Dragon Ball Super News: Universal Survival Arc To Premiere In February

News & Info

The Dragon Ball Universe will once again be expanding its lore in an upcoming arc entitled the Universal Survival Arc. Set to start serialization in February, this new story arc will feature and tournament from all 12 universes, all of whom will have 10 fighters each.

Coming from Universe 7, which is where the Dragon Ball story mainly takes place, this 10 man team consists of Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Majin Buu, Piccolo, Android 17, Android 18, Krillin, Tien, and Master Roshi. Along with this will be their representatives  the God of Destruction, Beerus and the Supreme Kai.

However with this new excitement comes at an extreme price. The losers will have the Universe completely wiped out by the Omni-King Zeno. This story will also give us a chance to take a glimpse into other universes and see their different species as well as their Gods of Destruction and Supreme Kai. It seems like our hero Goku will finally get his wish to battle powerful opponents, but at what price?

Funimation in negotiations for dubbing Dragon Ball Super

News & Info

Funimation has hinted at being in negotiations with Toei Animation about bringing Dragon Ball Super to the U.S. . Funimation producer and voice actor Justin Cook said in an interview that he has seen the first few episodes of the new series and and is very excited about it.

He said that there have been “a lot of pleases” while on the phone with Toei Animation about getting the rights to dub the series. Though he says that they’ll get the rights to dub it no problem seeing as how they’ve been doing it for 15 years. Though it will be a while seeing is how Dragon Ball Super just started on July 5th

This is great news seeing is how I’m a big Dragon Ball fan myself. Funimation will get the rights no problem. I can’t wait to hear it in english
