White Woman With a Gun Tells Black Couple to Leave Mississippi Campground
A white woman who threatened a black couple at a campground in Mississippi with a gun because they did not have a reservation has been fired.
On Tuesday, Kampgrounds of America spokesman Mike Gast told The Associated Press that the unidentified employee had been fired, adding the company “does not condone the use of a firearm in any manner.”
On Sunday, Jessica Richardson and her husband were trying to enjoy a picnic with their dog by Oktibbeha County Lake, located approximately 12 miles northwest of Starkville, Mississippi.
When the couple arrived at the nearby Kampgrounds of America they reportedly asked at the reception whether they needed to stay at the campsite to spend the day by the nearby lake and were told access to the latter was not exclusive to guests.
However, soon after they started walking, Richardson and her husband were approached by an elderly white female, who pulled her truck up next to them. The woman then got off her vehicle and took out a gun. She ordered the couple to leave the campsite after learning they did not have a reservation.
The whole incident was captured on camera by Richardson, who then posted the footage on Facebook with the caption “racism is alive and well.”
In the video, Richardson can be heard saying: “This lady just pulled a gun because we [are] out here and don’t have reservations.
“The only thing you had to tell us was to leave, we would have left. You didn’t have to pull a gun.”
The woman, who was wearing a Kampgrounds of America T-shirt, can then be heard telling the couple they have to leave the campsite as they are not allowed on the premises.
“Well I’m just telling you you need to leave because it’s under private ownership,” she said before eventually putting the gun away.
“You can’t be out here.”
Shortly after the video was posted on Facebook, Kampgrounds of America confirmed they had been made aware of the incident and were investigating it.
“Kampgrounds of America is currently looking into the matter and reaching out to all of the parties involved,” it said in a statement.
“Kampgrounds of America prides itself on providing a welcoming, safe environment for everyone to enjoy the outdoors.”
According to its website, Kampgrounds of America is the world’s largest system of privately held campgrounds and the company operates almost 500 different sites across the U.S. and Canada.

FL Man Charged After Impregnating Girl, 13, Who Thought She Was Constipated
A 70-year-old man is facing multiple child sex abuse charges after allegedly impregnating a 13-year-old girl who arrived at a hospital believing she was constipated.
Renaud Jerome, of Boca Raton, Florida, is accused of three counts of sexual activity with a child and one count of impregnating a child after it was revealed the girl he had been living with was 14-weeks pregnant.
The 13-year-old arrived at North Broward Medical Center in Pompano Beach on the morning of May 24 to complain that she was in pain.
She was then medically assessed by doctors who revealed she was more than three months pregnant. The Florida Department of Children and Families and the Broward County Sheriff’s Office were then called, reports the Miami Herald.
According to a police report, the girl said she was living with Jerome and that he would repeatedly touch and have sex with her. The heavily redacted police report does not reveal what the relationship is between the girl and Jerome. The suspect, who only speaks Creole, told police that he looks after the 13-year-old at times at his Boca Raton home.
“Jerome stated that within the last couple of months he has had consensual vaginal intercourse with [redacted] three times,” the Boca Raton police report said. “Jerome stated that
was interested in him more than he was interested in her and never forced her to do anything.”
Jerome also admitted that the unborn child is his, reports The Palm Beach Post. He is being held in the Palm Beach County Jail without the possibility of posting bond. A judge has also ordered that he has no contact with the girl or anyone else under the age of 18 pending the outcome of the investigation.
The age of consent in Florida is 18, although close age exemptions exist meaning those aged 16 or 17 can lawfully consent to sexual intercourse with a partner no older than age 23. No child under the age of 16 can legally consent to sex in Florida.
The state also introduced a so-called “Romeo and Juliet law” designed to stop teenagers or high school age couples being labeled as sex offenders for having consensual sex with each other.

Woman fatally shot while holding baby used her body to shield child
CHICAGO — A 24-year-old woman shot as she held a baby on Chicago’s Northwest Side Tuesday morning shielded the child with her body, police said, and later died from her wounds.
According to police, the woman was holding a 1-year-old baby girl believed to be her own as she spoke with acquaintances on the 1200 Block of North Mason Avenue Tuesday morning. Then, around 8:50 a.m., two males stepped out of a silver Chevy Impala and fired shots at the group.
The first shot struck the 24-year-old woman in the upper torso, according to police, and she sought cover behind cars parked nearby with the baby.
“She moved towards the rear of a parked vehicle and fell to the ground and laid over her child to shield her,” said CPD Officer Michelle Tannehill, Office of Communications.
After the shooting, a group of “unknown” people took the woman to West Suburban Hospital, Tannehill said, where she was later pronounced dead.
While police believe the woman was not the intended target, they say the incident was likely not random.
“This is not a random act of violence, unfortunately, police are investigating – it could possibly have been a targeted incident due to gang conflicts and retaliations in the area,” Tannehill said.
Area North detectives are viewing surveillance and video footage and photos as the investigation continues, Tannehill said.

Chicago Officer Fired After Being Recorded Asking Teen for Sex in Return for Impounded Car
A Chicago police officer who allegedly asked a 17-year-old girl for sex in return for getting her mother’s impounded car released by the city has been fired.
The Chicago Tribune reports that the city’s police board agreed with Superintendent Eddie Johnson’s recommendation to fire Officer Darius Alexander in a 9-0 vote after hearing conversations secretly recorded by the teen that confirmed Alexander was soliciting her and a friend for sex.
In firing Alexander, the board criticized the police department for taking more than six years to bring disciplinary charges against Alexander. Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi called the delay “inexcusable and indefensible.” He said the department has implemented a comprehensive electronic case management system that will speed the process up by allowing supervisors to monitor such investigations in real time.

Alabama man receives someone eles’s urine sample instead of the shower rings he ordered from Amazon
TUSCUMBIA, Ala. – He thought he was ordering some household goods off Amazon. Instead, what a man from Alabama got wasn’t even close – he wants to know why he was sent somebody else’s urine.
It started as a simple Prime order on Amazon.
“They said it’d be shipped in two different packages,” he said.
Most Prime members know the free two-day shipping is a whiz.
“I got an email Thursday morning saying the package had been delivered,” he said.
But the man from Tuscumbia says, in this case, the accuracy of the order likely wasn’t the number one priority.
“I opened it. And when I reached in and pulled it out. Some kind of urine specimen or something like that.”
It wasn’t the shower curtain rings he ordered. “I was very surprised. My son was standing there watching me open it and he got a good laugh out of it.”
He asked WHNT not to use his name, but the container inside the bag did include a woman’s name and birthday, likely indicating it was being sent in for testing.
“They just said they were really sorry.”
The man says he contacted Amazon about the mix-up where a representative told him, “we don’t want it.” Effectively, washing their hands of the situation, metaphorically. The good news for him, he will get his shower curtain and the rings he ordered.
“They said the shower curtain rings will be here Saturday,” he said.
So, he may feel a bit flushed by the mix-up, but it’s certainly not money down the toilet.
He plans to hang onto the specimen for a day to see if he’s contacted to send it back. After that, he says he plans to throw it out.

Florida woman accused of attacking Burger King manager for not giving free fries
MIAMI – Police have arrested one woman and are looking for a second after an alleged assault on a Miami Burger King manager over french fries in April.
Natasha Ethel Bagley, 42, faces charges of armed burglary with assault or battery, attempted robbery with a deadly weapon and criminal mischief, court records show.
Bagley and her girlfriend, 27-year-old Genesis Peguero, went to the fast food at restaurant April 2 and asked for free fries at the drive thru, according to an arrest report obtained by WTVJ. When an employee refused, the two women allegedly parked and walked into the restaurant.
Peguero hopped over the counter and, with her hands in her pockets, claimed she had a pistol and demanded the manager give them all of the money in the register, according to police.
When the unidentified female manager tried to call police, Peguero punched the woman in the face, according to the report. Police say Bagley joined in, helping Peguero assault the manager.
The pair allegedly tore registers and monitors off the Burger King counter before driving away from the restaurant in an SUV.
Peguero is still on the run, but Bagley was booked Tuesday after the victims managed to identify her, according to police.

New Gillette ad shows father teaching transgender son how to shave
(CNN) — A man’s first shave is a milestone no matter who you are. But for transgender man Samson Bonkeabantu Brown, it was memorable for several reasons.
Brown shared the experience with a man identified as his father in an advertisement for Gillette, the maker of razors and shaving supplies.
The video, which Gillette shared on its Facebook page, shows the Toronto-based artist standing in front of a bathroom mirror as his father coaches him.
“Now, don’t be scared,” his father says. “Shaving is about being confident.”
“Growing up, I was always trying to figure out what kind of man I wanted to become and I’m still trying to figure out what kind of man that I want to become,” Brown said in the video,
“I always knew I was different. I didn’t know that there was a term for the type of person that I was.”
CNN reached to Brown to find out if this was indeed his first shave, as the video implies. The video carries the caption, “‘Whenever, wherever, however it happens — your first shave is special.”
CNN also reached out to Gillette to confirm if this is the brand’s first ad to feature a transgender man.
Neither Brown nor Gillette responded immediately.
Regardless of the details, many celebrated the ad as a meaningful gesture of inclusiveness to kick off pride celebrations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer community in June.
“Oh wow, Gillette, we are having all the feels here,” LGBTQ family advocacy group PFLAG National said on Twitter.
“As the first and largest organization for parents of #LGBTQ people we thank you for seeing our #trans kids…and for honoring their affirming #dads!”
In a Facebook post, Brown thanked Gillette for the opportunity to share the important milestone with his father.
“I shot this ad for Gillette and wanted to include my father, who has been one of my greatest supporters throughout my transition, encouraging me to be confident and live authentically as my best self,” Brown said.
As the news cycle brings a steady stream of negative headlines about violence and discriminationagainst the transgender community, the ad casts a rare positive light on a transgender man experiencing family support.
“I’m keenly aware of how blessed I am to be able to exist in this world being supported by my family in ways that all too often many of my trans brothers, sisters, and siblings who exist outside the binary are not always as fortunate,” Brown said in his Facebook post.
Brown says in the video that he’s glad to be at a point where he’s able to shave, a nod to the fact that for many transgender men, financial and medical barriers can impede access to medically necessary hormone treatment to align their appearance with their gender.
In his Facebook post, Brown said he believes the ad will give other transgender people hope.
“I am confident that this ad will encourage many of my trans siblings and fill them with the knowledge that our existence in this world can be filled with the love and support we deserve.”

Boy was restrained in bathtub with shackles, dog shock collar before death
MONROE COUNTY, Ind. – A 12-year-old boy was restrained in a motel bathtub with shackles and a dog collar before he died, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office reports. Now the boy’s father and stepmother face charges in connection with his death.
Eduardo Posso was taken to Bloomington Hospital for treatment last week; he later died. Hospital officials saud he showed multiple signs of abuse and starvation.
Monroe County detectives arrested his father, 32-year-old Luis Posso, and his stepmother, 25-year-old Dayan Median Flores, in connection with his death. They face neglect charges and are being held in the Monroe County Correctional Center.
Their three other children, a 9-year-old girl, a 5-year-old boy, and a 2-year-old boy, were placed in the care of Child Protection Services. Officials said they appear to be healthy.
Monroe County detectives said the family was staying in a motel in the area temporarily for their employment. Their job was to distribute advertising for a circus which tours around the United States.
When detectives searched their motel room, they found a box containing restraints and a K-9 shock collar.
Police examined the couples’ phones and found video of Eduardo restrained in a bathtub. The video shows other children and Flores coming and going in the bathroom and paying no attention to the boy.
Posso even took a selfie in the bathroom with his son restrained in the background.
The investigation will likely include multiple jurisdictions over a long period of time, police said.
