Man shoots woman with BB gun after she accidentally removed his pro-Trump yard sign
(WSOC/CNN/Meredith) – A North Carolina man is facing charges for shooting a woman in the arm with a BB gun after she removed his President Donald Trump campaign sign from his yard.
Peggy Fox was visiting her brother’s home in Lincolnton. When she arrived, she saw a Trump sign in what she thought was her brother’s yard. She assumed it was a prank, since her brother doesn’t express his political views, she said. Thinking it was a prank, she pulled the sign from the yard.
That’s when Fox was shot with a BB gun, with the pellet lodged in her arm close to the bone.
“It was very frightening, extremely frightening,” Fox said. “Excruciating pain.”
Worth McAllister, 76, admitted to WSOC that he shot Fox with a BB gun, which he said he also uses on stray cats in his yard.Discover a total, connected care experience.Discover a total, connected approach to your health. McAllister claims he first yelled at Fox to stop taking his yard sign before he fired the gun. Fox said, however, that McAllister gave no such warning.
Fox said she would have put the sign back if McAllister had told her it was his. Fox insists she has no objection to the sign itself, she just knew it couldn’t be her brother’s and thought it was on his property.
After the shooting, McAllister told Fox he believed it was his right to shoot her with the BB gun and encouraged her to call police. She did call police, and McAllister was charged with misdemeanor assault inflicting serious injury.
“He actually believed that he could shoot me if I was on his property, and to me that’s terrifying,” Fox said. “I think it speaks to the political divisions, and it’s really sad.”
McAllister is due in court Nov. 5.

Illinois teens robbed at gunpoint at lemonade stand, police help replenish funds
Two Illinois teenagers who were running a lemonade stand were robbed at gunpoint, and local police stepped in to replenish the stolen funds.
Earlier this month Jude Peterson and his friend Tristan Charbonnel, both 13, set up a lemonade stand in Peterson’s Peoria neighborhood when police said two people, one of which had a gun, robbed the stand and the incident was reportedly caught by a neighbor’s surveillance camera.
Charbonnel told “Fox & Friends Weekend” on Sunday that “last week two boys came up with a gun and took all the money.”
“It was really surprising, but there wasn’t really time to be scared,” he continued.
Peterson and Charbonnel were not injured and the thieves took off with the cash box, which contained about $30, the Peoria Journal-Star reported.
Peterson’s father Nathan told the news outlet that Peoria police officers who showed up to the scene “were buying $20 lemonades, which was really kind of them.”
“They were super-gentle with the kids and really seemed to care,” he added.
When people in the neighborhood learned of what had happened, they reportedly stopped by the lemonade stand to donate money and items, including candy and potato chips, to sell.
Chief Loren Marion with the Peoria Police Department told “Fox & Friends Weekend” on Sunday that the community policing sergeant with his department “came up with the idea after the incident happened to do a fund-raiser for the kids.”
Marion said he sent out an email to the department and said, “‘Hey, we would like to try to replace the money with these kids and encourage them.’ And it took off from there.”
“There were so many people helping us out,” Charbonnel said on Sunday.
Marion said on Sunday that detectives assigned to the case are “making progress” and he believes they will make an arrest.

BLM mob beats white man unconscious after making him crash truck
A mob of Portland Black Lives Matter protesters forced a white man to crash his truck, then punched and kicked him unconscious, disturbing footage shows.
A series of clips on social media shows the victim being surrounded in his white Ford truck at 10.30 p.m. Sunday as others attacked a woman he was with, who was punched and even tackled to the ground during the violent melee.
“He didn’t do nothing!” someone could be heard calling as others punched the driver as he sat in his truck, which was also repeatedly kicked.
The unidentified driver eventually sped off, with the mob chasing him — with some heard loudly laughing when he crashed into a tree and then a building, according to the clips.
He was dragged from the truck and tackled to the ground as he begged for help — getting repeatedly punched as he tried to call his wife while pleading with his attackers as he sat on the ground, the videos show.
“I ain’t tryna hurt no one,” he told them, with the only unexplained accusation heard in the clips being that “COVID is real.”
“I was trying to get out the way,” he insisted of crashing his truck, as several of the group punched him in the face and repeatedly called the white driver the N-word.
As the mob dispersed to watch another fight, the main offender circled back around — kicking the defenseless driver in the face from behind, instantly knocking him out with his head cracking on the road.
“What the f–k is you talkin’ about n—er!” the attacker — wearing a shirt with “SECURITY” on the front and back — screamed after the thud of his victim’s head hitting the ground.
The victim was then shown bleeding from a large wound in the back of his head as he appeared unconscious throughout another almost 2½-minute clip. The woman was shown sobbing nearby as the mob held her back and appeared to rifle through his truck.
“Black live matter, n—er!” one man continually ranted as other people checked the victim was still alive. Even as he remained unconscious, a woman was heard taunting him, “Get your b-tch ass up!”
Police in riot gear had to assist ambulance crews helping him as they were confronted by “a hostile crowd,” Portland police said in a release.
The victim was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, police said. “The incident is under investigation and no arrests have been made,” the force said.
It was unclear what sparked the confrontation, but some witnesses tweeted that he had tried to intervene in an altercation between the mob and another person.
Police said that “protesters were chasing the truck before it crashed, and they assaulted the driver after the crash.”
Kalen D’Almeida, the co-founder of Scriberr News, who shared one of the videos. tweeted: “A man accused of trying to run over protesters crashed his vehicle. BLM & Antifa militants then pull him from the car and violently assault him.”
He claimed that it was “specifically a militant #BLM group that left the #BLM protest to intentionally incite violence tonight.”
The incident came days after Seattle BLM members marched through gentrified neighborhoods and demanded white people give up their homes.
And it came a day after Portland officials once again declared a riot as mobs once again brought violence while claiming to protest the death of George Floyd, as they have done nightly for almost two months.
Two cops were hospitalized overnight Saturday after protesters hurled a 10-pound rock at them during the 79th night of clashes in the City of Roses, according to reports.

Oklahoma high school student ‘knowingly’ went to school having COVID-19
An Oklahoma high school student went to school despite “knowingly” being infected with the coronavirus.
The Moore Public Schools district in Oklahoma City sent a letter to parents on Friday notifying them that it had learned of the student’s health condition on Thursday night, News9 reported.
The unidentified student attends Westmoore High School.
District nurses completed contact tracing and contacted staff, students and parents who may have been in close contact with the infected pupil.
The building and classrooms were deep cleaned and disinfected, the district said.
A preliminary investigation found that the student’s parents were allegedly mistaken about the student’s end-of-quarantine date.
Last week, Oklahoma recorded 4,702 new cases of COVID-19, for a total of 46,103 confirmed cases, according to the state’s Department of Health website.

Seattle cop tells BLM protester he’s quitting force: ‘You guys won!’
A Seattle cop was caught in a viral video announcing that he was quitting the force because of the Black Lives Matter protests — telling a demonstrator: “I’m leaving. You guys won!”
“Having a good day, bud?” the officer asks the man from the passenger side window after pulling up in his patrol car.
“Not really, you’re around,” the activist replies.
“I’m sorry for that, but don’t worry, man, because guess what? I’m leaving. You guys won! Two months, baby. I’m out!” the officer says.
The incredulous protester asks, “You about to resign?”
“I’m f—— gone, bro,” the unnamed officer replies, adding that he feels “great” about his decision.
“So, what, you’re just tired of police brutality or are you tired of what’s going on right now?” asks the man, who also asks for an interview, which the cop declines and says he’s quitting because of the protesters — not in solidarity with them.
“Oh, us … why,” the man asks the cop, who gets out of the vehicle for a moment to deal with a disturbance.
“Hey, he said he’s tired of us! He’s gonna resign because of Black Lives Matter, not because he’s tired of the police!” the man yells toward his fellow protesters.
“Hey, you triggered, boy? You triggered? Oink, oink, oink, oink. F— you and your blue life, boy,” he then tells the officer, who appears to be ready to extend an olive branch.
“Nah, we ain’t never gonna be friends. We’ll never see eye to eye,” the man tells him. “I don’t give a f— if you take that badge off, you’ll never be my people. You’ll never be my friend.”
It was not immediately clear when and where the footage was shot, but it emerged days after Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best announced her resignation after the city council voted to cut as many as 100 officers from her department.
Roving gangs of Antifa rioters were caught on video Friday rampaging through the city’s streets, destroying property and painting graffiti — some carrying shields emblazoned with the slogan “F— the police.”
Two local activist groups have demanded that Mayor Jenny Durkan set aside $100 million for minority communities to explore alternative police models.
Some Black Lives Matter activists have demanded that white people surrender their homes in a historically black neighborhood and “open up your wallets” to fund protester demands.

Two arrested in 2002 slaying of Run-DMC’s Jam Master Jay
Two men have finally been arrested in the 2002 slaying of Run-DMC’s Jam Master Jay, law-enforcement sources told The Post on Monday.
“It was all over drugs,” said a former investigator who worked the case.
One of the men, Ronald Washington, had long been suspected of being involved in the hip-hop pioneer’s execution-style murder in his Queens studio, the source said.
Jay, 37, whose real name was Jason Mizell, was believed to have ponied up $15,000, while a pal put in another $15,000, to buy a total of 2 kilos of coke that the pair then planned to turn around and peddle.
Mizell was new to the drug world and just hoped to score a quick buck, sources told The Post around the time of his murder.
But intermediaries who were friends of Mizell instead allegedly took both the cash and drugs and split.
When the drug suppliers still demanded their dough, Mizell balked at paying any more, sources said.
“He said he got robbed, [too], and couldn’t pay them back,” the former prober said.
“After awhile, [the suppliers] said, ‘F–k it,’ and killed him,” the source said. “It looked like he had no way or intention of paying them, and they f–king shot him.
“It was always over drugs and money owed,” the source said. “They all knew each other.”
Mizell’s killers had been buzzed into his Jamaica studio that day because they were known from the neighborhood, the ex-investigator said.
There were three witnesses who saw them, the source said — although the witnesses were all reluctant to speak. One of them eventually identified Washington as one of the people buzzed in, but it wasn’t enough for an arrest at the time, the source said.
The name of the second suspect, Karl Jordan Jr., eventually also landed on investigators’ radar because he had a relative who was a drug dealer, the source said.
When the feds first took over the case, they thought the slaying was tied to a robbery team that had been targeting southeast Queens and Long Island, the source said.
But then it quickly became clear “it was always over drugs and money owed,” the source said.
Washington is already behind bars for robbery, while Jordan, 36, was nabbed Sunday, sources said.

8-year-old shot and killed while playing in her backyard in Ohio, suspect on the loose
(WJW/CNN/Meredith) – Police in Akron, Ohio are investigating a shooting that left an 8-year-old girl dead Friday night.
Police said there was a large gathering of teens outside the child’s home before the shooting started.
That’s when 8-year-old Mikayla Pickett, who was in her backyard, was shot in the back. She was taken to a nearby hospital where she died.
Lt. Michael Miller with the Akron Police Department said they have seen an uptick in violent crimes involving children.
“You’re at a loss for words when people like that are impacted, families of victims that young are impacted,” Miller said.
Mikayla’s death is the 31st homicide that Akron police have seen this year. Six of those were deaths of children under the age of 19.
Police are hoping someone will come forward with information about the shooting. No suspects have been identified.

Texas couple arrested after newborn son found dead in bucket of tar
MCKINNEY, Texas (AP) — A Texas couple have been charged with evidence tampering and abuse of a corpse after authorities found their infant son dead in a bucket of tar.
Sheriff’s deputies arrested Donna and Roland Grabowski late Saturday in the Dallas suburb of McKinney. A Collin County Sheriff’s Office spokesman said in a Wednesday statement that they had refused to cooperate with investigators looking into a report of the 1-week-old boy’s death.
After their arrest, deputies searched the couple’s home in Princeton, a small city about 40 miles (64 kilometers) northeast of downtown Dallas. In a shed behind the house they found a bucket of tar, with Micah Grabowski’s tiny form submerged in it, Capt. Nick Bristow said.
Bristow said the Grabowskis told deputies that they awoke on July 29 to find their son dead in their bed, but they never reported it. Sheriff Jim Skinner said the couple repeatedly lied about what happened to Micah.
“It’s tragic and it’s sad enough any time we have the death of an infant,” Skinner told WFAA-TV. “But it’s absolute reprehensible when you lie and deceive investigators as to the location of the body.”
Investigators are awaiting an autopsy to determine how the boy died.
Donna Grabowski, 41, is being held in jail on a more than $1 million bond for four felony charges including tampering with evidence, abuse of a corpse and child endangerment. Her lawyer did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Roland Grabowski, 42, faces three similar charges and is being held on a $925,000 bond. Jail records do not list an attorney for him.
Roland is registered as a sex offender in Texas for 2008 sexual assaults on two girls, ages 14 and 12.
A 12-year-old girl was caught on camera gambling at an Australian casino
(CNN) — A 12-year-old girl was among three minors caught gambling at a casino in Sydney, Australia, regulators said Saturday.
According to Liquor & Gaming New South Wales (NSW), the state regulator, The Star Sydney — among the largest casinos in the country — has been fined about $64,500 (90,000 Australian dollars) for that instance as well as two other cases of minors gambling and being served alcohol.
Surveillance footage released by the regulator showed the pre-teen being sneaked into the casino by her mother, who held an exit door open for her to avoid security. She could then be seen gambling alongside both her parents for 17 minutes — placing almost two dozen bets on several poker machines, known in Australia as “pokies.”
“It’s quite staggering that the young girl’s parents facilitated her entry in such a deceptive manner, let alone allowed their daughter to gamble,” NSW Independent Liquor & Authority Chair Philip Crawford said in a statement.
Liquor & Gaming NSW Director of Investigations and Intervention, David Byrne, said underage patrons trying to sneak in through the exit doors was a fairly obvious risk that the casino had “fail(ed) to manage.”
Beyond that, Byrne added, “there were a number of opportunities where staff should have noticed a very young person playing the poker machines — well before they actually did which was when the family was leaving.”
In another incident, a 16-year-old girl entered the casino through a VIP area with a middle-aged member. She was not asked for identification at the entrance, and was later served alcohol at the casino bar, where she presented a learner driver’s license which supposedly belonged to her. The girl was not caught until she attempted to enter a nightclub attached to the casino, where security noticed a mismatch between her and her purported ID.
On its website, the Star says it “practises the responsible service of alcohol,” adding that “guests must be aged 18 years or over to enter the casino.”
Meanwhile, a 17-year-old boy also managed to enter the casino, and stayed there for more than three hours before security escorted him out. During that time, he bought an alcohol and played 42 rounds of roulette and 22 hands of poker.
“Both children’s forays lasted long enough that they had interacted with several staff members by the time they were discovered,” Byrne said, with the 17-year-old having at least 15 interactions with staff, according to surveillance footage.
All three incidents were reported to the regulator by the Star itself, and occurred between March and July last year. Throughout 2019, some 32 minors gained access to the restricted areas of the casino, compared to 35 in 2018, according to the Star.
“We appreciate The Star’s cooperation in coming forward each time they detect a minor, however we do take these cases seriously,” Crawford said. “The penalty indicates that every breach requires a regulatory response befitting the risk of harm to young people and the community.”
The incidents involving the 16 and 17-year olds resulted in two $10,750 fines (15,000 Australian dollars) fines, while the incident involving the 12-year-old resulted in a $43,000 (60,000 Australian dollars) fine.
Previously, the largest fine for minors on casino premises in the country was $5,000 (7,000 Australian dollars).

Teen Chili’s hostess bloodied in alleged attack over social distancing
A teenage hostess at a Chili’s restaurant in Louisiana was allegedly assaulted by three customers who were furious that she enforced a coronavirus-related seating policy.
Kelsy Wallace, 17, was beaten up by three women — in an attack that left her bleeding from the head — after they requested to sit with a larger group of their friends at the eatery in Baton Rouge on Sunday, NBC reported.
“[Wallace] advised the group that due to social distancing requirements, the business only allowed six at a table,” prompting the women to fly into a fit of rage, Baton Rouge police told the station.
Wallace, who later posted photos online showing a chunk of her hair had been ripped out, was treated at a nearby hospital, according to the report.
The salty customers — Tammy Dabney, 48, Rodneka Dabney, 27, and Erica Dabney, 46 — were arrested Thursday, according to police Sgt. Don Coppola Jr.
Tammy Dabney faces charges of aggravated second-degree battery while Erica Dabney and Rodneka Dabney face charges of disturbing the peace and simple battery.
A rep for Chili’s didn’t immediately return a request for comment.
