‘Karen’ hurls puppy at black man during racist rant, disturbing video shows
A disturbed “Karen” tossed a helpless puppy at a black man — who then apparently adopted the battered dog, video shows.
The bizarre footage, posted Friday to Instagram, shows an unidentified white woman arguing with a black man in the middle of a California intersection while she’s holding a Belgian Malinois puppy.
“What’d you just say?” the man asks the woman.
“I said you’re black,” she replies.
“So what?” the man shoots back.
“Exactly,” she replies before spitting into the street, video shows.
“So what if I’m f–king black — what’s up?” the man asks.
“So what if I’m f–king white,” the woman replies while walking toward the man.
“I didn’t say nothing about race, you racist b—h!” the man fires back. “You’re the one bringing up f–king race.”
Following more puzzling back-and-forth, the woman appears to kick the man in the shin before he turns his attention to the puppy she is cradling.
The man asks the woman if the pooch is hers, prompting her to unexpectedly throw the clearly distressed animal at him, video shows.
“What the f–k!” the man says while petting the yelping puppy at his feet. “Come here.”
He then turns his ire back toward the unidentified woman.
“Get the f–k out of here, you dumb b—h!” he says. “Whoa, back up — this is not your f–king dog. This is not your dog no more. I got video of everything. Yeah, get the f–k out of here. You’re going to jail, b–h.”
The woman then claims she has a “mental health record” while accusing the man of stealing the animal. The pooch, meanwhile, later appeared on the man’s Instagram feed in good spirits with a fresh name.
“This has gotta be the best thing I’ve seen from 2020,” one reply read.
The original video showing the woman’s meltdown had garnered more than 2.3 million views as of Monday.

Queens woman is arrested after allegedly giving birth at home and tossing the newborn boy out the window
The newborn baby found outside a Queens home Sunday was allegedly thrown out a bathroom window by his mother, who’d just given birth, police sources said.
The baby boy, who also suffered hypothermia, is likely to die of his injuries, sources said Monday.
He was discovered with his umbilical cord still attached outside a home on 126th Street in South Ozone Park around 10:15 a.m. Sunday and taken to Cohen Children’s Medical Center.
Investigators determined that the infant’s 23-year-old mother had just given birth in the bathtub, then tossed the baby out the bathroom window, sources said.
She is undergoing an evaluation at Jamaica Hospital, pending criminal charges, sources added.

Denver ‘Patriot Rally’ shooting suspect not a licensed security guard
The Colorado man accused of gunning down a right-wing demonstrator in Denver while guarding a local TV news crew was not licensed to work as a security guard, according to a news report.
Matthew Dolloff, 30, who was identified as a Pinkerton detective agency employee hired by 9News-TV after the Saturday afternoon shooting, does not have a required city license to work security in the mile-high city, KCNC-TV reported Sunday.
“We searched our records and there is no record for an active licensed security guard now or ever for an individual named Matthew Doloff or Dolloff,” Eric Escudero, a spokesman for the Denver Department of Excise and Licenses, told KCNC reporter Andrea Flores.
“If he was operating as a security guard, he was in violation of the law,” Escudero added.
According to the city agency, an individual operating as a security guard without a licensed could face a fine of up to $999 and a year in jail — and the company that hires the guard could be held liable, the outlet said.
Dolloff was charged with suspicion of first-degree murder in the shooting death of demonstrator Lee Keltner, a local hat-maker who took part in the right-wing “Patriot Rally” in the city on Saturday.
Keltner was shot and killed after spraying what appears to be pepper spray at Dolloff, who dropped the weapon and got on his knees to surrender when police moved in following the shooting.
Keltner, a military veteran, was seen in photos and on video arguing with several Black Lives Matter protesters who confronted the rally participants shortly after 3:30 p.m. in the courtyard of the Denver Art Museum, police said.
The Pinkerton agency did not respond to a request for comment.

‘Karen’ calls 911 after being barred from pet store for not wearing a mask
A woman called 911 for being denied entry into a California pet store because she wasn’t wearing a mask — claiming she has a “religious exemption right and God-given right” that are protected under the Civil Rights Act.
Aidan Bearpaw, who works at Bones-N-Scones in Palm Springs, recorded the tense encounter on Sunday and posted it to Facebook, writing, “I’ve never had to deal with a karen calling 911 on me before all because I asked her to please wear a mask in the store.”
The six-minute video shows Bearpaw telling the woman she needs to wear a mask inside the store, where it’s nearly closing time, or else he’ll provide a “reasonable accommodation.”
The woman threatens to call 911, saying he’s “technically discriminating” against her and that she can’t wear a face covering because of health issues.
“I’ll have a panic attack, I will freak out, I will have an anxiety attack,” she says.
The woman then asks Bearpaw to “accommodate me by giving me an hour at the end of every day, an hour at the beginning of the day.”
“There is no one in the store,” she adds.
Bearpaw shoots back, “There’s me in the store,” to which she responds, “So you stand 7,000 feet away from me.”
“Ma’am, I’m just trying to do my job,” he answers.
“And I’m trying to make sure that I have rights,” she says. “You’ll make sure to hear that in the end you’re the one who will be cited, not me.”
Then she dials 911 on speaker, telling the dispatcher, “As per the 1964 Civil Rights Act, I cannot be discriminated against. I do have a right to be able to breathe O2, not CO2, and I’m being discriminated against right now at a store.”
She adds, “I’m being told I need to wear a mask even though I have a religious exemption right and a God-given right to be able to breathe O2 and not CO … medical exemption too.”
The dispatcher can be heard telling the woman that there is a city ordinance mandating face coverings inside stores. She says the store has a “right to refuse service” and then tells her she’s sending out an officer.
The woman tells the dispatcher she’s leaving, while insisting that she’s in the “right” before heading back to her car.
Bearpaw told Storyful that the woman called 911 on him the next day, sending police to the store.
“She was feeling the public backlash and dispatched police on me again,” he said. “My bosses were initially furious. It was very possible I was going to be fired. My co-workers were all very supportive and made it clear there would be consequences if I was terminated.”
Bones-N-Scones’ consulting general manager backed up Bearpaw in an interview with local network KESQ.
“I’m biased, but it’s a shining example of how just doing what’s right,” Smith said. “Standing your ground overcomes all of those things. Aidan won for us that day, he didn’t just want it for Bone-N-Scones. He won for the city of Palm Springs, but United States and for humanity in general.”

Dollar General to open new stores targeting wealthier shoppers
CNN) — Dollar General, the retail powerhouse known for its rock-bottom prices, is opening a new store aimed at higher-end suburban shoppers.
The company is launching its first two Popshelf stores in Nashville in the coming weeks, and plans to open another 30 by the end of next year.
The new stores are opening at a difficult time for retailers — especially brick and mortar stores that were forced to close during the pandemic. But Dollar General has been well positioned as a bargain store at a time of economic uncertainty for millions of Americans.
The discount chain of more than 16,000 stores saw sales at stores open at least a year climb 18.8% during the second quarter, which ended July 31. The company noted it “continued to experience elevated demand in its stores.” The company’s stores, which were deemed essential, have remained open throughout the pandemic.
The new stores feature a range of home and beauty goods, the majority of which will be priced around $5. The company said Popshelf stores target women in suburban areas that earn between $50,000 and $125,000 a year.
Popshelf customers can expect to find “surprising deals” along with seasonal specials and limited-time items, the company says. Each store will be about 9,000 square feet, making them bigger than Dollar General’s regular convenience stores.

Officer’s Halloween cemetery display in MO being called ‘awful’ and ‘disrespectful’ – one of the crosses read “Here Lies Michael Brown, a fat ghetto clown.”
DESOTO, Mo. (KMOV.com) — The De Soto Police Department has launched an internal investigation after one of their officers’ Halloween display he had in his front yard last year.
Photos of a mock graveyard have been circulating on social media this week and many are finding the display disrespectful and offensive.
“We take it seriously and we’re going to fully investigate,” said De Soto Police Chief Jeff McCreary
The photos show several crosses with names on them that are used as grave markers. The wording on one of the crosses says, “Here lies Michael Brown, a fat ghetto clown.”
“I think it’s absolutely wrong.” said Mandy Peters.
People have been critical of the Halloween display on social media and in De Soto.
“I think it’s absolutely ridiculous. It’s awful,” said Tammie Krodinger.
The officer who put up the display was hired by the De Soto Police Department in 2019. But McCreary wouldn’t say if the officer was employed by the department at the time the display was up.
News 4 has learned the officer worked for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department from 1999 to 2019. During that time, he was named officer of the month for District 8 for the month of February 2010. And in 2011, he arrested a man for impersonating a police officer when the suspect tried to pull over the off-duty officer as he drove on I-55 south of St. Louis.
McCreary said he’s assigned two people to the internal investigation and that it could take up to a week to complete.

Kanye West slammed for urging voters to write him in for president on ballots
Kanye West is facing the music for his delusional “write-in” presidential bid.
The 43-year-old hip-hop star was slammed Friday for encouraging fans to write him in for president on 2020 election ballots, potentially siphoning votes from Democratic nominee Joe Biden.
The billionaire sneaker mogul on Thursday night tweeted a photo of his name penned on a mail-in ballot with the caption “friends writing me in” — sparking outrage from onlookers.
“You used to be talented and wise. Now you are a sad loser,” one critic bashed.
“Are you insane?” another observer tweeted, as a third fumed, “You’ve become a sad joke, Kanye.”
Activists quickly urged observers to report West, who launched a late-entry White House bid as an independent, to Twitter “for attempted voter suppression.”
“A vote for Kanye is a vote for Trump,” another critic slammed.
Democrats fear the hip-hop maven could thwart Biden’s chance at becoming president by funneling away votes from black and swing-state voters.

Woman gives birth to premature baby on flight with help of doctor on board
Finally, some good airline news during the coronavirus pandemic.
Flight attendants had their hands full when a tiny customer made an early arrival – after being born prematurely during a low-cost Indian airline flight, according to The Sun.
The newborn was clearly not interested in social distancing aboard the IndiGo flight from Delhi to Bengaluru on Wednesday, when his mom went into labor less than 32 weeks into her pregnancy.
Fortunately, a doctor – a gynecologist, no less – happened to be sitting nearby and sprung into action as the baby earned his wings.
“Was on @IndiGo6E 6E 122 flight to BLR, woman gives birth mid-air, amazing team work of indigo flight attendants,” passenger Prabhu Stavarmath said in a tweet.
“They set up a hospital in minutes and the new born cried mid-air. Dr Shailaja Vallabhani was fortunately on this flight!” he added about the doctor, who works at Cloud Nine hospitals Bengaluru.
The cabin crew members also were hailed for reaching new heights in customer service by assisting the doctor while wearing personal protective equipment, according to the Deccan Herald.
“Kudos for such presence of mind and great work,” an airline insider told the news outlet.
Soon after landing, the baby and his mom received a round of applause from fellow passengers and IndiGo staffers before being whisked to a medical facility at Kempegowda International Airport for preliminary checkup.
Meanwhile, social media was abuzz with questions about whether the young flier will get free lifetime airfare, as is customary, for being born during the flight.
Women are not permitted to fly if they are more than 36 weeks’ pregnant – but in this case, the mother was reportedly a month shy of that mark.

Ex-eBay workers plead guilty to cyberstalking couple, sending them live cockroaches
Two former eBay intelligence employees have pleaded guilty in a cyberstalking campaign against a Massachusetts couple — whose newsletter was critical of the company – in which they sent them live cockroaches, a fetal pig and a bloody pig mask, officials said.
Stephanie Popp, 33, and Veronica Zea, 26, and several other employees harassed the couple on Twitter and sent them the disturbing items in the mail, federal prosecutors said in Boston.
Popp, the e-commerce giant’s former senior manager of global intelligence, and Zea, a contractor who worked as an intelligence analyst, pleaded guilty Thursday to conspiring to commit cyberstalking and conspiring to tamper with a witness, according to Reuters.
They are among seven former employees who prosecutors said targeted the couple in Natick, Massachusetts. Three others are expected to plead guilty later this month.
Prosecutors said they also sent porn in the couple’s name to neighbors, planned to install a GPS device in their vehicle, posted their names and address online and encouraged strangers to knock on their door.
Other items sent included a funeral wreath and a book on surviving the loss of a spouse, according to the prosecutor.
The couple was targeted after their online outlet – EcommerceBytes — published an article about a lawsuit filed by eBay accusing Amazon of poaching its sellers, officials said.
After the newsletter published the article, two executives sent or forwarded text messages saying it was time to “take down” the editor of the newsletter, according to Masslive.com.
Prosecutors plan to recommend prison sentences of 41 months for Popp, and 30 months for Zea when they are sentenced in February. Both of them are from San Jose, California, where eBay is headquartered.
