Pharmacist reportedly drugged woman on Tinder date
A Florida man who works as a hospital pharmacist was arrested Saturday and charged with sexual battery after he reportedly drugged his Tinder date.
According to a police affidavit, Robert Woods, 27, met the woman on the dating app Tinder and the pair agreed to meet at a bar in downtown Tampa, Fox 35 reported.
The woman reportedly had one beer at the restaurant before Woods suggested they leave and go to his apartment, where he claimed his friends were having a party.
When they arrived, there was reportedly no party. But the pair stayed at the apartment and started to play a drinking game, which led to the victim taking a shot of what she allegedly thought was Absinth liquor.
The woman told police that she later went out to the balcony to have a cigarette before waking up in Woods’ bed the following morning, Fox 35 reported.
Woods reportedly told the woman that they had had sex and when she said she couldn’t remember it, he told her “that’s okay.” The pair reportedly then had sex a second time but the affidavit said the victim was still not sober from whatever she had drank the night before.
The woman went to the hospital the following morning, Fox 35 reported.
She said she’d found two spots on the left side of her neck where it looked like she’d been injected with something, the Tampa Bay Times reported. She also allegedly found scrapes and bruises on her body that had not previously been there.
She reportedly messaged Woods later asking him what he had given her, to which he replied, “Are you alive?” She responded saying, “barely alive.”
After that, Woods reportedly didn’t answer and allegedly deleted the woman from his Tinder account.
Woods is being held at the Hillsborough County Jail on a $250,000 bail, the Tampa Bay Times reported.

Principal fired for trying to smuggle heroin into prison
A once-respected Brooklyn principal has lost a bid to keep her job after admitting she tried to smuggle heroin and other drugs into an upstate prison, The Post has learned.
Sadie Silver, a rising star at PS 28 in Bedford-Stuyvesant, was busted in July 2014 — but continued to collect her city salary, which was $138,000 last year, until March this year.
Silver and a boyfriend were arrested on charges of drug possession, bringing contraband into a prison, and endangering the welfare of a child. Silver brought her daughter to Coxsackie Correctional Facility.
She and her boyfriend were caught with bags of heroin and suboxone, authorities said. They allegedly tried to sneak the drugs to Silver’s son, who was doing time on weapons charges.
Two years later, in July 2016, she pleaded guilty to introducing contraband into a prison, a misdemeanor, and was sentenced to three years’ probation.
Defended in a three-day hearing as a “brilliant educator” by the city principals’ union, Silver said she acted because her incarcerated son needed money to pay off a debt.
Silver begged for “a second chance,” but hearing officer Joel Douglas terminated her on Feb. 28.

“I failed my drug test because of my weave” : de Blasio detail cop
An NYPD sergeant who once worked in First Lady Chirlane McCray’s personal security detail has coiffed-up quite an excuse after testing positive for marijuana — she’s claiming the department mistakenly tested a strand from her human-hair weave. The hair-brained claim is the latest bid by Sgt. Tracy Gittens to keep her job after a random drug test came up positive for pot and she was pulled from overseeing security at Gracie Mansion, sources tell The Post.
The 13-year department veteran — who has been on paid desk duty in Queens since this winter and is awaiting a departmental trial — insists that when she was tested, technicians unknowingly collected strands of human hair from her weave.
They snipped from the back of her head, where she couldn’t see, sources said she is claiming — and had they tested her actual hair, it would have been clean of drugs.
“She doesn’t smoke marijuana and she’s unaware how it may have gotten into her system,” one police source told The Post. “That’s why she’s thinking it may have been the weave.”
Other colleagues say it’s tuft to believe.
“Oh stop; it doesn’t even pass the laugh test,” scoffed one police source. “That’s one of the lamest excuses I’ve ever heard. What people will do to save their jobs is pathetic.”
Another cop said the sergeant should have said she was wearing a weave at the test site, if she was concerned.
“She should have said upfront that is not my real hair so they could take the hair from somewhere else. I’ve heard every excuse, but those tests are 100 percent accurate and I tend not to believe her story.”
Gittens did not respond to requests to interview; her lawyer, John D’Alessandro, also declined to comment.
She’s not the first cop to attempt a crazy-sounding dodge after testing positive for pot. In 2006, an anti-terror detective, Anthony Chiofalo, claimed his wife had laced his meatballs with marijuana without telling him in hopes that a positive drug test would force him into retirement.
The “spacey meatball” defense failed utterly. Chiofalo was fired; two years later, he lost a Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit that claimed the firing was “arbitrary, capricious, unreasonable and unconstitutional.”

Teen died after five bags of ecstasy exploded in her stomach
A teenage law student from Britain died while on holiday in Ibiza after five bags of ecstasy exploded in her stomach, an inquest heard.
Rebecca Brock, 18, was discovered with a pool of blood next to her head in a hotel room after traveling to the party island for a friend’s birthday.
Nottingham Coroners’ Court heard staff found the “academically gifted” student unresponsive in her room at the Hotel Marco Polo on Sept. 28, 2015.
Spanish police began an investigation after the amount of the class-A drug in her system was “double the level” of a normal fatal dose.
Giving evidence, Brock’s mother, Margarita Brock, said: “Spanish authorities say five bags were found which were wrapped with elastic bands. They said it would probably have been four hours before something happened.”
Brock revealed how her daughter had openly talked about experimenting with cocaine in the past but did not think she would’ve taken so much ecstasy at one time. “She tried cocaine with people she knew and people around her she knew.”
“She said to her sister afterwards that she didn’t like it so she didn’t have to worry. She was very clear about what she let into her body and what she didn’t.”
Brock added that her daughter had a difficult time swallowing pills and couldn’t imagine how she would have ingested the bags.
“Becky would tell me difficult things — she was quite open about the drugs, it was the weight issues she was less keen to talk about.”
“She wouldn’t take any pills easily — I can’t imagine that getting in her body at all. If she didn’t have to take a pill, she wouldn’t do because she couldn’t swallow it.”
“I can’t see any other way than someone making that happen.”
Nottinghamshire Coroner Mairin Casey recorded a conclusion that Brock’s death was drug-related.
Casey said: “Becky’s parents, Margarita and Martin, dearly cared for her. She was academically gifted and was clearly cherished by her friends and family. She was well-travelled with her family and had impressive results in her A-levels.”
“Rebecca was also very body-conscious and at one point was very thin. This was something her family were mindful of and they trusted that it was something in her own way she was addressing. She moved away from home when she went to study in the Netherlands.”
“She went on holiday to Ibiza in September 2015, where she visited twice in the summer. We remain, sadly, without some information that is particularly significant to the family and indeed for me.”
“On Sept. 22, Becky flew to Ibiza from the Netherlands — it was something she had organized herself. She was captured on CCTV imaging and it is clear she had checked into her hotel. On her arrival, Becky had various communications.”
“(Becky and her friends) planned to meet on the night of Sept. 22 and they went to a club — with many of them socializing together. She didn’t have any contact with anyone after Sept. 23.”
“On the morning of Sept. 28, she was tragically found deceased in the hotel room. Spanish authorities gave the cause of death as an adverse reaction to drugs and a ruptured body pack. The date of death was recorded as Sept. 26.”
“The evidence given (by the experts) was extensive and today I rely on their reports to make the following findings.”
“Becky died of MDMA intoxication commonly known as ecstasy. I find that no other substance was found in her body that could have contributed to her death. I find that she had not taken alcohol other than in a moderate amount.”
“There was no evidence of a form of assault. No witnesses to the investigation had seen her take drugs in Ibiza. I find it impossible to say how a pack or packs were ingested. How these bags were in her stomach we will never know.”
“It is likely that Becky became unwell and confused and most probably died a short time thereafter. It is not possible to say whether she would have been conscious or not. The conclusion I arrive at is this is a drug related death.”
Addressing the family, she added: “I would also like to mention your tremendous dignity here today. I cannot imagine what that loss must have felt like.”
“I have done the best I can to give you some answers and I offer you my sincerest condolences.”
After the inquest, Brock said outside court: “The coroner probably said it all. I don’t want to add much more than that.”
“There are some answers but there are also some clear gaps.”

Teacher smoked weed, drank with student to set mood before sex
A tatted-up teacher in Florida slept with one of her students nearly a half-dozen times — boozing up and smoking pot with him to set the mood, cops said.
Valerie Michelle Valvo, 34, was arrested Wednesday in Hernando County and charged with unlawful sexual activity with a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor after she admitted to having sex with the 17-year-old inside her home, according to police.
The Central High School art teacher confessed to doing the deed at least five times, authorities said.
Both she and the teen, who was not identified, claimed that the romps were consensual.
The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office told WFLA they began investigating Valvo after receiving a tip about a high school teacher sleeping with a male student.
When deputies interviewed the boy, he admitted to having sex with her at her home in Spring Hill on at least three occasions, WFLA reports.
Valvo later agreed to talk to police — saying they actually had intercourse at least five or six times.
“He’s not old enough to consent to a relationship like that,” said Denise Moloney, of the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office.
Both Valvo and the teen confessed to smoking marijuana together and drinking alcohol while inside her home, cops said.
According to a spokesperson for the local school system, the art teacher has been employed for the past three years. She has since been suspended — with pay — pending the outcome of the investigation.
Valvo’s mugshot, which was posted to Facebook by police, shows her sporting a colorful chest tattoo, as well as some ink on her left arm.
“The sad part is that this Woman [sic] is well liked by many students,” wrote one user.
“I have to wonder what goes through the mind of an individual like this,” another said. “There have been so many cases such as this all over the country. Each time the teacher is caught and loses their job, their family, their dignity, and their freedom. Why does each one that comes after the countless before them makes them think they will end up any different?”
Valvo is one of several educators to be busted in the past few months for sleeping with their students.
Most recently, a high school teacher was caught engaging in “sexual contact” with a 17-year-old male student in Texas. Her mugshot wound up going viral after she chose to smile from ear-to-ear for the photo.
