Drunk man breaks into home, cooks meal, tells homeowner to ‘go back to sleep’
Meredith) – A 19-year-old man is accused of breaking into a Florida home, cooking himself a meal and telling the alarmed homeowner to “go back to sleep,” according to authorities.
The suspect, identified as Gavin Crim, entered the home in Safety Harbor through an unlocked rear door around 4:15 a.m. Tuesday, WTVT reported. He then began cooking and eating food inside the house, which alarmed the person who lives there.
After Crim told the homeowner to “go back to sleep,” the homeowner threatened to call 911, according to an arrest report obtained by WTVT. Crim then ran away from the home.
Pinellas County deputies later found Crim hiding in a wooded area behind the property, WFLA reported. His arrest report states he was under the influence of alcohol.
Crim, who is a Marine, was booked into the Pinellas County jail on a burglary charge. He was released Wednesday on a $1,000 bond, according to online jail records.
