Teen slams Huda Beauty over ‘hidden’ warning: ‘Are you kidding me?’
A teenager is going viral after sharing her drastic-looking reaction to a popular makeup brand.
The 17-year-old, who goes by the name Zarina on social media, shared her issue in a video on her TikTok account, which has since been viewed more than 300,000 times.
In the clip, Zarina explains what happened when she attempted to apply a set of eye makeup from Huda Beauty, the brand founded by the makeup artist and blogger Huda Kattan.
“You’re probably wondering, ‘Zarina, why do your eyes look like this?’” the teenager begins her video, immediately revealing large, red splotches on her face.
Zarina goes on to tell her followers that she bought the brand’s Neon Obsessions Palette from Sephora, which she described as an “eye shadow palette.” She then flips over the makeup and peels back a label to reveal that the product is not intended for use on the eyes.

The 17-year-old also says she’s “disowning” Huda Beauty for the “hidden” warning.
“Are you freaking kidding me? It’s an eye shadow palette. And the fact that she tried to hide it. Cancel her,” Zarina concludes, referring to Kattan.
Zarina’s video immediately went viral, drawing hundreds of responses that shared her outrage. Others, however, were less sympathetic, saying the teen should have known better.
“Sis I ain’t trying to attack you but this isn’t anything new,” one commenter wrote. “Most bright pinks and reds stain and most of them have this warning.”
However, many who had used the product in the past seemed to share Zarina’s frustration. There are several negative reviews on Sephora for the palette, with several customers citing the eye warning as the biggest issue.
“I tried to take it off with a make up wipe and washed my face but the product stained my skin and I couldn’t get it off. Poor product,” one reviewer wrote.
“Stains the eye and the actual label that says not for the eye area is hidden under a sticker. why is an eyeshadow palette not for the eyes?” another added.

Demi Lovato on Her ‘Overworked’ Disney Days
Demi Lovato’s Disney days are part of her history and fans often want to know more about how that experience shaped her career and, of course, if she’s still close with her fellow Disney stars from back in the day. She revealed in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar that she’s not friends with all of them anymore and opened up about how “overworked” she was at the time.
Lovato is ‘grateful’ for the time but it wasn’t easy
Lovato became a household name when she starred in the Disney original movie Camp Rock and the show Sonny With a Chance. She’s grateful for that opportunity but there were a lot of the pitfalls of fame that came with it.
In the May 2020 issue of Harper’s Bazaar, Lovato addressed how being overworked played a role in her mental health, as she developed an eating disorder, experimented with drugs and alcohol, and entered rehab when she was 18.
“I’m grateful for the opportunities that I got,” Lovato acknowledged about that time. “Do I wish that I’d had more downtime? Yes. I think when you are a teenager and you’re given your big break, you’ll do anything to make it happen.”
The singer added, “I do feel that a lot of the way some of my life was handled and lived led to me kind of having a bit of a downfall, just because I was so overworked and I wasn’t dedicating enough time to my mental health or my personal life.”
She’s not still friends with all of her Disney-era pals
Lovato bonded with some of her fellow Disney Channel co-stars when she was a teen, but she’s not friends with all of them anymore. When asked about whether she and the Jonas Brothers are still in touch, “she shakes her head no,” the interviewer writes.
Her on-again/off-again relationship with Selena Gomez, who was her BFF back in the day is also over. “When you grow up with somebody, you’re always going to have love for them,” she said of Gomez. “But I’m not friends with her, so it [Gomez praising Lovato’s Grammys performance] felt…” Lovato didn’t finish the thought, but added, “I will always have love for her, and I wish everybody nothing but the best.”
She’s friends with Miley Cyrus
Lovato and Miley Cyrus, however, remain friends. “I talk to Miley. She’s awesome, and I love her to death and always will, always have. But I think she’s kind of the only one from that era that I still stay in touch with.”
The two addressed their friendship during a March Instagram Live for Cyrus’ show Bright Minded: Live With Miley.
“Life is moving so fast that it’s usually hard to slow ourselves down and appreciate people in our lives, and you’ve been that person for me for so many years and we’ve been friends for so long,” Cyrus said at the time.
“I feel like you’ve always been such a light and that’s why we connected at 14. We connected then because we just saw something in each other. Maybe it was because of spirituality or maybe it was just our hearts,” she added.

California cop dies after being denied a coronavirus test twice
A California police officer died of coronavirus complications after doctors twice shot down her requests to be tested for the bug, according to a report.
Santa Rosa police Detective Marylou Armer, 43, was only able to secure a test that confirmed her diagnosis after it was “too late,” her family told the Santa Rosa Press Democrat.
Her older sister, Mari Lau, said Armer had gone twice to Kaiser Permanente’s Vallejo Medical Center with a fever, body aches body and shortness of breath.
But a doctor reportedly told the cop that she was not considered a candidate for a test because of her age and lack of underlying medical conditions.
Ultimately, she wasn’t tested until she went to the emergency room, where she was intubated and placed in a medically induced coma, the outlet reported.
“It was too late already,” Lau said, adding that her sister’s inability to get tested was “very frustrating.”
Armer succumbed to the virus March 31, just days after she received her confirmed diagnosis, according to the report.
Kaiser confirmed in a statement that Armer wasn’t immediately tested, the Press Democrat reported.
Dr. David Witt, Kaiser’s national infectious disease expert, said doctors had adhered to “public health authority testing guidelines, which have been based on a very limited availability of tests.”
“We offer heartfelt sympathies to Detective Armer’s family and loved ones at this profoundly difficult time,” Witt said.

Florida man allegedly placed fake pizza orders in NJ, wished coronavirus on Italians
A known Florida scammer is wanted by New Jersey authorities for allegedly calling in thousands of dollars worth of phony pizza orders in the state, claiming the food was being donated to the police, authorities said.
Sudeep Khetani, 34, who is believed to be in Orlando, never paid for any of the orders that he placed at several Garden State pizzerias, including in South Brunswick, Montgomery and Plainsboro, according to the South Brunswick Township Police Department.
On several occasions when the restaurants called Khetani back, he bizarrely said he wished Italians would get infected with the coronavirus, police said.
“It is incomprehensible that a suspect would play on the goodwill of so many during these difficult times,” said Chief Raymond Hayducka of the South Brunswick Township Police Department.
“Our businesses are all struggling and every dollar matters. I will not tolerate someone trying to take advantage of our community in these difficult days.”
Police were eventually able to identify Khetani through the fake phone number he used.
New Jersey and Florida authorities are working together to track Khetani down.
Khetani is on probation in the Sunshine State for selling fake Disney World tickets, police said.

Exploiting Black Death For Clicks: TMZ Posts Graphic Photos From Tarvaris Jackson’s Crash
TMZ has continually faced scrutiny for taking things too far when reporting Black death, including posting graphic photos before the news of the deceased has even had time to settle with family members.
By Monday morning, it was revealed that former Minnesota Vikings and Seattle Seahawks quarterback Tarvaris Jackson died in a car crash at 36 years old and already, TMZ published graphic photos of the crash.
A Tennessee State spokesperson confirmed the news of Jackson’s death to ESPN. Jackson was the Tigers’ quarterback coach in 2019 after a year of acting as quality control and quarterback coach at his alma mater, Alabama State University, an HBCU.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said Jackson was involved in a single-vehicle crash at 8:50 p.m. on Sunday. They report that the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro he was driving left the roadway, hit a tree, then overturned. Jackson was rushed to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead. He was survived by his wife Lakitta, and three children, Tarvaris, Takayla and Tyson.
Not too long ago, TMZ received backlash for their coverage of Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna‘s death in a helicopter crash. Color of Change started a petition, saying “Vanessa Bryant didn’t deserve to find out her husband and child passed on TMZ. While the Bryant family waited for official confirmation of the worst news of their lives, TMZ was all too eager to capitalize on their loss. TMZ had the responsibility to report factual information with integrity and they failed.”
The petition also condemned the outlet for reporting on Brooklyn rapper Pop Smoke‘s death before his family was notified. They were slammed for releasing video footage of paramedics trying to resuscitate the rapper after he was shot.
“TMZ disregarded the effects its rush news reporting has on surviving family members or fans of the deceased – even releasing footage of paramedics working to resuscitate the 20-year-old rapper,” the petition said.
Although Nipsey Hussle‘s death wasn’t mentioned in the petition, TMZ also released surveillance footage of the rapper’s murder in 2019, showing him being shot several times and also kicked by his killer.
In 2018, TMZ reported the death of Florida rapper XXXTentacion and included video footage of the rapper in his car after being shot.
The Color of Change petition went on to mention TMZ falsely reporting that Lil Wayne was in a coma and on life support in 2013. It also criticized TMZ’s reporting of Whitney Houston‘s death, claiming that the outlet “bribed hotel employees into letting him into her room, so he could take photos of the bath tub in which her body was found.”
Color of Change called on advertisers to “drop TMZ until they institute a new policy to consult with families before reporting Black celebrity deaths.”
Meanwhile, celebrities and athletes, such as former teammate Russell Wilson, have posted their condolences on social media regarding Jackson’s death. “TJack… you will be missed,” wrote Wilson in a tweet. “Praying for your family…Love you man.”

An ER doctor loses custody of daughter because of coronavirus fears
(CNN) — An emergency room doctor in Miami, Florida, has temporarily lost custody of her 4-year-old daughter while she treats patients during the coronavirus pandemic.
Dr. Theresa Greene told CNN’s New Day that she was appealing the emergency order that granted her ex-husband full custody of their daughter.
“I think it’s not fair, it’s cruel to ask me to choose between my child and the oath I took as a physician,” Greene said. “I won’t abandon my team at work or the patients who will increasingly look to me to save their lives in the coming weeks, but it’s torture.”
Greene and her ex-husband have been divorced for almost two years and have split time with their daughter evenly.
Last week, Circuit Court Judge Bernard Shapiro ruled that the child should stay with her father, Eric Greene, to limit the risk of exposure to coronavirus.
“The Court does not enter this Order lightly but given the pandemic in Florida and the recent increase in confirmed COVID-19 cases, the Court finds in order to insulate and protect the best interests and health of the minor child, this Order must be entered on a temporary basis,” the judge wrote in the court ruling.
Theresa Greene told CNN that she felt the order discriminated against her as a divorced parent.
“If I was married I’d be given the opportunity to go home to my child, no one could tell me I shouldn’t do that,” she said.See Why Digital Video Is Transforming the Way Content Is DistributedLearn best practices for video distribution – how to connect with and build your audience.Ad By Facebook See More
Theresa Greene said she’s been able to wear full PPE while treating patients and that she’s done everything she can to avoid contracting the disease. She said her daughter generally stays with her ex-husband when she works.
“Yes it is severe and there is danger, and we’re being very careful,” she said. “We use every thing we can. I’ve actually worn equipment above and beyond to protect myself and my child.”
In a statement, Eric Greene’s attorney Paul Leinoff said that “Mr. Greene and I have the upmost respect for Dr. Greene’s commitment to her critical work during this pandemic.”
“We recognize and genuinely appreciate the sacrifices that she and all healthcare workers are all currently making to save lives and prevent further illness in Florida and around the world. The Greenes’ temporary timesharing dispute was presented before the Court based upon the specific facts of this individual family and a decision was reached based upon the best interests and safety of a minor child, limited to the temporary circumstances presented by COVID-19. The Court’s ruling was not intended to serve as a blanket rule, nor should it. Pursuant to Mr. Greene’s request and as ordered by the Court, Dr. Greene is to be provided future make-up timesharing for each day missed during this challenging time and daily video communication with the child. We will continue to pursue ways to resolve this delicate situation and believe that a result can be achieved safely and fairly,” Leinoff wrote.
Theresa Greene said that her daughter doesn’t understand what’s going on, but she knows that her mom is sad.
“I want her when she grows up to be proud of me by abiding to the oath that I took when I went into medicine, but I also know that she needs me now,” she said.
Theresa Greene said she doesn’t know when she’ll get to see her daughter again, because there’s no way to know when the pandemic will be over.

Joe Exotic has a secret ex-wife, adult son who appeared in ‘Tiger King’
Reality TV sensation Joe Exotic has a secret ex-wife — as well as an adult son who appeared on “Tiger King,” his former producer has revealed.
“Very few people realize Joe was married to a woman years before,” producer Rick Kirkham revealed during a livestreamed Q&A session Saturday about the Netflix show, according to the Sun.
Kirkham — who produced the “Joe Exotic” show for him — did not reveal if the openly gay zookeeper’s former wife was Kim, the ex-girlfriend said to have fathered his son, Brandon Chappell, who is now 38 with three kids of his own.
“He had children and his son came to work at the zoo the summer that I was there, the very first summer,” Kirkham revealed, according to the report.
“His son Brandon is in the documentary and I’m surprised that the documentary didn’t bring that up,” he said of the reality TV star whose relationships with men were central to much of the show.
“Joe treated his son worse than he treated the other employees. He expected more out of him, he expected him to take more leadership and do harder work,” the producer continued. “He had his son sweeping the park instead of giving him a decent job, feeding the animals or something like that. It was almost as though he regretted having a child, that he regretted having been married.”
Exotic, aka Joe Maldonado-Passage, was “in and out of Brandon’s life when he was growing up,” the zookeeper’s niece, Chealsi Putman, has told the Daily Mail.
“Joe would go around telling everyone this was his son, he made no secret about it,” she said.

Kenya Moore and Marc Daly are working on their marriage
Kenya Moore and Marc Daly are working on their relationship, despite the limitations presented by the coronavirus pandemic.
The “RHOA” star, 49, revealed that she and her estranged husband, 49, are working on their marriage even though they aren’t spending this extended time in quarantine together.
“We’re not together being quarantined because when everything happened he was in New York and now he’s just trying to keep his restaurant alive and feeding people at the hospital and doing his own deliveries and stuff like that,” she said on Sunday night’s episode of “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.”
Daly owns Brooklyn-based restaurant SoCo. According to the restaurant’s Instagram page, SoCo does weekly deliveries to Interfaith Medical Center in addition to modifying its hours for to-go and delivery orders.
Moore continued, “We’re actually getting along better than we’ve gotten along probably shortly after we got married. I mean it’s just been no arguments, no real fights or disagreements and he’s been really sweet and caring and thoughtful. It’s like ‘Wow, you know, this is the man I’m married.’”
The pair were married in 2017 during a private ceremony in St. Lucia. Their daughter, Brooklyn Doris Daly, was born in November 2018. The couple split less than a year later in September 2019.
Speaking of their often rocky separation, Moore said in February that the two were now in a “good place” and hinted at reconciliation.
“They are still in the closet, yes,” she told Cohen of Daly’s clothes at her home. “He has been here. He has stayed here when he comes to town so his clothes are still there. I did start to box them up and then you know in his true fashion he came back and he was like, ‘I don’t want to break up. I want to work on our marriage.”

Virginia pastor who defiantly held church service dies of coronavirus
He practiced what he preached — then he died of coronavirus.
An evangelical pastor died of COVID-19 just weeks after proudly showing off how packed his Virginia church was — and vowing to keep preaching “unless I’m in jail or the hospital.”
In his last known in-person service on March 22, Bishop Gerald O. Glenn got his congregation at Richmond’s New Deliverance Evangelistic Church to stand to prove how many were there despite warnings against gatherings of more than 10 people.
“I firmly believe that God is larger than this dreaded virus. You can quote me on that,” he said, repeating it a second time to claps, saying that “people are healed” in his church.
Happily announcing he was being “controversial” by being “in violation” of safety protocols — with “way more than 10 people” at the church — he vowed to keep his church open “unless I’m in jail or the hospital.”
“I am essential,” he said of remaining open, adding, “I’m a preacher — I talk to God!”
On Sunday, his church announced “with an exceedingly sorrowful and heavy heart” that the pastor had died a week after being diagnosed with COVID-19.
His wife, Marcietia Glenn, is also sick with the bug, with church members offering their prayers.
Their daughter, Mar-Gerie Crawley, told WTVR that her father initially dismissed his symptoms because he has a condition that often leads to fevers and infections.
She is now urging everyone to stay home.
“It becomes very real to you,” she told WTVR after her parents’ diagnoses.
“I just beg people to understand the severity and the seriousness of this, because people are saying it’s not just about us, it’s about everyone around us.”
