Article via: Karen King’s Son “Sas” Wanted By Atlanta Police
According to local Atlanta news, the rapper Sas who appeared on “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta” with his mother Karen King is a WANTED man right now.
Police are looking question Lyndon Akhil Smith aka Sas, because they believe he’s a witness to a murder investigation where two people killed each other in a shoot out! According to reports, the deadly shooting happened Monday night on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Officers responded to a reported shooting and found a victim who had been shot in the head in a parking lot. That man was taken to Grady Hospital, where he later died.
Soon after that, other officers investigated a crash at a nearby ramp onto I-285. The driver of the vehicle involved in the wreck had also been shot. The driver died from his injuries. Police believe both of these deaths are connected to the parking lot where the first man was found.
Right now, there is a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest of a suspect in the shooting.
No word yet on if Sas plans to turn himself in. Yikes. Thoughts?
Exclusive: U.S. accuses China of ‘super aggressive’ spy campaign on LinkedIn
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The United States’ top spy catcher said Chinese espionage agencies are using fake LinkedIn accounts to try to recruit Americans with access to government and commercial secrets, and the company should shut them down.
William Evanina, the U.S. counter-intelligence chief, told Reuters in an interview that intelligence and law enforcement officials have told LinkedIn, owned by Microsoft Corp., about China’s “super aggressive” efforts on the site.
He said the Chinese campaign includes contacting thousands of LinkedIn members at a time, but he declined to say how many fake accounts U.S. intelligence had discovered, how many Americans may have been contacted and how much success China has had in the recruitment drive.
German and British authorities have previously warned their citizens that Beijing is using LinkedIn to try to recruit them as spies. But this is the first time a U.S. official has publicly discussed the challenge in the United States and indicated it is a bigger problem than previously known.
Evanina said LinkedIn should look at copying the response of Twitter, Google and Facebook, which have all purged fake accounts allegedly linked to Iranian and Russian intelligence agencies.
“I recently saw that Twitter is cancelling, I don’t know, millions of fake accounts, and our request would be maybe LinkedIn could go ahead and be part of that,” said Evanina, who heads the U.S. National Counter-Intelligence and Security Center.
It is highly unusual for a senior U.S. intelligence official to single out an American-owned company by name and publicly recommend it take action. LinkedIn says it has 575 million users in more than 200 counties and territories, including more than 150 million U.S. members.
Evanina did not, however, say whether he was frustrated by LinkedIn’s response or whether he believes it has done enough.

‘ER’ Actress Vanessa Marquez Shot and Killed by South Pasadena PD Officer
Marquez played Nurse Wendy Goldman on “ER” Marquez made headlines last year after accusing the show’s star George Clooney of having her blacklisted after she reported suffering sexual and racial harassment on the set of the NBC medical drama.
“I had no idea Vanessa was blacklisted,” Clooney said in a statement to TheWrap back in October. “I take her at her word. I was not a writer or a producer or a director on that show. I had nothing to do with casting. I was an actor and only an actor.”
Clooney, who starred as Doug Ross on the series for five seasons, denied having any influence on casting the show or on Marquez’s career. “If she was told I was involved in any decision about her career then she was lied to,” he said. “The fact that I couldn’t affect her career is only surpassed by the fact that I wouldn’t.”

Marquez, who played Nurse Wendy Goldman in 27 episodes of “ER,” accused Eriq La Salle and a camera operator of being “p— grabbers,” which she said she reported to showrunner John Wells and to the show’s production company, Warner Bros.

‘The Four’ Season 2: Sharaya J, All Performances
I enjoyed watching The Four, a tv show where contestants sing to compete for a chance to be one of the four finalists that will receive P. Diddy, Meghan Trainor, and DJ Khalid’s help to become a best-selling artist.
These shows favor singing artists, but a few rappers made it, Sharay J being my favorite. She performed on the show with cancer and slayed every single performance. Watch all of her performances below, especially the first song, a Plain Jane cover:
Boy, 14, accidentally shoots and kills himself while on FaceTime
Union Township, OH — A 14-year-old is dead after police said his friends saw him accidentally shoot himself.
Union Township police said the incident happened around 11 a.m. Wednesday at the teen’s home in the 4200 block of Beechmont Drive.
Police said the teenager was holding a gun while on a FaceTime call with friends when the gun accidentally went off and hit the teen in the face.
The friends then called 911, and the teen was taken to a hospital.
“I hung up immediately. I was going to go check on him, but then I realized I should probably call the cops before I went to his house,” said the 911 caller.
The teen was home alone and the friend who called 911 said the shooting happened in his bedroom.
Police said it appears the teen didn’t know the gun was loaded.
“He didn’t know that there was a live round in it,” said the 911 caller.
Police have not confirmed how the teen got the gun or who it belonged to.
The teenager was a freshman at West Clermont High School, police said. It is unclear why he wasn’t at school.
The school said grief counselors will be available for students and staff.

Mom Dies in Car Crash After Boyfriend Allegedly Cut Brake Lines to Make Crack Pipe
A Pennsylvania mom of five is dead following a car crash that police say was caused after her boyfriend cut the vehicle’s brake lines for material to make a crack pipe, PEOPLE confirms.
Tammy Fox, 38, of Scranton, died from her injuries after her black Hyundai Sonata “began to accelerate” as she approached then raced through an intersection and “violently struck a tree” on Aug. 22, according to a news release Wednesday from Pennsylvania State Police.
The resulting investigation became a criminal case after a mechanical inspection of the car revealed its brake lines had been severed, police said.
Under questioning, John William Jenkins, 39, who was identified by police as Fox’s boyfriend, “admitted that on the evening prior to the crash he cut the victim’s brake lines while at their residence in an attempt to obtain a metal pipe that could be used to smoke crack cocaine,” according to law enforcement.
Authorities arrested Jenkins on a charge of criminal homicide. He currently is being held in the Luzerne County jail, on a hold for Lackawanna County, with no bond listed, jail records confirm.
It’s unknown whether he has entered a plea, and an attorney who might speak on his behalf was not immediately identified. He is scheduled to be in court for a preliminary hearing on Sept. 7, the Lehigh Valley News reports.
According to court documents obtained by the Associated Press, Jenkins claimed to police that Fox was “driving him crazy” because she was looking for a pipe to smoke crack in.
According to the documents, Jenkins said he didn’t want to go to the store so he started “hacking away” underneath Fox’s vehicle.
“Tammy had the ability to bring light to dark times and gave selflessly to those around her,” according to a GoFundMe page titled “Justice for Tammy” seeking financial assistance for her family. “She will be greatly missed, but will be with us in spirit, joining her mother in Heaven.”
The page’s author, Elle Massetti, added: “Although a confession was made, the fight has just begun.”
Kim Kardashian “Mom-Shamed” For Putting North West In A Two Piece Swim Suit
Kim Kardashian is taking some heat over her latest family photo — and it’s all because of her daughter’s swimsuit.
Fresh off a trip to Miami, the reality star posted an Instagram photo Wednesday that shows 5-year-old North West soaking up the South Beach lifestyle on a yacht. The little girl — the eldest of Kardashian’s three children with husband Kanye West — happens to be wearing a neon-yellow bikini top in the snapshot.
The fluorescent look may be a nod to North’s influence in prompting her father to release glow-in-the-dark 350s, but some of Kardashian’s followers found the swimsuit “inappropriate” for a 5-year-old.
Mommy shamers soon flooded the KKW Beauty mogul’s comments, chiding her for putting North in a bikini.
“That swimsuit is a bit inappropriate for a little girl in my opinion!” complained one commenter.
“Why is your child showing that much skin?” read another comment. “I get that [it’s] a swimsuit but c’mon.”
“Aren’t kids that age supposed to wear one-pieces,” someone else remarked. “Just in terms of not letting your child be too grown. Like not letting them wear lipstick at that age either. It’s cute when they’re a baby but get a kid a one-piece. … It’s not Kim’s fault. She just doesn’t know.”
Some even accused Kardashian of sexualizing her child and subjecting her to online ogling by sharing the photo on social media.
“She can wear what she wants but posting this could maybe give wrong signals,” read one negative comment.
But Kardashian’s fans were quick to defend her, telling critics to stop judging her parenting. Many also said that mommy shamers were the ones sexualizing North.
“All those mom shamers always ready to attack,” a fan wrote. “Kim is with her daughter in a safe environment. I guess her kid is the only kid to ever wear a two-piece? Let the mom parent her kids and stop shaming moms.”
The criticism comes just months after Kardashian was slammed by some for letting North straighten her hair for her fifth birthday in June.

Evans student stunned after receiving $100K for college tuition from Beyonce, Jay-Z
Keshawn Morgan, a senior at Evans High School, had never been to a concert before. So he was thrilled on Wednesday when his local Boys & Girls Club — where he’d been going since second grade — invited him to the Beyoncé and Jay-Z show that night.
When club leaders told him and the other teenagers who had been invited that they had V.I.P. seating, he was even more excited.
But when DJ Khaled, who opened the show at Camping World Stadium, told the audience he had a surprise $100,000 college scholarship to announce, the 17-year-old didn’t think much about it at all.
Until the performer began to describe the winner, saying he was ranked third in his class and was president of the Spanish honor society, and then a puzzled Keshawn thought, “What? That’s me.”
A video of the event shows his mouth drop and his hands briefly cover his face as he realizes he’s the winner, and then his name is announced. He and his friends erupt in cheers, as they jump up and down and hug him.
“Oh my gosh,” a stunned Keshawn said in the video posted on Facebook by the Boys & Girls Cubs of America. “I can’t believe this. I want to be a lawyer. I can’t believe I won this.”
In a phone interview Thursday, he still sounded stunned..
“I really couldn’t believe it,” he said. “I couldn’t even like put it in words,” he added. “It was crazy.”

Let’s Talk About Lauryn Hill’s Essay
Ms. Lauryn Hill decided to share some thoughts on all of the talk surrounding her late shows and many of the very pointed and incendiary comments and opinions shared by Robert Glasper earlier this month.
Like most folks, I’m a fan of ’90s Lauryn, or Ms. Hill as she prefers to be called (more on this later). But she lost me almost two decades ago for various reasons, though I will always appreciate what she brought to the table while always thinking about the big question of what I think she could have brought to the table.
Let’s break down some of this tome. I will skip a lot and only focus on the things that stand out to me because this joint is a legit 3,000 words and while I read the whole thing (and you probably did too), there’s no need for me to address everything she addressed by literally restating it all. This would end up being 5,000 words and ain’t nobody got time for that.
The Miseducation was the first time I worked with musicians outside of the Fugees who’s report and working relationship was clear. In an effort to create the same level of comfort, I may not have established the necessary boundaries and may have been more inviting than I should have been. In hindsight, I would have handled it differently for the removal of any confusion. And I have handled it differently since, I’m clear and I make clear before someone walks in the door what I am and am not looking for. I may have been inclusive, but these are my songs.
Misspelling “rapport” aside (which I only bring up because I saw others do it; I know what she meant so the communication was effective), I think she’s speaking to something very important here. She tried to create an environment like she’d been in prior and it ended up proving chaotic at times, according to various reports. Being the boss is different than being a worker in a situation. I’d chalk this up to a life lesson we could all heed. This foreshadows the “call me Ms. Hill” thing so many folks had an issue with. For the record, I do not have a problem with it.
-I have come across the occasional musician who thinks they already know what I want, feelings and egos can be easily bruised when you tell them they actually don’t. I am never trying to intentionally hurt anyone’s feelings btw, but when people insist that they know you and don’t, you may have to be equally as firm to demonstrate otherwise.
All artists are sensitive about their shit, her included. But she’s absolutely right about one thing (something we’ll get to later), if it’s her vision and her work, then its her law.
