Rachel, now legally known as Nkechi Diallo, is facing up to 15-years in prison.
via KHQ:
Because Dolezal changed her name, we’ll be referring to her as Nkechi Diallo. According to court documents, Diallo illegally received $8,747 in food assistance, and illegally received $100 in childcare assistance. Total restitution, according to the documents, is $8,847, allegedly stolen from August 2015 through November 2017.
The investigation into Diallo’s alleged theft started in March 2017 when a DSHS Office of Fraud and Accountability investigator received information that Diallo had written a book that got published. The investigator said he’d heard Diallo say she was getting public assistance, but also knew that a typical publishing contract included payments of $10,000 to $20,000.

Woody Allen’s son defends him, says mom Mia Farrow abused all her children
The sad, sordid saga of Woody Allen and the Farrows Who Loathe Him moved to a more toxic level Wednesday: One of his sons with Mia Farrow reiterated that Allen never molested his 7-year-old daughter, and added that Farrow physically and emotionally abused all her children for years.
Moses Farrow, 40, a professional family therapist, posted on his blog a lengthy essay, “A Son Speaks Out,” declaring again what he’s said before: That Allen did not abuse his younger sister and Allen’s daughter, Dylan Farrow, in August 1992 at Mia Farrow’s Connecticut home.
“Given the incredibly inaccurate and misleading attacks on my father, Woody Allen, I feel that I can no longer stay silent as he continues to be condemned for a crime he did not commit,” wrote Moses Farrow, who was adopted by Farrow from South Korea in 1980 and later was co-adopted by Allen.
“I was present for everything that transpired in our house before, during, and after the alleged event,” Moses wrote. “Now that the public hysteria of earlier this year has died down a little and I have some hope that the truth can get a fair hearing, I want to share my story.”
His story is that there was no time when nor any place in the house where Allen, now 82, could have spirited Dylan away to molest her. Farrow, enraged by Allen’s affair with another of her adopted daughters, Soon-Yi Previn, now 47, had instructed Moses to keep a close eye on Allen.
“Along with five kids, there were three adults in the house, all of whom had been told for months what a monster Woody was,” writes Moses. “None of us would have allowed Dylan to step away with Woody, even if he tried.”
Having failed to persuade authorities to charge Allen with a crime at the time, Farrow and their daughter, now 32, plus her biological son with Allen, Ronan Farrow, 30, have been trying to damage Allen and his movie career by other means, mostly through jeremiads in the media and via social media.
Allen has always denied he abused his daughter, and her claims and that of her mother’s were investigated by Connecticut authorities decades ago. Their conclusion: Nothing happened. Allen has never been charged.
“Mia reached the end of the legal runway after it was determined that the abuse never occurred,” Moses wrote. “But trial by media thrives on the lack of long-term memory and Twitter requires neither knowledge nor restraint.”

Tomi Lahren’s Water Bottle Assaulter Will NOT be Charged :[]
The woman who threw a glass of water at Tomi Lahren will not face criminal charges, and she actually has Tomatoe to thank for that … partly.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … the act of tossing water at Tomi is not harmful enough for cops to bring charges or open an investigation on their own. We’re told Tomi herself — or her mom, who was also hit with water — would need to file a police report.

Sources close to Tomi tell us that’s not going to happen … so no charges will be coming.
As we reported … the conservative Fox News contributor was having brunch with her mother at a Minneapolis bar last weekend when a woman chucked the water at her unprovoked.
The incident led President Trump to tweet out vocal support for Tomi, saying everybody is with her.
We’re guessing this doesn’t apply to the water thrower … even if Lahren is letting her off the hook.

3 women arrested after using bathroom in restaurant claim racial discrimination
Three women are accusing a Georgia restaurant of racial discrimination after being arrested for allegedly taking too long in the bathroom.
WMAZ reports Brittany Lucio, Asia’h Epperson and Erica Walker asked to use the restroom at an Atlanta-area restaurant called Houston’s on Mother’s Day last week. A shift manager claims they were in the bathroom after the restaurant closed at 10 p.m. and, when they refused to leave, asked a police officer who was working security at the restaurant to escort them out.
A police report says the security officer found the women on their phones inside the restroom, ignoring his request to leave. When he grabbed Lucio by the wrist and said “Let’s go,” she pulled away and shouted “Get your hands off of me!”
The situation worsened from there; the officer says Lucio threw a punch, hitting his mouth. He asked Houston’s staff to call 911 for backup while restraining Lucio and Walker outside the restaurant.
Epperson, a former “American Idol” contestant and “Greenleaf” actress, began recording the incident on the phone, showing the officer pinning one of the two women down on the ground.
WSB-TV reports all three were arrested when additional officers arrived, and booked in Fulton County Jail. Lucio was charged with criminal trespass and felony obstruction; Walker and Epperson were charged with criminal trespass.
Epperson told WSB-TV on Tuesday that she plans to take legal action against the Atlanta Police Department, claiming the officer lied on the police report. The restaurant was open and “full of people,” she said. They were in the restroom less than 10 minutes, including using a phone to give an Uber driver directions to pick them up, she added.
“We weren’t doing anything wrong. We were never asked multiple times to leave. That is a lie. We are moving forward very rapidly with this matter things will be handled legally,” Epperson said in a statement.
Epperson, 29, was a semi-finalist on “American Idol” season 7 in 2008. She also notably played Felicia in the 2015 movie “Straight Outta Compton” about N.W.A. rappers Ice Cube, Eazy-E and Dr. Dre.

Paris Jackson Talks Family Drama After Janet’s BBMAs Performance
Later that night, Rebbie’s son, Austin Brown, shared a photo from Janet’s performance on Instagram. “Couldn’t be more proud of my aunt for not only delivering a stellar performance but also showing people greatness is ageless,” the singer wrote. “Congrats on your Icon award.”
Paris Jackson shared a screenshot on Instagram Stories Monday, writing, “Ditto.”
The 20-year-old Gringo actress was criticized on social media for not showing up to support Janet, prompting her to address some larger issues within the Jackson family once and for all.
Paris, the daughter of the late Michael Jackson, added, “Thank you for understanding.”
“Every family has their moments of trauma, heartbreak, separation, love, oneness, tribe, pain, everything. EVERY FAMILY. My family, specifically, and a good number of others…well, our drama is broadcasted worldwide through media. But that doesn’t mean our family issues are any different from yours. Ours are just made public,” said Paris, who’s father tried to keep her out of the public eye. “Every level has another devil. Every life has their own s–t to deal with. We ain’t inferior or superior to y’all. We’re all f–king human. So let’s act like it. I appreciate any and every person reading this and I’m grateful for everything in my life, positive and negative.”
In her acceptance speech, a soft-spoken Janet told the audience, “Everything we lack, God has in abundance: compassion, sensitivity, patience and a boundless love. So, again, I want to thank all of you for this honor and I thank God for giving me the precious energy that lets me live my life as an artist who, every single day, seeks to expand my capacity to love. Thank you so much.”
A little bit later, Paris updated her Instagram Stories again, writing, “Also not to mention, no one from my mgmt reached out to me about attending billboards or about the award, and no one from my family did either. I had absolutely no idea until y’all spammed me with hatred.”

Texas governor scraps shotgun giveaway after school shooting
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has scrapped plans to give away a “Texas-made shotgun“ after a gunman used a shotgun in a Friday rampage that left 10 dead in a high school near Houston.
A spokesman for Abbott, a Republican, said Monday the campaign contest is still active, but the winner will now receive a $250 gift card.
The webpage for the contest has been changed from one featuring the governor holding a shotgun to one without any pictures, now advertising the gift card. The change was made over the weekend, the Abbott spokesman said.
Abbott’s reelection campaign launched the shotgun giveaway contest on May 1, prior to the high school murders in Santa Fe, Texas. The contest quickly caught the eyes of Texas gun control activists, who pressed Abbott over the weekend.
“I find this giveaway deeply disturbing for a number of reasons, chiefly among them the fact that Friday’s shooting at Santa Fe HS was carried out with a shotgun,” Jack Kappelman, a student organizer of Austin’s March For Our Lives affiliate, wrote in an email to POLITICO. Kappelman is a senior at the Liberal Arts and Science Academy, a high school in Austin.
The contest also drew the attention of potential gubernatorial challengers, including Andrew White, who is running in the Democratic primary. White posted a picture on Twitter of an Abbott campaign door hanger that advertised the contest with a picture of a shotgun.
“If nominated on May 22, I won’t have to give away shotguns to get people to vote for me. Can you believe this?“ White wrote.
Abbott has promised “swift” action following last week’s school shooting, including a Tuesday roundtable to discuss next steps.

‘Things could have gone much worse’: Ex-student shot by officer during gunfire exchange at Dixon High School
police officer working at Dixon High School on Wednesday shot a former student who fired a gun near the school’s gym and later tried to shoot the officer Wednesday, officials said.
The incident began about 8 a.m., according to officials speaking at a late-morning news conference. Students had gathered at the gym for graduation practice.
Dixon police Chief Steven Howell said the suspect, a 19-year-old man, “fired several shots” near the gym.
The school resource officer, identified as Mark Dallas, confronted the suspect, who then fled from the school with the officer in pursuit, Howell said. During the pursuit, the suspect fired several shots at the officer but did not strike him.
The officer returned fire and struck the suspect, who was then taken into custody just west of the school, Howell said. He was taken to a hospital with injuries that weren’t life-threatening. No one else was injured.
An earlier news account said the gunfire exchange took place in the gym.
Howell and other officials praised the officer for saving lives.
“From the angle I’m looking at right now, at lot of things went right today when a great many of them could have (gone) wrong,” Dixon Mayor Liandro Arellano Jr. said. “Things could have gone much worse.”
“He saved an enormous amount of lives,” Lee County Sheriff John Simonton.
Gov. Bruce Rauner in a statement credited “school resource officer Mark Dallas for his bravery and quick action.”
Authorities have not provided the gunman’s name.
According to WGN-TV, a woman who identified herself as the gunman’s mother told reporters: “My son has been very, very sad for a long time.”
She said her son was bullied and ostracized at school, and was beaten up in October. She said she doesn’t know know where her son got a gun, according to WGN.
Devin Scott, 18, a senior, said he and 150 others students were in gym at 8 a.m. They heard what sounded like firecrackers. Gym teacher Andrew McKay came running into gym and shouted that everyone should get out, Scott said.
“We all got up, and everyone started running toward the doors,” Scott said. “Some people didn’t take it seriously. They thought it was firecrackers. Some people did. They started crying as they were running.”
The students ran out of the building and went to a National Guard armory a short distance from the gymnasium. They didn’t know if the shooting was real or not until other students started pouring into the armory.
Scott said the experience didn’t begin to sink in until his adrenaline began to wear off.
“I almost started crying,” he said. “It was scary. My life could have ended.”
He and his brother, Skylar, 16, a junior, credited Officer Dallas and their teacher, McKay, for preventing what could have been a horrible tragedy.
“I feel like he (Dallas) is a hero. I feel like Mr. McKay is a hero,” Devin Scott said.
Russ Shuck, 65, owner of Russ’ Automotive Service & Towing, said he began to notice something was amiss when students started pouring out from between the houses that separate him from the high school.
“I was sitting here in the office with a couple of other guys drinking Pepsi and shooting the bull,” he said. “We were wondering what was going on. Then we heard the sirens.”
Shuck expressed surprise that a school shooting could happen in a town like Dixon.
“It’s just kinda of shocking that it happened in Dixon,” he said. “Never thought I’d see it around here.”
Authorities say students did exactly as they were trained to do in such situations. Officials said they were pleased to discover that students had barricaded themselves into classrooms by blocking doorways with chairs, desks and other furniture.
Police have not said why the former student came to the school.
Police said they believe the gunman acted alone and that there was no further threat to anyone in the area. Howell declined to discuss why the former student brought a gun to the school.
According to the city of Dixon website, the school resource officer position was started by the Dixon Police Department in 2000 to help prevent school violence.
Officials said all schools in Dixon, which is about 100 miles west of Chicago, were placed on lockdown in the immediate aftermath of the shooting. The other schools reopened after officials determined the gunman acted alone.

U.S.C. Admits Fault in Response to Complaints Against Gynecologist
LOS ANGELES — For decades, medical staff at the University of Southern California complained about inappropriate touching of students during pelvic exams by a gynecologist at the campus health center. On Tuesday, the university admitted it failed to respond to the accusations strongly or quickly enough.
The scandal comes at a difficult time for the university, which was rocked last year by reports that the former dean of the medical school had spent months partying with criminals and using drugs on campus, and was forced to resign.
In 2016, the university conducted an internal investigation, which concluded that the doctor’s pelvic exams may have been inappropriate and that he had repeatedly made racially and sexually offensive remarks to patients. The doctor, George Tyndall, agreed to retire under a separation agreement last summer, a year after he was suspended, U.S.C. officials said Tuesday.
But university officials did not make a report about Dr. Tyndall to the California Medical Board until earlier this year, after he wrote a letter asking the university for reinstatement. Officials now say that was a mistake. The university made the investigation public after it was contacted by The Los Angeles Times, which first reported the complaints about Dr. Tyndall on Tuesday.
“In hindsight, we should have made this report eight months earlier when he separated from the university,” C. L. Max Nikias, the president of U.S.C., wrote in a letter sent to all students and staff earlier Tuesday.
Mr. Nikias said that there had been repeated complaints about Dr. Tyndall dating back to 2000, which “were concerning enough that it is not clear today why the former health center director permitted Tyndall to remain in his position.”
In its report, The Los Angeles Times found that Dr. Tyndall was not suspended until a frustrated nurse turned to the rape crisis center on campus in 2016.
In its statement, the university did not directly address the most serious allegations of misconduct unearthed by The Los Angeles Times, which were based on extensive interviews with students and university employees as well as documents. The newspaper reported that Dr. Tyndall often photographed women’s genitals, moved his fingers in and out during pelvic exams, and in one case asked a woman if he could keep the IUD he had just removed from her. In recent years, Dr. Tyndall appeared to be targeting students from China.
Dr. Tyndall denied any wrongdoing to The Los Angeles Times and did not return phone calls on Tuesday.
