out today and yeah, it was extremely underwhelming.

The chapter starts off with a scene in the future and we see a teenaged Boruto  with a Kakashi like scar on his right eye which apparently has the byakugan. He’s standing on the destroyed Hokage monument under a destroyed Hidden Leaf Village and on the statue with him stands a teenager named Kawaki.

One thing that Kawaki says that stands out is that Boruto will be joining the 7th Hokage (Naruto) soon, implying that Naruto is in fact dead. Soon after they clash and after that what do we get? Not new info, not a fight but a manga version of Boruto: Naruto The Movie. Yeah a major rip off.

The only new info that we get are on the first 3 pages of this new chapter. But to be honest after rereading it, it all seems like a bait chapter. Think about it, Naruto dead? Unless Kishimoto actually had the balls to kill off his first main character Naruto is not dead. This is just to get buzz and fans talking and to make it worse, we have to wait a month to find out what happens next.

This is a very disappointing start to the new series. Instead of giving us new content you decide to rehash old content that people have already seen. Kishimoto and the others in charge of this manga need to do better.
