Usher’s Herpes Accuser’s Medical Information Leaked
Usher’s Herpes Accuser: “Insurance Companies Outed My Medical Info”
One of the the women who sued Usher for allegedly giving her herpes, is now suing insurance companies … claiming they outed her medical records.
Laura Helm is going after the insurers because she says her application for insurance ended up in a blog post which revealed her “private sensitive health information.” According to the suit, Laura filed her application with an insurance broker — representing 3 companies — on July 31, 2017.
In the suit, Laura says the broker took screenshots of her application and gave them to the blog. She’s suing the 3 companies … United Heathcare, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Louisiana and Golden Rule Insurance Company — as well as the blog.
Laura also claims the blog defamed her by saying she committed insurance fraud.
Helm initially sued Usher anonymously in July. The blog posts with her medical info were published in August — and she only revealed her name in docs subsequently filed in September.
As TMZ first reported, Helm dismissed the lawsuit against Usher.

Ex-teacher claims she was fired for calling cops after student sexually assaulted her
A former Westchester County schoolteacher claims she was fired for calling the cops on a student who sexually assaulted her, according to a federal lawsuit.
Judy Sugar is suing the Greenburgh Eleven school district and Elton Thompson, the principal of Mary McLeod Bethune Junior and Senior High School in Dobbs Ferry, where she worked until her dismissal in 2015.
On May 14, 2015, she claims a student “accosted” her, touching her legs and backside with his exposed penis as she bent over a microscope, according to the complaint filed Thursday in US District Court in White Plains.
Sugar said she immediately reported the incident to Thompson but claims he did nothing.
She also said she had complained previously about the student but her concerns were ignored.
The head teacher at the school reportedly told Sugar that if she wanted to file a report, she could stop by Dobbs Ferry police headquarters on her way home instead of calling officers to the school.
But Sugar said she was worried about the safety of other students and of other teachers, particularly the recently hired “young, attractive” music instructor with whom the student was in class.
So she called the cops who said they would respond to the school immediately.
Upon hearing this, the complaint states, Thompson reportedly said, “You called the police?”
Almost immediately after that, Thompson allegedly told the teacher to leave school grounds and that insinuated job was in jeopardy.
Later that day, Sugar reported the assault to cops, who told her they had been turned away from the school earlier in the day.
The student was arrested the next day and an order of protection was issued barring him from having any contact with his former teacher.
Four days later, Sugar said she was summoned to the principal’s office and fired.
The school district claimed she’d violated their policy barring teachers from calling the police to report a crime on school grounds, but Sugar said she was unaware of any such policy.
The former teacher is asking for her job back, along with back pay, bonuses and benefits and for the school district to pay her legal fees.
Schools Superintendent Anthony Gyetua-Danquah said Tuesday that he was not made aware of any lawsuit and therefore could not comment.
Thompson could not be reached Tuesday.
Eric Garner’s mom barred from granddaughter’s funeral
Eric Garner’s mom was barred from her own granddaughter’s funeral on Monday, sparking an ugly shoving match outside a Harlem church.
Gwen Carr wasn’t allowed inside the First Corinthian Baptist Church, where mourners honored Erica Garner, the 27-year-old daughter of Eric Garner — whose death at the hands of the NYPD touched off national protests in 2014.
Erica Garner died from a heart attack on Dec. 30.
Carr blamed Monday’s fiasco on her daughter-in-law, Erica’s mother, Esaw “Pinky” Garner.
“She didn’t want none of our family in there, on my side — the Garners,” said Carr, explaining that the family rift has been building for years.
“Pinky” Garner could not be immediately reached for comment.
“We would not disrespect Gwen,” Sharpton said. “We don’t take sides with that.”

LI woman who suffocated newborn, stuffed body in bag sentenced to 8 years
MINEOLA, N.Y. — A Long Island college student who admitted to smothering her newborn daughter after a hidden pregnancy has been sentenced to eight years in prison.
Sharon Seudat was sentenced Monday in court in Mineola, crying while she voiced her regret for her actions.
The 22-year-old could have faced 25 years to life in prison if she were convicted of murder at trial, Newsday reports. She instead pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter.
Seudat previously admitted that in March 2016 she wrapped the newborn in sheets and blankets, placed her hand over the baby’s mouth and then put her body in a garbage bag.
Officers that day responded to woman’s home on Walnut Street in Glen Head to find her bleeding profusely. She was rushed to the hospital where doctors determined she had just given childbirth.
Detective Capt. John Azzata said Seudat, who hid the pregnancy from her parents, initially denied giving birth.
Investigators returned to the home to find the baby’s lifeless body in a black plastic bag on the back deck. Azzata said the child was born alive and was suffocated.
Seudat faces five years of post-release supervision after her prison sentence.
Firing, discriminating against women breastfeeding at work in NJ now illegal
TRENTON, N.J. — Firing or discriminating against women who breastfeed at work is now prohibited under a state law enacted by Republican Gov. Chris Christie on Monday.
Christie signed the legislation along with dozens of other measures, including two related bills, in the waning days of his two-term administration. Democrat Phil Murphy will take over as governor on Jan. 16.
In a statement, Christie rebuked the New Jersey Business and Industry Association, a business lobbying group, for what he called its “illogical opposition” to the legislation.
“During my term, I have done all I could do to support a welcoming environment to working mothers in New Jersey workplaces. It is deeply disturbing that a major business lobbying group does not share that sentiment,” Christie said.
The business group did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Employers would be in violation of the new law, which serves as an update to the state’s civil rights law, for firing or discriminating against a woman over breastfeeding. Businesses must now also provide break time and a suitable location for breastfeeding women to express milk in private.
New Jersey and 48 other states, along with Washington, D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands, already have laws allowing women to breastfeed in public and private locations, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures.
Christie cast the new law, which passed unanimously in the Democrat-led Legislature, as an extension of a 2014 measure that expanded civil rights protections to pregnant women and required pregnancy-related accommodations.
“My hope is that this bill will close the gap left by the 2014 legislation and will provide on-going protections to breastfeeding mothers,” Christie said.
The bill’s sponsors welcomed the new law as a way to help breastfeeding women balance work and motherhood.
“No woman should ever be shamed for, or prevented from feeding her child the best food possible,” said Democratic Assemblywoman Valerie Vainieri Huttle. “This allows working women to breastfeed or pump at work without fear of repercussions.”
Christie also signed into law a bill requiring human milk banks to be registered and another measure that exempts breast pumps from the sales tax.
The Paul Brothers Being Racist, #JustAnotherSunday :)
The Paul Bros are the gift from Ohio that keeps giving (us content to talk about). The brothers are no strangers to controversy, the first wave of which began with the younger brother, Jake Paul (former Disney channel star), facing criticism for being a public nuisance in his neighborhood and allegedly abusing his live in employees (especially his on again off again girlfriend) part of Team10.
Now footage has been released to TMZ in which Jake is dropping N-bombs during a freestyle rap during Coachella last year. Jake freestyled over Rae Sremmurd‘s “Throw Sum Mo” beat, and early in the video, around 7 seconds, he raps something about … “little ass n***as.”
Later he says, “I whip it like my n***a Richie Vetter, he make the pu**y so wet it gets wetter.”
“A source connected to Jake tells us the 20-year-old isn’t racist” (TMZ). TMZ’s Jake source says the actor and YouTube sensation has matured a lot since this video was shot 8 months ago. Okay.
Jake Paul was known to be the annoying younger brother, and Logan Paul was assumed to be older, more mature, with more sense in the head. Unfortunately, that is not the case as these brothers are two branches off the same tree.
Logan received Youtube wide backlash where he proceeded to film in the Aokigahara forest (also known as the Suicide Forest, where many venture into to commit suicide). While in the Forest, Paul wore a hideous green hat, that provided an offensive contrast to the seriousness of the Forest’s nature. This hat may also be representative of his childish mindset and how he is so far removed from reality, especially so when he filmed someone who committed suicide. Logan posted the video to Youtube and set the body as a Youtube thumbnail.
After the backlash Logan posted an apology to Twitter, a narcissistic non-apology no less.
After even more backlash Logan posted a more somber apology video to Youtube, which went #1 on the trending page, watch that here.
Logan eventually concluded that his social media fame has led him to blur the line between the Internet and the real world, and so he will be taking a break from the Internet. We hope that he will take his brother with him, and they both come back with more wholesome content.
It should be noted that Logan Paul has a history of racism, especially against Asian people, watch Keren Joy’s video here.

Teen who died days after Christmas didn’t know she had cancer
A teenage girl tragically died just days after she was out partying with her friends — completely oblivious to the fact she had terminal cancer.
Ellie Walsh celebrated Christmas Eve with her friends without a care in the world, but three days later she fell gravely ill.
The 18-year-old from Lincolnshire, England, underwent surgery after a scan revealed a tumor in her stomach. Lincolnshire is about 110 miles north of London.
But there were complications during the lengthy procedure and despite the best efforts of doctors, she passed away.
Mom Emma Walsh, 37, says she never got the chance to properly say goodbye.
“We didn’t realize just how ill Ellie was,” she said. “She had tummy pains for a few years and then about five weeks ago, a scan showed she had a tumor.”
“We have been going to the doctors since 2014 as she has lost a lot of weight and had bad pains in her side, but it was always passed off and she was given Paracetamol [acetaminophen].”
“She died during the operation, but before she went in [for the operation], I told her I loved her and that I would see her later.”
“When they told me, I was in shock and my head went into a spin. You could see they were upset, but they did all they could.”
“I wouldn’t wish that on anybody, though.”
She had just embarked on her career, having just been hired as a receptionist after impressing as an apprentice at law firm Burton and Co.
But while her death has come as a surprise, her mom has taken comfort from the fact that the pair got to spend a final Christmas together and that her baby girl was able to live a normal life right until the end.
“It is a shock,” she added. “Ellie was out on Christmas Eve with her friends.”
“She was quite a private person and had a small group of friends, but they have stuck by her all the way through school.”
“They loved partying and even though Ellie was usually quiet, she would talk to anyone on a night out.”
“I am taking comfort from the fact Ellie got to do all the things she wanted to do as had she had known, she wouldn’t have enjoyed herself as much.”
The distraught mom has since learned that the growth in her daughter’s stomach was likely cancer and even if the operation had been a success, Ellie would have still most likely only had a few months left to live.
And she is glad that people will be able to remember her daughter for the bright and smiley girl she was.
“Ellie was so kind and funny,” she said. “She was a great sister and daughter.”
“She had a great sense of humor but was so brave. I will miss her forever.”
Tributes have appeared online since Ellie’s death was made public and her mom said that has really helped the family during a difficult time.
“I want to say thanks to everyone who has got in touch,” she added. “The nice things said about Ellie have been a real comfort.”
“Both Lincoln and Sheffield hospitals were great as well.”
Mary-Anne McNulty also paid a heartfelt tribute to her best friend of 14 years.
She said: “I went to primary school with Ellie and we started secondary school together until she left to go to LSST, but we still remained as close as ever.”
“Ellie was a kind, generous, beautiful and funny young girl. She will always remain my best friend and she will never be forgotten.”
An exact cause of death has yet to be determined.

Passenger Accused of Sexually Assaulting Sleeping Woman on Spirit Flight Out of Las Vegas
Investigators arrested a man they say unbuttoned the shirt and pants of a sleeping female passenger and put his hand down her pants during a flight, according to a criminal complaint filed in federal court.
Prabhu Ramamoorthy faces a charge of aggravated sexual abuse after a 22-year-old woman accused him of assaulting her on a Spirit Airlines flight from Las Vegas to Detroit on Wednesday morning.
The case is just one alleged example of what some women have said is a hidden reality of commercial air travel. Though it’s difficult to track how frequently assaults occur on flights, FBI investigations into midair sexual assaults have increased by 66% from fiscal year 2014 to 2017.
The federal public defender’s office declined to comment on the Ramamoorthy case. Richard O’Neill, Ramamoorthy’s appointed attorney, did not immediately respond to CNN’s request for comment.
A detention hearing was held Thursday. According to the Detroit News, O’Neill said, “I have a hard time with some of these allegations but that’s what a trial is for. There have been no allegations from anywhere that his behavior has ever been inappropriate prior to this incident.”
The woman said she fell asleep leaning against the window, the complaint states. She woke up to a hand down her pants and noticed that her pants and her shirt were unbuttoned and the passenger next to her was fondling her, according to the complaint.
The passenger stopped when she woke up, and she immediately reported the incident to a flight attendant, the complaint states. Two flight attendants told investigators that the woman was visibly upset and was crying, the complaint states.
Ramamoorthy was taken into custody when the flight landed. He said in a written statement that he was in “deep sleep,” the complaint states. He also said that the woman fell asleep on his knees and he is “not sure where [he] kept the hand on her.”
“Through my knowledge I didn’t [sic] anything to her,” Ramamoorthy said, according to the complaint.
He gave a further statement in an interview with an FBI agent, saying that he “might have” undone the woman’s bra while playing with it, and that he had cupped her breasts over her clothes, the complaint states. He indicated that he unzipped her pants part way and put his finger into her pants and tried to fondle her, the complaint states.
Ramamoorthy was ordered detained pending trial, based on the evidence against him and because he has significant family or ties outside the US, according to court documents.
Spirit Airlines said it is fully cooperating with law enforcement and referred questions to them.

HIV-Positive School Aide in Maryland Accused of Abusing 42 Boys Pleads Guilty
An HIV-positive former Maryland school aide and track coach pleaded guilty Friday to sexually abusing students and filming child pornography, prosecutors said.
“You really can’t imagine what had to be gone through when investigating this case,” he said, alluding to the hours of video in the case that “nobody ever wants to see.”Carlos Deangelo Bell, 30, of Waldorf, signed a plea agreement admitting guilt on 27 counts, including sexual abuse of a minor, porn charges and attempted transmission of HIV, the state’s attorney for Charles County, Tony Covington, said.
Covington said one of his goals was maintaining the privacy and anonymity of the victims in the case, something made easier by avoiding a trial that would have been open to the public.
The charges cover conduct that spanned from May 2015 to June 2017, and the 42 victims range from 11 to 17 years old, Covington said.
Bell, who was originally facing 206 counts, will be sentenced March 28. Prosecutors said they will recommend up to 190 years in prison. Covington said another of his goals was to make sure that Bell spends the rest of his life in prison.
Bell also faces federal charges and is due in court again later this month.
“Based upon the evidence that the state presented it was is in his best interest to enter into this negotiated guilty plea,” defense attorney James Crawford said, adding Bell would also plead guilty in federal court.
Covington said investigators are not aware of any victim testing positive for HIV, or human immunodeficiency virus. HIV is a virus that can destroy the immune system if left untreated.
After a six-month investigation, Bell was arrested June 30 on charges of assaulting at least seven boys, mostly of middle school age, Charles County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Diane Richardson said at the time.
He was removed from his jobs as an instructional assistant at Benjamin Stoddert Middle School and as a track coach at La Plata High School late in 2016 when the investigation began. He began working for the school system in 2014.
Charles County Schools Superintendent Kimberly A. Hill applauded the plea deal and said, “Since learning of the charges against Mr. Bell we have focused on supporting the students affected.”
She said school district staff members were also getting additional training.
“We are taking every precaution that we can to make sure our employees are aware of the signs” of sexual abuse, she said.
Man confesses to killing neighbor for clearing snow from his driveway
A Michigan man charged with murdering his neighbor confessed to killing the woman after seeing her blowing snow out of his driveway, court records show.
Wendell Earl Popejoy, 63, of Ottawa County, confessed to shooting his neighbor, Sheila Bonge, 59, according to court documents obtained by the Grand Haven Tribune. Popejoy, who had no prior criminal record, told Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office Detective Anne Koster that he “made the decision” to kill the woman after seeing Bonge outside on Dec. 26, blowing snow from the easement driveway in front of his home in the 14000 block of 104th Avenue.
“Wendell stated that he had made the decision when he saw Sheila to kill her,” Koster said during a hearing Sunday, according to a court transcript. “He then grabbed a gun from his home. He went out to the easement where Sheila was blowing the snow. Wendell stated that he went up behind Sheila and shot her in the back of the head and disposed of her body behind his residence.”
Police found Bonge’s body two days later. She had been reported missing by relatives earlier that week after last being seen on Dec. 24 at her home, MLive.com reports. Popejoy was arrested on Dec. 29 and was arraigned Tuesday in Grand Haven District Court on charges of open murder and using a firearm in commission of a felony.
Details of the relationship between Bonge and Popejoy are unclear, but a friend of Bonge’s told WZZM that she had ongoing disputes with several neighbors. One of the woman’s neighbors — not Popejoy — unsuccessfully sought a protection order against Bonge and her fiancé, according to court documents obtained by the station. The order, pertaining to a disagreement regarding Bonge’s use of an easement, was not granted, however.
Deputies from the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office had been called to the neighborhood more than five times recently for disputes between neighbors, WOOD reports.
Bonge’s family, meanwhile, said they’re still “in shock due to the heinous nature” of the crime, according to a statement released to the station.
“We are deeply saddened by the fact that there is nothing we or anyone can do to bring our mother back,” according to the statement. “She was loved dearly by so many for her sweet and caring nature. She was selfishly and brutally taken from us far too soon. We have no other choice but to put our faith in the justice system.”
An online fundraiser has been established in Bonge’s memory and to help offset funeral expenses.
“She was suddenly taken away from her family in such a cruel senseless way,” according to the website. “She was a mother, a grandma, a great-grandma, aunt, and a sister. She was loved very much and will be deeply missed.”
Popejoy remains held without bail at the Ottawa County Jail, records show. He’s due to return to court for a probable cause conference Jan. 10, according to Grand Haven Tribune.
