PHOENIX, Ariz. — A Phoenix dad is accused of putting methamphetamine into a coffee cup as he watched two children drink it.
Phoenix police report that on Thursday morning, they arrested 33-year-old Edgar Flores Avila on child abuse charges.
They say on November 30, Avila placed meth into a coffee cup and watched as his 2-year-old son and 5-year-old step-daughter drank from the cup.
The boy immediately turned white and started convulsing. He and the girl were taken to a hospital, and both tested positive for meth.
Police say the girl reportedly told them she drank the coffee with a straw saying, “it was sour and nasty.”
She also told police that she saw the boy drink it too. She said he turned white and started, “moving, moving, moving.”
Avila also tested positive for meth and allegedly admitted to putting .5 grams of meth into the cup after smoking the rest.

Beverly Young Nelson was flanked by her lawyer, Gloria Allred, at a news conference in Atlanta Friday and distributed a report from an expert which concludes the signature in Nelson’s yearbook is that of Moore.
As we reported … Nelson alleges Moore flirted with her when she was a waitress and signed her yearbook. She then alleges Moore offered her a ride home after one of her shifts but instead drove her to the back of the restaurant and attempted to force her to perform oral sex.
Moore has denied Nelson’s allegations and went as far as to say he doesn’t know her.

Sandusky eventually pled guilty to 14 criminal counts including solicitation of child porn — and Friday, he was sentenced to 3 to 6 years in state prison. He was facing up to 8 years.
He’s also required to register as a Tier 3 sex offender — which is the highest level in Pennsylvania.
Jeffrey’s dad, Jerry Sandusky, is currently serving a 30 to 60 year sentence for sexually assaulting young boys while he was a football coach at Penn State.

Rose McGowan, Jawbreaker actress, and Asia Argento, actress, both took to Twitter Friday to slam Alyssa Milano’s, Melrose Place actress,”Today” interview earlier this week when the TIME Person of the Year was revealed.
While Milano has been considered a huge ally in the #MeToo movement sweeping the country, resulting in many powerful men being fired or resigning from positions due to sexual misconduct allegations, McGowan and Argento were not pleased with Milano’s comments about Georgina Chapman. The designer is married to Harvey Weinstein, a movie mogul McGowan and Argento say raped them in separate incidents. Chapman left Weinstein after the flood of sexual assault allegations against him came to light.
Argento simply noted that “Milano is no bueno” Friday morning, while McGowan seemingly expressed that her former “Charmed” co-star made her sick.
“You make me want to vomit. You actually gave me a body flashback. Well done, fake one,” McGowan commented, while retweeting an article about Milano’s comments.
“Alyssa, maybe you and Georgina can call up Camille Cosby,” she added, referring to Bill Cosby’s wife, who stood by the disgraced comedian even after dozens of women came forward with disturbing sexual assault allegations.
Milano gave the “Today” show’s Megyn Kelly an update on Chapman, whom she became friends with five years ago on the set of the Weinstein-produced reality show “Project Runway All Stars.”
Milano said Chapman was “very sad,” and added, “This is not easy for her, but I have no doubt that not only will she come out on the other side of this, but she deserves to.”
“She’s an amazing woman, and I think her priority right now is focusing on how to raise those two children to the best of her capacity given the situation,” Milano said.
In the lengthy statement, Weinstein owned up to some of his bad behavior, though his attorney also said “he denies many of the accusations as patently false.”

Mother left naked toddler in bathroom during dollar store robbery
Ohio police arrested a mother on Tuesday after she allegedly tried to rob a dollar store while her 1-year-old daughter was left unattended in the bathroom, reports said.
According to Fox 8, Mary Waguespack was at a Dollar General in Alliance when she allegedly attempted to make off with nearly $100 worth of store merchandise while her daughter was alone. She tried to flee the scene through the fire exit but tripped an alarm, Cleveland 19 News reported.
The little girl eventually escaped from the bathroom and was running around the store naked during her mother’s alleged heist, according to a police report obtained by the outlet. The girl was eventually “corralled” by Waguespack, 36, Cleveland 19 News said.
Officers reportedly apprehended Waguespack and charged her with petty theft and endangering a child. The endangerment charge was raised to a fourth degree felony due to a previous child endangerment conviction in 2012, Fox 8 reported.
The little girl was reportedly picked up by Waguespack’s husband, whom she was divorcing, while the mother was brought to jail, the outlet said. Child services were notified of the incident, Fox 8 reported.
Man says he had sex with dead girlfriend in effort to wake her up
A Connecticut man is behind bars after he had sex with his dead girlfriend — in the hope it would wake her up, according to reports.
Aaron Graser, 39, was sentenced to a year in prison for fourth-degree sexual assault of a corpse on Tuesday, the Hartford Courant reported.
Cops found Graser’s girlfriend dead in their apartment and surrounded by needles back in January, the paper reported.
Graser told police that he found her unresponsive with heroin and drug paraphernalia in her lap — and decided sex would be the best way to rouse her because she didn’t like sleeping with him.
“Aaron stated he listened to see if the victim was breathing and he heard gurgling. Aaron stated he knew the victim hated having sex with him so he figured that the victim might wake up if he had sex with her,” a warrant for Graser’s arrest read.
He also admitted tying her ankles and wrists to the bedposts because it was one of his kinks.
When the attempted coital revival failed, he put her pants on and called his neighbor, who used to be a paramedic. The neighbor later told police he believed the woman had been dead for hours.
An autopsy later determined the paramedic was correct — the ligatures caused by the bedpost ties didn’t have bruises, which means no blood was flowing at the time, a medical examiner testified at the trial.
The ME also testified that the gurgling Graser heard could have been decomposition gases escaping the woman’s body.
A toxicology report determined the woman had high levels of fentanyl, heroin and another synthetic drug in her body and she died from a drug overdose.
Graser originally was charged with second-degree assault, but agreed to plead guilty to the lesser charge.
He was spared from being placed on the sex offender registry — the judge determined it wasn’t necessary for public safety “based upon the facts” of the case.

Steve Harvey is being sued by someone who claims he was hired by the TV mogul to raise $20 million for the Steve and Marjorie Foundation as well as other ventures and got royally stiffed.
Vincent Dimmock claims he struck a deal with Harvey in April to raise the $20 mil, and in return he says he was promised 12.5% of everything he brought in. Dimmock says in the lawsuit he had access to high-level execs, A-list entertainers and political figures including a former President, and he got pledges for $20 mil.
According to the suit, Dimmock delivered on the first million but Harvey refused to pay him his commission.
Dimmock claims Harvey never intended to pay him and then goes on to make various allegations.
Dimmock says he introduced Harvey to an investor in May, and during their meeting he allegedly disparaged women, blamed Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry for giving him bad financial advice and also blamed Barack Obama for Harvey’s “disastrous meeting with Donald Trump.”
He says Harvey and his foundation were in bad financial shape because of a series of P.R. gaffes, including mocking Asian men and meeting with Trump.
We reached out to Harvey’s agent, Todd Frank, who tells TMZ, “It sounds fake. Steve is the most loyal guy in the world. I’ve never been stiffed on a commission from Steve Harvey in 21 years.”

Former USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar was sentenced to 60 years in prison on Thursday for child pornography.
Nassar, 54, who is also facing sentencing for sexually assaulting members of the women’s Olympics gymnastics team, pleaded guilty in July to three counts of possessing child pornography.
The pornography, which included more than 37,000 of images and videos depicting children as young as infants, was discovered last year while Nassar was under investigation for assault.
He was given 20 years in prison on each count by a judge at a court hearing in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
‘This is very difficult, as you can imagine, standing here,’ Nassar said in court on Thursday.
‘I’ve been battling with this, obviously for a considerable period of time. It’s something, your honor, I’m very ashamed of… I’ve lost everything because of this… You wonder how I got down this path to begin with.’
Woman held down 2-year-old toddler while cousin recorded himself sexually abusing child
CINCINNATI, Ohio — A sex offender and his cousin in Ohio are facing federal charges after being accused of making child pornography with a 2-year-old toddler with plans to sell the video, federal authorities said Thursday.
Cousins Ciera Richter, 25, and Jason Fletcher, 40, were both arrested.
According to WXIX, Fletcher’s probation officer found child porn on his phone back in May. A further search of the phone revealed an entire collection of child pornography and videos, some of which included Fletcher with a 2-year-old child.
The videos show the woman, Richter, helping to hold, entertain and position the toddler while Fletcher is being recorded sexually abusing the child.

According to the indictment, Fletcher intended to sell the videos.
“The indictment alleges that Richter provided the toddler to Fletcher with the knowledge that as a consequence of the transfer, the two-year-old would be portrayed in child pornography,” said U.S. Attorney Benjamin Glassman.
Fletcher, already a registered sex offender, was previously convicted by the state of Ohio of importuning a minor, among other crimes. Under the terms of his probation, he was not to possess any pornography.
Fletcher and Richter were each indicted on one count of conspiracy to produce child pornography and production of child pornography, according to a release from the U.S. District Attorney’s Office.
According to officials, Fletcher faces a potential range of 35 years to life in prison, due to his prior state convictions for crimes involving children, federal officials said.
Richter is also charged with one count of selling a child, and could receive up to 30 years to life in prison.

At least 2 people injured, ‘shooter down’ after shooting at New Mexico school, reports say
At least two people were injured after a gunman opened fire at a northern New Mexico high school Thursday morning. Law enforcement said the shooter is down.
The San Juan County Sheriff’s Office confirmed reports of an active shooter around 9 a.m. local time, saying Aztec High School in Aztec, N.M. was on lockdown.
“There are at least a dozen reported injuries at this time,” a spokesperson for the sheriff’s department told Fox News.
The school is located in the Four Corners region and is near the Navajo Nation, about 180 miles north of Albuquerque.
A spokesman with the sheriff’s office told reporters that the unidentified shooter was “down,” but did not provide additional information.
No additional information was provided on the condition of those injured, KOB reported.
It wasn’t immediately clear if the shooting happened inside the school, who was suspected of firing the shots and what condition the wounded were in.
On Facebook, law enforcement asked people to “avoid the area” while they secured the scene.

“Aztec High School is locked down and being evacuated. Please avoid the area. Parents can stage at 516 and Mesa Verde near the church to pick up their kids. We will update this as we learn more,” the post said.
Farmington Municipal Schools wrote on Facebook all schools in the district went into preventive lockdown due to the incident.
“We have no reason to think there is any threat in Farmington at this time, but we are taking this advance action in order to secure all of our schools. Your students’ safety is our primary concern,” the statement said.
In nearby Bloomfield, police said local schools were also lockdown as a precaution.
