CupcakKe Tearfully Announces That She Is Retiring & Removing Music From Streaming Platforms
Last night, the Chicago rapper CupcakKe sent out an Instagram Live video in which she claims that she’s retiring completely from the music industry. She claims that she’s ending her current tour, which started earlier this month. She also says that she’s going to remove all of her music from every streaming platform. In the 18-minute video, CupcakKe is visibly distressed, frequently breaking down in tears, speaking to a camera while wrapped in what appears to be a hotel bedsheet. It’s very disturbing.
Earlier this year, CupcakKe was hospitalized after tweeting that she was “about to commit suicide.” (After her hospitalization, she thanked fans, writing that she is getting the help she needs.) Last month, she announced her 10k Tour, in which she would give away $10,000 to random fans over the course of the tour. And she just released a new track called “Grilling N****s” last Friday. Since posting the video, she has deleted her Twitter and all of her posts on Instagram. She is scheduled to perform at the Masquerade in Atlanta tonight, and the venue’s website, at least right now, says nothing about the show being cancelled.
In the video that she posted last night, CupcakKe, visibly in tears, opens up by saying, “So this Live is going to be the last video that y’all will see of me.” She goes on: “I will no longer be doing music, and all of my music will be coming off of every platform.” She also says that her tour is cancelled, effective immediately.
In the video she claims that she’s ashamed of the music she’s released, much of which is extremely sexual: “I feel as though I’m corrupting the youth… I want to go to heaven after this, and I don’t want to go to hell. Just seeing all-age kids at the shows, seeing them sing along to ‘hump me’ and ‘fuck me’ and all this shit, it has torn me apart. I’m just not happy. I don’t want to be around no one right now… It’s wrong. And even if it’s OK for y’all, it’s not OK with me… I want to be normal again.” She thanks fans and apologizes for letting them down.
In the video, CupcakKe says that, even when she raps about non-sexual topics, the sexual music is what gets the most attention. She also feels that “the media” won’t take her seriously because of her body. And she says that she has “a very bad gambling addiction” and that she recently lost $700,000 in a casino, which allowed her to see that the people around her are using her.

Student Accused of Making Terroristic Threats After He Wrote Down Tyler, The Creator Lyrics: Report
Writing down Tyler, The Creator’s lyrics has reportedly gotten a University of South Alabama student in legal trouble.
According to a report The Associated Press published on Tuesday (Sept. 17), a 21-year-old student named Jack Aaron Christensen was reportedly charged with making a terroristic threat using lyrics from Tyler The Creator’s track “Radicals” from his 2011 album Goblin.
Prosecutors claim that he wrote part of the song’s chorus on a large flip chart in the school library that said to “kill people, burn shit, fuck school.”
The complaint reads that the incident happened on or around Sept. 11, the anniversary of the 2001 terrorist attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people. The complaint reportedly didn’t reveal why Christensen wrote it on a flip chart.
We must mention that at the beginning “Radicals,” the former Odd Future leader does offer a disclaimer that the song is a complete work of fiction.
“Random disclaimer, Hey, don’t do anything that I say in this song, okay? It’s fuckin’ fiction,” Tyler states on the track. “If anything happens, don’t fuckin’ blame me, White America. Fuck Bill O’Reilly.”
Apparently, this is the second time this has happened on the University of South Alabama’s campus. In a separate incident, unrelated to Christensen’s case, a student allegedly wrote a terroristic threat on social media.
“The students involved in each incident have been barred from university property pending the outcome of student conduct processes,” Michael Mitchell, vice president for student affairs, wrote in an e-mail to students and employees. “No matter the circumstances, our police must treat any possible threat with the utmost seriousness and act immediately to ensure the safety of our campus community.”
Christensen, nor his attorney, could be reached for comment.

Chipotle adds steak dish carne asada in rare addition to menu
(Reuters) – Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc <CMG.N> said on Tuesday it would add a new steak dish to its menu nationwide for the first time in three years, as the Mexican food chain looks to drive sales in a crowded U.S restaurant market.
Carne asada, a dish of thin steak slices seasoned with signature spices, will be offered on the menu for a limited period of time. It was piloted in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Fresno, California, Chipotle said.
“It performed incredibly well in the test markets,” said Chris Brandt, chief marketing officer of Chipotle.
Chipotle has been working to rebuild its image under Chief Executive Officer Brian Niccol after a series of food safety lapses hit the company’s reputation in 2015. It has been testing new menu items in addition to other initiatives such as new ad campaigns and loyalty program to boost its turnaround.
In July, Niccol teased the national rollout of new additions to the menu including carne asada, quesadillas, desserts and nachos.
Last year, Chipotle added condiment queso cheese to its menu, but was initially met with bad reviews from some Twitter users calling it a “crime against cheese”, forcing the company to tweak the recipe.
The latest rollout begins on Tuesday for Chipotle Rewards loyalty program members through its app and would be made available to all customers on Sept. 19, the restaurant chain said.
In January, the company launched a new line of “lifestyle bowls”, including paleo and keto salads for online customers.
Shares of Chipotle, which have risen 85% so far this year and outperformed the broader S&P 500 Restaurant index’s about 27% gain year-to-date, were up about 3% at $826.09.

Kanye West has banned daughter North from wearing makeup
Kanye West is a strict dad.
Kim Kardashian revealed to E! News that the family patriarch has banned his 6-year-old daughter North West from wearing makeup.
“She loves makeup but her dad won’t let her wear it,” Kardashian said. “I think he had it; he changed all the rules. I’d let her wear, you know, she has a little red for Christmas, I’d let her wear a red lip, or I’d let her do one pop of something. I’d let her, if she’s wearing a black dress, a black lip.”
The pint-size fashionista wore red lipstick to her family’s Christmas party last year, sported neon orange eyeliner to “SNL” and even snagged her first solo magazine cover on the Beauty Inc. edition of Women’s Wear Daily earlier this year.
North’s obsession with cosmetics runs so deep, in fact, that Kardashian previously revealed she often had to bribe her eldest daughter with lipstick just to get her to leave the house.
“So, I kind of got in trouble for that,” Kardashian continued. “So, it’s now no more makeup.”
No word on how West feels about North borrowing her mom’s high heels and designer handbags.

Smollett lawyers say he shouldn’t pay city because he didn’t know the costs
The lawyers for former Empire actor Jussie Smollett have filed a motion arguing that he shouldn’t have to pay the city for the police investigation because he didn’t know how much time and money the department would devote to his report.
His lawyers filed the motion this week, which maintains Smollett’s innocence in staging the hate crime against himself as the police department has alleged, according to the Associated Press.
The Chicago Police Department decided to sue Smollett for $130,000 over his refusal to reimburse the city for the overtime payments made to officers who were investigating the alleged hate crime.
The police department devoted 1,836 hours of police overtime and “untold hours of non-overtime police work” following Smollett’s report.
The motion claims that the “filing of a police report, in and of itself, does not necessitate a sprawling investigation nor does it, as a practical matter, usually result in an investigation as extensive as the one the CPD chose to undertake in this case.” Smollett’s lawyers also point out that a police report only enables “the police and prosecutors to decide whether and how to investigate.”
Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said, “Whether it’s Chicago or any other U.S. city, when he reported a vicious hate crime it was going to be investigated at the highest level of vigor and detail.”
The motion is the most recent development in the Smollett saga that began back in January. After contending that Smollett staged the attack to further his career, the Chicago Police Department filed criminal charges against the actor. The Cook County State’s Attorney’s office decided to dismiss those charges back in March, while a special prosecutor was appointed last month.
