There are people on this earth who come and share their gifts of singing and entertaining and leave us all to soon. This R&B duo Damian Dame was one of those memorable people who in my opinion would have really changed the game if given the chance.

Bruce Edward “Damian” Broadus and Debra Jean “Deah Dame” Hurd was one of the first acts to sign with Kenny Babyface Edmonds and  Terry LA Raid of  Laface Records. I remember seeing Damian Dame  Music Video Exclusively on BET Video Soul with Donnie Simpson . This song was a real club banger! The top track  exclusivity peaked #42 on the HOT 100 Billboard R&B Charts  As fast as they came Damon Dame was no more.

Hurd was killed in a car accident in Atlanta, Georgia on June 27, 1994. She was 35 years old. Broadus died of colon cancer on June 27, 1996, exactly two years after Hurd’s death and less than a week after his solo album was released. He was 29 years old. See you next TBT
