Florida McDonald’s Employee Fights Back After Customer Attacks Her Over Straw
A man is under arrest after authorities say he grabbed the shirt of a Florida McDonald’s employee and tried to pull her over a counter.
The employee responded by punching the customer several times in the face at the St. Petersburg restaurant on Monday.
A witness who posted video on Facebook says the fight started when the customer asked for a straw.
St. Petersburg police say the video shows Daniel Taylor grabbing Yasmine James’ shirt. James responded by hitting him several times.
Police say Taylor is charged with two counts of simple battery for grabbing James and for kicking another worker in the stomach as he was being escorted out.
Taylor is white and James is black.
Taylor is being represented by the public defender’s office, which didn’t respond to a request for comment.

He then scrubbed his Instagram account of all the pictures.Likewise, Braxton also deleted all of her Instagram photos and posted a single one of her in a red dress.
Starting a new chapter isn’t always an easy choice…but ALWAYS choose to be chosen,” the caption read. “Cheers to a new year.” The pair are also not following each other on Instagram.Braxton and the Cash Money Records co-founder have reportedly been friends for years, but first went public with their romantic relationship in 2016 with an appearance at the BET Awards. They kept things pretty much under wraps, but the singer shared the engagement news in February, in a tweeted teaser for the sixth season of her family’s WE realty series, “Braxton Family Values.”Toni Braxton: ‘I’m engaged’Birdman made appearances on the show and Braxton could be seen wearing her reportedly $5 million engagement ring.In November it was reported that Braxton lost the ring after she left her luggage on a flight from New York to Los Angeles. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Expecting Fourth Child Via Surrogate
There’s a new little one heading West!
Kanye and Kim Kardashian West are expecting their fourth child via surrogate, PEOPLE has confirmed.
The baby on the way will join big siblings Chicago, 11 months, Saint, 3, and North, 5.
Although Kardashian West has made it clear that she loves being a mother, in August, a Keeping Up with the Kardashians source told PEOPLE that the 38-year-old reality star and rapper West, 41, weren’t “in a huge rush” to give their three children another sibling.
“They have absolutely talked about trying for another baby with the help of a surrogate, but nothing seems decided for sure,” said the insider, adding of the couple’s then-7-month-old daughter, who was the only one of their children to be born via gestational surrogate, “Chicago is still little, and they have time.”
“They don’t seem to be in a huge rush,” the source further revealed. “They would use the same surrogate if she agrees to help them again. Kim can’t say enough kind words about the surrogate.”
A second insider told PEOPLE, “Kim and Kanye were already talking about baby No. 4 when Chicago was just a couple of days old. And they absolutely would use the surrogate again. They love her.”
Kardashian West herself has expressed similar thoughts. As she said in an August interview with E! News after being asked if she and her husband were planning for a fourth child, “I don’t know. I read something that it was, you know — none of that was true.”
“But I’ve been really open about it and talked about it on our show, so I don’t know,” the KKW Beauty guru also told the outlet. “We start filming season 16 next week, so if I think about it more and it’s gonna happen, you’ll definitely see it on the show. But as of now, no.”
Though Kardashian West has been candid about her fears surrounding surrogacy and how she thinks it “is so much harder” than pregnancy, she opened up in May about how it ultimately was an overwhelmingly positive experience.
“I would have maybe one more [child],” she admitted. “I really, really enjoyed the surrogacy process. I will say, when it came to the breastfeeding time, I was like, ‘Okay, this is the best decision I ever made.’ “
“It’s a game changer, having to not go through [nursing] every few hours,” explained the soon-to-be mother of four. “I can spend so much more time with the older kids and getting them used to the baby.”
Fans walk out of Tiffany Haddish’s New Year’s Eve show
Like many people on New Year’s Eve, Tiffany Haddish had a night she’d probably like to forget.
While performing to a sold-out audience at the James L. Knight Center in Miami, Haddish reportedly bombed so hard on Monday night, several fans got up and walked out of the comedy show.
“This is going to be on TMZ or whatever,” the “Girls Trip” actress-comedian told the unhappy patrons.
Haddish, who confirmed the report on Tuesday, saying “Yes this happened…I wish it was better Miami,” apparently forgot several of her jokes and the ones she did recall, like her mother being in a mental institution or her friends asking for money, reportedly fell flat.
Haddish had previously admitted to partying the night before until 7 in the morning.
“This is weird for me,” Haddish said during the New Year’s show before grabbing a bottle of Ciroc and drinking onstage as she invited audience members to tell jokes as the hecklers and boos grew louder.
F–k it,” she said. “I really wanted to talk about some stuff and can’t remember none of it.”

Kanye West wants everyone to know he’s still team Trump
Kanye West’s bromance with President Trump appears alive and well as 2019 dawns — with the wacky rapper giving his pal a shout-out on Twitter, praising his MAGA hat and dropping hints that he could run for the White House in 2024.
“Trump all day” West tweeted at about 3:30 p.m. on New Year’s Day, a comment that got a decidedly mixed reaction from his followers.
“I have to assume this is a reference to a kid named Trump on the youth football team I coach. It’s his first name. He’s okay, but cries when I scream profanities at him, so he’s got a ways to go,” wrote Three Year Letterman.
But the rapper — whose F-bomb filled, cringe-worthy October visit to the White House appeared to leave even the president at a loss for words — was undeterred.
“Just so in 2019 you know where I stand,” he tweeted before apparently accusing Democrats of controlling black people.
“They will not program me. Blacks are 90% Democrats That sounds like control to me,” wrote West, Kim Kardashian’s other half.
While many fans supported West’s cryptic posts, others weren’t so sure.
“He’s so annoying lately omg,” tweeted a woman named rafael.
“WHY DO YOU HAVE TO DO THIS KANYE,” added sadboi.
But West took it all in stride.
“Love everyone,” he said in another tweet, adding minutes later that God was on his side.
“We will change the world. God is on my side. I am a Christian. I am a tax payer. I am myself. God is with us,” he wrote, followed up by another post: “Free thought.”
He then dropped the hint about the White House, tweeting only: “2024,” firing up some of his fans.
“President Kanye West and First Lady Kim Kardashian West RUN THAT S–T!!!” tweeted someone calling themselves NaeomiCampbell.
But not everyone was buying it, with one poster saying West needs psychiatric help.
“He’ll be committed by then .. you know ..51/50 Ward B s–t..it’s all in motion ..manic episode after manic episode..no one helping him..everyone a yes person….hospitalization will be coming,” declared CaliRams909.
But the rapper continued — praising Trump and defending wearing his MAGA hat, which he wore to the White House.
“One of my favorite of many things that the trump hat represents to me is that people can’t tell me who I should do because I’m black. That’s real racism,” he said in a tweet that was later deleted and reposted without the last sentence.“From now on I’m performing with my mutherf–king hat on.”
Confrontation over taco sauce leads to shooting at SW Oklahoma City Taco Bell
OKLAHOMA CITY – Police are searching for a man who fired several shots through a Taco Bell drive-thru window when he didn’t get the taco sauce he wanted.
It happened around 1:30 a.m. Monday at the Taco Bell near S.W. 59th and South Penn. When officers got to the scene of a shooting at that location, they learned what lead up to the bizarre ordeal.
“It appears that there was some type of confrontation with an employee through the drive-thru. A man was complaining about not getting enough sauce, or not getting any taco sauce and was very upset,” MSgt. Gary Knight with the Oklahoma City Police Department said.
According to police, the suspect then fired at least one round of gunshots through the drive-thru window.
“The suspect then entered the business, got out and came inside the business. The employees locked themselves in the bathroom. He apparently left. It’s unclear exactly what he did while he was in there as they were hiding,” Knight said.
The restaurant was left with shattered glass and a boarded up drive-thru window.
Thankfully, no employees were hurt by the bullets.
“Any time you’ve got people inside of a business and some person decides, for whatever reason, to fire bullets into that business, makes for a very dangerous situation and we’re extremely fortunate that nobody was hurt,” Knight said.
So far, no arrests have been made.

One county just swore in 17 black female judges in Texas
A new year brought the swearing-in of newly elected officials in Harris County, Texas, and among them were 17 black female judges.
The group of women, who were part of a local democratic campaign called “Black Girl Magic Texas,” first made history — and headlines — when they won their respective midterm elections in November. Together, they make up what is believed to be the largest group of black female judges to be elected at the same time in Harris County history.
The Harris County Democratic Party posted photos of the swearing-in ceremony, which took place on Tuesday morning.
“Today we usher in a new era of representative government and progressive leadership in Harris County,” the group wrote.
The public was invited to attend the ceremony, and images of the event from CNN affiliate KHOU show a packed house.
County Judge Lina Hidalgo was also sworn in on Tuesday. Hidalgo is a 27-year-old Colombian immigrant who unseated incumbent Republican Ed Emmett in November. At the time, Emmett had held the position of Country Judge for more than ten years.
Hidalgo has spoken at length about the importance of diversity in Harris County’s government. “We made history in Harris County on November 6 by electing a talented group of individuals who reflect the people and communities we serve,” she said in a press release for Tuesday’s ceremony. “That would not have been possible without the support of the residents of Harris County.”
Harris County, which includes Houston, is the largest county in the state. According to the most recent census data, 43% of people in Harris County are Hispanic, and nearly 20% of the county’s residents identify as African-American.

Customer fleeing nail salon to avoid payment runs over, kills employee
LAS VEGAS (FOX5/Meredith) — Las Vegas police said a woman avoiding payment to a salon ran over and killed a nail tech during a confrontation in the west valley on Saturday.
Police responded about 4:30 p.m. to the salon near Flamingo Road and Decatur Boulevard, said Las Vegas Metropolitan Police homicide Lt. Ray Spencer.
Spencer said a white woman in her 20s was in the salon paying for services when her card was declined. She told the employee she would get another payment from her car.
When she got to her car, Spencer said she attempted to flee without paying. The nail tech and her husband went out after the suspect.
The woman went in front of the suspect’s car and the suspect then ran her over. Spencer said the victim was dragged 50 feet and died at University Medical Center.
The suspect then fled the scene and her rental car was found in a nearby neighborhood. The suspect’s identity was still unknown and she had not been caught as of Saturday night.
Spencer urged the public to call 911 and “be a good witness,” rather than confront.
The victim’s identity will be release by the Clark County Coroner’s Office after next of kin has been notified.
