Manchester mass shooting being investigated as ‘attempted murder’
Police in Manchester, England, are still searching for a suspect in a mass shooting they are investigating as “attempted murder.”
The incident unfolded in the Moss Side, an inner-city area, around 2:25 a.m. Sunday. An estimated 10 people, ranging in age from 12 to their 50s, were wounded – mostly with pellet-wounds to their legs, indicative of a shotgun discharged at close range, according to police.
Four people remained hospitalized while eight others have since been discharged.
The wounded were part of a crowd celebrating after the end of a two-day Manchester carnival in Alexandra Park commemorating the 70th anniversary of the arrival of the “Windrush generation” – a group from the Caribbean who came to England to fill a labor shortage on a passenger liner called the Empire Windrush.
Footage posted online in the immediate aftermath of the attack showed alarm and confusion as the crowd rapidly dispersed.
Officials have not yet identified a motive for the attack and the investigation was ongoing.
“However, we’ve got to be clear, it would be obvious to any particular person that discharging a firearm in a large crowd like this is completely reckless,” the chief superintendent of the Greater Manchester Police, Wasim Chaudhry, said at a news conference Sunday afternoon.
Greater Manchester’s deputy mayor for crime praised the police for their “swift action” as well as the “local people who have responded quickly to say this doesn’t reflect the Moss Side of 2018.”

Infinity War Crew Reveals Stone Responsible for Killing Half the Universe
It is a question that has bothered fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe since the shocking climax of Avengers: Infinity War, but it’s now been confirmed that the Power Stone was the one that wiped out half the galaxy.
The events of the Russo Brothers’ movie saw Josh Brolin’s Thanos head off in search of the six Infinity Stones with the end goal of bringing balance to the universe with a snap of his fingers.
f anyone had questioned which stone is the most powerful, Avengers: Infinity War artist VFX supervisor Dan DeLeeuw told Inverse, “The Power Stone was blipping them out of existence.”
Although it was hard to distinguish which of the Infinity Stones turned half the MCU (and even animals) to dust, DeLeeuw said his team put a lot of thought into how the iconic moment would happen. “All the Infinity Stones have their signature color and appearance as a visual effect,” he reminded audiences. “So the ‘blip out,’ we thought, ‘What would all the stones do to a person, blipping them out?’”
The stones may have been seen working in harmony to toss the Avengers out of the way as Thanos went for Vision, but it came down to just one being responsible for Thanos’ rebalancing. While some of DeLeeuw’s team championed the Reality Stone or the Soul Stone “because souls cease to exist, ” it was up to the Power Stone to deliver that killer blow.
DeLeeuw continued to explain how Infinity War settled on turning the characters to dust. “We had concept art combining all those things, and it was getting too busy. It became too complicated,” he confessed. “It was stepping on what the actors were doing. So it became ‘body turns to ash.’ We peeled away all those layers and focused on that one [Power Stone], deciding how quickly it would consume someone, what pattern it would consume them.”
Ironically, the Power Stone had the smallest role in the movie and had already been snatched from Xandar before the opening scene. That being said, the Power Stone’s ability to pull a moon out of orbit should’ve been a sign of the energy bubbling inside it.
At the end of the day, the likes of the Soul Stone and Time Stone couldn’t compete with the raw energy of the Power Stone. Fans may also remember the awesome power of the purple gem in Guardians of the Galaxy, so it makes sense that the Power Stone was the one that eradicated half of the universe.
A popular theory is that the Soul Stone could be the key to bringing back the fallen heroes, but if the Power Stone was behind Thanos’ snap, what does this mean for Avengers 4?

Sam Smith Said He Doesn’t Like Michael Jackson’s Music
Recently, the singer was enjoying some downtime with friends out on a boat. Among the crew was fellow singer Adam Lambert who was recording some of the day’s festivities and posting them to his Instagram account. While one of the clips shows Smith jamming out to some Beyoncé, another one reveals him showing his lack of support for another musical legend—the musical legend Michael Jackson.
In the video, Lambert pans over to Smith who says, “I don’t like Michael Jackson, but this is a good song.” In fairness, he does give MJ props, but it isn’t every day that you hear someone, especially an accomplished musician, say that they don’t like the King of Pop. As you would imagine, people gave Smith hell for his comment.
There is certainly no denying the impact and importance of Jackson’s legacy on music, but Smith likely isn’t the only person in the industry who isn’t too fond of his music either. Surprising take? Yes. But this certainly isn’t the first time a successful artist has expressed their dislike for an all-time great. In fact, it seems to happen in the hip-hop community weekly.

Killer Curves: Bodies To Die For – BET Trailer
Killer Curves Trailer: BET documentary on black market cosmetic surgery
In the last decade, with the rise of hip-hop videos and the video vixens that frequent them, the black market for butt injections has increased astronomically. Often times, women would be willing to meet strangers for under $3,000 in seedy motels in exchange for a more voluptuous backside. What many did not realize at the time was that they were being pumped with harmful garage concoctions of oil, fix-a-flat, cement and so on. Within two years the body would start to reject these harmful potions, and the foreign material would begin to corrode the buttocks.
Killer Curves is produced by Lala Anthony, and will feature K. Michelle.

At the moment there are no plans to re-air the documentary. However it will be housed on bet.com and the BET NOW app.

Article via: Azealia Banks Currently “At Elon Musk’s House Alone For Days Waiting For Grimes”
Azealia Banks is still working on her new album Fantasea II: The Second Wave, and last month, she revealed that there’s a song with Grimes on it. “Omg I’m listening to f2!!! All the songs are finished except lorelei and grimes song,” she tweeted. “I have a session next week with Alex Carapetis to lock lorelei down. Then I go to LA to finish grimes and oh yes!! Finish Paradiso two! But daaaaaaaamn there’s some heat!”
Grimes liked the tweet, but it appears that the sessions didn’t exactly go as planned — or at all. “Literally been sitting at Elon Musk’s house alone for days waiting for Grimes to show up and start these sessions,” Azealia Banks wrote on her Instagram story today. “I have no idea when she is coming back. I’m going to wait one more day then I’m going to go home.”
Apparently, it’s very easy to get into Elon Musk’s house.

Kanye West says he ‘wasn’t stumped’ by Kimmel’s Trump question
We all fell in love with cool Kanye, ‘Heartless’ Kanye, the “Bush doesn’t care about Black people” Kanye. But we have to be honest with ourselves: that is the Kanye of yesteryear, he is long gone. Today we have “It’s good Tyga got in early [with Kylie]”, Kanye West Kardashian, poopity poop head@$$ Kanye.
Just yesterday we watched Jimmy Kimmel stump Kanye:
“You so famously and so powerfully said, ‘George Bush doesn’t care about black people,’” Kimmel said, referring to comments West made at a 2005 benefit for Hurricane Katrina relief. “It makes me wonder what makes you think that Donald Trump does or any people at all?”
After four seconds of silence, Kimmel offered a lifeline, throwing to a commercial break and promising to let West answer later.
The question didn’t come up again.
Now, Kanye claims that he was not, in fact, ‘stumped’ by Kimmel.
“On Jimmy Kimmel we had a great time having a dialogue,” West tweeted Saturday. “I’m reading that I was stumped by a question. Let me clarify the click bait. I wasn’t stumped. I wasn’t given a chance to answer the question.”
He continued, “The question was so important I took time to think. And then I was hit with the let’s go to commercial break. That interview showed strong personalities with different opinions having a civil conversation.”
West also said that he was “so happy” to see Kimmel wearing a pair of Yeezys for the interview, which he interpreted as “an olive branch.”
Kimmel replied to West’s tweets Saturday evening.
“Not every question warrants an immediate answer,” he wrote. “Some answers need to be considered and a talk show with time constraints is a difficult place to do that. I know how much Kanye cares and I am so impressed by what he is doing quietly and without fanfare to help those who need it.”
