The Lion King Movie Review
After months of advertisements and trailers, the live action adaptation of the Lion King is finally here! What do I have to say about it? Well I got one enjoyed it, and here’s why!
Let me just start off by saying that no it’s obviously not better than the original, however the movie itself is still great. Seeing the opening in live action was absolutely breathtaking. Yes; all the scenery in the movie is gorgeous. Pride rock looked spot on, the lions looked amazing, they definitely went all out af far as visual effects.
Now let’s get onto the voice acting. The voice acting to me was mostly good, MOSTLY. There were some line to me that did fall a little flat. James Earl Jones as always is still great as Mufasa, Donald Glover killed it as Simba, Scar was great. and Beyoncé wasn’t too cringy as Nala. The stand outs were Timon and Pumba since they got mostly new dialogue.
All in all when not comparing it to the original it’s a really great film. I for one plan on seeing it again, Lion King was a big part of my childhood and I still consider it a big part of my life today. On a scale of 1-10 I give it an 8! If you haven’t seen Lion King; go see it this weekend!

Dark Phoenix Falls Flat
After almost 20 years and 12 movies the Fox X-Men franchise comes to a conclusion with Dark Phoenix…………and boy did it fall flat! As an X-Men fan I was highly disappointed in this movie. This was their second chance to take a shot at the Dark Phoenix Saga and they did WORSE than X-Men The Last Stand.
The plot felt way too rushed and crunched together, some of the CGI was off. The villains were boring and nothing but skrull knock-offs! I don’t know if they were suppose to be the Hellfire Club or a bootleg Shi’ar Empire but they failed to deliver anything interesting!
A lot of the characters did things that were very out of character. For example Professor X vainly seeking glory, Beast siding with Magneto. Mystique was just straight up bland and you could tell Jennifer Lawrence was just over it. Cyclops was back to being one dimensional, and basically didn’t do anything unless it involved Jean Grey, and Nightcrawler barely said anything till the end.
The few saving graces of this movie are as usual James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender. Sophie Turner was great as Jean Grey. Nicholas Hoult did good as Beast despite the questionable routevthey sent him Storm did an awesome display in the final battle with her powers.
Basically, this movie should’ve have been way better. I guess you can blame it on Disney buying out Fox a few months ago so they had to rush it. Let’s just be happy The the X-Men we finally with the MCU and we’ll see them again in probably 5 years.
Should you see Dark Phoenix and what rating do I give it, absolutely not and 2/10.
Avengers: Endgame Movie Review (No Spoilers)
After 11 years and 22 movies the Infinity Saga comes to and end with the release of Avengers: Endgame. This hands down in my opinion will go down ad one of the best comic book movies ever made.
Since I won’t be revealing any spoilers in this review, I will say that this movie gives a very satisfying conclusion and a good sense of closure for the first 3 phases of Marvel. This movie does a good balance with action comedy and very emotional moments.
This movie is now on the list of few movies that has ever brought me to tears. Yes I said it I cried near the end of this movie. I won’t say why but once you watch the movie you’ll know why. There are a few things that I wish they added in the movie that didn’t make it in but over all it’s still satisfy with or without it.
With this being a somewhat fine it makes me more excited to see what will happen in the future of the MCU and to see who will be the new roster of heroes we’ll get to see.
Overall I give Avengers: Endgame an absolute 10/10. Try to see it as soon as you can to avoid spoilers. If you have seen it before, go back and see it again and again!

Dragon Ball Super: Broly Review
Time and time again, Dragon Ball proves why it’s one of the greatest anime/manga of all time. It’s latest installment to the franchise, Dragon Ball Super: Broly proves just that.
This movie is definitely a rollercoaster from start to finish. Everything from the action to the emotional moments, this movie delivers. The change from Broly being an evil psychotic mass murderer to a more sympathetic lonely warrior was a well needed change.
It was also nice to get background information on the Saiyan race. While there are a few changes from the previously established lore of the series, it doesn’t bother me too much. Seeing how Planet Vegeta operates and how Frieza comes into power was a nice touch.
The main thing people love about this movie, as do I, is with no doubt the animation. This animation for this movie was nothing short of beautiful and deserves all the praise it gets. The art style is simple yet so fluid and it shows during the fight scenes in this movie.
This is probably hands down, my favorite Dragon Ball movie no question. If people think this series is burnt out and dead, they’re dead wrong. This series definitely has more to tell and I can wait to see what direction it’ll take.
As for my personal score of the movie, s definitely solid 9 out of 10 only because the transition scenes in the beginning are a little choppy for me. But other than that, awesome from start to finish. Dragon Ball Super, if you haven’t seen it, see it ASAP before it leaves theaters.
