DC Universe Streaming Service COMING SOON
I CAN’T WAIT!! I am so geeked out right now!
Last year, Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment announced they were launching a new digital streaming platform that would include both animated and live action series. Now, that service has a name — DC Universe — and an official landing page on the DC Comics website.
The landing page describes the platform as a “first-of-its kind, immersive digital experience designed just for DC fans,” with access to exclusive original series. Several shows have already been announced for the platform, including the animated Young Justice: Outsiders, the live-action adaptation of DC’s Titans comics, and an animated series focusing on fan favorite Harley Quinn. Today it was also announced that a live-action Swamp Thing series would be coming to the service…….

Netflix 13 Reasons Why Season 2 releases a PSA Suicide prevention is it good enough?
The first season of Netflix 13 Reasons Why. Promos were/are appealing, unique and intriguing. I’d even say sexy. Netflix 13 Reasons Why tells a story of Hannah Baker who commits suicide but before her tragic end she buys a pack of blank cassette tapes. Records her truth of 13 reasons why to her 13 friends as to her reasons she commits suicide . The dialuge. The music, the graphics. And the images of the old school audio tapes. Draws you in.
Yeah this Netflix series glamorizes suicide. Before It’s release . The excitement around the show. Critic reviews. And the social media commentary. Was very positive. With a few keyboard gangsta trolls. Putting their asshole opinion in the mix. Everyone has one right? There was the forgotten, the very impressionable. Vulnerable suicidal pre teen. That Teen and that young 20 something college kid. We live in a social media FB LIVE Snapchat IG world. Of monkey see monkey do. Before and after the Netflix premier. Suicide prevention experts. Raised concern lead to a suicide-contagion effect and a spate of copycat attempts. Research published at the end of July 2017 argued that those concerns may have been founded. Google queries about suicide rose by almost 20 percent in 19 days after the show came out, representing between 900,000 and 1.5 million more searches than usual regarding the subject. Reading these statistics is just terrifying. Yes there have been some copycat suicides after these vonrable impressionable young viewers watched Netflix 13 Reasons Why. Two Suicides really got me. Was the two californa teens Bella Herndon and Percila Chi who committed suicide just hours of it’s premiere. In their parents grief they want Netflix to stop airing season 1 and cancel plans of season 2.
One of the parents saying that the Netflix show gives a blueprint for suicide. They said that the Netflix show was a blueprint for suicide. But is it really a blueprint for suicide for EVERY CHILD OR ADULT? Or is it for the vonarable suicidal teen?
That vonarable pre teen. That vonrable young adult. Or that vonrable older adult. Who are unable to distinguish right from wrong. We can’t just blame Netflix programming. On a preisting problem. If WE know of a loved one who is suicidal and has suicidal thoughts. We have to be diligent and know who? what? where? Who are their friends and who are their parents and other family members And WHAT they are hearing on the radio and seeing on Television and streaming services Like Netflix.

Avengers: Infinity War Movie Review(SPOILERS)
In all honesty, I cannot talk about this movie without bringing spoilers into it. This past weekend I got the privilege to see Avengers: Infinity War not once but twice! I can honestly say that it was blown away both times I saw it.
For those that don’t know and don’t care about spoilers, Avengers: Infinity is the culmination and mega cross over of the Marvel Cinematic Universe from Iron Man until now. In this new movie everyone must come together and stop the powerful Titan Thanos from getting all six infinity stones and wreaking havoc across the universe.
Let me just start off by saying that Josh Brolin, killed it as Thanos. That man was on level 100 from start to finish in his movie. In a sense this is essentially Thanos’ movie. He showed his ruthlessness by not only killing half of the Asguardians but killing Heimdall and Loki as well and making Thor watch. That’s how you know he meant business in this movie.
All of our here’s from Doctor Strange to Iron Man to Captain America to Black Panther all did great in this movie as well and stole the spotlight in their scenes.
The tone of this movie was very well balanced as the shift from humor to dark to sadness felt natural and not forced and it matched with whatever character was in the scene.
Now let’s talk team ups and action sequences. The action scenes in this movie make the fights in Civil War look tame. Every battle was top notch from Doctor Strange using his magic to counter against Ebony Maw’s telekinetic attacks, Team Iron Man using their strategic minds to get the edge on Thanos in Titan to the straight up brawl fest in Wakanda, there was no talk just action through out.
But as stated this movie did bring about several sad scenes and unexpected deaths. As stated before, while Loki’s death was somewhat predictable it was still sad nonetheless as with Thanos killing Gamora to get the soul stone. The one with the worst luck might have been Vision in my opinion. Being killed by the one you love only for Thanos to reverse time and do it himself is down right horrible. Also with Thanos getting all six stone and snapping his fingers, his plan was complete. All those who died with his snap were Bucky Barnes, Black Panther, Falcon, Starlord, Drax, Mantis, Scarlett Witch, Groot, Spider-Man, Maria Hill, and Nick Fury.
Things look extremely bleak going into Avengers 4 next year but from what it looks like, this will be the last hoorah for the original MCU Avengers before the new heroes take over. Let’s see how hey manage tofix the mess that Thanos has caused.
Avengers: Infinity War, if you haven’t seen it, I suggest you go as soon as possible, those 10 years were worth the wait for this movie. It’s a definite solid 10 out of 10 for me, let me know what you think!
Austin Powers movies’ Mini-Me, Verne Troyer, dies
The diminutive actor who starred in the Austin Powers movies’ as “Mini Me”, Verne Troyer, died Saturday at a hospital in Los Angeles. He was 49.
“It is with great sadness and heavy hearts to write that Verne passed away today,” his family posted on his Instagram account.
The cause of death was not announced, but the family wrote that “depression and suicide are very serious issues.”
“You never know what kind of battle someone is going through inside. But be kind to one another. And always know, it’s never too late to reach out to someone for help,” they said.
Troyer, who was 2 feet 8 inches (81 cm) tall, is best known for Austin Powers movies “The Spy Who Shagged Me” and “Austin Power in Goldmember.”
He also had the role of the goblin Griphook in the Harry Potter movies.
Troyer’s height was due to achondroplasia dwarfism, Variety reported. He once said that his parents “never treated me any different than my other average-sized siblings. I used to have to carry wood, feed the cows and pigs and farm animals.”…..

13 Reasons Why Season 2 Is a “Redemptive and Hope-Filled Story,” According to Kate Walsh

Looks like things for Netflix 13 Reasons Why will expand on the cause and effect of rape and school bullying and responsibilities of ones actions that cause reaction.
Not much is known about 13 Reasons Why season two…until now. The Netflix series is “going off book,” still living in the world based on Jay Asher’s book, but going further with the characters, Kate Walsh told E! News.
“It’s a very exciting season for a lot of reasons,” Walsh said. “You see us sort of following the trail of Bryce Walker [Justin Prentice], so this season deals with sexual assault, it deals with truth, it deals with responsibility, it deals with the aftermath of Hannah’s death…And really trying to, again, look for responsibility and accountability. It’s very intense and very, I think, still totally addictive.”…..
