Netflix Luke Cage has been Cancelled Here’s why….
Here is why Luke Cage and Iron Fist was canceled on Netflix.
Roseanne Tells Vice ABC Did ‘Worst Thing They Could’ In Firing Her As She Struggled With ‘Mental Health Issues’
ABC did “the worst thing they could have possibly done to me…to fire me from my own show,” Roseanne Barr complained to Vice in an interview it’s airing tonight right before ABC’s unveiling of The Conners.
In a pretaped interview airing on HBO, Barr paints herself as a victim, describing to Vice the “emotional and psychological impact of going from stratospheric stardom to being completely de-platformed,” as Vice put it.
“I don’t keep in touch with anyone on the show. I’ve been removed from the process of my life’s work. It’s like the worst thing they could have possibly done to me, was to fire me from my own show and let other people write my life story,” Barr complained.
This time, she is describing what happened thusly:
“I was a my moms’ house at Salt Lake and I was very happy and my show was No. 1 after 20 years — and not just be No. 1 but 28 million people watched it. So I was in happy place.”
She said she went to bed, woke up at 2:11 a.m., “tweeted that tweet” and went back to sleep.
“When I woke up in the morning it was all over the news and I was like, ‘Uh oh.’ And [the tweet] was characterized as racist, which made my stomach fall to my feet.”
ABC called, she said, and asked her, “What possible excuse can you have for something you’ve done which is unforgivable’ and some other word I can’t remember,” Roseanne described.
“I said, ‘I’ll be happy to go on all the ABC shows and explain it, and apologize’. They said, ‘No,’ I wasn’t allowed to do that.”
“Not too long after that, my mom was watching TV and saw that it was canceled. And that was just the beginning,” Roseanne added, dramatically.
The tweet that caused ABC to abruptly cancel Barr’s hit comedy series revival, came just days after the network made her the star of its Upfront presentation to advertisers.
Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, Barr tweeted, calling former President Barack Obama adviser Valeria Jarrett an offspring of the “Muslim Brotherhood & Planet of the Apes.”
In her initial tweet about Jarrett, Barr referred to her as “muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj.” It was in response to a tweet referencing a Wikileaks claim that the CIA during Obama’s term in office spied on French presidential candidates.
In response to blowback calling the tweet racist, Barr tweeted, “Muslims r not a race.” Jarrett, an African-American, was born in Iran to American parents.
Later, when the situation began to impress itself upon her, Barr tweeted that the original tweet was “a bad joke about [Jarrett’s] politics and her looks” adding, “I should have known better. Forgive me-my joke was in bad taste.”
Except it wasn’t the first time Barr had called an African-American woman an “ape”. In 2013, she called Obama National Security Adviser Susan Rice “a man with big swinging ape balls.”
After canceling Roseanne, ABC agreed in June to a spinoff called The Conners, starring same original cast members except Barr, after she agreed to have no financial or creative participation in the series. In a statement, Barr said she agreed to the settlement “in order that 200 jobs of beloved cast and crew could be saved, and I wish the best for everyone involved.”
These days, Barr told Vice, she’s spending time organizing photos, sleeping, smoking, and more.
“I’ve got a lot of time for real life, real-life stuff. Like, just going for a walk with my mom and having an ice cream cone. Stuff like that. Waiting in lines, I’ve really been sleeping a lot, like, probably 17 hours a day,” she described.
She said she started smoking,” adding, “I have struggled with mental health issues and I was struggling at that time as well. My whole life I’ve been under punches, not just my career. My life. Ya, I’ve been under punches forever.

Scott Disick & Kris Jenner Slam Kim Kardashian As ‘Scary’ — See Why They’re Afraid To Look At Her
Scott Disick and Kris Jenner bond over their shared fear: Looking Kim Kardashian in the eyes! Find out why they’re so spooked in the sneak peek clip for the Oct. 7 episode of ‘KUWTK,’ here.
A discussion over a birthday gift turns into a revelation for Scott Disick, 35, and Kris Jenner, 62. Kim Kardashian, 37, gives them too much of a reality check — even as the reality television icons of Keeping Up with the Kardashians! While on a lunch outing, Kris reveals to Scott that she’d like to surprise her best friend, Sheila Kolker, with a birthday face lift in a sneak peek clip for the Oct. 7 episode of KUWTK. You know, as a return favor since Sheila was “there every step of the way” for the KarJenner matriarch’s face lift, she tells Scott in the clip below. But the baby daddy to Kris’s daughter, Kourtney Kardashian, 39, isn’t sure if Sheila will be as thrilled about the gesture.
“Even though it’s really a sweet gesture, are you at all nervous that you could offend her in anyway? Is it like, ‘Hey, your face looks old?’” Scott asks Kris. “Just think about it…If you told me that I needed something done, even if maybe I didn’t, I would definitely go stare and look at whatever that was.” And that gives Kris an epiphany. Kim is the metaphorical equivalent of suggesting someone should get a face lift! “Kim does that to me 24/7,” Kris tells Scott, referring to how she makes her self-conscious. And Scott can’t wait to relate — watch their full conversation below!
Scott always tells it as it is! In the last episode of KUWTK, our favorite baby daddy was pretty blunt: He does not in fact want a fourth baby with Kourtney, as he said so himself in the Sept. 30 episode. Once again, Kim’s meddling is to blame! Scott explained to her little sister Khloe Kardashian, 34, his text conversation with Kim in which she claimed he confessed to wanting baby #4. “No, it was more along the lines of her saying how boring Kourtney was, and if she was doing anything right, she would have another kid with you,” Scott told Khloe. And remember — he’s dating Sofia Richie, 20! It turns out Scott was just trying to be a Kim-pleaser. He continued, “You know how it is. When somebody in the family is super passionate about something, you just gotta kinda pretend you’re with it even if you have no idea what they’re really talking about.”
Anyways, we see Scott’s point. A complimentary face lift, although a nice offer, could be a bit offensive. Kris, maybe a gift card is safer?

‘Black Panther’ Theory Suggests Killmonger May Have a Son
At the end of Black Panther, T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) and Shuri (Letitia Wright) go to Oakland, California where they establish the first-ever Wakandan outreach center at the building where Killmonger’s father N’Jobu (Sterling K. Brown) died at King T’Chaka’s (John Kani) hand for his betrayal of Wakanda by working with Ulysses Klaue (Andy Serkis) to steal vibranium. After revealing the presence of his Royal Talon Flyer to some kids playing basketball in the parking lot of the building, one boy hangs behind and asks T’Challa who he is. It’s this kid who some fans think might be Killmonger’s son.
In general, it’s not an impossible concept. While Killmonger was a very focused young man — Everett Ross explains that he graduated from Annapolis at 19 before going on to MIT and becoming a Navy SEAL — he could have had a relationship in his youth that led to him having a son. As Killmonger has proven himself to be a very intense individual, it’s even possible that the child’s mother wouldn’t have told him leading to the son growing up without his father’s presence in his life as one could argue that Killmonger wouldn’t leave his own son without a father the way he was.
It’s an idea that works with the film visually as well. When we first meet Killmonger, it’s as a child named Erik playing basketball outside in the same parking lot noticing the presence of a similar Royal Talon Flyer before running inside to find his father’s body. The actor playing the boy who speaks with T’Challa even looks a little bit like N’Jobu with a similar physical carriage and bearing to Killmonger’s.
If Killmonger did have an unknown son, it could set up for future conflict within the world of Black Panther. Given that one of the things that drove Killmonger was the poverty and injustice endured by black people not just in his Oakland neighborhood but the world at large, if the son grew up in similar circumstances — particularly if he heard stories of his absent father’s life — he may also harbor a similar rage towards Wakanda even with their efforts to open up to the world. This is especially true considering that the state of the world and Wakanda post-Avengers: Infinity War is very different than it was at the end of Black Panther.
Captain Marvel is the next movie on the Marvel Studios slate and that debuts on March 8, 2019 followed by the fourth Avengers movie on May 3, 2019. Spider-Man: Far From Home is scheduled for release on July 5, 2019.

Netflix Will Let Viewers Determine Endings Of Some Shows: Report
In an effort to find yet another way to make its service sticky, Netflix is planning to roll out interactive features on shows including Black Mirror that will enable viewers to choose their own endings, according to a report by Bloomberg.
Citing unnamed sources, the report said projects will be released before the end of the year that follow the model of some kids shows already on Netflix, such as Puss in Book. The technology follows the pattern of videogames, and Netflix has videogame-based shows in the works, including a take on Minecraft due by the end of 2018.
HBO has already dipped a toe into interactive waters this year with Mosaic. The six-part Steven Soderbergh-directed mystery thriller aired on the linear network but was accompanied by an app featuring a range of different story threads that viewers could customize. Critics generally praised Soderbergh’s narrative architecture and the experience of the show.
Black Mirror is a prominent, Emmy-winning series for Netflix, whose themes lend themselves to high-tech experimentation. The fifth season of the Charlie Brooker-created show is expected to premiere in December.
In addition to Black Mirror, Netflix has closed a deal for one other live-action series and is in the final stages of other deals, according to Bloomberg.
While plenty of reality series have incorporated interactive elements for years now, the scripted realm faces hurdles to wider deployment of choose-your-own-ending storytelling. In addition to the technology requirements, it requires more extensive scripts and produced scenes. That can present budget and labor challenges for producers.

CBS’ God Friended Me Recap
CBS’ God Friended Me is the latest entry into the “mysterious higher power helps regular person do good” TV genre. (R.I.P., Kevin, Joan and Eli Stone.) Will you hit “accept” on this Almighty show?
The Mayor‘s Brandon Micheal Hall stars an atheist podcast host who lost his faith as a child when his mother went into remission only to then be killed in a car accident on the way home from the hospital. Naturally, his father (Scandal‘s Joe Morton) is a reverend, so the two don’t get along so well.
Miles’ life takes a turn when he receives a Facebook friend request from God, which is then followed by a friend suggestion: John Dove. And who just happens to walk by but the John Dove! Miles follows the upset man to the subway, where he stops John from jumping on the tracks and killing himself.
The next friend suggestion leads him to Cara Bloom (The Flash‘s Violett Beane), an online journalist with writers’ block who agrees to help him find out who’s behind the God account — if she gets the story. In the midst of their investigation, God hacks Miles’ computer, pulling up a photo of Miles’ mother during her last chemo session, which sends Cara abruptly fleeing the apartment. After a little digging, Miles discovers that the nurse in the image is Cara’s estranged mother. He convinces his new friend to talk to her mom, but the confrontation goes horribly wrong when Cara learns that her mother has a daughter and runs away… into the path of an oncoming car. Luckily, John Dove — who’s a doctor! — happens to be in a nearby taxi and saves Cara’s life.
Cara accepts her mom’s apology in the hospital, while Miles — moved by the grand design of it all? — extends an olive branch to his father. As for the God account, Cara offers to keep helping Miles get down to the bottom of it, and in the process, do some actual good. She then leaves for her newly discovered half-sister’s soccer game just as Miles receives another friend suggestion.
The cast also includes Suraj Sharma (Homeland) as Miles’ skilled hacker pal Rakesh and Javicia Leslie (MacGyver) as Miles’ psych student sister Ali.
