Janet Jackson Recruits Q-Tip for Live ‘Got ‘Til It’s Gone’
Cardi B, the Weeknd, Shawn Mendes also performed at 2018 Global Citizen Festival
Janet Jackson recruited Q-Tip for a soulful live version of their collaborative 1997 track “Got ‘Til It’s Gone” on Saturday during the 2018 Global Citizen Festival at Central Park in New York, New York.
Jackson opened the performance crooning between choreographed moves on a stage crammed full of dancers and musicians. Q-Tip emerged from the shadows to deliver his brief verse, rapping, “You act all wild, when I tell you to settle/ I was working round the clock, but your girls want to meddle.” The duo ended their take on the Joni Mitchell-sampling single locked in a long embrace.
Cardi B, the Weeknd, Shawn Mendes and Janelle Monáe also highlighted the festival’s seventh installment. The Global Citizen Festival continues to urge world leaders to follow the United Nation’s Global Goals for Sustainable Development and end extreme poverty by 2030.
In August, Jackson debuted “Made for Now,” her collaboration with Daddy Yankee, on Saturday Night Live, marking her first late-night appearance in 14 years.

Feuds Asia Argento Debuts New Vengeance Tattoo of Bloody Dagger, Tells Rose McGowan ‘Bye Bye’
A permanent reminder. Asia Argento sent a clear message to her former friend Rose McGowan while getting a symbolic tattoo of vengeance.
The Italian-born actress, 43, showed off her new ink in a series of photos posted to her Instagram Stories on Saturday, September 29.
“Bye bye @rosemcgowan Opens a New Window. ,” she wrote on a picture of her foot being inked with a dagger by tattoo artist Marco Manzo.
She showed off the finished product in a subsequent Story with a snap of the dagger above a sole drop of blood on the side of her foot, on which she wrote “Significato: vendetta consumata” — an Italian phrase meaning “consumed revenge.”
The Executrix actress further hinted at her plans for retaliation against the Charmed alum with a Bible passage from Romans 12:19: “Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written. Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.”
Argento has been feuding with McGowan, 45, since the Jawbreaker star released a statement Opens a New Window. about the sexual assault allegations made against Argento by former child actor Jimmy Bennett.
“It is a shame that @rosemcgowan Opens a New Window. is not prepared to accept when she is wrong,” Argento tweeted on September 7.
Her message came nearly two weeks after the Brave author released a statement accusing Argento of sending her partner, model Rain Dove, texts in which the Marie Antoinette star revealed that she had slept with Bennett, now 22, and had been receiving inappropriate pictures from the musician since he was 12 years old. “Rain also shared that Asia had stated that she’d been receiving unsolicited nudes of Jimmy since he had been 12. Asia mentioned in these texts that she didn’t take any action on those images,” McGowan said at the time. “No reporting to authorities, to the parents, or blocking of Jimmy’s social media. Not even a simple message ‘Don’t send me these images. They are inappropriate.’”

Netflix Will Let Viewers Determine Endings Of Some Shows: Report
In an effort to find yet another way to make its service sticky, Netflix is planning to roll out interactive features on shows including Black Mirror that will enable viewers to choose their own endings, according to a report by Bloomberg.
Citing unnamed sources, the report said projects will be released before the end of the year that follow the model of some kids shows already on Netflix, such as Puss in Book. The technology follows the pattern of videogames, and Netflix has videogame-based shows in the works, including a take on Minecraft due by the end of 2018.
HBO has already dipped a toe into interactive waters this year with Mosaic. The six-part Steven Soderbergh-directed mystery thriller aired on the linear network but was accompanied by an app featuring a range of different story threads that viewers could customize. Critics generally praised Soderbergh’s narrative architecture and the experience of the show.
Black Mirror is a prominent, Emmy-winning series for Netflix, whose themes lend themselves to high-tech experimentation. The fifth season of the Charlie Brooker-created show is expected to premiere in December.
In addition to Black Mirror, Netflix has closed a deal for one other live-action series and is in the final stages of other deals, according to Bloomberg.
While plenty of reality series have incorporated interactive elements for years now, the scripted realm faces hurdles to wider deployment of choose-your-own-ending storytelling. In addition to the technology requirements, it requires more extensive scripts and produced scenes. That can present budget and labor challenges for producers.

CBS’ God Friended Me Recap
CBS’ God Friended Me is the latest entry into the “mysterious higher power helps regular person do good” TV genre. (R.I.P., Kevin, Joan and Eli Stone.) Will you hit “accept” on this Almighty show?
The Mayor‘s Brandon Micheal Hall stars an atheist podcast host who lost his faith as a child when his mother went into remission only to then be killed in a car accident on the way home from the hospital. Naturally, his father (Scandal‘s Joe Morton) is a reverend, so the two don’t get along so well.
Miles’ life takes a turn when he receives a Facebook friend request from God, which is then followed by a friend suggestion: John Dove. And who just happens to walk by but the John Dove! Miles follows the upset man to the subway, where he stops John from jumping on the tracks and killing himself.
The next friend suggestion leads him to Cara Bloom (The Flash‘s Violett Beane), an online journalist with writers’ block who agrees to help him find out who’s behind the God account — if she gets the story. In the midst of their investigation, God hacks Miles’ computer, pulling up a photo of Miles’ mother during her last chemo session, which sends Cara abruptly fleeing the apartment. After a little digging, Miles discovers that the nurse in the image is Cara’s estranged mother. He convinces his new friend to talk to her mom, but the confrontation goes horribly wrong when Cara learns that her mother has a daughter and runs away… into the path of an oncoming car. Luckily, John Dove — who’s a doctor! — happens to be in a nearby taxi and saves Cara’s life.
Cara accepts her mom’s apology in the hospital, while Miles — moved by the grand design of it all? — extends an olive branch to his father. As for the God account, Cara offers to keep helping Miles get down to the bottom of it, and in the process, do some actual good. She then leaves for her newly discovered half-sister’s soccer game just as Miles receives another friend suggestion.
The cast also includes Suraj Sharma (Homeland) as Miles’ skilled hacker pal Rakesh and Javicia Leslie (MacGyver) as Miles’ psych student sister Ali.

Lil Wayne’s Kids Barge Into His Room To Start “Uproar” Challenge
The “Uproar” challenge has made it into Lil Wayne’s home.
With people everywhere showing love to the Wayne and Swizz Beatz anthem, members of the artist’s family are even interrupting him out of nowhere to start the dance. While it’s not necessarily as choreographed as Drake‘s “In My Feelings” dance, fans are encouraged to just go with what they’re hearing, which should be simple enough. As Tunechi was thanking fans and collaborators for their work on Tha Carter V, the kids ran into his room and blasted “Uproar,” leading Weezy to take direction and run them through the movements. Initially, Wayne looks confused as one child barges in rocking one of his furs while another jumps from out of the closet, but he soon leads them into the challenge.
Tune is definitely embracing the more modern ways of pushing a track, grasping onto the traction “Uproar” has already generated. What’s your favorite song from the album?

Khloe Kardashian Blasted By Black Twitter For Claiming She “Don’t See Color”
Fans and haters alike rallied for the dragging.
The debacle started with a message against those racist remarks.
“I dislike the fact that people are allowed to comment on my daughter’s skin color but as soon as I comment kindly back and praise her for all that she is, the comment gets erased. If you have the courage to post your nasty criticism please allow one to defend or comment back”
She then slipped into dangerous territory when responding to one of her fan’s supportive message. In an attempt to speak of unity, Khloe claimed that her family simply doesn’t see color.
“I try to put myself in their shoes &maybe they were brought up in a different type of household then I was. So instead of shaming I try to educate. In our household we do not see color. We see emotion and action. We see love. We feed off of energy”
In response, people clapped back at the social media star while pointing out that her mindset is dismissive rather than inclusive.

Uhhhh, Samantha Markle Just Issued a Dramatic Public Apology to Meghan Markle on TV
Samantha Markle is in England attempting to see her estranged half-sister Duchess Meghan Markle (hah, good luck with that), and naturally she’s biding her time by appearing on TV. Because why not!
In a segment on Jeremy Vine’s talk show, Samantha expressed regret over how she’s acted (reminder: she recently called Meghan the “DuchASS”), and decided to issue a public apology directly to her sister. Who probably wasn’t watching, but hey—you never know!
“I would just say that there is so much water under the bridge and so much has spun out of control that was never intended to,” Samantha said. “And you know, I think everybody was hurt not being included or invited to the wedding, but I felt as though it could have all been nipped in the bud had everyone been included, and we all just agreed to move forward with positive resolve. The hurt feelings wouldn’t have snowballed, but believe it or not, it doesn’t mean that we love you any less, I just think that families can be this way when there’s confusion and people are hurt. So moving forward, I apologize and wish things could be different.”
Hmmm…this seems pretty sincere! But then again, is calling someone “The DuchASS” really forgivable? IDEK.
