Trump Re-Election Campaign Emails Photo of Florida Shooting Survivor, Asks for Money
President Donald Trump’s re-election campaign used a photo of a survivor of the Parkland, Florida, shooting in an email Saturday that asks its recipients to donate money to the campaign.
The email contains a photo of 17-year-old Madeleine Wilford in a hospital bed surrounded by her family, Trump and the first lady. The President visited Wilford on February 16, two days after the attack at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, which left 17 dead.
“The nation has turned its attention to the senseless school shooting in Parkland, Florida,” the email reads.
“Trump is taking steps toward banning gun bump stocks and strengthening background checks for gun purchasers,” it says. “The President has made his intent very clear: ‘making our schools and our children safer will be our top priority.’”
Near the end of the message, there’s a link to the campaign’s donations page.
The campaign did not immediately return CNN’s request for comment.
Trump previously used the photo in an Instagram post uploaded on the same day as the hospital visit.
‘I just don’t like Muslim people’: Trump appointee resigns
‘I just don’t like Muslim people’: Trump appointee resigns after racist, sexist and anti-gay remarks
President Trump’s presidency surprised many, and one of the main concerns citizens had, beside the fact that he has had little political experience, is that Trump would bring his seemingly racist views into office- as well as invite others who share a similar outlook.
President Trump’s appointee has resigned from the federal agency that runs AmeriCorps and other service programs following his assertions he made disparaging Blacks, Muslims, gays, women, veterans with PTSD and undocumented immigrants surfaced in the news media.
Carl Higbie totaled six months as the chief of external affairs in the Corporation for National and Community Service.
Higbie’s Thursday afternoon resignation, which was prompted after CNN unearthed the comments he made, comes amid increased scrutiny of the president’s appointees for racist or anti-Muslim statements made in the past.
In November, the Department of Homeland Security’s Jamie Johnson, another Trump appointee, resigned after commentshe made that linked blacks to “laziness” and “promiscuity” came to light. Last week, Pete Hoekstra, the new U.S. ambassador to the Netherlands and a former Republican congressman, apologized after uproar over baseless anti-Muslim theories he had spread numerous times in past.
According to the reporting and audio clips published by CNN on Thursday, Higbie had a lengthy track record of making strongly racist and anti-Muslim statements before his appointment.
In 2013, he spoke about giving away free firewood while working in Virginia Beach on “Sound of Freedom,” an Internet talk radio show that he hosted, according to CNN. Higbie said that black women think “breeding is a form of government employment,” that blacks were “lax of morality,” and that culture “is breeding this welfare and the high percentage of people on welfare in the black race.”
On another talk show in 2013, he expressed dislike for the term “African Americans.”
“The whole African American thing gets me whipped up because it’s like 99 percent — and I’m paraphrasing here — of people who write down African American have never been to Africa,” he said.
He also spoke disparagingly of Islam, saying that he didn’t like Muslims “because their ideology sucks,” and that he was fine if his views caused him to be labeled a racist.
“I just don’t like Muslim people. People always rip me a new one for that. ‘Carl, you’re racist, you can’t, you’re sexist.’ I’m like Jesus Christ,” Higbie said on “Sound of Freedom” in 2013.
On another podcast, Warrior Talk Radio, in 2014, according to CNN, he struck a similar chord.
“I was called an Islamophobe, and I was like, ‘no, no, no, no, no, I’m not afraid of them. I don’t like them. Big difference,’ ” he said on the show. “And they were like, ‘Well, you’re racist.’ I was like, fine if that’s the definition of it, then I guess I am.’”
This is not the first round of controversy for Higbie, who worked as the spokesman for pro-Trump super PAC Great America before the 2016 election. During an appearance on Fox News shortly after the election, he cited Japanese internment camps during World War II as a “precedent” for some of the president’s potential immigration plans, and the remarks drew wide condemnation.
Nonetheless, he was appointed to the position at the CNCS, which runs AmeriCorps and other volunteering initiatives, and has programs dedicated to rebuilding after natural disasters and supporting veterans and their families, including helping them transition once they return home.
In other audio unearthed by CNN, Higbie, a former Navy SEAL, derided military veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder as having “a weak mind” and said he thought a large majority of people with PTSD were being dishonest.
“I’d say 75 percent of people with PTSD don’t actually have it, and they’re either milking something for a little extra money in disability or they’re just, they honestly are just lying,” he said on another talk radio show in 2014.
Samantha Jo Warfield, a CNCS spokeswoman, declined to comment on the circumstances of Higbie’s resignation.
[‘Here is what my #shithole looks like’: African countries and Haiti react to Trump’s remark]
Of undocumented immigrants, Higbie, on another episode of “Sound of Freedom” in 2013, said that Americans with guns should be able to shoot undocumented immigrants who attempted to cross into the United States at the border.
“What’s so wrong with wanting to put up a fence and saying, ‘Hey, everybody with a gun, if you want to go shoot people coming across our border illegally, you can do it fo’ free,’ ” Higbie said. “You cross my border, I will shoot you in the face. I will go down there. I’ll volunteer to go down there and stand on that border for, I don’t know, a week or so at a time, and that’ll be my civil duty.”
He also spoke harshly about Sen. Dianne Feinstein on “Sound of Freedom,” calling the California Democrat a “bitch” and saying he’d love to smack her and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s heads together.
“Nothing gets me going like Ted Cruz, when he went off on that Feinstein bitch about the Second Amendment. And he put her in her place; that was just fantastic. I can’t stand that woman,” Higbie said. “Her and Pelosi. I’d love to just take both their heads and smack them together a couple of times.”
During another appearance on “Sound of Freedom,” he spoke about the legalization of gay marriage in Rhode Island.
“Congratuf’in’lations, you suck, Rhode Island. Why would you do that?” he said. “I mean, you are breaking the morals, the moral fiber of our country. You know, I don’t like gay people. I just don’t.”
The White House did not respond to a request for comment.
Lawyer paid $130k to silence adult-film star over sexual encounter with Trump
A lawyer for President Trump reportedly arranged a six-figure payment to a former adult-film star to keep her from discussing a sexual encounter with Trump, according to a new report Friday.
The Wall Street Journal reported that Michael Cohen, an attorney for the Trump Organization at the time and now Trump’s personal lawyer, arranged for Stephanie Clifford, known in the industry as Stormy Daniels, to receive $130,000 as part of a nondisclosure agreement one month before the 2016 presidential election.
Clifford has privately told sources interviewed by the Journal that she and Trump had a consensual sexual encounter in 2006, the year after he and Melania Trump were married. Clifford was 27 years old at the time of the alleged encounter in Lake Tahoe.
A White House official declined to comment to the Journal about the payment, but said that the allegations of the interaction between Trump and Clifford were “old, recycled reports, which were published and strongly denied prior to the election.”
Cohen told the Journal in a statement that Trump “once again vehemently denies” the encounter, but did not comment on the alleged $130,00 payment.
“This is now the second time that you are raising outlandish allegations against my client,” Cohen said in the statement. “You have attempted to perpetuate this false narrative for over a year; a narrative that has been consistently denied by all parties since at least 2011.”
Cohen’s reference to previous allegations may include the Journal’s reportin the days before the election that Clifford intended to appear on “Good Morning America” to discuss the alleged affair. She reportedly chose not to appear on the show at that time without explanation.
Cohen sent the paper a statement signed by “Stormy Daniels” denying the sexual encounter with Trump and saying that hush money rumors are “completely false.”
Clifford did not comment directly to the Journal, and Clifford’s lawyer declined to comment on the matter.
Clifford reportedly received the payment through her lawyer’s client-trust account. A spokeswoman for the bank where the account is held declined to comment.
The payment was allegedly made around the time that the “Access Hollywood” tape surfaced, in which Trump made a comment about grabbing women “by the p—-.”
Sexual harassment and assault allegations against Trump from more than a dozen women surfaced during the campaign, and again during the rise of the “Me Too” movement. Trump has repeatedly denied the allegations, and the official White House position is that the women are lying.

Omarosa fired, ‘physically dragged’ from the White House
Former “Apprentice” star Omarosa Manigault Newman had to be dragged kicking and screaming from the White House Tuesday night after she refused to believe Donald Trump had fired her, according to reports.
The official version from the Trump administration was that the reality TV star turned political aide resigned “to pursue other opportunities.”
But numerous reports from inside the ever-leaky 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. had the now-ex director of communications for the Public Liaison office going out in a hail of profanities as Chief of Staff John Kelly told her to pack her things.
She then tried to storm into the president’s residence to appeal the decision to the commander-in-chief, according to a report.
“Gen Kelly Kicked her out [with] high drama with [Omarosa] offering vulgarities and curse words as she was escorted out of the building and off campus,” April Ryan, White House bureau chief for American Urban Radio Networks, tweeted Wednesday.
Ryan, who is also a CNN contributor, said in her radio report that Manigault Newman, 43, “was very upset and said that she wanted to speak to the president.
“Gen. Kelly said that the president was already informed and signed off,” she said, citing sources. “Gen. Kelly is also alleged to have said that this is not like going to the principal’s office.”
During the altercation, Manigault Newman told Kelly that she had brought the black vote to Trump, Ryan said, but he snapped: “No, that is not the case!”
After unleashing a stream of vulgarities, the spurned aide tried to walk over to Trump’s residence — but was stopped and physically removed her from the premises, Ryan added.
A White House official said she was “physically dragged” out, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Ryan — who was friends with Manigault Newman until their relationship soured earlier this year — said Secret Service agents were the ones acting as bouncers.
The agency later denied in a tweet that it was the muscle — but seemed to confirm she had to be “escorted” out, and noted that it had “deactivated” her security pass.
“The Secret Service was not involved in the termination process of Ms Manigault Newman or the escoprt off the complex,” the agency tweeted.
Marines also provide security in the White House.
Manigault Newman’s colleagues have often questioned her role in the White House — where she could be seen at presidential photo ops, strolling the corridors and occasionally in the briefing room.
She reportedly enjoyed unfettered access to Trump before Kelly took charge of the office — and was particularly effective at pushing his buttons with inflammatory news that often sparked some of his harshest tweets.
She’s widely believed to have been behind the president’s controversial tweet that “Morning Joe” host Mika Brzezinski “was bleeding badly from a face-lift.”
When Kelly took over, he banned her from important meetings — which she’d previously waltzed into uninvited, the New York Times reported at the time.
Her departure also comes a month after an embarrassing report revealed that she brought her 39-person bridal party to the White House for a wedding photo shoot in April, blindsiding staff and security.
“The visitors loudly wandered around, looking to snap photos in the Rose Garden and throughout the West Wing,” Politico reported.
Two sources close to Trump said Manigault Newman’s departure has been a long time coming, CNN reported.
She had traveled with him to the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum in Jackson on Saturday, but a White House official told CNN that she has had no direct access to the president for months.
In August, Manigault Newman got into a shouting match at the National Association of Black Journalists conference in New Orleans, when she sidestepped questions about her role in the White House.
She recently said that she was ready for the next move — and wanted to spend time with her husband, travel to Europe and go back to being a minister.
Manigault Newman, a former Democrat, has known Trump since the first season of “The Apprentice” in 2004, when she emerged as the villainous breakout star.
“People have long been unsure what she did at the White House,” a former White House official told CNN. “Many of her colleagues are elated by today’s news.”

Huge cuts to food stamps part of Trump’s budget proposal
I don’t feel sorry for any of these Trump followers. The very ones that need this service or will need it are the very ones this will effect. Talk about cut your racist nose to spite your face.
President Donald Trump’s budget would drive millions of people off of food stamps, part of a new wave of spending cut proposals that already are getting panned by lawmakers in both parties on Capitol Hill.
Trump’s blueprint for the 2018 budget year comes out Tuesday. It includes a wave of cuts to benefit programs such as Medicaid, federal employee pensions, welfare benefits and farm subsidies.
All told, according to people familiar with the plan, Trump’s budget includes $1.7 trillion over 10 years in cuts from such so-called mandatory programs. That includes cuts to pensions for federal workers and higher contributions toward those pension benefits, as well as cuts to refundable tax credits paid to the working poor. People familiar with the plan were not authorized to discuss it by name and requested anonymity.
Cuts include a whopping $193 billion from food stamps over the coming decade — a cut of more than 25 percent — implemented…

Jail staffers could face charges in dehydration death of inmate
Seven staffers from a Milwaukee County jail run by outspoken sheriff David Clarke could face criminal charges in the dehydration death of an inmate who was left without water for seven days.
A jury on Monday determined that they had found probable cause for “abuse of a resident of a penal facility” in the death of the 38-year-old inmate and recommended criminal charges.
Clarke, who is one of President Trump’s most vocal supporters, regularly appears on cable news where he advocates for strict law enforcement policies.
The jury’s recommendation came after a six-day inquest that included testimony from jail staff and evidence from county prosecutors.
The inmate, Terrill Thomas, suffered from bipolar disorder and was denied water as a form of punishment. He died in his cell last year.
The Milwaukee-Journal Sentinel reported that an inmate in the cell across from Thomas pleaded with guards to turn the water back on.
“I could tell he was getting weaker,” Marcus Berry told the paper. “One day he just lay down, dehydrated and hungry.”
On Monday, the six-person jury returned its recommendation just a few hours after morning testimony that the sheriff’s office continued using water deprivation as a form of punishment even after Thomas’ death.
“This isn’t the first time this happened. This is a pattern,” Assistant District Attorney Kurt Bentley said.
Sheriff Clarke was not targeted and has declined to comment on Thomas’ death but has alluded to the man’s criminal record in the past.
“Is this the guy who was in custody for shooting up the Potawatomi Casino causing one man to be hit by gunfire while in possession of a firearm by a career convicted felon?” Clarke said in a statement last month.
“The media never reports that in stories about him. If that is him, then at least I know who you are talking about.”
Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm said he had no timeline to decide, and that he could charge more people — or fewer.

Elton John said it like this…
“I don’t really want my music to be involved in anything to do with an American election campaign,” John told the Guardian in February. “I’m British. I’ve met Donald Trump, he was very nice to me, it’s nothing personal, his political views are his own, mine are very different, I’m not a Republican in a million years. Why not ask Ted fucking Nugent? Or one of those fucking country stars? They’ll do it for you.”

#NOTMYPRESIDEANT DAY 1
After election night I woke up this morning with doubt and fear as to what’s to come.
For those of you who voted for Trump I DO NOT RESPECT your vote. Let me ask you something do you really understand what you have done for yourself and your loved ones? Voting for Trump has set us back 60 years. For months I’ve been watching and commenting and reading about this election and the trump rallies just as you have I’ve been trying to put my finger on why the sudden up rising of all these homophobic, Islamophobic, build a wall, send Mexicans back to Mexico, send the Niggers back to Africa, Obama is a Muslim and is not American born, We saw many Trump rallies where he incited violence and never tried to stop the vile language against women; women of color. Trump was able to open a deep seeded hatred, anger and resentment of the people who make America even more greater then it already is.
Trump supporters wanna see America separate but unequal they want us niggers to go sit quietly in the back of the bus, they (the white men) want the women to stay at home cook, clean, take care of they kids, they wanna fuck when they wanna fuck and if you get pregnant then oh well!Women DON’T even think about getting an legal abortion you may have to go underground where a doctor or not will be willing to abort your baby while he/she might even kill you in the process. Trump supporters want our LGBTQ people to keep who they are to themselves, you the Trump don’t want our gay, lesbian, trans woman and men to be able to come out to their friends and families you want to dictate how they should or should not live their lives.
You thug ass racists want to go around freely and call every minority you see any racial slur you can think of. You trump supporters want to yell out homophobic slurs you can think of. You racist love to enunciate the ER in Nigg[ER] this is gonna once again become the norm. To my Black coonbreads who voted for trump you gonna be pickin’ cotton right along with the rest of black folks!
Well we can say goodbye to affirmative action, Obamacare, Medicare; Medicaid, Quest/EBT Cards hell we might go into our second depression in history. I will say this AMERICA IS ALREADY GREAT BECAUSE PEOPLE OF COLOR AND OUR IMMIGRANTS HAVE MADE IT SO! DONALD TRUMP IS NOT MY PRESIDENT! I smell a riot come Inauguration Day.
I have to remember this doesn’t effect you even though you’re living, working and thriving on STOLEN LAND!
