Chief Keef says he’s running for mayor of Chicago
CHICAGO — Rapper Chief Keef says he is running for mayor of Chicago. He announced his intentions on Twitter on Monday. Keef is angry with Mayor Rahm Emanuel for canceling a concert because the mayor’s office said it posed a significant public safety risk. “Yall gonna love me in the Office (sic),” Keef said in his Tweet. Emanuel was sworn in for a four year term in May.
The concert was held in Hammond, Ind., on Saturday, but it only lasted four minutes before police shut it down. Keef had to appear by hologram from Beverly Hills. He was unable to attend the concert in person because of outstanding warrants for his arrest in the city of Chicago. Critics say Chief Keef’s rap lyrics often promote drug use, gangs and violence. The concert was intended to raise money for Dillan Harris, the 13-month-old who was killed by a car trying to outrun police earlier this month. An associate of Chief Keef, fellow Chicago rapper Marvin Carr, had been shot and killed moments before, allegedly by the driver of that car.

Dothan man accused of mixing baby’s formula with alcohol
DOTHAN, AL (WSFA) –A Dothan man was arrested Thursday on child abuse charges. According to the Dothan Police Department, a 10-month-old baby was taken to the emergency room at Flowers Hospital after ingesting alcohol. Investigators believe 19-year-old Dontavian Lee McCree fed the child baby formula mixed with an alcoholic beverage. McCree was arrested and charged with torture and willful abuse of a child under 18. His bond was set at $15,000.

Laveen man stabs twin sons over money, housework
LAVEEN, AZ (KPHO/KTVK) –
A Laveen man who threatened to kill his twin sons stabbed and wounded them Saturday during an argument over money and housework, Phoenix police said. Officers said after attacking them, Randall Pipkin Sr., 53, walked outside the home and lit a cigarette. His two 22-year-old sons were rushed to the hospital. Randall Pipkin Jr. suffered a collapsed lung after he was stabbed in the area of his arm pit. Raymond Pipkin was stabbed in his right forearm. Illinois men bring 1-year-old along for robberies
WAUKEGAN, Ill. (AP) _ Police in northern Illinois say two men who carried out a string of robberies brought a 1-year-old child along with them for some of the heists. Michael Brown exhibit opened in Chicago
(CHICAGO) – A new art exhibit about the Michael Brown police shooting in Ferguson is on display in Chicago. The piece features a life-size portrayal of Michael Brown after he was killed last year in Ferguson. Details of this exhibit are in news link below:

Parents banished teen girl to tent after she ate a Pop-Tart, SC deputies say
DALZELL, SC (WNCN) — The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office arrested a husband and wife on child neglect charges Friday night after learning they were forcing their 14-year-old daughter to live in a tent in the woods more than a quarter-mile from their home. Crystal Lynn Driggers, 36, and James Allen Driggers, 33, both of the 3400 block of Ben Sanders Road in Dalzell, have each been charged with a single count of unlawful neglect of a child. Investigators learned the child had been denied entrance to her home for the past two days, and was expected to remain away from the home for a week, allegedly in an attempt to punish the child for eating a Pop-Tart. Now what kind of buffoonery is this? We done stories before where parents took drastic measures when punishing their children for EATING something. How serious was that pop tart? Did these parents forgot the dangers in leaving their child almost a mile away from their home ALONE in a tent? NO food is that important that they are willing to put their child’s life in danger just to punish them for eating it.
