New Jersey rapper Tripple Beanz’s fatal shooting caught on camera
An up-and-coming New Jersey rapper was gunned down in a broad-daylight shooting in Newark, according to video and police.
The 29-year-old Tripple Beanz, whose real name was Corey Thompson, was shot dead on the 300 block of Avon Avenue in New Jersey’s largest city just before 1 p.m. Friday, according to local and county authorities.
In the shocking surveillance footage obtained by The Post, Thompson is walking to his parked car when two masked men get out of an SUV, saunter across the street and open fire.
The gunmen fire numerous times as Thompson rolls in the street, the video shows. One of the triggermen appears to fire a final shot at the rapper’s head at close range before running off.
DFG Recording Studio mourned Tripple Beanz’s death in an Instagram post.
“A superstar in the making and more importantly family here,” the studio wrote. “Genuinely was tryna change his life around.”

Computer labeling error on prescription bottle led to fatal dose of painkillers
A computer labeling error on prescription drugs caused a 30-year-old man with a slipped-disk to take a fatal amount of painkillers, an inquest heard.
Hamish Hardie, who worked as a public relations consultant, was prescribed the powerful drugs last August while he was waiting for surgery on two prolapsed lumbar vertebral discs.
But his mother, Mary-Anne Hardie, told an inquest said her son had been ‘badly let down’ after a computer error meant the medication was only marked with ‘use as directed’ instead of the correct amount.
Mrs Hardie took responsibility for administering the medication, but the uncertainty about the label on the bottle of oramorph and reliance on Hamish for dosage details meant that more frequent and higher doses were given.
As a result the Leeds University graduate died at the family home in Wisborough Green, West Sussex, last August – just two days after he started taking the incorrectly labelled medication.
While it was initially a computer error which led to the vague instruction, this was not fixed by trainee GP Dr Carlos Novo, nor was it picked up on by the dispensing practitioner within the pharmacy at the Loxwood Medical Practice in Billingshurst, West Sussex, the inquest at Crawley Coroner’s Court heard
A post-mortem confirmed that the primary cause of death was a prescription drug overdose.
Giving her conclusion at the inquest, in which she offered her condolences to the Hardie family, assistant coroner for West Sussex Karen Henderson, gave a verdict of accidental overdose on prescribed medication.
She said: “This was a clinical error, compounded by a further lack of clarity in how much was given.”
However, Ms Henderson noted there was no evidence to suggest that the surgery had been negligent, due to the “prompt assessment and thorough treatment” given to Hamish.
On the subject of preventing future deaths, the coroner said she was satisfied the surgery had implemented procedures to ensure the same mistakes would not be repeated.

Man receives racist letter over Black Santa decoration — and neighbors have his back
Chris Kennedy’s Christmas display features a seven-foot Black Santa that stands tall in his yard along with a Christmas tree and a large shining sign that reads “Joy.”
Until now, he has received nothing but compliments since he first moved to his North Little Rock, Arkansas, neighborhood in 2017.
But just before Thanksgiving this year, he received in the mail an anonymous racist note condemning the decorations in his yard.
“You should not try to deceive children into believing that I am a negro,” said the letter, which was signed ‘Santa Claus.’ “You being jealous of my race is no excuse for your dishonesty.”
Kennedy read the note over a live stream on his Facebook account.
“I am trying to be as nice as I can in this very moment because I am actually filled with rage,” Kennedy said in his live stream.
In the video, he also revealed an image of a white Santa with two thumbs down, and the label taped to the front of the envelope that resembled the Lakewood Property Owners Association’s (LPOA) logo.
“The real thing that angered me was the fact that the person who wrote it suggested I move out east where I guess they feel all black people live,” Kennedy told CNN.
The LPOA had nothing to do with the letter, Lakewood Property Owners Association executive director Evan Blake told CNN.
Blake said that he visited Kennedy and his family to condemn the letter. He also gave him a free membership to the LPOA as a gesture of assurance that the Kennedys are very much a part of the North Little Rock community.
“We have never had anyone attack anyone based on their race,” Blake said. “Racism is something that we do discriminate against and we will not stand for it.”
Kennedy does have his suspicions about what motivated the unknown person to send the insensitive letter and worries someone will try to take down his decorations.
“I feel like it’s a combination of politics and actual racism,” Kennedy told CNN. “I am not sure that it was solely about just the black Santa display as much as it was legitimately just racism, in general.”
Other North Little Rock residents living in different neighborhoods have contacted Kennedy to share similar stories about racist remarks and gestures. According to the 2019 U.S. Census Bureau, African-Americans comprise 44.7% of the population in North Little Rock.
For Kennedy, this isn’t just about the color of Santa’s skin, but instead about a rich family tradition that brings back fond childhood memories of looking at elaborate light displays with his father, who died over 15 years ago on Thanksgiving Day. Each year on Halloween, Kennedy, his wife and 4-year-old daughter decorate early for the holiday season.
“Putting up Christmas displays reminds me of him,” Kennedy said of his father. “The main reason we put out the display is to bring joy to the neighborhood and brighten it up a little bit.”
Black Santas ‘flood the neighborhood’
And the community is rallying behind him in no better way than spreading this same Christmas cheer on their own lawns.
“People are buying black Santas and trying to flood the neighborhood,” said Blake.
The LPOA is planning on displaying a black Santa in its office as soon as it arrives in the mail.
Although appreciative of the army of black Santas now lining his street and kind notes from neighbors disgusted by the act, Kennedy says he would rather see people donate to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkansas for the children who do not get to be at home with their families this Christmas.
“Keep smiling, keep God first and push forward,” is the message Kennedy wants to share with anyone who may be battling similar instances of racism during these contentious times.
“There are still loving and caring individuals out there,” said Kennedy. “I know that my neighborhood has definitely lifted us up.”

Nurse placed on leave for bragging on TikTok she doesn’t wear a mask
An Oregon nurse is placed on administrative leave after she posted a TikTok video shunning basic COVID-19 measures.
The since-deleted post from user @Loveiskind05 showed the nurse wearing scrubs and a stethoscope, with the caption, “When my coworkers find out I still travel, don’t wear a mask when I’m out and let my kids have play dates.” A “duet” of the original TikTok remains online.
Users apparently identified the nurse and then alerted her employer, Salem Health.
In a Facebook post Saturday, the hospital thanked community members for reaching out and announced that she had been “placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.”
Salem Health did not reveal her name.
“Yesterday, a nurse employed with Salem Health posted a video on social media which displayed cavalier disregard for the seriousness of this pandemic and her indifference towards physical distancing and masking outside of work,” the hospital wrote.
“Salem Health believes we all need to do our part to protect the vulnerable and stop the rapid spread of COVID-19. This includes requiring staff, patients and visitors to follow guidance from the CDC and others about mask wearing and social distancing. The COVID pandemic is serious and requires a serious response. And at Salem Health we are very serious about our approach to COVID.”
While many commenters applauded the hospital for disciplining the nurse, others blasted it for not firing her on the spot.
“There should be no investigation. Fire her and take away any of her licenses. She doesn’t deserve to be a nurse if all she’s going to do is endanger some of the most immunocompromised people,” wrote one Facebook user.
Another sarcastically commented,” Paid leave so she can travel some more and put patients at even more risk when she returns”

Students want the word ‘black’ banned from textbooks and lectures
University students have demanded the word “black” be banned from lectures and textbooks amid claims it symbolises “negative situations”.
Undergraduates at the University of Manchester say the colour’s use as an adjective is stemmed in “colonial history”, which has become outdated in the wake of the Black Lives Matter movement.
Supporters are calling for commonly used phrases such as “black sheep” to be removed from lecture slides and books, while concerns have also been raised about “blackmail” and “black market” during a student union-led audit of racism concerns on campus.
The University said it is preparing to roll out new training and research in response to the unease in order to tackle “racist terminology” and “aggressions”.
In documents seen by The Telegraph, those studying at the red brick institution called for: “The university to ban the use of these words listed above and any other use of the word ‘black’ as an adjective to express negative connotations.”
This is because black is “linguistically and metaphorically associated with negative situations” and “used for bad and unsavoury situations or objects”.
This is part of an “accepted consciousness” of using colours as adjectives that is “situated in colonial history”, the student report stated.
Students in the university’s East African, Sudanese, Nigerian and Natural Hair societies canvassed for the report, claiming terms like “blacklist” and “whitelist” should be barred from any written communications.
This ban, they argue, should be imposed on university research papers, lecture slides, and books published by staff.
The University of Manchester, part of the elite Russell Group, has said in a report responding to student concerns that it will address language that is “divisive and not inclusive”.
A training programme is being developed based on the “findings on everyday aggressions” and “this will include the use of racist terminology”.
A spokesperson said: “Racism and discrimination have no place in our University, and all our community of students and staff have a right to expect that they will be treated equally and fairly and can work and study in a safe, secure and fulfilling environment.”
The Race Matters report states the institution will consult on “appropriate language to ensure we embed inclusive linguistics into our values”.
However, the alleged “colonial” or racist etymologies of the common phrases which are to be addressed has been dismissed by experts.
Lexicographer Jonathon Green said the phrases were not borne from conscious racism. “An aspect of current identity politics has indeed claimed an etymology that simply wasn’t there at the moment of coinage,” he said.
The negative connotations of the nursery rhyme staple black sheep may stem from the commercially less valuable wool of these rarer animals.
Blackmail is believed to have derived from bandits demanding extortion payments from victims near the Anglo-Scottish boundary between the 13th and 17th centuries.

British Airways stewardess reportedly offers ‘adult entertainment’ during flights
British Airways is reportedly investigating claims that one of its air stewardesses is working as a prostitute who offers “adult entertainment” during flights — and even sells her undies to passengers.
The unidentified flight attendant advertises her services through racy snaps on social media, many focused on her stockinged feet and legs and teases that she often wears no underwear during flights, according to The Sun.
Those undies are instead sold for $33-a-pop — half the amount it costs for a “securing fee” to later meet her at a hotel, she allegedly told an investigative reporter for the UK paper.
As well as offering sex between travels, she offers unspecified X-rated treats to passengers if the money is right, the paper said.
“If you ever want adult entertainment on-board, all you have to do is give me a sum of money and you’ll be treated to a whole different experience of your choice,” the stewardess reportedly wrote on a blog.
Followers of her social media — much of which appeared to have been deleted Sunday after the revelations — appeared in no doubt as to what she was up to. “Hope you earn good money and stay safe girl,” one follower replied to a photo.
“She is clearly prostituting herself and boosting her business by using photos taken on board BA planes,” one source told The Sun.
“It is shocking dereliction of duty and not the image BA wants of its cabin crew,” the sources said.
British Airways told the UK paper it had launched a probe and was trying to identify the mystery stewardess.
“We expect the highest standard of behavior from all of our colleagues at all times, and we are investigating the claims,” a spokesperson for the airline told the UK paper.

Star Hong Kong Instagram model who flaunted her wealth online is tied up at knifepoint, robbed of almost $500,000
A prominent Hong Kong social media influencer paid a terrifying price for flaunting her lavish possessions online after she and her baby son were tied up at knifepoint and robbed of more than $450,000 in goods, The Sun reports.
The 25-year-old influencer, So Mei-yan, reported that three men burst into her home in Kong Kong brandishing knives on Tuesday night while she and her son were sleeping. They tied up her and her six-month-old baby boy as well as his 45-year-old nanny and then robbed her blind.
The bandits ran off with nearly a half million dollars in valuables.
In an interview with a Chinese media outlet, the Hong Kong influencer who was so spectacularly robbed said she was “woken up by noise in the living room,” and that “when I went out of my bedroom to check, three men were already inside my flat.”
Her version of events was backed up by police who in a statement said: “As the doorbell rang, the maid opened the door and three men rushed into the unit.”
As for the weapons the robbers were carrying when they busted into the influencer’s home in Hong Kong, local cops said they either had a “fruit knife or a wooden rod” in hand.
Mei-yan reported that one of the masked men began aggressively rubbing her tiny son’s forehead.
The Hong Kong influencer begged the robber to stop and implored him to take whatever possessions of hers he wanted, but to spare her innocent little boy, the South China Morning Post reports.
“I never beat my son,” Mei-yan later told the press, “but [the robbers] dared beat him.”
So said she and her helper were tied up using adhesive tape, and the thieves then forced their victims into the baby’s bedroom, where one stood guard, while the other two searched the flat.
“One of them returned and pulled my hair asking where I put my money,” the influencer reported of her terrifying encounter with the robbers.
When Mei-yan told the robbers that she didn’t have any cash in her Hong Kong apartment, one of the robbers punched her in the face.
Mei-yan is a powerful influencer in the cosmetics realm and has a habit of exuberantly flaunting her wealth, lifestyle and possessions on social media.
Yahoo! News reports that in addition to displaying luxury watches and handbags in her posts, she is also fond of displaying vulgar quantities of cash.
“Ten handbags, seven watches, a laptop computer, and two mobile phones were stolen in the incident,” police said in a statement. “The haul is worth about HK$3.6 million.”
The robbers put all the luxury loot into a suitcase and then fled the Hong Kong influencer’s apartment.
The Standard reports that Mei-yan tore into her tormentors in the aftermath of the Hong Kong influencer’s robbery, saying, “The three men are so useless that they can only rob women and kids. They even beat a six-month-old baby boy, how shameless are they?”
She also excoriated her building’s management company for letting the criminals in the building in the first place.
“I’ve told the security guards 10 million times not to let anyone in without my permission,” she fumed. “But they still allowed these three weird men in caps and masks to go upstairs.”
So managed to untie herself and sought help from a security guard to call the police.

President Trump paid $3M in Wisconsin recount only for Biden to gain 132 votes
President Trump spent $3 million for recounts in two Wisconsin counties after the election — but so far the end result is 132 more votes for Joe Biden.
Those expensive new votes, all from Milwaukee County, now add to Biden’s lead of nearly 20,600 votes in the state.
Trump requested recounts in Milwaukee and Dane counties — which are largely Democratic — in hopes of clawing back a victory in the state.
The Dane recount is continuing; so far, it’s tipped 68 votes in Trump’s favor, with the recount there expected to wrap up on Sunday.
A Republican lawsuit seeking to block certification of the state’s election results is still pending in Wisconsin Supreme Court, and Trump’s campaign appears to be preparing still more 11th-hour court challenges in hopes of changing the outcome.
But by law, state election officials must certify the election results on Tuesday.
Milwaukee County Clerk George Christenson promised the recounts results were transparent, accurate and fair.
“There was an examination of every ballot by election workers, a meticulous recounting of every ballot that was properly cast, a transparent process that allowed the public to observe, a fair process that allows the aggrieved candidate who sought the recount an opportunity to observe and object to ballots they believe should not be counted,” Christenson told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Judges have tossed Trump’s lawsuits in Arizona, Pennsylvania and Georgia, and dismissed his election fraud allegations as baseless.
Nevada, Georgia and Pennsylvania recently certified their results, each declaring Biden the winner.

Teen collapses after receiving nearly 150 lashes for raping a child
A teenager convicted of raping a child in Indonesia’s most conservative region collapsed during a public whipping that saw him lashed nearly 150 times for violating Islamic law.
The unidentified 19-year-old cried out as a masked officer lashed his back with a rattan stick in the town of Idi Rayeuk in East Aceh on Thursday, according to a report by Agence France Presse.
The teenager was briefly treated by doctors when he pleaded for the caning to stop but the severe punishment continued. He had been sentenced to 146 lashes, a heavy penalty reserved for the most serious crimes in the region, according to a local prosecutor.
“The maximum sentence is meant to be a deterrent,” Ivan Nanjjar Alavi, an official from the East Aceh prosecutor’s office, told reporters.
The victim was not identified by prosecutors.
The Indonesian province, which follows strict sharia law, allows whipping for a range of charges — including gambling, adultery, drinking alcohol, and having gay or premarital sex.
