Drunk dad passes out on lawn while tot drowns blocks away
A Pennsylvania dad faces charges after his toddler son drowned while the man was allegedly passed out drunk on his lawn.
David Gammon, 35, was charged Tuesday with involuntary manslaughter and child endangerment in the death of 2-year-old Anakin Gammon, news station WFMJ reported.
Gammon told police that he had been “sipping” on a Four Loko when he took the tot and his 5-year-old brother outside in September.
A neighbor found Gammon asleep on the lawn after another one of his children came over saying that he couldn’t wake his dad or find the siblings.
he neighbor told police that Gammon reeked of alcohol and had difficulty understanding that his sons had disappeared, news station WKBN reported.
The two boys were reported missing and police found the 5-year-old, who has special needs, a few blocks from Gammon’s home.
But Anakin was discovered unresponsive in a backyard swimming pool about nine blocks away in Masury, Ohio.
Emergency responders attempted to revive the 2-year-old, but he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The boy’s death was ruled a drowning.
Authorities filed charges against Gammon after investigating the death.
“There is probable cause that David Gammon was reckless in consuming enough alcohol, while caring for his children, that he lost consciousness allowing them to wander from the property” police said in the complaint.

Roommate from hell’s sick sabotage involved bloody tampons, licked utensils, smearing bodily fluids on backpack
A onetime student at the University of Hartford admitted licking her roommate’s dining utensils and secretly smearing bodily fluids on her backpack — a “deeply disturbing” case of alleged bullying that exploded on social media, prompted two messages from the Connecticut school’s president and police requesting that hate crime charges be filed on Wednesday.
Freshman Chennel Rowe posted a 103-minute Facebook Live video Monday about her roommate nightmare. Rowe said she had felt “unwanted in [her] own room” since being randomly assigned to bunk with Brianna Rae Brochu in late August. After moving in, Rowe said, she started getting sick, including throat pain that ultimately led her to see a doctor.
Rowe said she had requested a room change and had begun moving her belongings to another location on Oct. 17, when she was approached by one of her student neighbors who spotted “very concerning posts” on Brochu’s Instagram account, according to police reports obtained by the Hartford Courant.
One of the posts — which has since been deleted but was captured via screenshot by Rowe — appeared to confirm Rowe’s suspicions: Brochu had been covertly harassing her and tampering with her personal items for more than a month.
“Finally did it ya girl got rid of her roommate!” Rowe said, recalling Brochu’s post. “After 1½ months of spitting in her coconut oil, putting moldy clam dip in her lotions, rubbing used tampons [on] her backpack, putting her toothbrush where the sun doesn’t shine and so much more I can finally say goodbye to Jamaican Barbie.”
Brochu, who was arrested Saturday on charges of third-degree criminal mischief and second-degree breach of peace, has admitted licking Rowe’s plate, fork and spoon, as well as smearing her own bodily fluid on Rowe’s backpack, but denied the other actions she referenced on Instagram. She told West Hartford police that those statements were lies and a way to “appear funny” online.
Brochu, of Harwinton, claimed she had been reacting to a “hostile environment” created by Rowe, who allegedly posted Snapchat videos of Brochu snoring. Brochu also requested a room change last month but was unsuccessful, according to the Courant.
Rowe’s video prompted a nationwide response on social media, with many users posting in support of Rowe and calling for #JusticeforJazzy. (Rowe’s Facebook account identifies her as Jazzy Rowe, but a University of Hartford email directory lists her as Chennel Rowe.)
“I can’t believe someone would do this,” one Twitter post read. “Such a despicable human being. Sorry you had to go through that girl.”
Others on social media characterized the allegations as “absolutely disgusting and atrocious,” while some said Brochu could’ve killed Rowe by contaminating her lotion with mold.
The incident and its subsequent explosion on social media also prompted the university’s president to address students Wednesday, saying that the “deeply upsetting” incident doesn’t reflect the values of the school. President Greg Woodward also addressed the “accusations of racism” raised by Rowe and others in connection with the incident.
“Acts of racism, bias, bullying, or other abusive behaviors will not be tolerated on this campus,” Woodward said in a statement. “I pledge to do everything in my power to work with our community to address related concerns together.”
Woodward has also met with Rowe and has been in talks with her family.
“We will continue to offer support and assistance to her, as well as any other student that feels threatened, victimized, or uncomfortable on our campus,” his statement continued. “Let me repeat: racism and hatred will not be tolerated on this campus. Period.”
A judge ordered Brochu to stay off the University of Hartford’s campus and not to contact her former roommate during a brief court appearance on Wednesday, the Hartford Courant reports. Police in West Hartford also requested that Brochu face felony hate crime charges of intimidation based on bigotry or bias in addition to the breach of peace and criminal mischief counts she faces.
Brochu did not comment during the hearing and her case was transferred to Hartford Superior Court, where she’s expected to return on Nov. 15, the Courant reports.
Woodward also released a second statement Wednesday on the “deeply disturbing situation,” saying Brochu is no longer welcome at the 6,700-student university.
“She will not be returning to the institution,” Woodward said in a statement. “There has been an outpouring of concern for the victim of these acts from across the University and the country. In my meeting with her yesterday, I reiterated my personal commitment to ensuring she has all available personal and academic resources the University can provide.”
Rowe, who did not return a message from The Post seeking comment Wednesday, said she believes the incident would’ve been handled much differently if she had victimized Brochu.
“The fact that I’m black and my old roommate was white … If the roles was switched, I want to know if it would be handled the same way, right?” Rowe said during her Facebook Live video. “Because I damn well know it wouldn’t.”
Man allegedly raped his mother after argument over money
A Cincinnati man allegedly raped his 63-year-old mother and broke her neck earlier this year after an argument about money, according to a report.
The 46-year-old suspect, according to court documents cited by the Cincinnati Enquirer, “dragged her around the home, punching her in the face and body” during the brutal attack in March. The suspect also “forcibly raped her” and left his mother with serious injuries — including a fractured vertebra in her neck, bruises, cuts and bite marks on her inner thighs and back, the documents show.
The newspaper declined to identify the suspect — who is facing charges of rape, felonious assault and kidnapping — in order to avoid identifying his mother, a sex crimes victim. Opening statements in his trial are expected to begin Tuesday after a jury was selected in Hamilton County Common Pleas Court on Monday.
Prior to jury selection, a prosecutor told Judge Charles Kubicki that the victim ran naked to a neighbor’s house for help after the alleged assault — but was stopped by the suspect, who grabbed his mother and threw her “back over the fence,” a prosecutor said.
The man’s mother later called police when he fell asleep inside the home, where he was still snoozing when cops arrived to arrest him. He told police he couldn’t remember what happened and claimed “he had no knowledge as to how she was injured,” court documents say.
The man was released from jail in March and then returned to his mother’s house and “tried to gain entry,” according to a motion by prosecutors to increase his bond.
The man was blocked from getting back inside by relatives at the home. A judge later increased the suspect’s bond to $500,000 on March 10.

Man kept bodies of mom, brother in home for a year. He couldn’t bring himself to bury them, so he kept them in the house.
Robert Kuefler of White Bear Lake, Minn., tried to discourage visitors, according to prosecutors.
It was likely because he kept the decaying bodies of his mother and twin brother inside his house for about a year, they said.
This week Kuefler was charged with interference with a dead body or scene of death because he neglected to tell authorities that his family members died of natural causes, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reported.
The Pioneer-Press gave Kuefler’s age as 60, while the Minneapolis Star-Tribune listed it as 59.
Before the bodies were found in September 2016, prosecutors said, Kuefler took several steps to prevent relatives and others from stopping by or making inquiries, the newspaper reported:
- He sent out a Christmas card saying his mother and brother were still alive but were having health problems.
- He wrote that his mother didn’t want people to visit the home.
- He told people that neither his mother nor his brother could hear the phone ring.
Police say Kuefler told them his mother, Evelyn Kuefler, died in August 2015 and his brother, Richard Kuefler, died in July 2015.
But he couldn’t bring himself to bury them, so he kept them in the house.
At one point, he moved his brother’s body into the bathroom because it was “in the way,” the Pioneer-Press reported.
The complaint says his mother’s body was decayed and skeletal and his brother’s body was “mummified.”
Kuefler was previously arrested last year on suspicion of exploitation of a vulnerable adult, but apparently there wasn’t enough evidence to support the charge, the Star-
Tribune reported.

Gang members raped man, doused him in gas during home invasion
Three suspected gang members pummeled two men — sexually assaulting one with a pipe threader — before dousing them with gasoline in a Cleveland home, police said.
The trio — believed to be members of the brutal Heartless Felons street gang — are accused of assaulting a 31-year-old man after storming into his apartment in the city’s Clark-Fulton neighborhood last Thursday. Two of the suspects, Nathaniel Ramos Jr., 18, and Kelli Dunnican, 22, were wearing masks at the time, according to police reports cited by Cleveland.com.
Once inside, Ramos, Dunnican and another suspected gang member, Troy White, 47, pummeled the man, punching and kicking him along with another 51-year-old man inside the home. The goons then tied the 31-year-old man’s hands behind his back with blue tape, police said.
The younger victim called White a homophobic slur and accused him of sexually assaulting other inmates while in prison — prompting White to sodomize the man with a metal pipe threader as Ramos and Dunnican held the man down, authorities said.
Ramos doused both victims with gasoline, but the suspects ultimately decided against setting them on fire after Dunnican talked them out of it, police reports show.
Another man suddenly showed up at the house and fought with the three suspects before White shot him twice in his right leg. The wounded 41-year-old victim ran into a room and held the door shut behind him as he screamed for help, prompting the trio to flee the home, but not before Dunnican stole a cellphone and a pair of shoes, according to police reports.
The three suspects were later arrested after running through back yards in the 3200 block of Fulton Road, where Dunnican and Ramos were apprehended outside and White was busted inside a detached garage.
Police found a handgun in White’s pocket at the time of his arrest, and Ramos was found in possession of 14 baggies of marijuana and reeked of gasoline, cops said. Dunnican was found carrying rolls of duct tape, a knife and three cellphones, including the one stolen from the victim’s apartment, police said.
Both Dunnican and Ramos declined to talk to investigators, but White told police he was involved in a theft ring with both victims and that they had smoked crack together earlier that day, police reports show.
White, according to prison records, has served two stints in prison for armed robbery. He’s also scheduled to be sentenced later this month for an apartment burglary in May, Cleveland.com reported.
Dunnican and Ramos do not have adult criminal records.
‘Cannibal couple’ apparently pickled their last victim
An eerie new photo shows the “Russian cannibal couple” kissing as forensic experts claim that the pickled human remains of their last victim were found in a glass jar in their fridge.
The sinister picture was revealed after it emerged that suspect Natalia Baksheeva, 42, complained that she has been mocked by fellow prisoners in jail, with regular taunts of: “Did you eat enough human meat?”
Her husband, Dmitry Baksheev, 35, is being kept in solitary confinement amid fears he will be “beaten” by other detainees.
Glass jars were found in the couple’s home on the grounds of a Russian military academy along with still-unidentified frozen body parts and “steamed human meat.”
Among the horrific finds are the pickled body parts of “final” murder victim Elena Vashrusheva, 35, according to the Moskovsky Komsomolets news website.
The pair from Kransodar city confessed to murdering the waitress “in a fit of jealousy” after Natalia accused her of seeking to seduce her husband.
In jail, Baksheev is reported to have “complained” about the “separation from his wife,” who was said to dominate him in their relationship.
Viktor Belikov, a human rights activist permitted to meet the alleged cannibal in detention, said: “It is obvious that he loves his wife very much and worries about her.”
Belikov also visited Natalia — whose grandfather Konstantin Chanikov was a decorated World War II hero in Stalin’s forces — and said the pair had spoken of their “mad love for each other.”
Natalia told Belikov she “feels for her husband like a mother.”
Natalia then went on to complain that two other women sharing her cell are taunting her over the cannibalism allegations.
The Russian Investigative Committee — which is similar to the FBI — is examining an alleged confession from the ex-nurse that she and her husband killed and ate at least 30 people.
The alleged victims include women dating site users who went missing after arranging to meet up with them.
Spokesman Vadim Bugaenko said they are checking “information about mass murders” and there is “no confirmation yet.”
However, the couple has now changed tack and, while admitting to Elena Vakrusheva’s murder, they reversed a previous confession and denied they were involved in previous killings or cannibalism.
“Dmitry has heard that the newspapers have called him and his wife Natalia cannibals,” said Belikov.
“I would not say that he was angry, his reaction was more melancholic. But he fully denies having eaten human meat.”
Apart from human body parts, police found videos with instructions on how to cannibalize humans in the couple’s apartment.
They also discovered a picture dating back to 1999 that apparently showed a human face being prepared as a dish surrounded by oranges.
Dmitry “does not look well, he is depressed” and prison chiefs have refused to put him in a cell with others because “he could be beaten.”
Reports say Natalia made and sold “pies” from suspected human meat and even supplied local restaurants.
Retired air force communications officer Sergey Labintsev, a friend of the couple, said they suddenly attacked him with the false allegation that he had slept with Natalia.
“I could have been eaten too,” said the pensioner. “I could have been dead. Last night I had a nightmare that they were making steamed meat from me.”
“Some six weeks ago, I just survived. They could have eaten me if I had not been in good physical shape.”
“And I’ve known these people for many years and always helped them.”

Transgender teen’s eyes gouged, genitals stabbed, authorities say
Some of Ally Lee Steinfeld’s burned remains were found in a bag in a rural southern Missouri chicken coop. Authorities say both of the transgender teen’s eyes had been gouged out and she had been stabbed in the genitals.
As questions swirl about why the quiet 17-year-old was killed in such a ghastly manner, authorities aren’t saying what led to the killing. But they dismiss the possibility the death was a hate crime.
Authorities identified the remains as those of Joseph Matthew Steinfeld Jr. – Ally Lee Steinfeld’s birth name. They were found last week in the town of Cabool, near the mobile home of one of the alleged killers, 24-year-old Briana Calderas, with whom Steinfeld was living.
Calderas and two 18-year-olds, Andrew Vrba and Isis Schauer, are charged with first-degree murder and other counts. A fourth suspect is charged with abandonment of a corpse and tampering with evidence.
Both Sheriff James Sigman and prosecutor Parke Stevens Jr. insist the crime was not motivated by Steinfeld’s gender identity.
“I would say murder in the first-degree is all that matters,” Stevens said. “That is a hate crime in itself.”
Yet the killing has drawn the attention of transgender advocates and others across the U.S. who believe Steinfeld was targeted for her gender identity, despite what the Texas County sheriff and prosecutor say.
“This violence, often motivated by hatred, must come to an end,” said Chris Sgro, spokesman for the Human Rights Campaign, who said Steinfeld was the 21st transgender person killed this year in the U.S. “We will continue to mourn Ally and fight back against transphobia and anti-trans violence.”
Steinfeld had been missing for weeks, and initial news reports referred to her as a male, in part because missing-person posters distributed by the family used Steinfeld’s birth name, as did police documents.
Steinfeld’s mother, Amber Steinfeld, still refers to her child as Joey, but said the teen identified as female to family and to friends on social media. She said her child was “loving and kind-hearted.”
Steinfeld was engaged to a woman until they broke up in August, Amber Steinfeld said, and soon after began dating Calderas. She said Steinfeld and the two 18-year-old suspects were all living at Calderas’ mobile home. She said Steinfeld was upbeat before she disappeared, telling relatives that she loved them and was happy.
Steinfeld grew up mostly in House Springs, Missouri, near St. Louis, Amber Steinfeld said. The family moved briefly to Florida, then to Texas County, an area of rugged hills in southern Missouri.
Steinfeld dropped out of high school upon turning 17, Amber Steinfeld said. At about the same time, the rest of the family moved back to House Springs, but Steinfeld stayed in Houston, Missouri, living with different friends.
In May, Steinfeld posted on Instagram that she was coming out and was “mtf,” or male-to-female. In a posting on June 13, Steinfeld referred to herself as “Trans male to female and I am mostly lesbian but pansexual.” In another that same day she wrote, “I am proud to be me I am proud to be trans I am beautiful I don’t care what people think.”
Vrba told investigators he initially tried to poison Steinfeld, then described how he stabbed Steinfeld in the living room of Calderas’ mobile home, Deputy Rowdy Douglas wrote in a probable cause statement. The female suspects said Vrba bragged to them about how he gouged Steinfeld’s eyes and stabbed Steinfeld in the genitals, Douglas wrote. The probable cause statement does not offer any motive.
Authorities say the three suspects burned Steinfeld’s body, placed some of the bones into a garbage bag and put the bag in the chicken coop. Calderas admitted helping burn the body and led authorities to the knife used in the killing, Douglas wrote.
An attorney for the three suspects, Michael Jacobs, said Tuesday that it was too early to comment.
Linda Camara, 61, a friend of Steinfeld’s family, was struck by the gruesome nature of the killing.
“People kill each other, which is bad, but to do it that way, that’s something you see in movies,” Camara said. “And the three people who did this, they were kids, too.”

Teen Accused Of Poisoning Breast Milk For Infant Niece
There are a lot of sick people in the world and young people are definitely not exempt from horrible and sick behavior. An example of this is an Indiana teen who attempted to kill her 11 week old niece by poisoning her breast milk.
According to court documents its has been revealed that there have been texts back and forth from the teen, Sarah Rodriguez and her boyfriend telling him that she was plotting to kill the baby. According to the investigation Rodriguez was upset that her mother allowed her brother, his fiancee and their infant to stay with them for an extended period of time.
According to police, Rodriguez told her boyfriend that she was going to crush acetaminophen and sleeping pills and mix it with a bottle of breast milk in the refrigerator.
When she later discovered that the bottle was missing Rodriguez was thrilled thinking that the baby had been fed the bottle. Unbeknownst to her, her mother discovered the bottle because her and her daughter share the same cell phone and monitors her social media. The police were soon contacted and Rodriguez fled the state but was soon caught. She faces one felony account of attempted murder. The baby has been seen by a toxicologist for poisoning but luckily nothing has been found.
This is just another example of pure evil. It’s obvious that the girl clearly has some disturbing issues, Luckily she’s far away from the baby to do any harm to her.

Georgia Teen Murderer Arrested In Staten Island
A Georgia teen on the run for a double murder has been found and arrested. 17 year old Akilee Zakee Wilson will be extradited back to Georgia after cops found him in a housing complex on Staten Island.
Cops say Wilson was involved in a shooting between two rival groups in Canton, Georgia. When the dust settled, one man was found dead, another injured and one who was wounded but died enroute to the hospital.
Police charged three other men, one of them being the brother of one of the victims, with murder, and a fourth one with obstruction of an officer, in connection with the shooting back in July.
It’s amazing how a lot of young people are throwing their lives away over something that was probably petty more than likely.

Inmates broke out of jail to burglarize a Dollar General, then snuck back in to sell what they stole
A group of Mississippi inmates busted out of jail this week, burglarized a bargain store — and then broke back in and returned to their cells, according to a report.
The jailbirds, identified as Levontaye Ellington, Travis Baker, Maurice Robertson and Jacquiez Williams broke out of the Holmes-Humphreys County Correctional Facility in Lexington Tuesdayby hopping a fence, Mississippi News Now reported.
Once in the clear, the men walked less than a mile to a Dollar General chain store after closing and swiped anything they could grab.
“They stole cigarettes, cigarette lighters, phones and just items they felt they could sell in jail,” Lexington Police Chief Robert Kirklin said according to the report.
But rather than extend their newfound freedom, the foursome inexplicably snuck back into the jail, undetected, baffling police.
“You’re already in jail, but you want to break out and break back in?” the chief said. “That is just something. I heard it all.”
The inmates denied their involvement in the scheme, even though they were caught on store surveillance footage, according to the report.
“Just looking at the type of clothing they had on and just one of the bags they had put some of the merchandise in,” police were able to pin the inmates to the crime, Kirklin said.
The inmates were charged with commercial burglary.
