Kanye West’s Pro-Republican ‘Blexit’ T-Shirts Call for Black Exodus From Democratic Party

News & Info, Uncategorized

Article via

If you’re a black person who likes hanging out with racists, you have some new fashion choices that don’t include pairing running shoes with Dockers, All Lives Matter haircuts or tucking a polo shirt into your jeans. Kanye West lent his creative skills to Candace Owen when he designed a T-shirt line for the conservative negro darling’s new website dedicated to luring black people away from the Democratic Party and into the arms of the party of white supremacists.

This weekend, Turning Points USA, the conservative organization that employs 29-year-old Candace Owens as its director of communications, held a conference for young, black conservatives who don’t mind Trump, the Republican Party or white people asking to touch their hair. The far-right youth organization is known for its conservatism, and by “conservatism,” I mean anti-blackness. Aside from it’s advocacy in the area of bootstrap-pulling, the site is known for hiring white supremacists like Crystal Clanton, who once texted a fellow TPUSA employee: “I HATE BLACK PEOPLE. Like fuck them all . . . I hate blacks. End of story.”

At the Young Black Leaders Summit, instead of lip balm (Why do black conservatives’ lips always look like they just finished eating powdered doughnuts? Is Chapstick owned by leftists?), Candace Owens handed out T-shirts that were reportedly designed by MAGA Kanye, Page Six reports.

The shirt features the words “Blexit” emblazoned across the front or alternately, “we free.” Blexit just happens to be Candace Owen’s new website that seeks to draw black people away from the antiquated thinking of the Democratic Party by opening their minds with testimonials from MAGA Negroes and reminding everyone that Republicans aren’t racist because Lincoln freed the slaves and Kanye hugged Donald Trump.

“Blexit is a renaissance and I am blessed to say that this logo, these colors, were created by my dear friend and fellow superhero Kanye West,” said Candace “Omarosa Jr.” Owens, who would likely stab Kanye in the jugular vein with a shard from a burned KKK cross if she thought it would garner her more adoration from the whites, adding that Yeezy “has taken one of the boldest steps in America to open a conversation we have needed to have.”

West did not comment on the shirt as cellular reception is very spotty in the Sunken Place.

Alabama McDonald’s gunman killed by armed dad, who is injured in shootout

News & Info

A brave dad armed with a pistol stopped what could have been a mass shooting Saturday inside an Alabama McDonald’s when he took down a masked gunman who had stormed in and opened fire.

The unidentified father was leaving the establishment with his sons when a masked man walked into the Birmingham fast-food restaurant and started shooting, WBRC-TV reported. The father returned fire and, during the ensuing shootout, the gunman, the father and one of the man’s teenage sons were struck, according to the station.

The gunman, who was not identified, later died of his injuries. The other two injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Markus Washington, one of the McDonald’s employees, told WBRC-TV he was making two quarter-pounders when bullets started to fly. Washington said he ran into the freezer, where he heard about 15 shots fired.

“I’m feeling grateful,” he told the station. “Wrapping my head around it all, I was just wishing someone would come wake me up from this nightmare.”

Washington, oblivious to the shootout taking place outside the freezer door, feared the worst.

“All we hear is like different gunfire, so in my mind, I’m imagining everybody is dead. He’s looking for us,” he said. Washington added he was thankful the armed customer was there.

“Wrapping my head around it all, I was just wishing someone would come wake me up from this nightmare.”

— Markus Washington, McDonald’s employee

“He’s my hero. Because I can only imagine how it would’ve went if he wasn’t armed. We might not be here having this interview,” Washington said.

The father is not expected to face charges, police said.

Authorities are now working to determine if the gunman intended to rob the restaurant, was targeting an employee or planned something more nefarious.

“Things like this are difficult for both families. The gentleman who unfortunately lost his life, the teenage boy who is in the hospital recovering from his injuries and the father who is also recovering from his injuries,” Birmingham police spokesman Sgt. Bryan Shelton said, according to WVTM-13. “It’s not easy being a father and watching your child get injured, get hurt like that. It’s a really heartwrenching experience.”

Gab, the social network used by accused Pittsburgh synagogue shooter, goes offline

News & Info

A neighbor of Robert Bowers, charged in Saturday’s deadly synagogue shooting in Pittsburgh, says he had a habit of watching TV late at night, but seemed like an “average 50-year-old dude.” (Oct 28) AP

Gab, the social network scrutinized following the shooting at a Pittsburgh synagogue that left 11 dead, went offline as service providers suspended accounts and threatened to shut the website down.

A message on Gab.com said the website would not be accessible for a period of time as the site shifts to a new hosting provider.

In a statement, hosting provider GoDaddy confirmed it has given Gab 24 hours to switch providers after claiming the website violated its terms of service.

“GoDaddy investigated and discovered numerous instances of content on the site that both promotes and encourages violence against people,” read a statement from GoDaddy.

Medium, an online publishing tool, suspended Gab’s account, which was used to release statements including one right after the synagogue attack on Saturday.

In a statement posted on Gab, CEO Andrew Torba said it will fight to stay online in the wake of the Pittsburgh attack.

“We have plenty of options, resources, and support,” said Torba. “We will exercise every possible avenue to keep Gab online and defend free speech and individual liberty for all people.”

The accused Pittsburgh shooter, Robert Bowers, appeared to have an account on Gab where he posted multiple anti-Semitic messages.

“I can’t sit by an watch my people get slaughtered. Screw your optics. I’m going in,” read a post on the account right before the shooting.

Gab launched in 2016, and was favored by users involved in the “alt-right” movement following crackdowns by Twitter that took place as the social network said it was getting tougher on hate speech.

Although Gab has rules against calling for acts of violence or making threats, the service has more relaxed rules on what to post, allowing for such content as anti-Semitic rants or conspiracy theories. Earlier this year, Microsoft threatened to pull its hosting service following two anti-Semitic posts on Gab, reported The Verge. Those posts were removed.

PayPal confirmed it suspended its accounts, while payment processor Stripe and hosting provider Joyent shut down Gab accounts. In a statement, Stripe said it can’t comment on individual accounts. Joyent could not be immediately reached for comment.

In a series of tweets, Gab is calling the efforts to shut down its service “corporate censorship.”

“If they can remove Gab.com from the internet, don’t think they can’t do it to you,” said Gab.

During an interview with NPR, Torba defended the service, saying despite the takedowns, Gab is here to stay.

“The answer to bad speech or hate speech – however you want to define that – is always more speech, and it always will be,” said Torba.

Transgender fight could prove major test for Supreme Court

Health, News & Info

The fight over civil rights protections for transgender people could prove to be a major test for the Supreme Court, particularly its conservative wing, as justices weigh whether to take up the issue this term.

The court has a request before it to hear a case challenging whether civil rights laws that prohibit discrimination on the basis of sex in employment extend to transgender workers.

It’s a dispute that may have a significant impact on the Trump administration’s reported plans to exclude federal protections for transgender people by narrowly defining gender.

The New York Time reported last week that the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is leading an effort to write a rule that defines gender as a biological, immutable condition determined by genitalia at birth, a move that would affect civil rights laws banning gender discrimination in education programs that receive federal funding.

While the pending case before the justices deals with civil rights in the workplace, experts say a Supreme Court ruling could very well affect the administration’s planned gender rule.

“If the Supreme Court took it and held what the majority of courts are holding — that sex discrimination includes transgender people — the administration would be hard pressed to go ahead with that rule,” said Diana Flynn, litigation director at Lambda Legal, a group that advocates for LGBT rights.

Several federal statutes prohibit sex discrimination in employment, education and health care, and legal analysts say each one has the same underlying language and concept.

“Courts tend very strongly to read them together,” said Harper Jean Tobin, director of policy at the National Center for Transgender Equality. “A ruling under one law would be very likely to impact other laws.”

The case pending before the Supreme Court centers on Aimee Stephens, a transgender woman who alleges she was fired from her job as a funeral director and embalmer after she told her employer she would begin living and working openly as a woman.

Ruling in her favor, the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals said discrimination against employees, either because of their failure to conform to sex stereotypes or their transgender and transitioning status, is illegal under Title VII — the law that bans discrimination based on sex in employment.

The American Civil Liberties Union, which is representing Stephens, says there’s no need for the Supreme Court to take the case because the majority of courts have issued rulings in line with the 6th Circuit.

“The Seventh, Ninth, and Eleventh Circuits agree with the Sixth Circuit’s alternative holding for respondents that when a decision maker discriminates against someone for being transgender, that discrimination is inherently based on sex,” the ACLU argued in its brief.

If the justices decide to weigh in, it could challenge the ideals of conservatives on the bench like Justice Neil Gorsuch, a Trump appointee who prides himself on basing his decisions on the text of the law.

Transgender advocates say you can’t discriminate against someone who is transgender without thinking about their sex.

“I think it would hypocritical in the extreme for justices, who claim to be texturalists, to rule against Aimee Stephens,” said Tobin.

Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), which is representing the funeral home in its appeal, disagrees.

“The claim rests on a faulty premise,” said Jim Campbell, a senior counsel at ADF. “Title VII does not define sex and should be given its understanding of when it was defined in 1964.”

Back then, he said, sex referred to male or female based on biology and physiology.

ADF’s argument relies heavily on a 2007 ruling from the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, which said discrimination on the basis of transgender status is not a violation of Title VII.

The Department of Justice Department (DOJ) also argued in a brief last week that Title VII does not apply to discrimination against an individual based on his or her gender identity. DOJ said justices should first take up two other pending cases challenging whether anti-discrimination protections in Title VII extend to sexual orientation.

Transgender advocates say Stephens should prevail even if the justices take the case because the 6th Circuit ruled that the funeral home discriminated against Stephens based on a sex stereotype.

“Circuit courts have uniformly agreed that all people, including those who are transgender, may bring sex discrimination claims under Title VII if their employers discriminate against them because of sex stereotypes related to behavior and appearance,” ACLU argued.

There’s no guarantee the justices will agree to hear the dispute. Court watchers have said the justices may try to avoid weighing politically charged issues after the highly partisan confirmation fight over Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Chief Justice John Roberts stressed the importance of an independent judiciary in a speech earlier this month at the University of Minnesota Law School.

“Now the court has from time to time erred and erred greatly, but when it has it has been because the court yielded to political pressure,” he said.

ADF’s Campbell said Dec. 3 is the earliest the justices could announce a decision on whether to take up the Stephens case.

As for an administration rule narrowly defining sex, that could take several months at a minimum.

Under the federal rulemaking process, HHS would have to propose a rule, accept and review public comments and then issue a final regulation.

While advocacy groups like the Transgender Law Center have vowed to fight any rule that attempts to remove legal protections for transgender people, they will have to wait for a finalized rule before taking legal action.

Disturbing Video Shows Gun Pointed at Bullied Missouri Boy’s Head ; 3 in Custody

News & Info

A 17-old-year-old and two juveniles are in custody after a disturbing video circulating on Facebook of a boy being bullied prompted “numerous” calls to police in Independence, Missouri, according to KTLA sister station WDAF in Kansas City.

The video shows one person pointing a gun at a kneeling, juvenile victim, while another repeatedly orders, “kiss my feet.”

Later, the same person who gave the orders can be seen punching the boy in the face several times.

The victim’s mother told WDAF she noticed her 13-year-old son had bruises when he came home last Saturday, but didn’t begin to get answers until after her younger son showed her the video.

“I was hurt, I was angry, I was crying, I was mad,” she said. “It’s sad that other kids feel it’s OK to treat kids that way.”

According to the mother, the other boys also stole money from her son.

Independence police said Alexander Schader, 17, and the two juvenile suspects were taken into custody Tuesday afternoon. In Missouri, 17-year-olds are legally considered adults.

The department said they had received multiple calls from people about the incident.

An investigation is ongoing.

Suspect in Kroger shooting tried to enter black church before attack

News & Info

The gunman who fatally shot two people at a Kentucky Kroger supermarket this week may have intended to shoot up a predominately black church instead, according to a new report.

The new development supports the theory that the shooting may have been a racially motivated hate crime, WAVE 3 News reported.

Suspect Gregory Bush was captured on surveillance video trying to enter the First Baptist Church of Jeffersontown 15 minutes before the Kroger shooting, Jeffersontown Police Chief Sam Rogers told WAVE 3 News.

Had he arrived only an hour and 15 minutes earlier, he would have found 70 people getting ready to leave the church’s mid-week services, church administrator Billy Williams told the station.

Williams first spotted a man wearing similar clothing to Bush during a routine scan of the church’s security footage — and cops confirmed the attempted intruder was in fact Bush.

The FBI is investigating, though investigators would not speculate on a motive, according to the report.

But the son of a witness to the Kroger shooting told the outlet the suspect walked past his dad and said, “Whites don’t kill whites.”

The Louisville Urban League called for a hate crime investigation in a Facebook post.

“Because of the FB posts of the alleged perpetrator and the comments he made to a man in the parking lot of the grocery store, we thought it necessary to clearly state our desire and support for a hate crime investigation,” the statement said.

“We recognize that the alleged perpetrator may have had a mental inquest warrant filed previously, however his FB posts, his comments, and his visit to First Baptist Jeffersontown lead us to express our concern.”

The First Baptist congregation had been taking safety precautions after Dylann Roof opened fire, killing nine people — including a prominent pastor — at Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, SC.

“We have several members that are armed during our midweek service which is what we passed yesterday,” Williams told the station. “And we have people that are armed on Sunday as well.”

Mom drowned baby in tub because she ‘did not want to hear her son cry

News & Info

PHOENIX – Police have released new disturbing details in the death of a four-week-old Arizona baby after his 19-year-old mother was charged with first-degree murder.

According to the police report obtained by KPHO, while investigators were interviewing the mother, Jenna Folwell, her cell phone was searched with a warrant.

Detectives found searches for “ways to die instantly”, “missing babies cases”, “how long it takes babies to drown” and “reasons parents kill their babies” in her cellphone’s search history.

Chandler police say there were over 100 different searches on these types of topics.

Folwell had called police Wednesday afternoon while at Brooks Crossing Park near Alma School and Warner roads claiming that her baby had been kidnapped.

While police talked to Folwell, a search was conducted at her house where she lives with her father. Police said they found a black duffel bag with the dead baby inside.

Police asked Folwell about the searches found on her phone and she admitted to getting into the bathtub with her baby and then letting go of him. She said she chose this way because she “did not want to hear her son cry.”

Folwell told police her son was in the tub for about a minute, then she regretted her decision and got him out of the bathtub and attempted CPR. She said she then put her son in the duffel bag and drove to the park to report the kidnapping.

Police say the baby was found still wet inside the duffel bag between two blankets.

Folwell is being charged with first-degree murder.

The father of the baby, whose name has not been released, spoke out at Folwell’s initial court appearance.

“Rainer was a perfect baby and had such a happy and peaceful demeanor,” he said. “I will never get to have any firsts with my son. … She took away my life with Rainer the moment she took his life.”

The dad also said Folwell could have reached out to him and his family.

“We would have taken sole custody,” he said.

He also asked that she be held without bail.

“I want her to have a life without parole,” he said. “She can live every day knowing what she did to the poor innocent child.”

The judge set a $1 million cash-only bond for Folwell.

Texas man arrested for plan to murder, rape, and eat girl

News & Info

According to a probable cause affidavit, Alexander Nathan Barter, 21, was arrested after allegedly communicating with an undercover officer, KTRE reported.

The affidavit revealed that Barter posted on the dark web asking for anyone interesting in allowing him to commit necrophilia and cannibalism to contact him.

An undercover special agent with the Texas Department of Public Safety spotted the post and responded. KTRE said the agent offered up his “young daughter.”

According to the affidavit, Barter replied, “Nice! I’m in East Texas. How old is your daughter? Can we kill her?”

Several more emails were exchanged in which Barter allegedly created a plan to meet up with the “father and daughter.” According to the agent, Barter said he would take the girl to a hotel to kill, assault, and eat her.

“I’m not going to change my mind about this,” Barter wrote, according to the affidavit. “I really want to do this.”

KTRE reported that Barter was arrested outside his residence when he went to meet the undercover agent and his “daughter.” He had a plastic trash bag and knife with him, the affidavit said. He also admitted to being in contact with the undercover agent and making the statements attributed to him in the affidavit.

Barter was charged with criminal solicitation, criminal attempt capital murder, conspiracy to commit capital murder, and criminal attempt sexual performance of a child.

ShelbyCountyToday.com posted a statement from district attorney Stephen Shires:

“The dark web, and the individuals that operate there, pose an increasing threat to the safety of our children. Technology has eliminated the barrier of distance for these sorta of activities.”

“Hopefully, this will serve as a continued reminder that parents should always be vigilant and aware of what their children are doing on the internet. I hope it also gives folks some comfort to know that there are also good guys at work-highly trained, highly capable individuals protecting us.”

House majority leader deletes tweet saying Soros, Bloomberg, Steyer are trying to ‘buy’ election

News & Info

Washington (CNN) – House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy posted and later deleted a tweet last week that suggested three Jewish, billionaire Democratic donors were attempting to “buy” the 2018 midterm elections.

“We cannot allow Soros, Steyer, and Bloomberg to BUY this election! Get out and vote Republican November 6th. #MAGA,” McCarthy wrote in the tweet posted Tuesday and deleted a day later, a reference to top donors to Democratic causes George Soros and Tom Steyer and former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
Twitter users quickly condemned McCarthy’s claim, saying it was insensitive given the fact that it came just one day after authorities intercepted what appeared to be a pipe bomb sent to Soros’ New York home.
On Friday, a suspicious package addressed to Steyer, a hedge fund manager who is leading a campaign to impeach President Donald Trump, was discovered in Burlingame, California, making him one of more than a dozen prominent political figures and critics of the President who were the intended recipients of suspicious packages, some carrying pipe bombs, including former President Barack Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
McCarthy’s communications director, Matt Sparks, said in a statement to CNN that he also gave to The Washington Post last week that McCarthy “has and will always condemn in the strongest possible way violence or any acts of attempted violence.”
“Understanding the particular sensitivity of the past 24 hours in the political climate today that has led to specific threats on both sides of the aisle, we will redouble our focus on our agenda of results,” he said.
Authorities believe the packages were sent by Cesar Sayoc, a 56-year-old Florida man who was charged on Friday with five federal crimes, including illegal mailing of explosives, threats against former presidents and others, and assaulting current and former federal officers.
Soros, a billionaire investor and philanthropist, is a frequent target of right-wing criticism over his support for liberal causes, and both Steyer and Bloomberg have been politically active of late.
In response to the discovery of a suspicious package addressed to him, Steyer called for Trump’s impeachment.
In a tweet, Steyer wrote: “We’re thankful that everyone we work with is safe. We are seeing a systematic attack on our democracy that extends much further than just one isolated terrorist in Florida. That’s why we are running an impeachment petition to end the culture of lawlessness in our country.”
Steyer has financed a high-profile campaign for the President’s impeachment, using a series of national ad campaigns and town halls through his “Need to Impeach” organization to push his message. He had also pledged to spend up to $120 million in the 2018 midterms.
Bloomberg, who has been flirting with a potential run for president in 2020, has been making sizable donations to Democrats in an effort to help candidates around the country.
In early October, he announced that he was donating $20 million to a PAC that aims to flip the Senate. And earlier this year, he pledged to spend $80 million on Democratic congressional candidates. Last week, he put up another $10 million for ads for Democratic candidates in a last-minute effort to support the party ahead of next week’s midterm elections.
McCarthy’s tweet came days before a man opened fire at a synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, killing 11 people and injuring six others, including four police officers.
The alleged shooter, 46-year-old Robert Bowers, of Baldwin, Pennsylvania, surrendered to authorities after the Saturday morning shooting at the Tree of Life synagogue. He made anti-Semitic statements during and after the shooting, and targeted Jews on social media, according to a federal law enforcement official.
Responding to the shooting on his Twitter account Saturday afternoon, McCarthy called the attack “heinous” and said that it was “perpetrated by anti-Semitism and hate.”
“May God’s grace be with the victims and their families,” he wrote.
During a Sunday interview on “Meet the Press,” host Chuck Todd asked Ohio Rep. Steve Stivers, the chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee, about an ad that the House GOP campaign arm aired in Minnesota attempting to tie Soros to Dan Feehan, a Democratic House candidate in the state.
One ad, released before the device sent to Soros was discovered, links an employer of Feehan’s to Soros by claiming he helped fund it and therefore Feehan.
Stivers defended the ad, calling it “factual.”
“Our independent expenditure arm is independent. But that ad is factual. And it also has nothing to do with calling for violence. That ad is a factual ad,” he told host Chuck Todd.
Asked on Sunday about McCarthy’s tweet on Soros, Steyer and Bloomberg, California Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff, who is Jewish, told CNN’s Jake Tapper on “State of the Union” that he wasn’t sure what to make of it, but added that he thought the attacks on Soros in particular are driven by his Jewish faith.
“There are a lot of people (who) are generous to the Democratic Party,” Schiff said. “The fact that he’s become a symbol is not an accident. The fact that they’re promulgating this falsehood that he’s funding the caravan is an effort to give rebirth to this blood libel, that Jews are bringing impurity to the country, they’re bringing other people to dilute the purity of the country.
“It’s an ancient hatred,” he continued. “And it’s no accident that they have made George Soros the symbol of this. And you do see people, from the President on down, playing on this, candidates around the country playing on this.”
Schiff added that anti-Semitic incidents rose sharply last year, citing figures from the Anti-Defamation League.
“(That) doesn’t happen of its own. It happens because it’s fed. And what will be necessary to overcome it is what the mayor was talking about,” Schiff said, referring to Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto’s plea for unity at a Sunday morning news conference on the mass shooting. “And that is, these are still a minority of repugnant voices, and they have to be drowned out by our common goodness.”
Steyer said in an interview on the same program that he interpreted McCarthy’s statement as “a straight-up anti-Semitic move. I think that that is a classic attempt to separate Americans. I think that absolutely falls into the category of what I’m describing as political violence. And I believe that what we are looking for in America is something completely different from that.”

CNN’s Ashley Killough and Steve Brusk contributed to this report.
