Mom walked around son’s university trying to get him a date
Well, at least you get to have already met his mother.
Police at a university in Maryland responded to reports of a woman in her 50s who approached students with a picture of her son and asked if they might be interested in a date.
It is unclear how many students at Towson University — located in Townson, Md. — were approached by the mom, but it was enough for the school’s police department to put out an alert to identify the woman, the Baltimore Sun reported. She is not facing any criminal charges, but she is going to be asked to stop.
The school said it is attempting to alert students about the woman, since her presence affects their “safety and security.”
The Towson University Police sent an email to the student body saying: “The Towson University Police Department is investigating three related incidents occurring in the Cook Library and Center for the Arts buildings on February 6 and 7, 2019. Students have reported being approached by an older female who attempted to show them a picture on her cell phone and ask if [they] were interested in dating her son. The subject of interest is described as a female, appearing to be in her 50s, with glasses, wearing blue jeans and a striped long sleeve shirt with red trim along the bottom, a multi colored scarf, brown shoes and carrying a dark colored coat.”

Pharmacist reportedly drugged woman on Tinder date
A Florida man who works as a hospital pharmacist was arrested Saturday and charged with sexual battery after he reportedly drugged his Tinder date.
According to a police affidavit, Robert Woods, 27, met the woman on the dating app Tinder and the pair agreed to meet at a bar in downtown Tampa, Fox 35 reported.
The woman reportedly had one beer at the restaurant before Woods suggested they leave and go to his apartment, where he claimed his friends were having a party.
When they arrived, there was reportedly no party. But the pair stayed at the apartment and started to play a drinking game, which led to the victim taking a shot of what she allegedly thought was Absinth liquor.
The woman told police that she later went out to the balcony to have a cigarette before waking up in Woods’ bed the following morning, Fox 35 reported.
Woods reportedly told the woman that they had had sex and when she said she couldn’t remember it, he told her “that’s okay.” The pair reportedly then had sex a second time but the affidavit said the victim was still not sober from whatever she had drank the night before.
The woman went to the hospital the following morning, Fox 35 reported.
She said she’d found two spots on the left side of her neck where it looked like she’d been injected with something, the Tampa Bay Times reported. She also allegedly found scrapes and bruises on her body that had not previously been there.
She reportedly messaged Woods later asking him what he had given her, to which he replied, “Are you alive?” She responded saying, “barely alive.”
After that, Woods reportedly didn’t answer and allegedly deleted the woman from his Tinder account.
Woods is being held at the Hillsborough County Jail on a $250,000 bail, the Tampa Bay Times reported.

Ohio State student posts offensive video saying dating black women is ‘weird’
An Ohio State student is backpedaling on offensive comments she made about black women in a video many people are labeling as racist.
Miami University freshman Aleigha Mason shared a 10-second clip of Katelyn Rust ranting about how “weird” it was that her ex-boyfriend was hooking up with a black woman.
Rust, a white woman, was apparently angry that her ex was caught dancing with Mason, a black woman.
“First and foremost racism is wrong,” Rust said in a statement to The Lantern. “I, in no way, think that anyone is less of a person than anyone else because of their skin color, nationality, religion, sexual preference or otherwise and sincerely apologize for all the words in this Twitter video.” Rust went on to say that her “weird” comment had nothing to do with the color of Mason’s skin.
“I was quite simply very hurt, and angry with an ex-boyfriend and jealous of her. Nothing more,” she said. “Again, I say in the strongest possible terms that racism is despicable and I apologize for any hurt or pain this tweet caused this young woman or anyone else.”
In the video Rust is seen looking into the camera and saying, “F— yourself you’re hooking up with a black girl, that’s weird. That’s weird as f—. F— you.”
In the caption, Mason wrote that it was “crazy” racism still existed at Ohio State. “Can’t believe the color of my skin is ‘weird,'” she tweeted.
In a follow-up post, Mason said she was taking the video down.
“Not because I feel bad or because I’m afraid, because at the end of the day she is a human too even though she thinks I am less than that,” she posted. “Never let anyone judge you because of your race, Never.”
“We shouldn’t act as if my tweet never existed, this happens everywhere and there is NO excuse. Let this be a lesson to all,” Mason added.
The Pi Beta Phi women’s fraternity, which Rust is a member of, also released a statement saying the content in the video does not align with its values.
“Pi Phi is taking this very seriously, and we are currently working through our member accountability process,” a tweet read.
