Bill Cosby’s spokesman says the comedian thinks prison is an ‘amazing experience’

Despite the circumstances, Bill Cosby said his time in prison is an “amazing experience,” his press spokesman Andrew Wyatt said in a TV interview.
Wait, really?
“Yeah, he used the term amazing experience,”
Wyatt said.Wyatt’s interview with WCAU in Philadelphia provides new details of Cosby’s time behind bars at SCI Phoenix, the prison outside Philadelphia. Cosby was sentenced in September to three to 10 years in prison for drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand at his home in 2004.
The case came after dozens of women came forward with accusations that Cosby had drugged and assaulted them in similar incidents over his lengthy career atop the comedy world.
Cosby was moved to the prison’s general population two weeks ago and is now in a single cell without a cellmate, said Amy Worden, press secretary for the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections. He was previously being held in a single cell in a unit adjacent to the infirmary.
Bill Cosby’s wife Camille has not yet visited him in prison, and that’s just how Cosby prefers it, Wyatt said.
“Right now I’m his only visitor outside of his attorneys, and that’s the way he wants it,” Wyatt said.
“She has not visited him. He does not want her to visit him.”
Instead, Cosby prefers to speak to his wife by phone — three times a day for three minutes each, Wyatt confirmed. The prison, 30 miles outside of Philadelphia, is about a 30- to 45-minute drive from Montgomery County, where Cosby has a home.
‘He’s mentally strong’
In the NBC10 interview, Wyatt said Cosby has lost weight while behind bars. He wakes up at 3:30 in the morning to exercise in his cell, and also has avoided eating bread or dessert in prison, Wyatt said.
“And he hasn’t drank any coffee since he’s been in there. Now the funny part about it (is) Mrs. Cosby’s been trying to stop him from drinking coffee for 55 years and it took this to stop him from drinking coffee,” Wyatt said.
“He’s mentally strong. He’s just a strong man,” Wyatt added.Wyatt told CNN last week that Cosby is living largely separated from other inmates, except that he has helpers who guide him around because of his vision problems.”He does not eat in the area with other residents, he does not have a cellmate, and he does not exercise with other residents,” Wyatt said last week.
The general population cells where Cosby is being held are arrayed in two stories around a central “day room,” where inmates can talk, watch TV or play cards, Worden said. Like all other general population inmates, Cosby must be accounted for in his cell seven times a day.

Bill Cosby wants out of prison already
It’s been less than two weeks since Bill Cosby got sentenced and his lawyers are already trying to get him out of prison — and the judge in his case tossed, too.
A defense motion filed Friday outlines his attorneys’ requests, which include the overturning of the actor’s conviction and three- to 10-year sentence on account of errors made in his sex assault case and trial.
“The defendant, William H. Cosby, Jr., moves this Court for a new trial in the interest of justice, or at least for reconsideration and modification of the sentence imposed on September 25, 2018,” the motion says, according to Deadline.
Cosby’s defense team claims Judge Steven O’Neill should’ve recused himself from the sentence hearing following the 2017 mistrial and ensuing retrial this spring.
“For the reasons detailed in Mr. Cosby’s previously-filed motions for recusal (which are incorporated here by reference, without being repeated and set forth at length), and for all the foregoing reasons, a reasonable observer could question the impartiality of the judge who imposed the September 25, 2018, sentence,” the filing says. “Accordingly, Judge O’Neill should have recused himself from imposing sentence.”

Amber Rose Doubles Down On Wishing Bill Cosby Death And Reveals She Was Sexually Assaulted By Someone Famous In Another Instagram Rant
Opinions are split when it comes to Bill Cosby’s recent sentencing. Amber Rose was one of the first celebrities to publicly celebrate the prison sentence to which she received a lot of backlash for doing so.
The model took to Instagram to say that she hoped that the comedian would die while serving his time behind bars.
Some fans felt that Rose was taking it too far by wishing death on someone. Her post was deleted but she came back on the morning of September 30 to double down on what she said.
The mom posted a photo that read: ‘So if your momma came to you and said “this guy raped me 36 years ago’ would you be asking for proof?”
She accompanied the picture with a caption that read: “No you wouldn’t. So stfu. Everyone said ‘Awwww poor Bill Cosby, he’s gonna die in the first 2 years of his sentence’ But I said ‘I hope he serves the full 10 years then dies’ I’m wrong and wishing death on him? FOH Stand up for a Rapist if y’all want to. I said what the f*** I said PS the only reason s*** was deleted on the last Bill Cosby post is cuz you can’t put our “pres” name and “die” in the same caption or FB will f*** ur algorithm up and I’ll be d***** if I let two sexual predators f*** with my money.”
After someone commented that she should ‘keep the same energy with Harvey Weinstein,’ she reiterated that she feels the same way about all rapists and revealed that she was sexually assaulted by someone famous but is scared to name who it was because she doesn’t want her family to be harassed.
Amber is currently preparing for her annual Slutwalk.

Bill Cosby’s Star Won’t Be Removed From Hollywood Walk Of Fame
HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA/AP) – Despite being sentenced to 3 to 10 years in prison for drugging and sexually assaulting a woman, Bill Cosby’s star will not be removed from the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
In a statement Tuesday to CBS2, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce said it “does not remove stars from the Walk of Fame” because they “are intended to be permanent.”
“The stars only commemorate the recipient’s professional accomplishments,” the chamber wrote. “It is regrettable when the personal lives of inductees do not measure up to public standards and expectations.”
This comes after a petition was submitted Monday demanding that Cosby’s star be pulled. The chamber has never removed a star from the Walk of Fame and turned down a 2015 request to remove Cosby’s star when the sexual assault allegations against him first began to surface.
Not everyone shared the Chamber of Commerce’s view after Cosby’s sentencing Tuesday.
A Pennsylvania judge Tuesday sentenced Bill Cosby to 3 to 10 years in prison for three felony counts of aggravated indecent assault. The judge also declared him a sexually violent predator.
In April, Cosby was found guilty of sexually assaulting Temple University women’s basketball administrator Andrea Constand at his estate near Philadelphia in 2004.
“It is time for justice. Mr. Cosby, this has all circled back to you. The time has come,” Montgomery County Judge Steven O’Neill said. He quoted from Constand’s own statement to the court, in which she said Cosby took her “beautiful, young spirit and crushed it.”
O’Neill also denied Bill Cosby bail, ordering him to be locked up immediately.

A photograph of a former Cosby Show cast member working at a New Jersey Trader Joe’s—which was published in the Daily Mail and on FoxNews.com—sparked outrage from people who believed that the amateur photographer (and the media) was job-shaming the actor, Geoffrey Owens.
Shopper Karma Lawrence, who took the picture, told the Daily Mail at the time, “I used to watch The Cosby Show all the time; it was my favorite show. It was definitely him. I would have thought after The Cosby Show he would maybe be doing something different. It was a shock to see him working there and looking the way he did. It made me feel really bad. I was like, ‘Wow, all those years of doing the show and you ended up as a cashier.’ Other fans would be surprised for sure as well.”
Now, after many people shared their disgust that Owens was being judged negatively for having a job, Lawrence feels bad about her decision. In an interview with NJ.com, she explained, “I don’t know why I snuck a picture. I figured everybody does it. I don’t know what possessed me. I just did it. I didn’t even think about it. I just kind of did it on impulse and it was a bad impulse.”
Lawrence also insisted, “It wasn’t malicious. That’s on my kids, my grandkids, my parents. I’m not that type of a person. I’m not the monster they’re making me out to be,” and lamented the backlash she’s received: “So much hate. So much nastiness. Oh, it’s been terrible. They write Karma’s a b****. It’s bad.”
Owens, for his part, said he took the job at Trader Joe’s because his teaching and acting gigs just weren’t adding up to enough for himself and his family. And he wasn’t ashamed of working there. “There’s no job that’s better than another job,” Owens said on Good Morning America. “It might pay better, it might have better benefits, look better on a resume or on paper, but actually it’s not better. Every job is worthwhile and valuable.”
Lawrence, who says she thought that he was working at the grocery store because his Cosby Show residuals were cut in the wake of Bill Cosby’s predatory behavior being publicized, had this message for Owens, “I would tell him, ‘I am extremely, extremely apologetic about what has happened.’ And if I could take it back, I would.”
