NBC ‘working’ with Gabrielle Union after her ‘America’s Got Talent’ exit
NBC says it’s working with Gabrielle Union after she lashed out at the network following her exit from “America’s Got Talent.”
Union reportedly complained to producers about a Korean joke made by guest star Jay Leno — and was distraught to get notes that her hair was “too black.”
Sources also said that show boss Simon Cowell wanted Union to come to him about her issues on set and not NBC.
Furious stars, including Ellen Pompeo, Ariana Grande, and Debra Messing came to her defense — as NBC insiders said they had no knowledge of some of Union’s complaints.
In a statement, NBC, alongside producers Freemantle and Syco, told Page Six: “We remain committed to ensuring a respectful workplace for all employees and take very seriously any questions about workplace culture.
“We are working with Ms. Union through her representatives to hear more about her concerns, following which we will take whatever next steps may be appropriate.”

Wendy Williams Shuts Down Robyn Crawford Romance Rumors: ‘I Like the D’
Wendy Williams is setting the record straight!
During the “Hot Topics” portion of The Wendy Williams Show on Tuesday, the talk show host addressed a recent report alleging that she had struck up a romance with her close friend, Robyn Crawford.
“In between commercials, I go on the googler-schmoogler and I go to Radar Online — speaking of how you doing — and I see that Rob Shuter, {producer} Norman, did you see that? He’s insinuating that something romantical is going on between me and Robyn Crawford,” Williams explained. “Look, Mr. Short Arms, friend of the show though, I am no lesbian.”
“I like women for friendship; I like men and I like the D,” she continued. “First of all, I’m not down with that, with all due respect to the lesbians. Second of all, Robyn is really married, she’s got kids and I’m not a homewrecker.”

Wendy Williams is setting the record straight!
During the “Hot Topics” portion of The Wendy Williams Show on Tuesday, the talk show host addressed a recent report alleging that she had struck up a romance with her close friend, Robyn Crawford.
“In between commercials, I go on the googler-schmoogler and I go to Radar Online — speaking of how you doing — and I see that Rob Shuter, Norman, did you see that? He’s insinuating that something romantical is going on between me and Robyn Crawford,” Williams explained. “Look, Mr. Short Arms, friend of the show though, I am no lesbian.”
“I like women for friendship; I like men and I like the D,” she continued. “First of all, I’m not down with that, with all due respect to the lesbians. Second of all, Robyn is really married, she’s got kids and I’m not a homewrecker.”
The report surfaced shortly after Crawford stopped by Williams’ show earlier this month, where she opened up about the late Whitney Houston. Crawford claims she had a physical relationship with Houston in the ’80s, which she also discusses in her newly released memoir, A Song for You: My Life With Whitney Houston.
Williams also made headlines on Monday, for saying that it’s “unforgivable” that Taylor Swift now has more American Music Awards than Michael Jackson.
“Prince, Madonna, Michael Jackson… she’s the queen of the American Music Awards,” Williams said. “Michael had 24, Taylor’s [now] got 29. Now when you think about that, and Artist of the Decade? Is she who’s been firing you up for the last 10 years?”
“But you know what? I think that taste has cheapened through the years in a lot of things,” she added. “The quality of clothes we buy, they get tattered and torn real quick, the quality of food we buy, we’re being poisoned by a lot of crap. Just life, in general, I think, has cheapened and I don’t mean this in a bad way to Taylor, I’m just — it’s unbelievable. Like, I appreciate her, but Artist of the Decade?”
In addition to Swift breaking records at the AMAs over the weekend, she also delivered an epic medley of her hits, including “Lover,” “Blank Space” and “I Knew You Were Trouble.”

Normani Reveals She Was Trying to Hide in Fifth Harmony
It’s hard to believe Normani—record-setting gymnast, former Fifth Harmonymember, star of a 69 million-viewed music video—is shy.
As was revealed in a newly published interview in Cosmopolitan, the 23-year-old “Motivation” singer has actually had “lifelong shyness,” an attribute that struck during her first solo performance as a young dancer.
According to the magazine, she “made her way to the spotlight, froze, and ran straight back to the wings.”
Of course, the star songstress has come a long way from that moment, having graced the stages of Ariana Grande‘s Sweetener World Tour, the MTV Video Music Awards, the Billboard Music Awards and many others.
As fans well know, she got her star in stardom thanks to The X Factor and the resulting group, Fifth Harmony. For more than five years, the women worked together, spawning hits like “Worth It,” “Sledgehammer” and “Work From Home” and weathering the exit of member Camila Cabello until their “indefinite hiatus” in 2018.
While Normani is now handling the spotlight solo, that wasn’t initially the shy star’s intention. “I remember always being asked, ‘Why do you wanna be in a girl group? So you can hide?'” she recalled to Cosmopolitan. “And that’s exactly what I was trying to do.”
Eventually, however, she didn’t want to hide anymore.
“I’m not sure what that turning point was,” she said, “but I was like, Normani is enough. You can be onstage and perform and you can be enough.”
Judging by her solo success, Normani was certainly not wrong. As for her former colleagues, they’re all seizing the opportunities they worked toward together.
“People do what people do—take the information they have and blow it up,” she told the magazine of the breakup rumors about the group. “I’m happy everyone has an opportunity ’cause we worked our a off. We do our own things. We’re good.”

Summer Walker Fans Claim She Was Late As They Stood In The Cold For Hours
Article via HotNewHipHop
The singer shared photos and videos of herself hanging out in the city while fans were reportedly waiting.
It was believed that now that Summer Walker has openly, and repeatedly shared her social anxiety struggles with her fans, they would be more sympathetic. The singer has canceled a bulk of her tour after being criticized in the media over her live shows and recently she even issued a sort of public service announcement to anyone attending her concert in Toronto.
“If y’all wanna see 2 splits, a back flip, an a Adele belt, & one Pusey pop this show is not for you,” she wrote on Instagram. <a href="https://www.hotnewhiphop.com/admin/article/edit/96565/
” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>”Lol just this is for wine sippers, blunt roller, & hand swayers.” However, fans took to Twitter to share their displeasure with the singer once again after many stated that she showed up late and left them waiting out in the cold. Summer uploaded clips of herself with boyfriend London On Da Track in Toronto and even posted a series of photos she took throughout the evening, including a snap with Drake.View this post on InstagramA post shared by Summer Walker (@summerwalker) on Nov 25, 2019 at 8:03pm PST
“Summer walker Toronto show has not started lmao it’s 10:30 ?,” one person wrote. Another tweeted, “I hope summer walker knows that toronto is the last city she needs clownin’ her. hit the stage sis.” Even with all of the complaints, there were some people who came to her defense, stating that if fans were left to wait in line outside in the cold, that’s the venue’s fault, not Summer’s doing. In one clip, it looked like the crowd was singing along and having a good time. Check it all out, along with some alleged firsthand accounts, below.

The robbers forced the two friends with whom he was traveling, actresses Vanessa Arias and Esmeralda Ugalde, out of the vehicle and then departed with Sandi inside. French tourist Frederic Michel, who was traveling separately, was also abducted in a similar incident.
Ugalde and Aria posted an Instagram video about the incident before Michel and Sandi were rescued.
A press release from the Secretariat of Citizen Security and Protection confirmed the recovery of the two men.
“After becoming aware of the fact, communication was established with the French Embassy, and research and intelligence work was carried out for the location of the victims, who once released, received the corresponding attention.”
No suspects have yet been identified.

Why R. Kelly Accuser Lisa Van Allen Isn’t Sold On His Former Girlfriend, Joycelyn Savage, Claims Against Him
R. Kelly is currently in jail facing charges of sex trafficking and abuse of minors in several states. Thanks to the brave women who are the alleged victims of his almost three decades of abuse, the singer could potentially be incarcerated for the remainder of his natural life if he’s found guilty. He has denied all charges brought against him in the Surviving R. Kelly six-part series and up until recently, he had the support of his two live-in girlfriends. One of his former girlfriends, Joycelyn Savage, is now claiming that like the other accusers, she was abused by him. Not everyone believes Savage’s claims, most notably R. Kelly’s ex-girlfriend and another alleged victim, Lisa Van Allen.
R. Kelly’s former girlfriend Joycelyn Savage says the singer abused her during their relationship
Savage first hinted that she was ready to tell her truth in a resurfaced Instagram account. First, she posted a warning captioned, “There’s something I need to reveal, something I should’ve talked about a long time ago. This is my story!”
She then posted a video announcing that she’d reveal her story in three posts on the subscription-based site Patreon.
In a series of posts, Savage revealed troubling details of alleged physical, psychological and sexual abuse. The 23-year-old says she met the singer when she was just 19 and he promised her a music career similar to that of his former protegee, Aaliyah. The two began dating and the once charming R. Kelly changed his tune.
Breaking a non-disclosure agreement that she allegedly signed while dating R. Kelly, Savage says that she was forced to call R. Kelly “daddy” and “master.” She alleged he slapped and choked her until she blacked out when she didn’t obey his orders. Furthermore, Savage claims R. Kelly used money to control her, withheld food before he forced her to participate in rehearsed on-camera interviews that he monitored closely and threatened to not release music that he worked on with her if she did something he considered wrong. Savage also said she became pregnant with R. Kelly’s baby on two separate occasions but she was forced to terminate the pregnancies.
Savage’s sister has spoken out since the released essays on Patreon and says she does not believe the social media accounts are being run by Savage, nor does she believe Savage wrote the essays.
R. Kelly accuser, Lisa Van Allen, doubts Joycelyn Savage’s story
Van Allen spoke with TMZ about Savage coming forward and says that Savage’s claims don’t add up. Van Allen appeared on the Lifetime docuseries and detailed her nice year relationship with the embattled singer. She too says that she was a victim of R. Kelly’s manipulation and abuse before she decided to walk away.
Though Van Allen doesn’t say that she doesn’t believe Savage was abused, she questions the validity of the account claiming to be Savage. She told TMZ on Nov. 25 that Savage’s claims about R.Kelly using condoms was a red flag because according to Van Allen, R. Kelly doesn’t use protection.
She added that Savage’s claim that she was being held back from speaking out against R. Kelly is odd considering he’s currently imprisoned. Van Allen believes that R. Kelly is a monster but questions why Savage is speaking openly now.
Prior to her appearance on TMZ Live, Van Allen spoke out about Savage on Instagram, commenting on a post by The Shade Room admitting that Savage being paid to tell her story on Patreon lessened her credibility.

NBA Baller Patrick Patterson Defended His White Wife By Calling Black Women ‘Bulldogs’
Article via HelloBeautiful
Dear Black men, who marry White women, be with your Ween (White queen) and go. NBA star Patrick Patterson is apologizing after calling Black women “bulldogs,” because you know… he couldn’t defend his White wife without bashing the entire race of Black women.
A fan commented under a photo of Patterson and his wife Sarah Nassar, questioning why Black male athletes wait until their rich to choose partners of a different race and added that Nassar probably wouldn’t have given him a chance, as a Black man, if he wasn’t an athlete.
“So I should settle for a bulldog and act like I’m happy with my life and preach ‘keep it in your race’ to the world as if Dr. King didn’t fight/die for equality, acceptance, all cultures loving one another, and no hate?” Patterson responded.
Patterson had the right to be offended by the fan’s rude comment, but here’s where he went wrong. Instead of coming directly for that person, he dissed all Black women by calling them “bulldogs.”
The old exchanged resurfaced on social media, leading to backlash then an apology, of course.
“I want to address my use of the word ‘bulldog’ during a conversation with someone who I felt was making disrespectful remarks about my wife and our relationship, I responded with the same, making a cruel comment on his wife’s physical stature,” he wrote. “I know that two wrongs don’t make a right, but I let my emotions get the best of me in the heat of the moment. For that I apologize to him, his wife, and the rest of his family for the hurtful and crude comments made on that day.”
Here’s the thing Patterson, you can defend your Ween without damning all of Black women. Interracial dating isn’t a new concept, nor are the conversations surrounding the Black men who choose to be with White woman. Particularly, after they’ve attained a certain level of affluence. In the words of Kanye, “And when they get on, they leave your a** for a White girl.”
Much of the narrative centers around white women being a symbol of social economic status. A trophy. In addendum, that Black women are disposable after surviving the struggle with a man to only be dropped as soon as the struggle is over. Then there’s the other half of it, of Black men who hate Black women because their standard of beauty is rooted in Eurocentric views.
Patterson praised his wife for having a one-of-a-kind “heart,” which wholeheartedly may be his truth but his use of the term “bull frog” and the proximity to self-hate feels too close for comfort.

Bill Cosby shows no remorse in first interview from prison: ‘It’s all a set up’
Bill Cosby is speaking out from prison.
Over a year after he was first incarcerated for the sexual assault of Andrea Constand, the disgraced actor and comedian — who is serving three to 10 years — has given his first interview. In it, the 82-year-old maintained his innocence from his Pennsylvania correctional institution, Phoenix, which is located outside Philadelphia, and, because of that, he expects to serve the entire sentence. Cosby also called his trial a “set up” and the jurors “imposters.”
“I have eight years and nine months left,” Cosby told National Newspaper Publishers Association’s BlackPressUSA.com, clearly not believing he will leave prison on the early side of his sentence. “When I come up for parole, they’re not going to hear me say that I have remorse. I was there. I don’t care what group of people come along and talk about this when they weren’t there. They don’t know.”
Cosby, who is appealing his sentence, said his trial was “all a set up. That whole jury thing. They were imposters.”
Cosby referred to an incident after the jury was selected when an alternate juror claimed to have overheard a seated juror say that Cosby was guilty. While the issue was raised by Cosby’s legal team with the judge, that judge apparently found insufficient evidence of it because the juror remained.
“It’s something attorneys will tell you is called a payoff,” Cosby said.
He tied his sentence to racial injustice, saying, “I know what they’ve done to my people. But my people are going to view me and say, ‘That boy looks good. That boy is strong.’ I have too many heroes that I’ve sat with. Too many heroes whom I listened to like John Henrik Clarke, Kenneth Clark, and Dorothy Height. Those people are very strong, and they saw the rejection of their people. This is political. I can see the whole thing.” (He previously compared himself to political prisoners including Martin Luther King Jr., Gandhi and Nelson Mandela.)
But Cosby — who is in general population with prisoners who serve as his helpers, due to his age and being legally blind — called himself a “privileged man in prison.” He also called his small cell his “penthouse.”
The interview took place over several phone calls and Cosby’s spokesperson, Andrew Wyatt, on the line for each one. A Pennsylvania Department of Corrections spokesperson tells Yahoo Entertainment that “reporters are like any other visitor. They need to be on the inmate approved visitor list for an in-person visit, or they can do it via phone,” which is how Cosby’s interview was conducted.
Much of the interview centered on what Cosby says he’s doing to help his fellow black inmates while incarcerated. He said he frequently speaks at the prison reform program Mann Up’s meetings, which are meant to encourage and empower African American inmates. Of course, prior to his conviction Cosby was famously critical of the African-American community — and acknowledged that. He said he probably shouldn’t have given his infamous 2004 “Pound Cake speech,” in which he criticized poor blacks for not living up to the promise of the civil rights movement.
“They are under siege,” he said of African Americans. “This thing with the drugs and the different pockets of the neighborhoods where it’s going on. When you look at what drugs are doing … things that make these people drive around and shoot into crowds. The insanity of what is the cause to the brain by all the drugs these people are dealing with. It’s exactly what I warned them about in 2004. They’ve thrown education out the window. They’ve thrown respect for the family out the window, and they’re blaming each other for what’s going on. There is post-traumatic stress syndrome, and there are also bad manners.”
But Cosby said he’s helping his fellow inmates, some of whom went on the record for the interview.
“I’m not a psychiatrist, and I’m not a psychologist,” Cosby said. “I’m an educator, and what I look forward to is talking to this group of 400 or so men. Some of them here are in their 70s, in their 50s, their 40s, 30s, and 20s. I tell them what I know and what I feel. I feel that everything that I said in 2004, there is a light [behind it]. The mistake I made [in 2004] is making it sound like all the people were making the infractions, and that’s not true.”
One of the inmates talked about how Cosby enters the lectures “with his fist in the air and all of these men rise up and applaud him.”
Cosby seems to have a lot of pull on the inside. He also claimed he talked one of the inmates into calling off a hit.
“I heard a guy say to someone that if someone did something he didn’t like, he’d go out and get all his boys and they’d kill the fella,” Cosby recalled. “I said, how much sense does that make? You call your boys, and they want to kill him. I said to look at all the people you’ve got involved, and when you get caught, you are all going to jail, and you got one dead fella. ‘Call if off,’ I told the guy. I said to him that you need to call your friends, too.”
Cosby also used the interview as a platform to blame race, not his conviction or the accusations of sexual misconduct by 60 some women, for being behind his iconic show The Cosby Show being pulled from the air. He said it was a conspiracy to remove the positive representation of black characters.
“When The Cosby Show came on with the Huxtables, just think about it. While it was running, other networks and even the media were doing jobs on trying to belittle whatever it represented,” Cosby said.“They did not like what The Cosby Show looked like for us, and many of us traded into it. Now, look at what has happened. They’ve taken everything that I’ve done and swept it into a place where it would not be shown.”
In April 2018, Cosby was convicted of three counts of aggravated indecent assault, for drugging and sexually assaulting Temple University employee Constand in 2004. In September of that year, he was sentenced to three to 10 years in prison with the judge ruling that the TV star is a “sexually violent predator.” He was taken into custody immediately. In June, he appealed his conviction.

Wendy Williams Shades Taylor Swift’s Artist Of The Decade Award: ‘Taste Has Cheapened’
Wendy Williams may have just angered Taylor Swift fans after her AMAs recap on her November 25 talk show. The host admitted that while she loves Tay’s catchy songs, she doesn’t think the singer should’ve been named Artist of the Decade.
Wendy Williams had her studio audience in utter shock with her comments about Taylor Swift, following the singer’s big night at the American Music Awards on November 24. The talk show host, 55, threw shade at the Grammy-winning artist, 29, while discussing her Artist of the Decade award she was honored with at the annual show, along with five other awards. Wendy even said it’s “unforgivable” that Taylor has more AMAs than other music icons including, Madonna, Michael Jackson and Prince.
“Taylor Swift made history, which is unbelievable to me,” Wendy began, nothing that although she’s not the biggest “Swifty,” she’s still a fan of the “Lover” singer. “So, good for her, she won six awards. She has a total of 29 awards, which sounds unbelievable, but what sounds unforgivable is that she’s got more awards than Michael Jackson, Prince, and Madonna,” Wendy continued.
The host went on to question Taylor’s influence over this past decade. “Artist of the Decade? Is she who’s been firing you up for the last 10 years? “, she polled her studio audience. “I think taste has cheapened through the years and a lot of things… Life in general I think has cheapened,” Wendy said before she gave examples of “tattered” clothing and “poisonous” food.
Wendy concluded with a disclaimer that, “I don’t mean this in a bad way to Taylor… I appreciate her.” However, “Artist of the Decade?”, she questioned once more before moving on.
If you missed last night’s show, Taylor was honored with the coveted Artist of the Decade award after she performed a medley of her biggest hits. Legendary songwriter, Carole King presented the award to Taylor, whose parents were proudly sitting in the audience.
