Snoop Dogg makes hip-hop lullaby album for babies
Rapper and noted cannabis connoisseur Snoop Dogg has released an album for infants that’s packed with some of his greatest hits — in lullaby form.
The record, “Lullaby Renditions of Snoop Dogg,” features tranquil xylophone-laced renditions of hip-hop gems such as “Gin and Juice,” “Drop It Like It’s Hot” and “Doggy Dogg World.”
The 48-year-old “D-O-double-G” made the album with Rockabye Baby! Music, which has partnered with tough-guy rappers such as Eminem and Kanye West in the past to make tunes for tots.
It showcases 12 sleep-inducing songs, including baby-friendly versions of “Beautiful,” “What’s My Name?” and “Lay Low.” It was released last month and costs $17.
Hits such as “Smoke Weed Everyday, “B—h Please” and “That’s my N—a” didn’t make the cut.
In 2018, Snoop Dogg, real name Calvin Broadus Jr., showed off his domestic side when he launched a cookbook titled, “From Crook to Cook: Platinum Recipes From Tha Boss Dogg’s Kitchen,” which offers recipes on everything from smoothies to omelets.

Lil Wayne Joins XXXTentacion On “School Shooters”
Angst and anger
XXXTentacion’s final posthumous album has arrived. Bad Vibes Forever takes listeners through a plethora of emotions, but the angsty “School Shooters” featuring Lil Wayne is a personal favorite. An anxious sounding synth opens the song, giving the track an eerie feeling before even one word is said. X kicks of the song with a brief verse before Wayne comes through and murders things.
In an interview with Billboard, X’s manager Solomon Sobande spoke about the Wayne feature, stating, “A lot of records, like ‘School Shooter’ featuring Lil Wayne or ‘Hearteater,’ Jahseh saved for this point in his career when he was more established, so they would be better received. A lot of things he had worked on, almost complete ideas, weren’t finished maybe [they] only had one verse and a hook or only a beat. To fill out those songs, a who’s who of the music industry came out to help us.”

Summer Walker Blast Promoter After Getting Booed At Club Appearance
Summer Walker is calling out a promoter who allegedly lied to fans about her show after she got booed.
Summer Walker keeps finding herself in the midst of controversy since her debut album dropped in October. After canceling several tour dates and responding to criticism of her low-energy performances and even showing up late in certain cities, she’s found herself on the defense once again, this time against a club promoter in New Jersey. Apparently, the Over It singer was booked to do a club appearance or “walk through” at a local club, but fans were expecting a full performance.
Once video emerged of Summer standing on a couch in sweatpants barely singing, fans in attendance and on social media were upset with her demeanor. “Aye look, y’all gotta stop letting these promoters finesse y’all,” Summer wrote on Instagram after the incident. “I DO NOT, “I REPEAT DO NOT” sing on couches. Put some respect on my name.” She told fans if they wanted to see her perform, they can attend her formal tour dates or catch her on Jimmy Fallon on Dec. 9. “Hey reading is fundamental, there was nothing on there about no “performance,” she said.
But the promoter in question told a different version of the events and posted the contract agreement between he and Summer. The document shows the songstress allegedly agreed to host the party and perform 2-3 songs. Summer later said the contract he posted was fake. “If this is a fake contract tell me why she even came? Let alone grabbed the mic for y’all with no effort,” he replied.
The promoter claimed he made it clear it was a club appearance and not a show, but did expect Summer to perform. He then threatened to take legal action. “Keeping it 100 She got boo’d and tried to blame me that I didn’t book her for a show. We all know she wasn’t booked for a show. (As to why my date wasn’t on her tour list) If you know the business you know it’s a difference between a show and a hosting with songs,” he said.
But the debate didn’t end there. Summer posted screenshots of the same promoter explaining to fans in IG comments that it was not a show but only a club appearance. “N*ggas posting fake contracts. Your getting sued,” she continued. “I’ve done 10 walk throughs this year and did exactly that. Walked through no issues.” Towards the end of her rant, Summer said she couldn’t wait until the year was over so she can go back to minding her business. It has surely been a hectic couple of months for the rising new artist.

Fantasia Explains Why She Is Sorry For Trying To Commit Suicide In The Past
It has been nearly a decade since music star and actress Fantasia was admitted to a medical institution, where she battled for her life after trying to commit suicide and taking an enormous amount of aspirin and sleeping pills.
The singer, who gained much fame for being the winner of the third season of the reality series American Idol back in 2004, opened up and talked about the experience of her suicide attempt and what drove her to it during an episode of Behind the Music, which aired in 2010.
Back then, the diva explained she did not have any fight in her and did not care about anything.
Fantasia also confessed she wanted to be over with her life, go to sleep, and find peace.
The R&B diva admitted that she looked in the mirror before taking all of the pills from the bottle she was holding, and she was perfectly aware of what she was doing at the time.
However, life has undoubtedly improved for Fantasia, and her suicidal thoughts are a thing of the past now.
Sitting down on Good Morning America with Robin Roberts, she explained: “I think everybody feels like I tried to harm myself over a man, but you know I’ve been in a lot of bad relationships. I think that had somewhat to do with it because it was so heavy, it was brand new information, I was already going through so much. But I think it was just six years of everything, of me holding all that stuff on the inside and not letting it out…I got very, very tired. When I woke up, I figured out, ‘Oh god, this is going to be more drama.”
While appearing on The Real, the singer revealed: “When I tried to just get away from the world. Some would say, ‘commit suicide.’ I didn’t think it was me trying to kill myself. I just wanted to be away from all the noise. If I could do that over, I would.”
In the recent interview during an episode of “The Real,” the star was asked if there were something she would change if given the opportunity.
According to Fantasia, trying to end her life was the thing she would do over if it were possible.
Currently, the singer is the proud mother of two children, a teenager, and a boy, and in 2015, she married businessman Kendall Taylor.
Besides her sixth studio album, Sketchbook, hitting the stores n the upcoming weeks, Fantasia is also participating in a tour with colleagues Robin Thicke, Tank, and The Bonfyre.

Kid Rock’s Detroit restaurant is closing after profane Oprah rant goes viral — but he says he’s not racist
Kid Rock confirmed that, come April, he will not be renewing the licensing agreement for his Made In Detroit restaurant, his signature eatery at Little Caesars Arena that opened in 2017. The space will instead offer a new concept which “aligns with our community and company values,” said Chris Granger, president of sports and entertainment for Ilitch Holdings, according to Detroit Free Press.
The news comes days after Kid Rock’s drunken, profanity-laced tirade against Oprah Winfrey went viral, with the 48-year-old musician alluding to the drama in a Wednesday Facebook post announcing the news.
“I appreciate all who have patronized our place and still have much love for the City of Detroit and the people / organizations that I have helped there for years, black, white, whatever, but learned long ago, go where you’re celebrated, not tolerated,” Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, wrote.
“I guess the millions of dollars I pumped into that town was not enough. I will let the NAN network and others go ahead and take the wheel now. Good luck,” the Detroit native continued.
Kid Rock was referencing the not-for-profit civil-rights organization National Action Network (NAN), founded by the Reverend Al Sharpton, with whom the rocker has clashed over the years. He added, “Trump 2020!!” before specifically listing a few organizations in Detroit to which he’s donated hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Hours later, he tweeted, “All this BS going on has just go my blood pumpin’ and is only more songwriting fuel for a new record and tour in 2021. I am beholden to no one, no corporate sponsors, no label and I am gonna go the f*** off!” He added in another tweet, “You haters better be shaking in your boots.”
The “Only God Knows Why” singer faced backlash after a vulgar video of him bashing Winfrey, Joy Behar and Kathie Lee Gifford was posted online last week. Kid Rock, who appeared heavily intoxicated, made the statements on a mic at his Honky Tonk bar in Nashville. Many people viewed his comments as racist, something he denied mid-rant.
“Oprah Winfrey is like ‘Hey, I want to get some white women to believe in this [expletive],” he yelled. “And if you say that, you’re like, ‘Hey, well I’m pretty sure Kid Rock is a racist.’ I’m like, okay fine. [Expletive].”
“I’m not a bad guy,” added the musician. “I don’t like Oprah Winfrey or Joy Behar.”
He continued, “They’re like, you’re [expletive] racist, I’m like, you’re [expletive] weird. You call your people, I’ll call mine.”
Kid Rock (sort of) elaborated on his disdain for Winfrey in a follow-up tweet Friday.
A Detroit activist group said it plans to hold a news conference on Wednesday about what it calls his “reprehensible tirade,” according to the Associated Press.

Gucci Mane was R Kelly’s ghost writer, rapper reveals
According to a new interview with OJ da Juiceman, “If you listen deep into it R Kelly singing and sh*t”.
2019 has seen R Kelly arrested on federal sex trafficking charges in Chicago, face further claims of abuse from his ex-wife and seen his ex-girlfriend Jocelyn Savage claim he made her have two abortions.
Now the R&B singer’s name has been brought up in a ghost-writing claim from rapper OJ da Juiceman, who claims fellow rapper Gucci Mane penned lyrics for R Kelly.
In an interview with CountryRapTunes, OJ da Juiceman claimed that his 2009 R Kelly collab ‘Supaman High’ actuall featured secret vocals from Gucci Mane and R Kelly’s lyrics were written by the rapper.
OJ da Juiceman explained, “Gucci wrote the hook…no, I wrote the hook. Gucci wrote R Kelly’s verse. And R Kelly kept Gucci’s ad-libs. If you listen deep into it R Kelly singing and sh*t, you’ll hear Gucci.”
He went on to say, “The label [said] R Kelly got this record. He need a hook and a verse. The label put the call in. ‘R Kelly? Hell yeah!’ I was happy as hell to do that sh*t. Me to be a trap rapper rapping ’bout dope and sh*t? R Kelly? Got-damn, c’mon man.”
Gucci Mane has yet to respond to the claims at the time of writing.
R Kelly is currently in jail in Chicago awaiting trial, although no trial date has yet been set in the singer’s sex trafficking case.

Apple’s first Music Awards will be headlined by Billie Eilish
Other winners include Lizzo and Lil Nas X.
Not long after Spotify announced its upcoming music awards show, Apple has done the same. The Apple Music Awards is a “celebration of the best and boldest musicians of 2019 and the enormous impact they have had on global culture this year.” The event takes place at the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple Park this Wednesday December 4th, and will be live streamed at 9:30 PM ET / 6:30 PM PT.
The star of the show will be Billie Eilish, who’ll be celebrating her Artist of the Year award with a special performance at the event. Other winners include Lizzo, as Breakthrough Artist of the Year, and Lil Nas X, who takes home the Song of the Year award for his earworm tune Old Town Road.

Azealia Banks Announces Retirement
Article via HotNewHipHop
Azealia Banks, don’t ever change. The talented artist has given us much to unpack throughout the years, be it unique and innovative tunes, unapologetic tirades, and even the occasional recipe. Unfortunately, much of her creativity was overshadowed by her more controversial antics and before long the narrative had transformed into a villain’s origin story. Whether that’s fair or not is entirely up for debate; many still hold fast by Azealia’s side, though others jumped ship after one sudden beef too many. Now, after a little under a decade of putting in work, Azealia Banks has decided to hang up her microphone with one final PSA via Instagram Story, as preserved by HipHopNMore.
The main crux of her message stems from a variance in taste, as many of her fans have taken to admiring “lesser” artists — at least as she sees it. “I find myself acknowledging/looking at shit I’m leagues above and it really is such a setback,” she writes. “I truly honestly could not give a fuck about any of the people you ask me to collab with.” She proceeds to take a shot at some of her favorite sparring partners, lamenting being consistently “thrown in the bucket with Iggys/Tinashes/random drag queens.” “I’m like a giant baking pies and eating cakes trying to fault mice for collecting crumbs,” she taunts. “Gotta leave the crumbs on the floor and let the ecosystem do what it does.”
She doubles down in signature fashion. “It’s true — even though I’m DEFINITELY better than all these little trash bitches ya’ll stans try collaging in with me,” she begins, claiming that the never-ending request line has proven too big a burden to bear. And thus, her exeunt from music, and possibly even social media at large. For all those “mice” eagerly lapping at the crumbs she left behind, the harvest has come to an end. And like that, she was gone. Will you miss her?

Normani Reveals She Was Trying to Hide in Fifth Harmony
It’s hard to believe Normani—record-setting gymnast, former Fifth Harmonymember, star of a 69 million-viewed music video—is shy.
As was revealed in a newly published interview in Cosmopolitan, the 23-year-old “Motivation” singer has actually had “lifelong shyness,” an attribute that struck during her first solo performance as a young dancer.
According to the magazine, she “made her way to the spotlight, froze, and ran straight back to the wings.”
Of course, the star songstress has come a long way from that moment, having graced the stages of Ariana Grande‘s Sweetener World Tour, the MTV Video Music Awards, the Billboard Music Awards and many others.
As fans well know, she got her star in stardom thanks to The X Factor and the resulting group, Fifth Harmony. For more than five years, the women worked together, spawning hits like “Worth It,” “Sledgehammer” and “Work From Home” and weathering the exit of member Camila Cabello until their “indefinite hiatus” in 2018.
While Normani is now handling the spotlight solo, that wasn’t initially the shy star’s intention. “I remember always being asked, ‘Why do you wanna be in a girl group? So you can hide?'” she recalled to Cosmopolitan. “And that’s exactly what I was trying to do.”
Eventually, however, she didn’t want to hide anymore.
“I’m not sure what that turning point was,” she said, “but I was like, Normani is enough. You can be onstage and perform and you can be enough.”
Judging by her solo success, Normani was certainly not wrong. As for her former colleagues, they’re all seizing the opportunities they worked toward together.
“People do what people do—take the information they have and blow it up,” she told the magazine of the breakup rumors about the group. “I’m happy everyone has an opportunity ’cause we worked our a off. We do our own things. We’re good.”

Summer Walker Fans Claim She Was Late As They Stood In The Cold For Hours
Article via HotNewHipHop
The singer shared photos and videos of herself hanging out in the city while fans were reportedly waiting.
It was believed that now that Summer Walker has openly, and repeatedly shared her social anxiety struggles with her fans, they would be more sympathetic. The singer has canceled a bulk of her tour after being criticized in the media over her live shows and recently she even issued a sort of public service announcement to anyone attending her concert in Toronto.
“If y’all wanna see 2 splits, a back flip, an a Adele belt, & one Pusey pop this show is not for you,” she wrote on Instagram. <a href="https://www.hotnewhiphop.com/admin/article/edit/96565/
” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>”Lol just this is for wine sippers, blunt roller, & hand swayers.” However, fans took to Twitter to share their displeasure with the singer once again after many stated that she showed up late and left them waiting out in the cold. Summer uploaded clips of herself with boyfriend London On Da Track in Toronto and even posted a series of photos she took throughout the evening, including a snap with Drake.View this post on InstagramA post shared by Summer Walker (@summerwalker) on Nov 25, 2019 at 8:03pm PST
“Summer walker Toronto show has not started lmao it’s 10:30 ?,” one person wrote. Another tweeted, “I hope summer walker knows that toronto is the last city she needs clownin’ her. hit the stage sis.” Even with all of the complaints, there were some people who came to her defense, stating that if fans were left to wait in line outside in the cold, that’s the venue’s fault, not Summer’s doing. In one clip, it looked like the crowd was singing along and having a good time. Check it all out, along with some alleged firsthand accounts, below.
