NFL stadium worker quits job after national anthem protest
SOME PEOPLE JUST DON’T GET WHAT IT MEANS TO BE AN AMERICAN
“I Disapprove of What You Say, But I Will Defend to the Death Your Right to Say It”
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. – Several Bills players knelt during the national anthem. Others locked arms.
“I can’t stand and support something where our leader of this country is just acting like a jerk,” LeSean McCoy said in a post-game press conference.
It was a show of solidarity for members of the NFL who believe President Trump’s remarks Friday evening toward players were divisive, but there were plenty of people –fans, players, politicians–arguing both sides.
Stadium worker Erich Nikischer quit his job at New Era Field after almost 30 years.
“I waited until the National Anthem ended, I took off my shirt, threw my Bills hat on the ground, walked out,” Nikischer said in a sit-down interview with Channel 2 at his West Seneca home.
Nikischer says he has no problem with players protesting before the National Anthem. It’s when the kneeling continued into the song that strong feelings took over…..

Stephen A. Smith Points Out NFL’s Paid Patriotism Problem
Original article Sep 14 2016
Late last month, as the country was only just becoming consumed by Colin Kaepernick, Tom E. Curran of Comcast Sportsnet New England reported that, actually, NFL players did not typically stand for the national anthem until 2009. Somehow this escaped many of us until, uh, Stephen A. Smith highlighted it this morning on First Take.
Responding to a tip from one of his “boys,” Smith brought up the fact that until 2009—eight years and a new Presidential administration after 9/11—players weren’t on the field for the national anthem and instead generally remained in the locker room. According to Smith’s boy (and the researcher at ESPN who checked it), the switch happened “because it was seen as a marketing…….

President Donald Trump just might’ve helped Colin Kaepernick get back in the NFL
It’s all about the money
President Donald Trump just might’ve helped Colin Kaepernick get back in the NFL. Trump spoke to a Huntsville, Ala., crowd on Friday night and did what he’s done best since taking office: continue to rip the fabric of America down the racial seam.
During his rambling, empathetically racist rant, Trump exclaimed:
“Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, ‘Get that son of a bitch off the field right now, out. He’s fired. He’s fired!,’” Trump said. “The crowd of supporters erupted in cheers. The president was referring to former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who, last year led a non-violent, silent protest against the killings of unarmed African……

University President Hosts ‘Black Meals’ W/ Cotton Stalk Centerpieces
I just don’t understand how this old white man couldn’t understand how this cotton stalk centerpiece was offensive to black people. SMDH This old white man is playing stupid. The fact the black guests stayed to eat makes me go Hmmmmm? If it was me I’d taken pics and video and left.
According to The Tennessean, the display put on by Lipscomb University President Randy Lowry has been slammed as offensive by students. To make matters even worse, in my opinion, this dinner was all about meeting and greeting students to chat more about their experiences at the majority-white school
Some of those students who attended, of course, were not impressed by the display. One student posted a picture to Instagram showing the centerpieces, adding in her caption that

Colin Kaepernick’s NFL Jersey Is Still Doing Well Even Though He Doesn’t Have An NFL Home
Colin Kaepernick still doesn’t have an NFL home, but that hasn’t ended his popularity as a former San Francisco 49ers quarterback. For a few months this year, he was leading the 49ers in jersey sales.
According to ESPN’s Darren Rovell, the free agent quarterback—a status that means he’s still available if the New York Jets or the Cleveland Browns admit that they need an upgrade at that position—led the 49ers in merchandise sales from March through May. I guess it doesn’t matter that Kaepernick is no longer with the team; his impact was felt over the five seasons he starred at quarterback.
Ohio ‘Food Stamp Millionaire’ Found Guilty of Welfare Fraud
Interesting other white folks are making him an immigrant. IDGAF if he’s an immigrant or not he benefited off of looking like a white man with generational wealth. And SOME white folks say black folks and immigrants live off welfare and want hand outs. GTOH
white and wealthy Ohio man was found guilty of accepting more than $8,300 in food stamps and other welfare benefits, including Medicaid, over a two-year period for his suburban family. The question now is, will he actually spend time in jail, or will being rich and white win out yet again?
According to WKYC, Pascal Mahvi, who has been dubbed the “Food Stamp Millionaire,” was convicted Friday of two fraud-related charges stemming from his acceptance and use of all the welfare benefits that are usually meant to be provided to those in need.
His sentencing is expected to come within the next four to six weeks, and prosecutors are supposedly seeking jail….

Darth Chad Shows Everyone Why He Was Fired From Goggle
SMDH The ignorance is REAL in this one.
In response to Trump’s anti-NFL rant, players’ union boss and Goodell trade statements; McCoy calls prez an ‘a–hole’
Hmmmmmm…..
Racism and bigotry does not make good business. Trust me their change of heart is not because of Kaep. These comments Trump made could hurt their money and viewership.
NFL and players’ union may have finally found some common ground. Donald Trump.
Both organizations released statements Saturday morning after Trump took aim at the league in an anti-NFL rant as part of a rambling speech during a campaign-style rally in Alabama Friday night.
“Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, say, ‘Get that son of a b—- off the field right now,” Trump said. “Out, you’re fired!’”
“Total disrespect of our heritage, a total disrespect of everything that we stand for,” the commander-in-chief added about the peaceful protest movement started last season by Colin Kaepernick….

Original article Thursday September 14th 2017
With his commanding stature and distinct voice, any time Bernie Casey appeared in a movie scene, he left others in his shadow. From blaxploitation films like Cleopatra Jones to even comedies like Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventures, Casey’s acting career ran the gamut. After a career that spanned more than 40 years, Casey, who was born in West Virginia and raised in Columbus, Ohio, died from an undisclosed illness Wednesday in Los Angeles at the age of 78.
Before even stepping foot in Hollywood, Casey was an accomplished athlete, going from playing for Bowling Green University to playing in the NFL for eight seasons. Casey’s athletic prowess would also eventually prove to be an asset on-screen.
