“I Was A THOT” Gabrielle Union Advised A Young Steph And Ayesha Curry To Break Up And Sleep With Other People
Who knew that Gabrielle Union, Dwyane Wade and Steph and Ayesha Curry were friends? I mean it makes sense considering both of their husbands are or were in the NBA but based on a conversation the two had over Instagram Live this past weekend, there is a history there going back to the 90’s.
Dwyane jokingly shares that his wife was on some different things in 1998.
Dwyane: In 98, you was rollin. She was a thot in 98.
Gabrielle agreed.
Gabrielle: I was! Listen, I enjoyed my life. And that is the exact advice I gave to Ayesha and a young Steph at D. Rice’s 25th birthday party.
The three of them bust out laughing.
Ayesha: It all comes out!
Gabrielle: I was like, ‘You guys, the likelihood of this working out is very low. You should just break up now and have sex with other people.’ I used different language but is that not what I told y’all both?
Ayesha: You looked at me and said, ‘How old are you?…Okay…’
Gabrielle: Precisely because I was a thot.
Dwyane: I apologize on behalf of the Wade family. That’s not who we are anymore.
Gabrielle: Uh…I still might give the same advice.
Given the fact that the two met as teenagers and married in 2011, when Ayesha was 22 and Steph was 23, it doesn’t sound like ridiculous advice. Most people should hold off on long term commitments in their early twenties. But that wasn’t Steph and Ayesha’s story and thankfully they recognized what was best for them and didn’t listen to the well-intentioned Union.
The clip of the conversation, captured by The Jasmine Brand, ended with Gabrielle showering them with compliments about how they’ve remained true to their authentic selves over the years.
Gabrielle: There are very, very few people I’ve met who have been consistent. I mean, I’ve known you guys for well over a decade. There’s a lot of people who talk about faith and there’s a lot of people who talk about moving the culture forward but something isn’t real somewhere. When people are like, ‘Are they real? Are they really…?’ And I’m like, ‘Yes.’ They’re some of the only people I’ve met who have been consistent from the first time I saw them to every time I speak to you guys. Whether that’s me and Ayesha texting each other encouragement like, ‘Girl, keep your head up. You got this.’ And she returns the favor. You guys have been consistent. And I wish more people understood that it is possible to be people of faith and also wanting to move the culture forward.

Diddy Reveals He Was Hidden Upstate Amid Biggie’s Death
Article via TheSource
A Verzuz battle with Diddy is in high-demand, but the mogul thinks his catalog is too extensive to battle against anyone. But we’ve got just the person who can go toe-to-toe with the Hip Hop legend: Dr. Dre.
On Friday Puff told Fat Joe on Instagram live that “we’re definitely talking about it.”
Swizz Beatz previously suggested that this battle needs to be a “pay-per-view event” during an Instagram live session with Timbaland. “We need Dr. Dre versus P. Diddy Pay-per-view for the culture,” Swizz Beatz said. “Let’s bring the two kings in and give back to the people. This is a give back to the people.”
But the two moguls have a fortune between them and can spare an hour of free content for the culture. The young generation deserves this educational moment to get a virtual feel of the game-changing East Coast vs. West Coast beef.Advertisement
Elsewhere during his conversation with who he called the “Puerto Rican Oprah,” Diddy revealed that he hid upstate for two weeks after his artist and friend, Notorious B.I.G. was gunned down in Los Angeles. “The day I made ‘Missing You’ was the first day I went out the house. First, they went and hid me upstate somewhere. They were concerned about me, like my family, for like two weeks.”

Demi Lovato on cutting ties with her exes, including Wilmer Valderrama and Joe Jonas: I realized it ‘wasn’t healthy’
Demi Lovato is elaborating on her decision to narrow her inner circle.
The singer and actress recently revealed that she no longer speaks to Selena Gomez or exes Joe Jonas and Wilmer Valderrama — and her change in management team has been well documented. She says that trimming her circle was part of an effort to “set boundaries” as part of treatment for her 2018 near-fatal overdose. Since then she’s cut out ‘toxic people” from her life.
“I’ve had to cut a lot of toxic people out of my life over the last year,” Lovato admitted on Jameela Jamil’s I Weigh podcast. “I kind of used to have this mentality that if I had a negative experience with someone I always needed to mend it or I always needed to make things right.”
She continued, “The fact of the matter is, I’m not really friends with any of my exes today because I had to realize that that wasn’t healthy either. Trying to maintain close friendships with some of my exes just isn’t realistic. There’s actually a reason why people don’t do that.”
Lovato said, “For so long people would be like, ‘How are you still friends with your exes?’ I’d be like, ‘I don’t know! I just am.’ That was because I was afraid of fully letting go of people. Now that I’ve been able to fully let go of people, that is another thing I had to learn when it comes to cutting toxic people out of your life. If they’re an ex, it’s for a reason.”
She called “learning to set boundaries” the “steepest learning curve” she’s had. “I had to learn that by not setting boundaries, it put me in the position that I was in. Talking about every detail of every part of my life [in the press], whether it be a relationship or whether it be my recovery, nothing was sacred to me anymore.”
Lovato, who is now dating The Young and the Restless star Max Ehrich, depicted the Jonas Brothers — including ex Joe — as well as the newly engaged Valderrama in her music video for anthem “I Love Me” about moving forward. She seemed to have cordial relationships with both Joe and especially Valderrama, whom she split from in 2016 after six years together. Joe publicly wished her well after her overdose, but Valderrama visited her in the hospital and rehab as she recovered.
Lovato spoke about not being friends with Gomez, the Jonas Brothers and Valderrama in the May issue of Harper’s Bazaar. The comments about Gomez specifically — whom she said she loved but was no longer friends with — led to a call on social media for Lovato to be “canceled” with the hashtag “DemiLovatoIsOverParty.”
“I’ve been canceled so many times, I can’t even count,” Lovato told Jamil. “It just doesn’t even affect me anymore.”
She went on to ask, “Where is the forgiveness culture? I do, to a certain degree — there are some people, if you have used up your second and third chances … you should stay canceled. But if you mess up and you apologize and come forward and say I’ve learned from this, then let that be an example for other people so they can change too.”
She added, “Cancel culture will not work unless people have some sort of mercy. You have to be able to do that. I think if it’s somebody who refuses to learn, just has the entitlement of I can never do any wrong and I can get away with this, then yeah go ahead and cancel them.”
Lovato talked about quarantine — how she’s with family, including her mother, Dianna De La Garza, who has been obsessively cleaning the house to pass the time. She compared social isolation to a “luxurious” form of rehab — the luxury being she has a TV and phone, two things she wasn’t allowed in treatment, where her movements were also restricted.
As for her July 2018 overdose, Lovato said on the podcast that she is “still healing.” She said her “body survived something insane — a near-death experience” during the ordeal.

Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith welcome baby girl
Joshua Jackson and wife Jodie Turner-Smith are first-time parents, Page Six can reveal.
“The couple has welcomed their first child. Both mother and baby are happy and healthy,” a rep for the couple told Page Six.
The rep did not reveal the sex of the baby, but Turner-Smith set off speculation they were having a girl when she referred to the baby using the “she” pronoun last month.
“Can you see her dancing in there? Every time I try to record she stops,” she said in a video of her stomach.
The pair reportedly got hitched last year and on Feb. 14, Turner-Smith posted what looked like wedding photos of the couple and a poem by Pablo Neruda on Instagram, writing, “Happy Valentine’s Day to the man who sees my soul and holds my heart. Love you baby daddy.”
The pair have been nesting at home in LA, and “The Affair” star Jackson confessed he was nervous about being a new dad at this difficult time.
“I’ve never been a parent before, so I’m not quite sure how much of this is just first-baby anxiety and how much of this is pandemic anxiety,” he said last month.
He then told “Good Morning” on March 25, “Obviously, it’s a bit stressful right now and we’re just trying to figure out how to be smart about being quarantined. “The medical system right now is a little bit difficult, so we’re figuring it out day by day.”
Jackson added, “But she’s healthy and the baby’s healthy, so that’s important.”
The actor — who found fame in “Dawson’s Creek” — is currently starring alongside Kerry Washington and Reese Witherspoon in Hulu’s “Little Fires Everywhere” and said both moms had given him advice on being a new parent.

Jennifer Lopez sued for $150,000 for posting a photo of herself on Instagram
Jennifer Lopez is being sued for $150,000 for posting a photo of herself to Instagram that she allegedly did not own the rights to.
According to court documents filed in New York and obtained by Fox News, professional photographer Steve Sands is suing the 50-year-old singer and her production company, Nuyorican Productions, for copyright infringement.
The image in question was posted by JLo in 2017. Now, Sands is arguing that it was used without permission to “promote their brand” to her millions of Instagram followers. As of this writing, the image has garnered more than 656,000 likes.
“Defendants did not license the Photograph from Plaintiff for its Website, nor did Defendants have Plaintiff’s permission or consent to publish the Photograph on its Website,” the lawsuit reads, noting that Sands is hoping for $150,000 over the infraction.
Representatives for Lopez did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.
Sands’ attorney, Richard Liebowitz, told Fox News in a statement: “This is an example of celebrities using photographers photographs without permission to brand themselves on social media. The number of likes the photograph receives coupled with their number of social media followers is a tool to commercialize their posts.”
Finding out about a lawsuit in the midst of a worldwide pandemic is likely the last thing that Lopez wants to deal with at the moment. She previously revealed that the situation with the world is already affecting her high-profile wedding plans with former MLB player Alex Rodriguez.
“It did affect it a little bit,” Lopez told Ellen DeGeneres during a recent remote appearance on her show. “So, we’ll see what happens now… I really don’t know what’s gonna happen now as far as dates or anything like that.”
“We are just kind of in a holding pattern like the rest of the world,” the “Hustlers” star added. “So, again, it’s just something we have to wait and see in a few months how this all pans out.”

Teen slams Huda Beauty over ‘hidden’ warning: ‘Are you kidding me?’
A teenager is going viral after sharing her drastic-looking reaction to a popular makeup brand.
The 17-year-old, who goes by the name Zarina on social media, shared her issue in a video on her TikTok account, which has since been viewed more than 300,000 times.
In the clip, Zarina explains what happened when she attempted to apply a set of eye makeup from Huda Beauty, the brand founded by the makeup artist and blogger Huda Kattan.
“You’re probably wondering, ‘Zarina, why do your eyes look like this?’” the teenager begins her video, immediately revealing large, red splotches on her face.
Zarina goes on to tell her followers that she bought the brand’s Neon Obsessions Palette from Sephora, which she described as an “eye shadow palette.” She then flips over the makeup and peels back a label to reveal that the product is not intended for use on the eyes.

The 17-year-old also says she’s “disowning” Huda Beauty for the “hidden” warning.
“Are you freaking kidding me? It’s an eye shadow palette. And the fact that she tried to hide it. Cancel her,” Zarina concludes, referring to Kattan.
Zarina’s video immediately went viral, drawing hundreds of responses that shared her outrage. Others, however, were less sympathetic, saying the teen should have known better.
“Sis I ain’t trying to attack you but this isn’t anything new,” one commenter wrote. “Most bright pinks and reds stain and most of them have this warning.”
However, many who had used the product in the past seemed to share Zarina’s frustration. There are several negative reviews on Sephora for the palette, with several customers citing the eye warning as the biggest issue.
“I tried to take it off with a make up wipe and washed my face but the product stained my skin and I couldn’t get it off. Poor product,” one reviewer wrote.
“Stains the eye and the actual label that says not for the eye area is hidden under a sticker. why is an eyeshadow palette not for the eyes?” another added.

Demi Lovato on Her ‘Overworked’ Disney Days
Demi Lovato’s Disney days are part of her history and fans often want to know more about how that experience shaped her career and, of course, if she’s still close with her fellow Disney stars from back in the day. She revealed in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar that she’s not friends with all of them anymore and opened up about how “overworked” she was at the time.
Lovato is ‘grateful’ for the time but it wasn’t easy
Lovato became a household name when she starred in the Disney original movie Camp Rock and the show Sonny With a Chance. She’s grateful for that opportunity but there were a lot of the pitfalls of fame that came with it.
In the May 2020 issue of Harper’s Bazaar, Lovato addressed how being overworked played a role in her mental health, as she developed an eating disorder, experimented with drugs and alcohol, and entered rehab when she was 18.
“I’m grateful for the opportunities that I got,” Lovato acknowledged about that time. “Do I wish that I’d had more downtime? Yes. I think when you are a teenager and you’re given your big break, you’ll do anything to make it happen.”
The singer added, “I do feel that a lot of the way some of my life was handled and lived led to me kind of having a bit of a downfall, just because I was so overworked and I wasn’t dedicating enough time to my mental health or my personal life.”
She’s not still friends with all of her Disney-era pals
Lovato bonded with some of her fellow Disney Channel co-stars when she was a teen, but she’s not friends with all of them anymore. When asked about whether she and the Jonas Brothers are still in touch, “she shakes her head no,” the interviewer writes.
Her on-again/off-again relationship with Selena Gomez, who was her BFF back in the day is also over. “When you grow up with somebody, you’re always going to have love for them,” she said of Gomez. “But I’m not friends with her, so it [Gomez praising Lovato’s Grammys performance] felt…” Lovato didn’t finish the thought, but added, “I will always have love for her, and I wish everybody nothing but the best.”
She’s friends with Miley Cyrus
Lovato and Miley Cyrus, however, remain friends. “I talk to Miley. She’s awesome, and I love her to death and always will, always have. But I think she’s kind of the only one from that era that I still stay in touch with.”
The two addressed their friendship during a March Instagram Live for Cyrus’ show Bright Minded: Live With Miley.
“Life is moving so fast that it’s usually hard to slow ourselves down and appreciate people in our lives, and you’ve been that person for me for so many years and we’ve been friends for so long,” Cyrus said at the time.
“I feel like you’ve always been such a light and that’s why we connected at 14. We connected then because we just saw something in each other. Maybe it was because of spirituality or maybe it was just our hearts,” she added.
