Jane Fonda: Sexual Predators Shouldn’t Try To Come Back Unless They’ve ‘Done The Work’
“F**k it! Sweep the floor at Starbucks until you learn! If you can’t learn, you don’t belong in the boardroom”
~Jane Fonda
Jane Fonda has some advice for powerful men who have admitted to, or been accused of, sexual abuse: Don’t bother trying to return to the spotlight unless you can demonstrate you’ve actually learned from your mistakes.
“Oh, poor top-paid executives who can’t get his job back,” the actress and activist said Thursday at an event promoting her upcoming HBO documentary, “Jane Fonda in Five Acts,” as Vanity Fair reported. “Fuck it! Sweep the floor at Starbucks until you learn! If you can’t learn, you don’t belong in the boardroom. And there are plenty of women who do belong in the boardroom.”
Former TV hosts Charlie Rose and Matt Lauer, who have denied allegations that they harassed women at their workplaces, have reportedly mulled returning to television. Actor and comic Louis C.K., who admitted to masturbating in front of female comedians, recently performed at the Comedy Cellar, a storied New York club.
Fonda specifically cited Rose ― who has been accused of sexually harassing scores of women, including staffers at his shows ― as someone who hasn’t “done the work.”
“It doesn’t matter how much time. It depends on what the guy is doing,” Fonda said, when asked how long men who have been accused of sexual misconduct should take to attempt a comeback, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “Men are trained not to be empathic, not to be emotional. So it’s not easy what they’re trying to do, but they have to try to do it. So it doesn’t matter if it takes two weeks or a year, two years. It depends on what kind of changes they’ve gone through.”

Shirtless dad, son arrested for gunning down neighbor in trash fight
A west Texas man was gunned down by his two shirtless neighbors – in a shocking confrontation recorded by the victim’s girlfriend, according to a broadcast report on Wednesday.
Aaron Howard, 37, was killed on Sept. 1 in Abilene, allegedly by father-and-son neighbors Johnnie and Michael Miller, authorities said.
They’ve both been arrested and charged with murder.
The deadly confrontation was caught on the cellphone of Howard’s fiancée, Kara Box, who shared the video with KTXS.
“People deserve to know what actually happened,” Box told the ABC affiliate.
The three men were arguing over a dumped mattress in an alley behind Howard’s house on Don Juan Street in Abilene, according to the video.
The dad, Johnnie Miller, 67, was holding a pistol while Michael Miller, 31, had a shotgun, KTXS reported.
“If you come closer to me, I’m gonna kill you,” the elder Miller reportedly could be heard yelling at Howard.
And amazingly, Howard didn’t back down.
“Hey, did you hear him say he’s going to kill me?” the victim told his filming fiancée.
Howard then barked at his two armed neighbors to leave the scene, according to the report.
“Put the gun up and go inside!” Howard yelled.
Box tried to intervene and told the father and son: “You’re not going to shoot my husband.”
The men kept arguing, and at least two pistol shots were fired by the dad, Box told the station.
Her video captured the sound of the pistol fire but not any images of Johnnie Miller shooting.
Box did capture Michael Miller opening fire with his shotgun.
Taylor County DA Jim Hicks said the video could be key evidence.
“Video evidence like this is always graphic and very difficult to watch,” Hicks said in an interview on the station. “But, it is consistent with the charges.”
The father and son have been charged with first-degree murder. Both are out on $25,000 bail, KTXS reported.

Man doing yard work while naked angers neighbors
STUART, Fla. — A community in Florida is growing frustrated with one neighbor who does his yard work completely naked.
“I came out Sunday night to put the trash out, and I look over and he is bent over, winding up his hose, and I’m like, ‘That is my view of the neighborhood,” said neighbor Melissa Ny. “He works on his car, and he does it naked, and everyone has called the police. He is just out there doing his yard work, whatever he needs to do outside — naked.”
According to WPBF, several people in the neighborhood have called the county sheriff’s office, but deputies said as long as the man is not touching himself inappropriately, there is nothing they can do about it.
“Have some respect for the neighborhood kids. Kids catch the bus here, it’s wrong,” said Charlie Estes, another neighbor. “I have seen these people actually stand on their front step, buck naked, both of them, and talk to a police officer, sheriff’s department. The sheriff’s department told me to turn my head.”
The man in question told a WPBF reporter he is not interested in doing an interview because he and his family are private people.
“If they are private, why are your privates on display. That is not private at all. That is very public,” Ny said.
Neighbors say the next step is talking to him to see if they can work out some kind of compromise.

At Least 5 People, Including 3 Infants, Stabbed at Overnight Day Care Center
(NEW YORK) — Police in New York say at least five people, including three infants, were stabbed at an overnight day care center in Queens.
NBC New York reports that authorities say the stabbings happened just before 4 a.m. Friday. One of the infants, a girl, is in serious condition, but none of the injuries is considered life-threatening.
A sixth person was found in the basement of the day care center in the Flushing neighborhood. Police say she had slashed her left wrist and is in custody at a hospital.
Police say a man who was injured was stabbed in the leg and is the father of a child who was at the day care center. It isn’t clear whether his child was among those stabbed. Another adult who was hurt is a woman who works at the center.
A motive for the stabbings hasn’t been determined.
Someone called police on an African-American politician while she campaigned in her district
Sheila Stubbs says she’s knocked on thousands of doors in Madison, Wisconsin, in her 12 years as a county supervisor and has never had a problem in the community.
But last month, someone called the police while she was campaigning for a seat in the Wisconsin State Assembly — because they thought she was a drug dealer.
Stubbs is the only African-American on the 37-member Dane County Board of Supervisors. What happened to her is just the latest in a string of highly publicized incidents in the US in which police were called on black people for innocuous activities such as napping, barbecuing or meeting over coffee.
The incident happened August 7, although Stubbs is just talking about it publicily now. It occurred when she was visiting voters in a predominately white neighborhood on the west side of the city. She was wearing a name tag, carrying campaign literature with her picture on it and had a “walk list” with the names and addresses of potential supporters.
Her mother was following behind in their car, along with Stubbs’ 8-year-old daughter.
“I had knocked at approximately six doors and some of the future constituents were home, and those that were home, I talked to for about 10 minutes … because they were excited that I stopped by,” she said.
Then the police showed up
Stubbs had been on the street for about 20 minutes and was talking to a resident when a police officer arrived.
“I happened to look over and I see this police officer had pulled up behind my car,” Stubbs said.
She ended her conversation and excused herself, so she could see what was going on. Stubbs introduced herself to the officer, who told her police had gotten a call from someone who thought Stubbs was a drug dealer.
“And I’m like, ‘a drug dealer! Are you serious, they think I’m a drug dealer? No!” she said.
Stubbs says she showed the officer her name tag and campaign fliers, but she didn’t seem satisfied until Stubbs showed her the walk list with the addresses of the houses she had visited.
“When I showed it to her. She was like, ‘Oh my gosh, I’m really sorry. I’m really sorry this happened to you,’” Stubbs said.
A Madison Police spokesman said the department has a good relationship with Stubbs and referred CNN to the police report of the incident, which aligns with Stubbs’ account.
The report says the officer got a complaint about a suspicious vehicle in front of a “drug house” in the neighborhood.
It says that once she found out what was happening, the officer thanked Stubbs’ mother “and apologized for having had to interrupt her evening because of this call to service.”
Stubbs says several people came to check on her during the encounter, including one who asked for a campaign yard sign when she found out what a neighbor had done.
The officer encouraged her to keep campaigning, but Stubbs just wanted to leave.
“It was just the humiliation. I felt so degraded, but I had to keep a certain persona,” she said. “And I just wanted to go.”
Lingering concerns
Stubbs says she has concerns about how the officer initially treated her and her mother.
“It took the both of us persuading her before she realized it,” she said. “I felt like I had to give my bio to persuade her who I really was.”
Stubbs says she plans to meet with the Madison police chief about the episode.
“I was angry and outraged and embarrassed that it happened to me — in Madison, Wisconsin, it happened to me? And my daughter had to see me go through this,” she said.
She took a day off from campaigning to work through her feelings and comfort her daughter, who didn’t understand why the officer didn’t believe them.
Stubbs said she told her daughter that incidents like this are why she was running.
“I’m going to make it better for you, so you don’t go through what momma goes through — it has to get better for you,” she said. “She held me and she gave me a good hug, I gave her a good hug, and she said, ‘I love you mommy’ and ‘Thank you so much mommy.’”
Stubbs ended up winning the hotly contested Democratic primary with almost 50 percent of the vote in the four-way race.
She does not have a Republican opponent in the November election, so she’s poised to be the first African American to represent her district in the state legislature when she takes office in January.
Ralph Breaks the Internet’s New Trailer Promises to ‘Never Give You Up’
Article via: Ralph Breaks the Internet’s New Trailer Promises to ‘Never Give You Up’
It’s time for cat memes, princess selfies, and the darkest corners of the webiverse in the latest look at Disney’s sequel Ralph Breaks the Internet.
The new trailer for Ralph Breaks the Internet shows us more of the plot behind this web-friendly sequel to 2015’s Wreck-It Ralph. Take a look…
The steering wheel on Vanellope’s (Sarah Silverman) driving game broke in half—must’ve been a really strong preteen driving the game that night. Fearing that Sugar Rush could get shut down for good, Ralph (John C. Reilly) suggests they go to the internet to get a new steering wheel.
Only problem: They need money. So they check out a free-to-play mobile game called Slaughter Race, which features fellow driver Shank (Gal Gadot). Vanellope is drawn into the digital world, which only shines a light on how different she is from older video game characters. And Shank can relate to this, becoming a sort-of big sister to Vanellope…much to Ralph’s dismay.
Oh, and if you thought that exploding bunny was bad, just wait until you see what happens to the junkyard dog.
The film also stars Taraji P. Henson as the trend algorithm behind BuzzzTube (get it, because internet things), and sees the return of Jack McBrayer as Fix-It Felix Jr., who’s married to Sergeant Tamora Jean Calhoun (Jane Lynch).
Ralph Breaks the Internet heads to theaters on November 21.
Tiny ‘Humiliated’ To Learn T.I.’s Still Following Bernice Burgos On Instagram: How She’s Retaliating
Article via: Tiny ‘Humiliated’ To Learn T.I.’s Still Following Bernice Burgos On Instagram, How She’s Retaliating
Here we go, again. Tameka ‘Tiny’ Harris, 43, and husband T.I., 37, are once again on the rocks, after the rapper flat out refused to unfollow Bernice Burgos, 38, on Instagram.“Tiny is not happy that T.I. refuses to unfollow model Bernice Burgos, it’s a real sore spot for her. Tiny no longer follows TIP on Instagram, and the fact that he won’t unfollow Bernice is a big part of why she won’t follow him. It’s her way of retaliating,” a friend of Tiny’s told HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY. “That’s about the only real stand she could take because T.I. does not react well when she gives him ultimatums,” the friend added.
One can hardly blame Tiny for being so angry – Bernice is the same woman that T.I. was previously accused of cheating with! “She’s been trying her best not to let something as petty as social media break-up her marriage, but hearing about T.I.’s drama with Meek Mill over Bernice, it has brought all her anger and frustration to the surface,” the friend continued. “It’s extra humiliating because all her friends are questioning why her husband is still following this side-chick, and Tiny has no good answer. It really hurts that T.I. won’t show her the simple respect of totally cutting Bernice out and it makes her question if there could still be something going on.” HollywoodLife reached out to reps of both Tiny and T.I. for comment.
The source also revealed why it’s so hard to get TIP to just hit that unfollow button. “T.I. refuses to be told what he can and can not do. He tells Tiny he’s a man, and he can follow anyone he wants on Instagram. There’s no doubt he loves Tiny with all his heart, but when she tries to tell him what to do, it really pushes his buttons. T.I. swears Bernice means nothing, but so far no matter what Tiny says he refuses to stop following her, no way. The way he sees it, he can look, as long as he does not touch.” Clearly, Tiny does not agree with that sentiment!
The bad blood between Tiny and her man comes just days after, Meek Mill, 31, posted a selfie to his Instagram with the caption, “don’t come to me about no ho!” Once fans figured out that Meek was talking about Bernice, all bets were off. Quick-witted fans of both artist came to the conclusion that Meek was beefing with T.I. over the model, proving that TIP still has feelings for his old flame. This is one love triangle that isn’t going to last though, if Tiny has her way.
