Netflix’s ‘Dogs’: All About This Endearing New Docu-series
Animal lovers, brace yourself. Netflix’s Dogs might just be the thing to break your heart — or make it three-times bigger (Grinch-style).
Just yesterday Netflix dropped the first trailer for a beautiful new docu-series called Dogs. Now, it’s basically exactly what its cutely terse title sounds like; it is a show all about the powerful bond between man and canine. However, the trailer teases that Dogs might be something more than your typical adorable YouTube playlist. Netflix’s new series is going to be a six-part docu-series that will span the globe to tell extraordinary stories about the friendship between people and their beloved dogs.
The Dogs trailer introduces us to a Syrian refugee skyping with his pooch, Zeus, who is still stuck in the war-torn country. The man explains to the audience that he’s going to work to get Zeus out. Elsewhere, an Italian man introduces his Golden Retriever Ice as an integral member of his family — so much so that Ice has to be shushed at the dinner table because he’s “talking” over someone else. The trailer also shows us families hoping to pair their disabled daughter with a service dog who can become her best friend and one Japanese woman who considers her pet dog her “daughter.”
Dogs has an all-star line-up of directors including Amy Berg, Roger Ross Williams, Heidi Ewing, Richard Hankin, and T.J. Martin & Daniel Lindsay. The series was developed by Glen Zipper, who serves as co-executive producer with Amy Berg.
Dogs debuts on Netflix on November 16.

Liam Neeson Is A Revenge-Seeking Snowplow Driver In The ‘Cold Pursuit’ Trailer
History’s greatest monster is whoever decided Hard Powder, a movie where Liam Neeson kills members of a Rocky Mountains drug cartel with his snowplow, should be retitled Cold Pursuit. That’s a less interesting title (although I do appreciate the chilly wordplay, which I just got), but no matter, the movie still looks great, in a “Schindler’s List actor Liam Neeson now fights wolves and drives murder-plows and no one thinks less of him” kind of way.
Did I mention that Neeson says “when you drive the same road day after day, it’s easy to think about the road not taken” while gazing adoringly at his wife, played by Laura Dern? And that the trailer is set to “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper,” for some reason? And that there’s a random shot of someone parachuting? And that Neeson kills a dude by dropping a tree through his car? Movie of the year.
Here’s the official synopsis.
Cold Pursuit, an action thriller infused with irreverent humor, stars Liam Neeson as Nels Coxman, a family man whose quiet life with his wife (Laura Dern) is upended following the mysterious death of their son. Nels’ search for justice turns into a vengeful hunt for Viking (Tom Bateman), a drug lord he believes is connected to the death. As one by one each of Viking’s associates “disappear,” Nels goes from upstanding citizen to ice-cold vigilante, letting nothing — and no one — get in his way.
Cold Pursuit opens on February 8, 2019.

‘The Lion King’ Cast Gathers For Behind-The-Scenes Photo Sans Beyoncé
The circle of life for every animated Disney classic is that it will eventually be remade into a live-action film ― and “The Lion King” is next.
Filming for the Jon Favreau-directed feature kicked off in summer 2017, but the all-star cast, which includes Donald Glover as Simba and Beyoncé as Nala, is apparently still hard at work providing voices for the beloved animated characters.
Favreau shared a Beyoncé-less behind-the-scenes photo of some of the movie’s stars on his Twitter account Wednesday, teasing what could be the recording of “Hakuna Matata.”
In the photo, Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner, who play the iconic duo Timon and Pumba, pose alongside Glover and Favreau.
The characters in the film all sing the anthem together, so it’s not much of a stretch to assume this crew was deep into the “no worries” mode.
Rogen and Eichner also shared the photo on their own social media accounts.
Despite Bey’s absence from the recording session, we do know that Glover, at least, has worked with her, which he understandably described as a “little intimidating.”
“Just hearing her do it, it’s been like, ‘Man, this is a really special thing,’” Glover told “Entertainment Tonight” in May.
Eichner admitted he’s also had some trouble keeping his cool around big-name stars on set.
“I was freaking out,” the “Difficult People” alum told E! News. “I mean, the cast is amazing. Me and Seth Rogen are Timon and Pumbaa, so we do ‘Hakuna Matata’ and then we also sing ‘Can You Feel the Love Tonight’ with Simba and Nala, who are going to be voiced by Donald Glover and someone who is named Beyoncé.”
Oh yeah? We think we’ve heard of her.
“The Lion King,” which is set to hit theaters July 19, 2019, also stars James Earl Jones, John Oliver, JD McCrary, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Alfre Woodard.

Pet Sematary: The First Trailer Will Leave You Gasping For Breath
After a batch of unnerving photos from the new Pet Sematary remake were released earlier this week, we finally have a trailer to obsess over. Directors Kevin Kolsch and Dennis Widmyer introduce us to the Creed family, who moves into a new home that just so happens to be next to a small woodland cemetery for pets. What they don’t realize — at least not at first — is that the land allows the creatures buried there to come back from the dead. When tragedy strikes, the family pushes the powers of the cemetery to the extreme.
Jason Clarke and Amy Seimetz star as Louis and Rachel Creed, who are parents to young Ellie (Jeté Laurence) and Gage (twins Hugo Lavoie and Lucas Lavoie). John Lithgow is also on board as their kinda creepy next door neighbor, Jud Crandall, who informs them of the cemetery’s powers. Watch the first trailer for the Stephen King adaptation above before it hits theaters on April 5, 2019.

Part 2 introduces viewers to Kathleen Zellner, Avery’s hard-charging postconviction lawyer, in her fight to prove that Avery was wrongly convicted and win his freedom. Ricciardi and Demos also follow Dassey’s post-conviction lawyers, Laura Nirider and Steven Drizin with Northwestern University’s Center on Wrongful Convictions of Youth, as they fight in federal court to prove their client’s confession was involuntary, a fight that could take Brendan’s case all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Making a Murderer Part 2 is a Synthesis Films Production. Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos serve as executive producers, writers, and directors.
Part 2 will launch on Netflix on October 19.

Christian Bale Gained 40 Pounds And Grew His Neck To Play Dick Cheney; Watch First Vice Trailer Here
The Batman actor is nearly unrecognisable in his latest role.
The first full-length trailer for the Dick Cheney movie Vice has landed, providing the first very good look at a transformed Christian Bale as George W. Bush’s controversial vice president.
Bale is almost unrecognisable, thanks to his latest shape-shifting effort. He told Yahoo that he gained 40 pounds, shaved his head, and bleached his eyebrows for the role, while co-star Steve Carrell said to Collider that Bale did exercises to make his neck thicker to look more like Cheney’s.
The result is stunning, as Bale certainly looks the part. He also successfully captures some of Cheney’s trademark mannerisms and his speaking style. Check out the trailer above.
This is just Bale’s latest physical transformation for a role. With a diet consisting of whiskey and cigarettes, he got down to just 120 pounds (54kg) for his role in 2004’s The Machinist before bulking up immediately to play Batman in Batman Begins the next year. Bale lost weight again for 2010’s The Fighter, in which he played accomplished-boxer-turned-crack-addict Dicky Eklund; he won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for that role. Bale then put more than 40 pounds back on and grew his hair for the role of con artist Mel Weinberg in American Hustle.
