Rapper Lil Xan hospitalized after eating ‘too many Hot Cheetos’
Lil Xan has said he needed to go to hospital on Monday after eating too many Hot Cheetos.
The Total Xanarchy rapper posted a message to his five million followers on Instagram after being discharged.
“I was in hospital not due to any drugs, but I guess I ate too many Hot Cheetos,” he said with a laugh.
In a caption to the post he added he was “healthier than I’ve ever been”, ahead of his upcoming live tour.
Hot Cheetos are an American corn-based snack. And they’re spicy.
On Tuesday, the 22-year-old alarmed fans by posting a photo of himself in the back seat of an ambulance on his Instagram story.
He quickly posted a new clip revealing: “I was in the hospital not due to any drugs but I guess I ate too many Hot Cheetos and it ripped something in my stomach open so I puked a little blood”.
The rapper’s Total Xanarchy tour kicks off in New York City on Wednesday.
It’s not the first time the snacks have been in the news because of health concerns.

Dr. Dre TV Show Dropped by Apple Due to Violence, Sex: Report
Apple has reportedly rejected “Vital Signs,” an in-the-works TV show starring and executive-produced by Dr. Dre that was being made for its streaming service, after CEO Tim Cook deemed its content too graphic and violent, The Wall Street Journal reports.
The semi-autobiographical, six-episode show had been touted as Apple’s debut scripted series, with a cast including Sam Rockwell, Michael K. Williams, and Ian McShane. According to The Wall Street Journal, Cook objected to scenes involving drugs, sex, and guns. The show may end up being broadcast elsewhere.
In a 2016 interview with Entertainment Weekly, Rockwell said that the show featured him, Williams, and McShane playing different aspects of Dr. Dre’s personality. “I play Ego, and Ian McShane is Vengeance, and Michael K. Williams is Negativity. There’s also a character called Prodigy,” he said. Rockwell also told EW that “We had a couple of orgy scenes. That was interesting.”
The Wall Street Journal reports, “Apple has made clear, say producers and agents, that it wants high-quality shows with stars and broad appeal, but it doesn’t want gratuitous sex, profanity or violence.” For an M. Night Shyamalan series, which was ultimately approved, Apple reportedly requested that crucifixes in the lead characters’ house be removed. Apple has also replaced several other series’ showrunners after purchasing the rights, according to the report.
Pitchfork has contacted representatives for Apple and Dr. Dre for comment.

Ja Rule Refuses to Feel Shame Over Fyre Festival Failure, Says It Was ‘Beyond Brilliant’
Following Ja Rule’s infamous Fyre Festival apology of “this is NOT MY FAULT… but I’m taking responsibility” via Notes app screenshot last spring, he spoke about the disastrous luxury music fest once more on Revolt TV’s Drink Champs. Little has changed: he still doesn’t feel any shame about it because “the idea” (which he maintains was his own) was “brilliant.”
In a video interview published on Friday, Ja admitted:
“I’m not ashamed. I’m not ashamed of Fyre at all. Because man, the idea, it was brilliant. It was fuckin’ beyond brilliant…It was amazing. It wasn’t what I dreamed it of being and what I envisioned of it being and what I wanted it to be. It wasn’t done properly…People didn’t really know I had anything to do with the festival until it went wrong. And then it was like, ‘Ja Rule’s festival!’ It was my idea, my vision to do this. And I’m no way, shape or form ashamed of my vision of what it was to do this. I wanted to create something amazing.”
Ja does offer something of a proper apology, if you need it. The aftermath of the festival was a mess and several the attendees filed lawsuits):
“I should’ve been more on top of things. I should’ve not trusted people with certain things. And maybe, I’m positive things wouldn’t have been like that. That part of it, I take all responsibility.”
He concludes with, “Never give nobody the keys to your motherfucking car.” I’d give it the addendum of “…especially if you’re putting large adult son Billy McFarland in the driver’s seat, a boy of little experience and even littler problem-solving ability.”
