Florida teacher accused of having sex with teen ‘several hundred times’
A Florida special education teacher was arrested Monday after allegedly having sex with her son’s 15-year-old friend “several hundred times” beginning last year, a report said.
Susan Weddle, 40, and the teen allegedly kicked off their relationship at the woman’s Cantonment home after the two attended her son’s football game and started drinking, according to the Pensacola News Journal, citing an arrest report.
The teen said once he was drunk, he convinced Weddle to have sex with him — even though she told him she knew it was wrong, the report said.
From there, the pair then allegedly had a sexual relationship that lasted more than a year with dalliances at her house, his home, in her car and at the beach.
“Weddle was his first and only sexual partner, and he believed himself to be in love with her,” the arrest report said.
Weddle on Monday resigned from the J.E. Hall Center, where she helped train other teachers as a learning resource specialist, Escambia County School District Superintendent Malcolm Thomas told the paper.
She worked there for 11 months. Before that position, she was a teacher at L.D. McArthur Elementary School, the report said.
Several witnesses came forward to report the pair’s relationship, and in November a high school guidance counselor tipped off the Department of Children and Families.
That witness alerted the counselor about discovering damning text messages between the teen and Weddle.
Another witness, who was hired to pressure wash Weddle’s home in April, alerted the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office that he saw the two kissing.
The witnesses also told authorities the teen showed him nude photos of Weddle on his phone, according to the arrest report.
Weddle allegedly gifted the teen with an iPhone, necklace, bracelet and other gifts during the relationship.

Florida man left son at side of highway because he might be gay
A Florida father left his juvenile son on the side of the road because he thinks his son might be gay, according to police.
Evenaud Julmeus, 30, of Haines City, Fla., dropped the boy off in front of a closed police department, according to an affidavit, which stated that the child had a small duffel bag with several articles of clothing in it but did not have any food, water or money. The boy also did not have a phone with him, police said.
Julmeus told his son, whose age was redacted in the affidavit, to pack a duffel bag after he allegedly found male pornography videos on his cellphone, according to what the affidavit said the victim told police. Court records said Julmeus “became very upset” after he found the videos.
Haines City police told Fox News the boy is a pre-teen.
A bystander who witnessed the event called police. An officer dispatched to the location said the victim was very upset and crying, according to court records.
The victim told police that his father told him to pack a bag and that he was taking him to the police department where they would find him a new home, court records said.
Julmeus made his son get out of the vehicle while sitting in a turn lane on a Florida highway and then drove off, according to court records, which added that his father did not try to contact law enforcement to tell them he had dropped off his son.
After learning about what had happened, the boy’s mother went to go look for him at the police station, leaving her other two young children with Julmeus, the affidavit said.
Julmeus had fled the home before police arrived, leaving the two children alone, according to court records.
Julmeus left his juvenile son at “a closed police department with no one around, failing or omitting to provide the victim with care, supervision and services necessary to maintain physical or mental health while also failing to make a reasonable effort to protect the victim from abuse, neglect or exploitation of others,” the affidavit said.
He also allegedly neglected his two other children by leaving them alone at their home with no adult supervision or care, court records added.
Julmeus has been charged with three counts of negligent child abuse without bodily harm and turned himself in, police said, adding that he is still in custody.

Manhattan couple turned on by the sights, sounds and smells of New York’s least romantic locale had sex in two subway stations on the same day
The pair turned Grand Central into glans central during the climax of the evening rush around 6:40 p.m. Nov. 22 — mere hours after a similar incident at the line’s Bowling Green station, sources said.
A graphic 38-second video, shot from inside a train at the bustling Midtown Manhattan station, opens with the rail-riding Romeo locked in a passionate embrace with his lover on the grimy 4/5/6-train platform.
An apparently stunned silence fills the car during the video, broken only by a pre-recorded “Stand clear of the closing doors” announcement — right as the man appears to perform oral sex on his partner.
The couple was spotted performing sex acts on each other along the Lower Manhattan platform around 9:30 a.m., according to police.
Investigators released a photo of the man in that incident, though the woman wasn’t caught on camera.
Authorities are looking to catch up to the randy duo.

Brother of man killed by cop gets award for hugging her
PLANO, Texas — The brother of a man killed by a Dallas police officer has accepted an award from a law enforcement organization for hugging the officer after she was convicted of murder.
The Institute for Law Enforcement Administration gave 18-year-old Brandt Jean the award Tuesday for his “display of empathy and forgiveness” toward Amber Guyger.
In October, Brandt embraced Guyger in court after she was sentenced to a decade in prison for shooting Botham Jean in his apartment last year. Guyger, 31, said she mistook Jean’s home for her own and thought the 26-year-old was an intruder.
Gregory Smith, director of the Dallas-area institute, said Brandt’s actions helped the community heal.
Brandt said at the ceremony that it was hard to accept an award from a police training group because he believes a lack of training lead to his brother’s death.

A woman who was cleaning a Fontana area church stabbed two people who tried to stop her after she started attacking another woman Friday, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release.
Destinee Watson, 23, was at the kitchen area of Pentecostal Church of God in Bloomington when she felt “disrespected by one of the church employees,” grabbed a woman and started repeatedly punching her in the head, authorities said Monday.

Tied-up Toddler With Plastic Bag Over His Head Rescued From Burning Santa Paula Home; Mom Arrested
A woman was arrested after allegedly putting a plastic bag over her 3-year-old son’s head and tying him up as their Santa Paula home burned over the weekend, police said Monday.
Firefighters initially found the woman tied to a bed when they responded to a structure fire at a home on Bahia Circle about 6:10 p.m. Sunday, according to the Santa Paula Police Department.
While extinguishing the blaze in the downstairs living room, crews discovered the toddler alone in another bedroom. The boy had a plastic bag over his head and his hands were bound, a police news release stated.
Firefighters rescued the mother and child, and transported both to a local hospital where they received treatment for smoke inhalation.
After the blaze was put out, detectives and arson investigators were dispatched to the scene.
Police interviewed the woman, 47-year-old Maricela Magana Ruiz, and then arrested her. They determined Ruiz had placed the bag over the child’s head and tied his hands before situating him in the bedroom by himself, according to the release.
She was booked on suspicion of felony child endangerment and is being held at the Ventura County Jail on $50,000 bail.
A motive was not immediately known. Investigators are also trying to determine if the blaze was intentionally set.
Police have not released any additional information.

Wisconsin student shot by officer after allegedly bringing gun to school
WAUKESHA, Wis. — A Wisconsin high school is “safe and secure” after a student was shot by an officer for pointing a gun at law enforcement, police say.
Authorities said that a student at Waukesha South High School notified administrators after hearing that a student was in possession of a handgun at school.
“The school’s Resource Officer immediately responded to the classroom, the SRO made efforts to secure the classroom by getting the other students to safety,” said Waukesha Police Chief Russell Jack.
Other officers responded to the classroom and began talking with the suspect in an attempt to deescalate the situation. The 17-year-old student would not remove his hands from his pocket and continued to ignore officer’s commands, authorities said.
Eventually, police say the officer was forced to fire at the student when he would not remove his hands from his pocket.
“This is an isolated incident. We are not seeking anybody else we have no other persons of interest. We are in the investigative stage right now as the scene is stabilized,” police said on Twitter.
The student was taken to a local hospital with injuries, according to the Waukesha Police Department.
Students were dismissed for the day at 11:15 a.m., according to a statement from the school’s principal.
A 9th-grader at the school said he and his friends “thought it was just a drill.”
“We thought it was just a drill at the beginning,” the student said. “We were in there for like a whole hour.”
An emotional mother described the moment she saw her son safe “like giving birth all over again.”

14-year-old boy accused of shooting sister, killing her boyfriend
KATY, Texas (AP) — Authorities say a 14-year-old boy shot and wounded his older sister and killed her boyfriend during “a house party gone bad” in a Houston suburb.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez says on Twitter that the boy shot his 18-year-old sister and her 20-year-old boyfriend with a shotgun at a home in Katy around 11:40 p.m. Saturday.
Gonzalez says there had been a “disturbance” between the boy and his sister’s boyfriend, and that there were about 10 young adults in the home at the time.
He says the 14-year-old was detained but isn’t in custody. Investigators will refer their findings to a juvenile prosecutor.
The sister is in stable condition at a hospital. Her boyfriend was declared dead at the scene.
The sheriff’s department hasn’t responded to requests for comment Sunday.
