Fetty Wap Ordered To Pay Ex-Employee $1.1M & Help Restore Her Reputation
Fetty Wap has been ordered to pay a former tour staffer over $1.1 million for defamation and breach of contract.
According to Bossip, Shawna Morgan sued the rapper and his Goodfella4life Entertainment company for not reimbursing her thousands of dollars in touring costs after 2017. While Morgan was supposed to be paid between five and 10 percent of Fetty’s performance profits, she was regularly expected to cover up-front touring expenses, which Fetty was supposed to reimburse.
Besides owing Morgan upwards of $242,000, Fetty also publicly claimed that she had stolen money from him and was double-dipping by charging both Goodfella4life Entertainment and their clients. Morgan fired back against his alleged slander with her lawsuit, claiming that Fetty had damaged her business reputation.
A judge initially sided with Morgan because Fetty didn’t respond to the suit. However, he appealed to have the case reinstated, and he and Morgan went to arbitration, where he was ordered to pay her $160,000. Rather than pay the ordered amount, Fetty demanded that the suit be taken to trial, where the jury ultimately sided with Morgan and added over $800,000 to his tab.
Along with paying $1.1 million for defamation and breach of contract, Fetty is also required to issue retractions for press outlets that reported his false claims, post public retractions on his social media accounts and take out ad space in “prominent entertainment publications” to restore Morgan’s name.
So far, the rapper hasn’t posted any redacting statements on his social media profiles. This past Valentine’s Day (February 14), he released his seven-track Trap & B EP.

Netflix, director sued over Central Park 5 series
Former Manhattan prosecutor was portrayed by Felicity Huffman in ‘When They See Us’
Former Manhattan prosecutor Linda Fairstein has sued Netflix and film director Ava DuVernay over her portrayal in the streaming service’s miniseries about the Central Park Five case, which sent five black and Latino teenagers to prison for a crime they were later absolved of committing.
Fairstein claims in the lawsuit, filed Wednesday in federal court in Fort Myers, Florida, that the four-part series “When They See Us” defamed her by portraying her as a “racist, unethical villain.”
“Most glaringly, the film series falsely portrays Ms. Fairstein as in charge of the investigation and prosecution of the case against the five, including the development of the prosecution’s theory of the case,” Fairstein’s lawyer, Andrew Miltenberg, said in a statement. “In truth, and as detailed in the lawsuit, Ms. Fairstein was responsible for neither aspect of the case.”
Fairstein was the top Manhattan sex crimes prosecutor in 1989 when the five teenagers were charged with a vicious attack on a jogger in Central Park. The convictions were overturned in 2002 after convicted murderer and serial rapist Matias Reyes confessed to committing the crime alone. DNA linked him to it.
Fairstein, who became a best-selling crime author after retiring from the Manhattan district attorney’s office, observed the boys’ interrogation but didn’t personally try the case.
Fairstein was dropped by her publisher and resigned from several boards she served on after “When They See Us,” which dramatizes the events surrounding the trial, debuted last year.
Netflix called Fairstein’s lawsuit “frivolous” and said in a statement, “We intend to vigorously defend ‘When They See Us’ and Ava DuVernay and Attica Locke, the incredible team behind the series.”
Emails seeking comment were sent to a representative for DuVernay and to Locke, a writer and producer of the series who was named as a defendant in the lawsuit.

Let’s talk about Central Park Five -“when they see us” by Ava Duvernay
Who Was Madam C.J. Walker’s Daughter A’Lelia And What Happened To Her?
She played a huge role in her mother’s success
If you’ve seen Netflix’s Self Made: Inspired by the Life of Madam C.J. Walker, then you know all about Sarah Breedlove (a.k.a. Madam C.J Walker), one of America’s first self-made female millionaires. The film follows Madam C.J., played by Octavia Spencer, on her journey to developing a black haircare empire. But she didn’t do it alone.
Her daughter, A’Lelia Walker, played by Tiffany Haddish, also had a significant role in the success of her mother’s company and eventually took over the business. Unfortunately, A’Lelia passed away in 1931 in the same way her mother did—from hypertension, according to a blog run by Madam C.J. Walker’s great-great granddaughter, A’Lelia Bundles.
But before she died, A’Lelia Walker accomplished a lot, not just for her mother’s company but for the black community at the time. Here’s everything we know about Madame C.J. Walker’s daughter, A’Lelia Walker.
A’Lelia was born Lelia McWilliams.
A’Lelia Walker was born as Lelia, according to Bundles. At 2-years-old, her father, Moses McWilliams died and Madam C.J.raised her as a single mother. The two moved to St. Louis to live with three of Madam C.J.’s brothers. Eventually, the mogul remarried to a man named Charles Walker (hence the name Madam C.J. Walker). A’Lelia took the Walker name to identify more closely with her mother’s business, according to Bundles’ blog. Here’s a photo of the real A’lelia Walker getting her nails done at one of Madam C.J.’s salons:
She moved to New York to expand the business.
In 1913, Madam C.J. purchased two townhouses on 136th Street in Harlem, according to the National Trust for Historic Preservation. She and A’Lelia hired an architect to combine the properties into one unit. Once complete, the first floor was used as the Walker Hair Parlor, the basement was the Lelia College of Beauty Culture, where new hires were trained, and the top three floors were used by A’Lelia to live and entertain.
A’Lelia was married three times.
Although
the Netflix docuseries hints that A’Lelia might have been interested in
women, she never admitted to it. In fact, A’Lelia was married three
times—all of her partners men, according to Bundles. You meet A’Lelia’s first husband in Self-Made—John
Robinson, the hotel worker who dreamed of opening a juke joint. Well,
you saw how that turned out. In 1919, A’Lelia reportedly married Dr.
Wiley Wilson after her mom died. And her third husband was another
doctor and World War I captain, James Kennedy.
Madam C.J. Walker’s Irvington, NY mansion was named after A’Lelia.
When Madam C.J moved to New York to be closer to her daughter she purchased a mansion in Irvington, New York for $250,000 (which was $$ back then!), according to the NY Post. The home was 20,000 square-feet, had a swimming pool, marble floor, and was in the same neighborhood as the Rockefeller family, which was shown in Self Made.
The mansion came to be called the Villa Lewaro, after Leila Walker Robinson (remember Robinson, her first husband?), according to NPR. Take the first two letters of her first, middle, and last name: Le-Wa-Ro.
She was played a major role in the Harlem Renaissance for the black and queer community.
Although the film paints A’Lelia as having her head in the clouds, she was a serious businesswoman. Before taking over the company when her mother died, A’Lelia ran the east coast operations of the business, according to Bundles’ blog. And when A’lelia moved to Harlem, she made a name for herself fundraising for charities and founding the Harlem Debutantes Club.
She
was also known for her lavish parties at both her home in Irvington and
at her Manhattan salon, known as The Dark Tower. “They provided a safe,
welcoming environment for queer people at a time when there were few
other social options available. While she herself was not known to be
lesbian or bisexual, Walker’s parties were places where anyone could
express their sexuality however they pleased,” NPR reported.
Many of Harlem Renaissance’s finest came to A’Lelia’s parties, including Langtson Hughes, Countee Cullen, and Carl Van Vechten. Hughes called her “the joy goddess of Harlem’s 1920s,” according to NPR.

RuPaul’s Drag Race queens launch digital concert festival amid coronavirus pandemic
All-Stars 4 winner Trinity The Tuck tells EW about the online drag festival featuring Alaska, Monét X Change, Manila Luzon, Peppermint, Nina West, and more: ‘I have a hazmat suit. Trust, I’m pulling out all the stops!
Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the stage glowing screen in the comfort of your own home: All of the RuPaul’s Drag Race icons you can’t see at the club this weekend because you’re in coronavirus quarantine!
As the world’s population locks down amid the spread of COVID-19, EW can exclusively reveal powerhouse drag management company Producer Entertainment Group has partnered with webcast site Stageit to bring performances from some of the biggest names in contemporary drag directly to you, as bars, restaurants, and live entertainment venues continue to close around the world.
With tickets starting at $10 per show, the PEG Presents: Digital Drag Fest! online festival will unite drag superstars Alaska, Divina De Campo, Ginger Minj, Jackie Beat, Jiggly Caliente, Jinkx Monsoon, Jujubee, Manila Luzon, Miz Cracker, Monét X Change, Nina West, Peppermint, Sharon Needles, Sherry Vine, Trinity The Tuck, and country singer Brandon Stansell for a week-long slate of web-based concerts.
Each 30-minute, all-ages installment will be a unique experience, as Stageit does not record or re-release its content. Tickets are limited (beginning at 100 per show) to keep audience sizes intimate, though attendees will have opportunities to interact with the artists, tip them, and potentially win prizes during the broadcast.
As drag artists around the world continue to lose money with the coronavirus pandemic forcing performance venues into closure, Trinity tells EW the show is meant to serve as “a distraction from what’s going on in the world,” recalling the “escape from reality” provided by a typical night out at a drag show (outings that aren’t currently possible amid government-mandated closings of public gathering spaces).
“[Drag artists] give an experience to give people. It’s relief mentally, emotionally, or comically, and when you’re not able to do that while sequestered in your house, you can watch this online streaming show from home and, for 30 minutes, have fun with whoever they’re watching,” the All-Stars 4 winner says, adding that it also stands to forge new ground for drag queens and kings as they lose work around the country, offering an alternative to live performances that could provide supplemental income for gig-to-gig workers even after the pandemic ends.
“This might be something we want to put on [regularly] because certain areas of the country or the world can’t get to a show or it might be too expensive to get there,” Trinity explains. “People of drag and the LGBTQ community are extremely resilient. We have to be. We’ve always been that way, and this is going to show one of the ways we can take a bad situation and turn it around and make something positive out of it.”
For Trinity, that means decking out her home for a jaw-dropping performance full of vignettes “poking fun at being quarantined in your house.” And, yes, she will serve hazmat suit eleganza. Literally.
“I’m going to do songs that [feel right] on a coronavirus playlist, like MC Hammer’s ‘U Can’t Touch This,'” the queen says. “I ordered drop cloths from Amazon. I’m going to make a section of my house to look like a quarantine zone. I have a hazmat suit. Trust, I’m pulling out all the stops for this little show I’m putting on in my house!”
Drag Race ladies aren’t the only celebrities continuing to entertain fans in quarantine, with Miley Cyrus, who recently launched her Bright Minded: Live daily web series featuring celebrity guest interviews, and actor Ben Platt, who mounted a digital dance party with his followers, launching their own online-only events as well.
Amid the increasingly competitive digital performance space, Trinity assures fans her show will be one of the safest around: “Come see my show! Log in for $10.00!” she pleads with a laugh. “Stay six feet away from your screens!”

Miley Cyrus Tells Hailey Bieber Why She Left Her Church
Miley Cyrus and Hailey Bieber not only grew up as friends, but also both grew up in the Christian church, a major topic they discussed ahead of their beauty tutorial on Cyrus’ latest Bright Minded Instagram Live episode Friday (March 20).
When the two landed on the R of the Instagram Live series title — which stands for Reliable sources — Bieber listed family members, friends, therapists, random strangers, pets and church parishioners, which shifted the conversation to another important R in both of their lives: religion. Bieber, who shares the same fervor for her spirituality as husband Justin Bieber, explained to Cyrus, “I think there’s a difference between being raised in church and then being an adult and having your own relationship with God…. I feel like I’ve found my footing with spirituality and faith and church. I’ve found a church community that works for me where I feel supported and loved and accepted.”
But that core group wasn’t a dependable source of comfort for Cyrus during her young adult years.
“I was raised going to church as a believer, and that was a really important part of my life. And I kind of fell off that path a little bit because I think I had a hard time finding a relationship with God that worked for me as an adult,” Cyrus confirmed. “I think what I just took away from you is I’m allowed to decide what my relationship is with spirituality as an adult that doesn’t have to be aligned with the way it was when I was brought up.”
She continued, “I was also brought up in the church in Tennessee at a time in the ’90s, so it was a less accepting time with all that. I had some gay friends in school that the reason why I left my church is that they weren’t being accepted. They were being sent to conversion therapies. And I had a really hard time with that and I had a hard time with me finding my sexuality too. So I think you now telling me that I’m allowed to redesign my relationship with God as an adult and make it how it feels most accepting to me would make me feel so less turned off by spirituality.”
Cyrus came out as pansexual in 2015 and disclosed in a 2016 interview with Variety that her upbringing in “a very religious Southern family” encumbered her development as a middle school girl figuring out her sexual identity and entering her first relationship with another girl. “The universe has always given me the power to know I’ll be OK,” she said at the time. “Even at that time, when my parents didn’t understand, I just felt that one day they are going to understand.”
And the “Slide Away” singer confessed she still feels like her parents have a major presence in her spiritual life.
“I think that I’m in this quadruple-thruple relationship with God where it’s me and my parents and God,” she said during the live show. “If I could remove them and it can become my relationship with the higher power… now that feels way less intimidating and I can just talk to God directly rather than it being me and my parents having a conversation.”

Nick Cannon’s ‘Wild ‘N Out’ Star Hitman Holla Arrested— Was he Racially Profiled?
St. Louis rapper, actor and comedian, Gerald Fulton, Jr. p.k.a. Hitman Holla was pulled over a minor driving violation in Atlanta, Thurs. March 19. However, things were swiftly elevated as he was pulled out of his car for having an outstanding warrant and then later arrested for having a vehicle that was possibly stolen.
His manager said that that is not true.
Many believe this is a case of racial profiling. What do you think?
The artist was hanging out with his friend John John da Don and his manager, PB when he reportedly observed that the police were following him for no reason. The police were believed to have been following the two influencers for a while before stopping them. It is reported from the video, that the car’s VIN’s number was looked up, and the officers were trying to see if they matched the license on the car.
In an Instalive, John John da Don reports:
“They asked Hitman to get out the car… they are asking this man how much he paid for the car… what that got to do with anything.”
“The n*gga was following us for like four exits. Then pulled us over for something we just did (crossing lanes).”
John John reveals that the cops did ask for the usual license and registration, but was thrown off when they asked the Wild ‘N Out star how much he paid for the car. That was when he decided to go live on Instagram.
“That’s crazy. We don’t know what this n*gga got going on. They done asked Hitman to step out of the car. For what? They asked him how much he paid for the car and told him to step out. Told him that they pulled him over because of a lane change.”
JJDD tells the fans that the police called for back up and requested to see that VIN number. It was then that they put cuffs on the MTV star, and his two friends were in disbelief.
When the police officers came back to the car, it is uncovered that Hitman supposedly has a warrant out for his arrest.
His manager tells him that can’t be true. While it is unclear what exactly happened, the video shows JJDD being asked to step out of the car that the three of them were driving in.
The police then say that the car is bad and that no one can drive it. The officer shares that the VIN numbers have been tampered with and so the police took it to have it verified.
The last statement you hear is the police asking the manager and JJDD to call an Uber to get them back to their destination. He was arrested “possession of a vehicle with an altered VIN number and also the license plate is not legitimate.”
Hopefully, everything is straightened out. The manager reiterates that Hitman is innocent.

Nick Cannon Admits To Missing His Shot With Amara La Negra
Nick Cannon got a little hot under the collar during his interview with Amara La Negra.
Host of “The Masked Singer” Nick Cannon has had some high profile relationships in his time. He was married to Mariah Carey for eight years, during which they became parents to twins, Marilyn and Moroccan. Following the pair’s split, Nick started seeing model Brittany Bell and they welcomed a son, Golden “Sagon” Cannon in 2017. Since then, rumors have circulated about who Nick is hooking up with, with the latest whisper involving model Jasmine Sanders.
Witnesses say that they spotted the radio show host with German-American model on dates around December, but as Nick stated during his interview with Amara, he is currently a single man. The reason this is important is because there was some serious flirting going on with Nick and the “There’s No Way” singer.
Amara is, of course, single herself. Fans of “Love & Hip Hop: Miami” were glued to their screens as they watched her relationship with Emjay heat up — and then explode. Nick told the singer that he had experienced strong pangs of jealousy when he realized she had a boyfriend while watching the reality show.
“It’s not like you didn’t have your opportunities, right? I mean, don’t test me, ’cause I’ll take it there,” the 29-year-old teased. Nick responded by saying that she was making him a tad uncomfortable, but that he was moving in his seat to get closer to her.
Amara posted on Instagram two weeks ago that after filming the latest season of “Love & Hip Hop”, she is keen to refocus and get back to doing music. But we think a new romance with Nick Cannon could spice things up nicely.
Twitter Declares That ‘Kanye West Is Over’ After His Unedited Phone Call With Taylor Swift Leaks
Article via CheatSheet
Just when we think we’ve finally reached the end of the infamous Kanye West and Taylor Swift feud, another piece of vital information surfaces. In Swift’s recent Netflix documentary, Miss Americana, we got to see the VMA interruption from an entirely new perspective. At the time of the unfortunate incident, Swift believed that she was the one being booed not West. But, of course, a lot has happened between the two since that faithful day in 2009.
Taylor Swift BLASTS Kanye during her Grammys speech #reloaded
A quick recap of The Taylor Swift and Kanye West feud
Back in 2016, West reignited the feud when he released his song “Famous” and referenced the “You Belong With Me” singer. “For all my Southside ni**as that know me best. I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex
Why?
I made that bi*ch famous (God da*n) I made that b*tch famous,” the song
boasts. This lyric clearly hurt Swift’s feelings and she referenced it during her Grammy’s speech soon thereafter.
Kim Kardashian West gets involved
But, things got interesting when West claimed that he had gotten Swift’s permission to use said lyrics.”I called Taylor and had an hour-long convo with her about the line and she thought it was funny and gave her blessings,” West shared. Fans weren’t sure who to believe until West’s wife, Kim Kardashian West, released a video of the phone conversation where it appeared that Swift did actually give permission to West. The 39-year-old reality star also implied that Swift was a snake when releasing the footage.
Immediately, thousands of people began rallying behind West. They seized the opportunity to paint the Red singer as a liar. She even began trending on Twitter with #TaylorSwiftIsOverPary. Swift immediately tried to take control of the situation. She released a statement saying that she never heard the final lyrics of the song, and never once did West say that he was going to refer to her a bi*ch.
Kim Kardashian PROVES that Taylor Swift lied on Kanye~The internet goes CRAZY part 1
Swift shared her side of the story on Instagram
“Where is the video of Kanye telling me he was going to call me ‘that b-tch’ in his song? It doesn’t exist because it never happened. You don’t get to control someone’s emotional response to being called ‘that b*tch’ in front of the entire world. Of course I wanted to like the song. I wanted to believe Kanye when he told me that I would love the song. I wanted us to have a friendly relationship. He promised to play the song for me, but he never did,” Swift began about West in a since-deleted Instagram post.
Swift concluded the statement by saying that she no longer wanted to be a part of the conversation.”Being falsely painted as a liar when I was never given the full story or played any part of the song is character assassination. I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never been asked to be a part of, since 2009,” the “All Too Well” singer wrote, referencing the infamous VMA incident.

She also says that she needs to think about it and hear the song before she can give her blessing. Furthermore, the lyrics that West shared with Swift were not the ones that ended up on the song.

It’s certainly great that the truth is finally out there about the situation.
