Woman dies after fight over parking spot for grilling
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The search for a place to barbecue turned deadly for one woman, who police say collapsed after a fight over a parking spot in Philadelphia.
Authorities say 57-year-old Lourdes Estremera had set up a grill in the parking spot on Friday night. Another woman drove up and wanted to park in the spot, and the two started arguing.
The dispute turned physical and police were called. Officers soon broke up the fight, but Estremera collapsed a short time later while talking with officers at the scene. She was pronounced dead there a short time later.
The name of the other woman involved in the dispute with Estremera has not been released.
Authorities say no charges have been filed, but the matter remains under investigation.
Avengers: Endgame Movie Review (No Spoilers)
After 11 years and 22 movies the Infinity Saga comes to and end with the release of Avengers: Endgame. This hands down in my opinion will go down ad one of the best comic book movies ever made.
Since I won’t be revealing any spoilers in this review, I will say that this movie gives a very satisfying conclusion and a good sense of closure for the first 3 phases of Marvel. This movie does a good balance with action comedy and very emotional moments.
This movie is now on the list of few movies that has ever brought me to tears. Yes I said it I cried near the end of this movie. I won’t say why but once you watch the movie you’ll know why. There are a few things that I wish they added in the movie that didn’t make it in but over all it’s still satisfy with or without it.
With this being a somewhat fine it makes me more excited to see what will happen in the future of the MCU and to see who will be the new roster of heroes we’ll get to see.
Overall I give Avengers: Endgame an absolute 10/10. Try to see it as soon as you can to avoid spoilers. If you have seen it before, go back and see it again and again!
‘Surviving R. Kelly’ follow up coming to Lifetime with Soledad O’Brien
Article via USAToday
“Surviving R. Kelly” is getting a highly-anticipated follow-up.
“Surviving R Kelly: The Impact,” a two-hour follow-up special to the explosive “Surviving R. Kelly” series that debuted in January, premieres on the network on May 4th at 10 p.m. E.T.
The special, hosted by Soledad O’Brien, will recap the reactions to the initial explosive documentary, which premiered shortly before Kelly was charged with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse in February.
The special intends to “elevate the conversation on sexual violence and what it means to be a survivor,” per a press release.
Most recently, lawyers of Kelly’s were in court in April to argue over pretrial motions, including Kelly’s demand that prosecutors turn over copies of communications from Michael Avenatti, the attorney who claims to have found an old video showing Kelly having sex with one of his then-teen accusers.

An NFL rookie was shot just hours after he was drafted by the New York Giants
Corey Ballentine went from the highest of highs to the lowest of lows over the weekend.
Despite playing football at a low-profile Division II school, Ballentine was drafted by the NFL’s New York Giants on Saturday night, the culmination of years of hard work on and off the field.
“I’ve been waiting on this opportunity for a lifetime really,” he told Giants coach Pat Shurmur after hearing the news.
But in a tragic turn just hours later, Ballentine was injured in an off-campus shooting in Topeka, Kansas, that killed one of his Washburn University teammates.
Dwane Simmons, a 23-year-old defensive back, was killed in the shooting, said Washburn President Jerry Farley.
Farley said Ballentine, who was drafted in the sixth round by the Giants, is expected to make a full recovery.
“Both Dwane and Corey have been great examples and representatives of the football team and of Washburn University in general,” Farley said in a statement. “This was a terrible way to end a day which should have been a day of celebration and a day to look forward to Dwane’s upcoming year at Washburn and the beginning of Corey’s professional career.”
The Giants said they are aware of the situation and are gathering information.
“We have spoken to Corey, and he is recovering in the hospital. Our thoughts are with Dwane Simmons’ family, friends and teammates and the rest of the Washburn community,” the team said.
Ballentine, a six-time member of his conference’s Academic Honor Roll, was the 180th person taken in the 2019 NFL draft.
“It’s all a crazy dream until you do it,” he tweeted. “I can’t even explain the emotions I have right now. (Shoutout) the people that told me to pick a more realistic career. This is as real as it gets. Thank you to the Giants organization for believing in me. It’s only up from here. #GiantsPride.”
In a video posted to the Giants website, Ballentine told Shurmur how happy he was to join the NFL team.
“I’m glad to be a part of this franchise. I’ve been waiting on this opportunity for a lifetime really,” he said. “I’m glad to be even a part of the conversation. I’m definitely ready to start learning and being around the guys and being around you guys.”
“Well, you’re not in the conversation,” coach Shurmur said with a smile. “You’re in the locker room now.”

Father accused of forcing 4-year-old son to drink hot sauce for cursing
LEANDER, Texas – A Texas father is accused of assaulting his 4-year-old son on Easter Sunday and force-feeding the boy hot sauce.
Jail records show Demitro Revillas was booked Monday on a felony count of intentional bodily injury of a child.
Police said a cousin told investigators that Revillas became furious after hearing that his son had cursed, and slapped him with an open hand hard enough to knock him to the ground, according to an arrest warrant obtained by KXAN.
When the child refused to admit he had cussed, Revillas became enraged and allegedly took his son into the kitchen and forced him to drink hot sauce for several minutes as his son cried out for him to stop.
The cousin told officers she could hear him choking on the spicy condiment.
The boy later told police that Revillas also hit him in the face with a belt, according to the warrant. An officer reported seeing bruising on the boy’s face.
Revillas is being held at the Williamson Count Jail on a $40,000 bond.
