Detective calls for execution of LGBT people in church sermon
A Tennessee sheriff’s detective gave a church sermon calling for the government to arrest and “speedily” execute LGBT people.
The Knox County Attorney General’s Office said it is probing the lecture Knox County Sheriff’s Detective Grayson Fritts gave to his congregation at Scripture Baptist Church on June 2, the Knoxville News Sentinel reported Wednesday.
“God has instilled the power of civil government to send the police in 2019 out to these LGBT FREAKS and arrest them,” Fritts can be heard ranting in a video of the hour-long sermon titled “Sodomite Reprobates.”
“Have a trial for them, and if they are convicted then they are to be put to death… do you understand that? It’s a capital crime to be carried out by our government.”
Fritts referenced his law enforcement career multiple times during the sermon telling his congregation “such arrests and executions should be carried out by our government, not Christians … unless you’re a policeman.”
A few days before delivering the sermon, Fritts a 20-year county employee, requested early retirement from the sheriff’s department and is now on paid leave until it takes effect July 19, Sheriff Tom Spangler said.
“I want to be very clear that it is my responsibility to ensure equal protection to ALL citizens of Knox County, Tennessee under the law, my oath and the United States Constitution without discrimination or hesitation,” Spangler said. “Rest assured that I have and will continue to do so.”

New Jersey woman found dead at her home during lunch break
A 26-year-old New Jersey woman was found dead in her apartment — after neighbors recalled hearing faint screams and furniture moving, according to reports.
Carolyn Byington had left work to go home for lunch on Monday but never returned, prompting coworkers to ask cops to do a wellness check, ABC 7 reported.
She was found dead in her apartment in Plainsboro just before 6 p.m., the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office said. Authorities did not say how she died.
Neighbors in the Hunters Glen apartment complex told ABC they recalled hearing faint screams and the sound of furniture being moved — but it’s unclear if anyone called 911.
They said they hadn’t seen anyone leave the apartment.
Other residents told News 12 they heard the screams coming from Byington’s apartment around 1 p.m.
Byington’s death was ruled a homicide and authorities are investigating.
She worked at Engine, a marketing firm in Princeton.
“Engine is in mourning over this shocking, senseless tragedy,” the company said in a statement. “Carolyn was deeply cared about by her colleagues. We extend our heartfelt thoughts and prayers to her family and friends.”

Teen shot to death in front of his father while trying to sell Xbox
GARY, Ind. — A 16-year-old Indiana boy was shot and killed Thursday while attempting to sell his Xbox.
The teen, identified as Johnny Peluyera, of Gary, was with his father when they met up with two men near 51st and Maryland streets to sell the teen’s Xbox. They arranged the meeting using an online sales app.
The boy’s father said he knew something wasn’t quite right. He spotted a gun and tried to warn his son, but the teen was shot in the back as he tried to run back to his father’s car.
Peluyera was pronounced dead shortly after.
His mother, Kelly Arroyo said she can’t believer her son is gone. She said he was a wonderful kid who loved video games and cars. He had just gotten his license and was about to get his own Trans Am.
His parents and sister were heartbroken.
“I just completely don’t understand,” his mother said. “I don’t understand how somebody, over an Xbox, can take somebody’s life.”
The men were described as two black males in their late teens to early 20s. No further description was provided. Police believe the men are from the area, and are asking for the public’s assistance.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
Police want the public to remember to always meet at a safe place — like a police department’s parking lot — when dealing with online sales.
Peluyera was set to be a junior at Merrillville High School in the fall.

Grandparents thwart man’s attempt to abduct 6-year-old girl from apartment
LEBANON, Ind. – Police arrested a man accused of trying to take a little girl from her grandparents’ Indiana apartment.
Last Monday night, 37-year-old Benjamin Dillon broke busted through the front door and a bedroom door inside the apartment and threatened to take the girl, claiming she was his daughter, Lebanon police said.
Police said the 6-year-old girl and her grandmother were sleeping in a back bedroom when he forced his way in.
“I was sound asleep in my bedroom and this guy came kicking in and said, ‘You have my daughter,’” recalled grandmother Patty Roth.
“I was nervous, very nervous. I was shaking so bad,” said Roth.
Roth told WXIN Dillon was determined to take her granddaughter, but her husband got Dillon out of their apartment. When police showed up, Dillon became aggressive. According to the police report, he threatened officers and ended up fighting them. Officers used a Taser multiple times.
“I don’t understand why he picked our apartment. I’ll never figure that one out,” said Roth.
The girl’s grandparents believe Dillon was on drugs. Court records show Dillon has been in trouble before, already arrested twice so far this year on drug charges.
“I hope he gets the help he needs and I hope he gets himself back on his feet,” said Roth.
The 6-year-old girl told police she wasn’t hurt, just scared. The girl’s grandmother warned the stranger to stay away from her family and her home.
“I wouldn’t want him walking back in my apartment again. He will regret it the next time,” she said.
Dillon faces a long list of charges including burglary, battery on a law enforcement officer, and intimidation.

Cuba Gooding Jr.’s lawyer claims surveillance video shows ‘no criminality’
Article via PageSix
A lawyer for Cuba Gooding Jr. says surveillance video shows the “Jerry Maguire” star is innocent of groping allegations at a Manhattan rooftop bar — and now he’s reconsidering turning himself in to authorities in New York, according to reports.
After saying Gooding plans to surrender to sex-crimes detectives on Thursday, attorney Mark Heller told TMZ that video from Magic Hour Rooftop Bar and Lounge shows “absolutely no criminality taking place on the part of my client.”
Heller said that whether or not his client will turn himself in Thursday — as they previously planned — is now up in the air.
Heller did not return calls for comment early Thursday and the video in question has not been released publicly.
The hard-partying actor and his attorneys planned to meet with cops at Manhattan’s Special Victims Division in Harlem around noon on Thursday, Heller said earlier on Wednesday.
The Oscar winner planned to be formally arrested, fingerprinted and have his mugshot taken, sources said.
“He will be arrested for forcible touching, but the charges will be determined by the ADA,” added one law-enforcement source.
Gooding was accused of groping the 30-year-old woman around 9 p.m. Sunday while drunk at the lounge on Seventh Avenue, the woman claimed. She called 911 around 1 a.m. Monday.

Both Amazon and Walmart offer next-day delivery on some items.

This Woman Started Lactating From Her Vulva After Childbirth
Article via Health
Most new moms have loads of questions about breastfeeding after having their first child. How can I tell if my newborn is getting enough milk? Should breastfeeding be this painful? Etc, etc. However, here’s one that we haven’t seen before (until now): What happens if you start lactating from your vulva?
A case report published yesterday in the journal Obstetrics &Gynecologyhas brought this nearly unbelievable question to our attention.
The case report features the story of a 29-year-old woman who, four days after giving birth, suffered painful vulvar swelling. Her vulva was not only swollen and painful but also leaking “milky white fluid.”
Ectopic breast tissue can potentially be malignant just like regular breast tissue. The new case report explains that it’s important that doctors recognize the possibility of ectopic breast tissue in the vulva so as not to mistake it for a vulvar mass, such as a vulvar carcinoma.
The patient featured in the new case report had received sutures after giving birth, and they were covering the excretory duct in her vulva. She was given oral antibiotics to treat a “slight inflammatory reaction” that occurred around her incision. After the sutures were removed, the patient’s pain, swelling, and the milk secretion coming from her vulva decreased. The case report states that the woman was able to continue breastfeeding.
It also notes that doctors warned the patient that her ectopic breast tissue of the vulva could become malignant. However, as of one year after giving birth, the patient hadn’t opted to have her vulvar breast tissue excised.
Jury Finds Oklahoma Man Guilty of Holding Stepdaughter Captive for 19 Years, Fathering 9 Kids With Her
A 64-year-old man accused of abducting his stepdaughter and holding her captive for 19 years in Mexico and elsewhere while fathering her nine children has been found guilty of kidnapping and other charges.
A jury found Henri Michelle Piette guilty June 6 on federal charges of kidnapping and travel with intent to engage in sexual act with a juvenile, according to federal court records in Muskogee, Oklahoma, about 122 miles (196 kilometers) east of Oklahoma City. No sentencing date was set, but Piette faces up to life in prison on the kidnapping conviction.
Piette still faces state charges of first-degree rape of a victim under age 14, child abuse by injury and two counts of lewd molestation, according to Wagoner County court records. A hearing in that case is scheduled Aug. 7.
A federal grand jury indicted Piette in December 2017 for allegedly kidnapping Rosalynn Michelle McGinnis in 1997 when she was about 11 years old and traveling with the intent to have sex with her. Federal prosecutors said she gave birth to the first child in 2000 when she was 15.
The Associated Press generally doesn’t identify people who say they have been sexually abused, but McGinnis has discussed her case publicly.
Prosecutors say the victim was kidnapped from her home in eastern Oklahoma where she had been living with her mother, who had been in a relationship with Piette. She conceived two children with Piette while she was younger than 18 and another seven after she turned 18, officials said.
She managed to escape from Piette with her children in July 2016 and went to the U.S. Consular General’s Office in Nogales, Mexico, where she secured passports for herself and the children so they could enter the U.S.

Nurse accused of killing 8 babies rearrested for attempted murder
A nurse in England accused of killing eight babies and attempting to kill at least six others, was rearrested Monday for the attempted murder of three more, police said.
Authorities in Cheshire announced on Thursday that “a healthcare professional” was taken into custody again as part of an “ongoing investigation” against them.
Local media outlets, including the BBC, identified the professional as Lucy Letby, a nurse who was first arrested in July 2018 on suspicion of murder as investigators connected her to the deaths of eight babies, and attempted deaths of another six infants at the Countess of Chester Hospital.
Police said the suspect was rearrested on Monday for allegedly trying to kill another three babies.
Authorities are investigating the deaths of 17 babies between 2015 and 2016, and another 16 non-fatal collapses in the hospital’s neonatal unit from March 2015 to July 2016, the BBC reported.
“This is an extremely difficult time for all the families and it is important to remember that at the heart of this there are a number of families seeking answers as to what happened to their children,” Paul Hughes, detective inspector of the Cheshire Constabulary, said in a statement.
“We remain committed to carrying out a thorough investigation as soon as possible and I want to reassure people that we are doing everything we can, as quickly as we can, to identify what has led to these baby deaths and collapses.”
Letby had been on bail since last July. Police confirmed the suspect “has been bailed pending further enquiries.” A spokesperson for the Countess of Chester Hospital told the BBC it was “cooperating fully” with police.

Infant born with drugs in system found dead in 30-foot-deep well; parents arrested
SCIOTO COUNTY, Ohio – The parents of a 4-month-old baby have been arrested after the body of their child was found in a 30-foot-deep well in Ohio.
Jessica D. Groves, 39, and Daniel A. Groves, 41, face charges including of abduction and kidnapping. Authorities say more charges will be presented to the grand jury on a later date.
According to the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office, the baby, Dylan Groves, became legal custody of Scioto County Children Services after he was born because he had illicit drugs in his system. The baby was later placed into the custody of his father. The father, police say, was initially compliant with requirements, but started to miss court dates, home visits and doctor appointments.
Scioto County Children Services made several attempts to locate the child.
On June 10, police were able to secure a search warrant for the parents’ home and property. During the search, detectives found reason to believe that the missing baby had been dead since March.
Jessica was arrested. Daniel, after a six-hour stand-off, was also arrested.
On June 12, police announced that detectives recovered the baby’s body 30 feet deep in the bottom of a well. The body was taken to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office for an autopsy.
During their search, authorities found several stolen items on the property, including two 4-wheelers, an ATV, two stolen trailers, a riding lawn mower, a camper and other items valued at $42,000.
The couple also face charges for theft.
