Looks like things for Netflix 13 Reasons Why will expand on the cause and effect of rape and school bullying and responsibilities of ones actions that cause reaction.
Not much is known about 13 Reasons Why season two…until now. The Netflix series is “going off book,” still living in the world based on Jay Asher’s book, but going further with the characters, Kate Walsh told E! News.
“It’s a very exciting season for a lot of reasons,” Walsh said. “You see us sort of following the trail of Bryce Walker [Justin Prentice], so this season deals with sexual assault, it deals with truth, it deals with responsibility, it deals with the aftermath of Hannah’s death…And really trying to, again, look for responsibility and accountability. It’s very intense and very, I think, still totally addictive.”…..

This marks an end of a chapter in OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network’s history — the network’s popular docuseries Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s will end after its upcoming fifth season, which is set to premiere with a special sneak preview on Tuesday, May 1 at 10 PM, following Tyler Perry’s The Haves and The Have Nots. The series about the behind-the-scenes drama at a family-operated soul food empire, will continue in its regular time slot on Saturdays beginning May 5.
Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s was OWN’s first breakout hit that helped the network find its identity and start catering more to African American audiences. It became a signature series for OWN, which found stability, ratings growth and more hits. It ranks as the #2 original Saturday-night series in OWN history among the network’s core demo of women 25-54 and in total viewers and was 2017’s #2 original cable series on Saturday nights for African American women.
“For nearly seven years, our viewers have fallen in love and followed an incredible journey with Miss Robbie, Tim and the whole family,” said Erik Logan, president, OWN. “It comes with immense gratitude and appreciation as we send off the series for its final season and make OWN history celebrating 100 memorable episodes.”
Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s will mark its 100th episode finale on Saturday, June 9 with a special 60-minute after-show immediately following the finale. Why do this? When Netflix already has safe guards already in place. Netflix does have parental control over the their children’s content. It is up to the parent and or gaurdien to look and listen to what their child is doing. It is the parents RESPONSIBILITY to insure that their suicidal child or that heavily influenced child does NOT look at programs like this. It is he parents RESPONSIBILITY to make sure vulnerable child is not on social media. Why escalate the child triggers when you allow it . You have to watch your children like hawks.

Ahead of its expected second-season premiere this year, the conservative and publicly funded group on Wednesday urged the streaming giant to hold off on releasing the Brian Yorkey suicide drama until “experts in the scientific community have determined it to be safe for consumption by an audience that is comprised heavily of minor children.”
After becoming an instant phenomenon, 13 Reasons Why found itself thrust into a global conversation about how some of its tough subjects in the high school drama were handled, specifically the graphic depiction of teenager Hannah Baker’s (Katherine Langford) suicide. The series revolves around Hannah’s unexplained suicide — which was shown up close — and the 13 audiotapes she left behind for her classmates to decipher and ultimately understand why she took her own life…..
