The Tears of a Clown Kat Williams
What can we say Katt Williams is that clown with tears flowing down his face he wants to feed his sadness, happiness; anger by making everyone else laugh, making us happy with a joke I’m sure like a lot of comedians he gets a rush from seeing his audience fall back with a laugh and thunderous applause for his comedic delivery. I think people; his fans a like forget Katt Williams is human, with family; friends who love him?
Within the last few years we’ve seen this comedic genius slowly spiral out of control until it’s not even funny. If you are a TRUE fan of Katt Williams or not you have to wonder who is truly in his corner? Sadly showing signs of mental illness; this time he is very vulnerable and could end it all with a gunshot to his head or someone will end his life for him. Like so many of our comedians who has ended their lives they didn’t see a way out their deep depression, the yes men;women; money problems family problems.
Katt Williams is alone he seems to not know who to trust; I’m sure he scared, he may feel crying, laughing; yelling at the top of his lungs while silently asking for help. I don’t think anyone is really listening (SOME) everyone is just sitting back laughing AT him; not with him. He truly has tears of a clown.
“I used to think the worst thing in life was to end up all alone, it’s not. The worst thing in life is to end up with people that make you feel all alone.”

Batman Vs Superman Review
As you all know one of the most anticipated Super Hero movies came out this weekend, and that is Batman vs Superman.
While I initially heard bad reviews about this movie, I wanted to see it for myself before I gave my judgement on it. After seeing it myself last night I can say that while I don’t hate the movie, I’m kinda disappointed in it.
To start off, let me first say that Ben Affleck was AWESOME as Batman. I had my doubts about him at first but he definitely proved me wrong in this movie. Henry Cavill once again made a great Superman and Gal Gadot did great as Wonder Woman. But as far as Lex Luthor goes, Jessie Eisenberg wasn’t really the best choice for a villain like Luthor.
Throughout the movie it felt like I was watching a socially awkward nerd on crack than an intimidating villain.
Another thing that bothered me about the movie are the constant cutaway scenes and it seeming like that movie had too many plot points. You have one instance where you’d be focused on Superman than all of a sudden it switched to Batman, then Lex Luthor in plots that didn’t really matter or didn’t really make sense.
Now for the actual fight between Superman and Batman and then Doomsday. The fight between these two would’ve been better if Superman wanted to fight Batman willingly instead of being forced to by Lex Luthor. Aside from that the fight was very enjoyable visually though. As for Doomsday we all know he was there as a way to bring the 3 heroes together to fight the “common enemy” which I do again admit was enjoyable visually but could’ve been executed better or saved for another movie.
All in all, Batman vs Superman is the first super hero movie in a while that walked away from feeling underwhelmed. Would I see it again? I’m in no rush to, but I still say go out and see it to give your own personal judgement on it. For me, out of 10, I give it a 6.
Well there’s my take on it, let me know what you think!
Alexandra Shipp Talks About Storm’s Character In Interview
To think that in a little over 2 months the movie X-Men Apocalypse will be hitting theaters. With each passing day we’re getting a little more information each day. Recently actress Alexandra Shipp who will be playing Storm did an interview with Collider.com giving some details about her character.
Here’s one of the questions she answered in her interview:
Can you tell us a little bit about Storm? Or, this Storm, your Storm.
SHIPP: My Storm in particular is kind of a, well yeah, she’s the past derivative of Halle’s Storm. This Storm is a little bit different because you’re meeting her in Cairo. You’re seeing kind of a little bit of where she comes from. You’re seeing all the pain that she’s gone through. It’s not like she’s in the mansion having a great time. She’s so different from all of the other kids because they come from families. They come from some sort of love and support whereas Storm hasn’t had that since her parents died in that plane crash into the house when she was like 5.
It’s like, she’s kind of just all really messed up and the only mutants that she knows are bad mutants. The only mutants that she knows are the mutants who use their powers for stealing, or protecting thugs or whatever. It’s not like, “Oh, we’re going to save the planet”. It’s like, “Forget the planet, I need money so I’m going to distract you with some wind and then I’m going to pick pocket you.” She’s in survival mode so when she meets Apocalypse, she’s kind of like hit this revelation where she has been struggling to feel like she belongs somewhere.

X-Men Apocalypse is due out in theaters May 27th!
Deadpool Movie Review
Yes I know I’m late with this but better late than never. As you all know the movie Deadpool was released to theaters this weekend, and the question you’re probably asking is the movie good? My answer, no it wasn’t good, IT WAS AMAZING!
When I say this movie delivered, it delivered! I can honestly say that Deadpool is the best comic book movie released so far. All of the elements that you would see in the comics you see in the movie. That means, gore, hilarity and also fourth wall breaking. Just like Hugh Jackman is Wolverine and Robert Downey Jr. is Iron Man, Ryan Reynolds is definitely Deadpool. He delivered the merc with the mouth’s characteristics perfectly and I can’t see anyone else doing this role.
All in all, my friend and I, and pretty much the rest of the theater enjoyed this movie, it’s a 10 out of 10 easy. I’ll definitely be waiting for the sequel!
However! Here is a definite disclaimer for parents thinking about taking their underage kids to see this movie. I don’t mean 15-16, I mean 9-10 years old. Parents, DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS TO SEE THIS MOVIE! This film is rated R for a good reason. We don’t have time for your 8 year old to be exposed to the all the violence and gore and nude scenes then having the audacity to complain about the movie you took YOUR child to see. Basically parents, don’t ruin this movie experience for everyone else over your poor decisions, take your kids to see Batman Vs Superman, Captain America, hell even X-Men Apocalypse, but not this movie.
As for the people who are old enough to see it without an adult, if you haven’t seen Deadpool see it now, like literally right now!
Alan Rickman Dead At 69
As of January 14th, famous English actor Alan Rickman best known for his roles as Hans Gruber in Die Hard and Severus Snape in the Harry Potter film series, passed away after a short battle with cancer. He was 69 years old.
Soon after his death was reported fans of the late actor created a memorial in honor of him at the 9 3/4 platform at the King’s Cross station in London. J.K. Rowling and several of the Harry Potter actors and other actors spoke out about Rickman such as Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Emma Thompson, and Ian Mckellen.
While I haven’t really seen any other roles he’s played outside of Harry Potter, Mr. Rickman’s character Professor Snape definitely stood out to me. While I’ve only been a fan of the Harry Potter franchise for a few years, just like everybody else he went from a character who I loved to hate to someone who I really respected and admired. I can tell by they way the people have written about him that he was a wonderful man with great talent.
R.I.P. Alan Rickman, and as your character Snape said, “Please turn to page 394”
Christina Milian Defends Her Daughter’s ‘Grown’ Afro-Twist Hairstyle
The only reason Christina Milan did her babies hair like this was for shits n giggles this baby has to be wearing a wig! Naw I’M PLAYIN’ LOOOL But for real why would she want to put so much weight on her babies head the weight could cause headaches in fact when I first say this picture I thought it was photoshopped. This baby looks like a living Doll! Her baby is so cute. Try something simple; cute that this little girl can handle.
Well you know what Black Twitter did! LOL here’s Milian’s excuse:
“For those of you more concerned with Violet’s hair (understandably cause you just don’t know) her hair isn’t in the twists, it’s another method used where they are tied into her corn rows. The hair isn’t heavy,”
Chiraq Movie Review
What can I say about Chiraq? Other than its one of the best movies to come out this year in my opinion. That’s right I said it, I loved Chiraq!
Chiraq is the retelling of a Greek tale of women who withhold sex from their men until they stop going to war or in Chiraq’s case, stop the violence in Chicago. The movie stars Teyonah Parris, Nick Cannon, Angela Basset, Wesley Snipes, Samuel Jackson, John Cusack, Jennifer Hudson and a lot of other wonderful black actors.
To start off with, the movie definitely delivers its message, which is that the violence in Chicago has to stop. In the movie the female lead Lysistrata, convinces the entire woman population of Chicago to refrain from having sex with their men till the violence stops permanently. With that being said, hilarity and drama ensue and it was fun to watch.
That being said I loved 98 percent of the performances in this movie. I say 98% because in scenes where Jennifer Husdon was supposed to cry, I can literally see only one scene where she cries, every other time it’s a dry face. Other than that I had no other issue with the acting what so ever. It knew how to bring forth a serious issue but bring a little bit of light to a dark situation.
As for the critics, to those who are mad at Spike Lee and the actors who took part of it, why? They’re shedding light on a huge issue in your town. Instead of being mad at them you should me mad at the one shooting up your city and killing innocent people who had nothing with who Evers problems. Check them before you check Spike Lee.
All in all I give Chiraq a 9.5 out of 10. If you haven’t see it see it before it leaves theaters!
Creed Movie Review
With 2015 about to wrap up I feel like I’ve seen all of the movies I wanted to see this year. The last one I saw this year was today and it was the movie Creed. All I have to say is I’m glad this was the last movie I wanted to see this year because it definitely delivered.
The story more or less, is kind of I guess you can say an either direct or indirect sequel to the Rocky franchise. However Rocky isn’t the center of attention in this one. Instead it’s Apollo Creed’s illegitimate son Adonis “Donny” Creed. After being taken by Apollo’s wife played by Phylicia Rashad. Donny decided to take up boxing just like his father. However he strives to make his own legacy and not stay in the shadow of his father.
First off I I have to say is Michael B. Jordan killed this role. In all honesty this completely takes away from that horrible Fantastic Four movie he was in earlier this year. Sylvester Stalone was also great. This movie shows that he’s not just some typical action movie star, he can play dramatic roles if he feels like and he proved it.
Phylicia Rashad and Tessa Thompson did a wonderful job as well as Donny’s adopted mom and girlfriend respectively. As someone who’s seen them in different things such as The Cosby Show and Dear White People, it’s nice to see them in great movies like this.
All in all I give Creed a 10 out of 10. If they decide to make this into a franchise I hope they keep the same elements they had in this film. If you haven’t seen this movie you’re missing out on a lot.
NBC The Wiz LIVE! REVIEW
Before I get started with my Review TO ALL THE WHITE FOLKS I KNOW YOU LOVED THIS PLAY BUT PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WHEN HOLLOWEEN COMES IN OCTOBER 2016 DO NOT DRESS UP IN BLACK FACE AS DOROTHY OR ANY OF THE OTHER CHARACTERS FROM THE WIZ REMEMBER BLACK PEOPLE ARE NOT A HOLLOWEEN COSTUME!
The Wiz is the most loved and popular Broadway musical play in the history of Black cinema and SOME white folks are so upset no outraged that we BLACK people would DEARE celebrate our OWN HOW DEARE WE REWRITE AND CHANGE Judy Garland Wizard of Oz I’ll have Ti address this stupidness lol
But anyway my review of this remake as I started watching I was blown away at the colorful costumes, the make up the set, Cirque du Soleil , natural hair; the wigs! I liked it but I wanted the characters to SANG AND REALLY DANCE AND JUMP LIKE IT WAS THEIR LAST DAY ON EARTH! We first see three Men getting ready for a storm that will be coming soon out comes Dorothy Suitcase in hand with her beloved dog Toto but I wanna know where was Toto throughout the rest of the show? All his homies was like….
Shanice Williams (Glee) as Dorothy her performance seem plan with no seasoning no flava her singing didn’t give me chills, I didn’t feel that lump in my throat I didn’t feel the need or the excitement to say YAAAASSS Hallelujah!
As forAuntie Em Stephanie Mills now she sang! What did get me somewhat in awe was the wind; leaves becoming a character all its own the dancers in these beautiful costumes that came alive. Doethy comes to a strange land when we meet The Munchkins’ with all their natural hair wearin’ glory telling her she has killed the wicked witch of the west.
Then we come to Amber Riley who played Addaperle the good witch of the North, who did some SANGIN’ there was some cleaver references to today’s technology as Addaperle pulled out her magical slate an iPad to “magically” guess Dorthys name after giving her a kiss and slippers off Dorothy goes without Toto following the yellow brick road to help her get home .
We come to the scarecrow played by Elijah Kelley now there was SANGIN’ from him. to my Hip Hop heads did you notice the tribute to jean Michel basquiat ? The only thing I was missing was the really good dancing from Elijah I wanted him to jump and fly around the stage while SANGIN with them SANGIN’ CROWS!
As they walk they invite tin man an Loin to come with them to Emerald city to ask The Wiz to help the find what they unknowing have. My favorite character has always been the cowardly Loin David Alan Grier I will have to say my favorite scene was the Lion rounding up the poppie flowers the scene was sex, seductive but still showing Lions courage that he didn’t know he had. Our four friends finely find Emerald city to see the Wiz but before that they must go through the Bouncer played by Common I wish he’d broke out in a rhyme with a little name drpppin’ Dorothy and her friends are let in to Club Emerald city (I call it) they still can’t get into see the Wiz as the lobby is full of dancers tellin’ them they are not allowed entry but all of the sudden they see Dorothy’s shoes and let them all in!Queen Latifah as the wiz did her thang even though she looked like a peppermint candy she told our friends to kill Evillene the wicked witch of the west before she grants their wishes. Mary J. Blige playing Evillene, the Wicked Witch of the West let me tell you her makeup, costume; hair ( her edges was on fleek hunty) was breath taking. Dorothy her friends took out the wicked witch one problem the Wiz is not who he says he is he is actually a she! Telling them all that they had the things they wanted all along okay then we see that the Wiz is ready to leave and take Dorothy with her but Dorothy gets a change of heart and wants to go back to where her home is with Auntie Em However we learn that Glinda played by Uzo Aduba we come to the end where Dorothy sings home Those of us who say it didn’t ya’ll feel cheated? Dorothy baby why ONLY ONE CLICK OF THE HEELS?
Toto going to his Lawyers in the morning saying BITCH BETTER HAVE MY MONEY!
