Teacher who wrote ‘I want to kill children’ on projector has resigned
COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — A Commerce City middle school teacher has resigned after he allegedly typed out an inappropriate message to students last week, school district officials told KDVR.
“Silent reading … I want to kill children but I am a loving Christian man who never would hurt a flee (sic) so please sit down and read,” the note on Kris Burghart’s projector said.
Burghart was placed on administrative leave after the incident on Dec. 5, but has since resigned from his position, School District 27J spokesman Tracy Rudnick said.
Burghart was an eighth-grade teacher at Otho E. Stuart Middle School in Commerce City.
Principal Fabricio Velez told parents in a letter that students were never in any danger.
“Please know that we take any allegations concerning the safety and security of our Raptors very seriously,” Velez said. “I can assure you that your student was not in danger at any time.”
After the incident, more than a dozen parents voiced support for Burghart.
“[He is] the most supportive teacher for any of the kids in this school,” a parent said.
Other parents called the teacher an asset to the community, to the school and fellow teachers.
“He’s the greatest teacher at this school in my opinion,” another parent said.

Woman pleads guilty, says she killed pregnant neighbor so she and her boyfriend could keep the baby
FARGO, N.D. — A North Dakota woman pleaded guilty Monday in the killing of a pregnant neighbor so she and her boyfriend could keep the baby, though officials are still saying little about how the victim died.
Brooke Crews, 38, could face life in prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit kidnapping and murder and lying to law officers in the death of 22-year-old Savanna Greywind, of Fargo. Her boyfriend, William Hoehn, 32, has pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to commit kidnapping and murder and lying to law officers.
He is scheduled for trial in March, which a prosecutor cited as a reason for continuing to withhold information on the case.
Crews’ attorney, Steven Mottinger, said afterward that the guilty pleas will help his client argue for less than the maximum sentence of life in prison without parole.
“Ms. Crews early on indicated that she wanted to take responsibility for her actions,” Mottinger said. “From where I stand, she took responsibility today by entering a guilty plea to the three charges.”
Greywind was eight months pregnant when she disappeared in August. Kayakers found her body wrapped in plastic in a river. The baby was found alive in the apartment Crews shared with her 32-year-old boyfriend, William Hoehn. Hoehn is scheduled for trial in March.
Crews didn’t offer details on how Greywind was killed. Authorities haven’t said either, but Fargo Police Chief Dave Todd has said her death was a “cruel and vicious act of depravity.”
Cass County State’s Attorney Birch Burdick said further details aren’t likely to be released until after Hoehn’s case is finished.
“As you’re well aware, this is one important step in two cases that are intertwined,” Burdick said outside the courtroom. “At least our office will be rather circumspect until we’ve got both cases resolved. Then we can elaborate more fully.”
Although Crews and Hoehn are not facing murder chargers, Burdick said that the conspiracy charges are in the same offense category and carry the same maximum penalty as murder.
“At the time we charged the case, it seemed like an appropriate charge based upon our then-available evidence,” he said. “As the case moved forward, we did not see a reason to change the charges. We believe it makes no difference from a sentencing perspective.”
Crews initially claimed that Greywind gave up her newborn daughter, but she later admitted taking advantage of the woman to get the child, according to court documents. Crews told police she arranged to have Greywind come to her apartment and told her how to induce labor. Greywind came back two days later to give her the newborn baby, Crews said.
But Hoehn told police a different story, according to the documents. He said he came home on Aug. 19 to find Crews cleaning up blood in their bathroom. Hoehn said Crews presented him with an infant girl and said: “This is our baby. This is our family.”
Hoehn told police he took garbage bags containing bloody shoes and his bloody towels and disposed them away from the apartment complex, according to the court documents. Hoehn is scheduled for trial in March.
Authorities have not said how the baby was delivered. The baby is now in the custody of her father, Ashton Matheny, who was Greywind’s boyfriend.
East Central District Judge Frank Racek on Monday asked Crews about letters she sent to the court complaining about a delay in receiving evidence. Crews told the judge that the issue was resolved.
“Cases like this we start with initial police reports, lab reports,” Mottinger said. “Things come in over a period of time. It’s a step by step by process.”
Woman shoots, dismembers husband, lives with rotting body parts for months
BARBERTON, Ohio — Authorities say an Ohio woman shot her husband multiple times earlier this year and dismembered his body.
Forty-nine-year-old Marcia Eubank has been charged with murder in the death of 54-year-old Howard Eubank. Records don’t show an attorney for her.
The Summit County sheriff’s office says in a release that deputies went to the couple’s home in Coventry Township in suburban Akron on Saturday when the couple’s adult son called about possible remains. The deputies found deteriorating remains tentatively identified as those of Howard Eubank. The release says investigators believe Eubank was killed earlier this year in a “domestic-related incident.”
Authorities say Marcia Eubank was arrested later Saturday in a store parking lot. A Barberton Municipal Court judge on Monday set bond for her at $1 million.
Daredevil falls to his death from 62-story building
Unfortunately, social media cultivated the viral video/famous for anything culture and this story reveals the dangers of #doitforthevine.
A daredevil plummeted to his death during a risky stunt near the top of a 62-story building in China, according to new reports.
Wu Yongning, 26, who called himself “China’s First Rooftopper,” plunged from the Huayuan International Centre in Changsha, the capital of Hunan province in central China, on Nov. 8, AsiaWire reported.
A month later, Yongning’s girlfriend and family members confirmed his death.
A viral video clip, which racked up more than 15 million views on Chinese social media, shows Yongning — who had already reached the roof of the skyscraper — lowering himself over the edge of the building to do a pull-up stunt. But when he tried to hoist himself back up, he struggled for a few moments before losing his grip and plummeting down the side of the building.
The camera phone that he had set up to record the stunt quickly lost sight of him.
Authorities describe the fatal fall as an accident and have ruled out foul play, according to the report. Police believe he plunged about 45 feet onto a terrace and died of his injuries either during or right after the plunge.
His girlfriend, identified only as “Jinjin,” told the outlet that she believes Yongning took an elevator “over 40 floors” and began his climb “nearly 20 more floors” until he reached the spot where he filmed.
The building is only open to the public until the 44th floor — beyond that, key cards are needed to access the Grand Hyatt Hotel, according to the report.
Yongning would have received 100,000 yuan — about $15,000 — for the stunt, his family told the Xiaoxiang Morning Herald. It is unclear who was offering that prize.
“He planned to propose to his girlfriend [the day after the challenge],” Yongning’s stepuncle Feng Shengliang told the South China Morning Post. “He needed the money for the wedding, and for medical treatment for his ailing mother.”
One friend commended Yongning’s selflessness in a post on the Chinese social media site Weibo.
“You are one of those people in this world, you will do anything for your loved ones, absolutely anything,” the user wrote, according to the BBC.
But others criticized him for the reckless act.
“Why would you seek attention in such a dangerous way, just for your fans?” another person posted.
Yongning was known for scaling skyscrapers without any safety equipment — just his own “martial arts training and careful planning,” one of his Weibo posts said, according to the outlet. He shared nearly 300 videos of his death-defying acts.

Plus Size Women Don’t Exist, According To This Company
Plus Size Women Don’t Exist, According To This Company
Unfortunately, I have noticed that people are uncomfortable with curves, with any woman that wears anything above a size 4. For whatever reason, people get all hot and bothered irritated, disturbed in their spirit when they see a woman with more skin and more… of a womanly abundance.
Product images surfaced on wish.com (a company that sells Chinese-manufactured products to American customers) showing thin models wearing the $2 plus-size tights. In one picture, a woman stretches out the tights over her hands; in another, the model is photographed with both of her legs in just one pantyhose leg. And of course, there’s also an image of a model with the tights up to her eyes, looking out as if to say “peekaboo.”

Cincinnati woman burns down house trying to kill bedbugs
A woman set her Cincinnati home on fire when she used rubbing alcohol to get rid of her bedbug problem.
The late Friday fire sent three people to the hospital with non-threatening injuries and left another 10 homeless, local Fox affiliate WXIX reported.
The blaze broke out on the first floor, where the alcohol was ignited by either burning incense or a candle, local fire chief Randy Freel told the news channel.
First responders at about midnight found flames gushing out of the first floor.
Fire officials noted it was the second time in as many weeks a fire broke out in Cincinnati by someone trying to kill bedbugs.
The late evening blaze caused $250,000 in damage to the five-unit structure, WXIX reported. The American Red Cross is trying to find new homes for the seven adults and three children.
“It’s like a dream….everything is burnt,” said resident Kamaron Lyshe, who rushed home after someone told him about the fire. “I’ll start fresh. It’s all we can do now.”Freel told the channel Cincinnati residents shouldn’t combat the biting pests on their own.
“Get a professional,” he said.
Less than two weeks ago, an apartment building went ablaze in The Queen City for the same reason.
A 13-year-old boy’s mattress went ablaze when he tried to eradicate a bedbug by setting it on fire.
The flames soon engulfed nearly the entire building, displacing eight people who lived there.
Bullied boy called ‘ugly’ has Snoop Dogg, Dale Earnhardt Jr and other celebrities rallying behind him
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A Tennessee woman’s video of her tearful son recounting being bullied at middle school has prompted a wave of support from athletes and entertainers.
Kimberly Jones said in a Facebook post Friday she had just picked up her son, Keaton, from school because he was too afraid to go to lunch.
In the video, Keaton said other students call him ugly, make fun of his nose and tell him he has no friends. He said milk was poured on him and ham was put down his clothes.
“People that are different don’t need to be criticized about it. It’s not their fault. If you are made fun of, just don’t let it bother you.”
The video had more than 18 million views as of Sunday, and a crowdsourcing page for Keaton’s future education had raised more than $29,000.
“We all know how it feels to want to belong,” Jones said in her post, “but only a select few know how it really feels not to belong anywhere.”
On Twitter, Tennessee Titans tight end Delanie Walker invited the Jones family to an upcoming game, while University of Tennessee wide receiver Tyler Byrd said he and several teammates plan to visit Keaton at school.
Country music star Kelsea Ballerini tweeted that the next time she comes home to her native Knoxville, she wants to be with Keaton to witness the bullies apologize.
Retired race car driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. said on Twitter he wants Keaton to “add me to your long list of friends,” and Snoop Dogg said on Instagram that Keaton “has a friend for life” and that “love is the only way to beat hate.”

Dear Kylie Jenner: We’re Broke, Not Dumb
We have let the KardashianJenner Klan get away with too much! And now this…
I can go on and on listing the shady, down right wrong the KardashianJenner Klan (KJK) but…
After the KJK were selling stolen designs (allegedly) they soon after pushed their way onto the makeup scene, and with that came a whole new wave of shenanigans.
Some may have forgiven Kim K for defending Jefree Star, after he came for Jackie Aina (watch the breakdown here). And many gave Kylie Jenner the side eye after she tried to shade BadGalRiRi and the only makeup that matters right now her baby Fenty (watch that little situation here).
And now Kylie Jenner is trying to sell us makeup brushes that are $365!
“Kylie is really upset by the make-up brush backlash, she really wasn’t expecting to get mauled like this,” a source close to the Kardashians EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife.com. “The brushes are really top quality, and the price point is in line with products of a similar quality, so it’s not like she’s overcharging at all. The problem really is that the majority of Kylie’s fans are teenagers, or girls in their early twenties, and they really don’t have over $300 to spend on make-up brushes! Kylie is taking all the criticism on board, she doesn’t want to be seen as being elitist, or out of touch—she’s discussing a number of different options right now and the most likely solution is that she will launch a range of cheaper brushes which will prove much more affordable for her core customer base.
She was surprised by the backlash? She really expected everyone to buy the brushes for $360?? Seriously, stop your trolling, girl. Look at those $0.99 brushes below:
Bar worker hides camera phone in ceiling vent to watch ‘attractive women’ in restroom
A dishwasher at a Queens bar hid his cell phone in the ladies room to spy on customers — but was foiled by one of the bar’s regulars who spotted it in a ceiling vent, cops and prosecutors said.
Hector-Miguel Ramirez-Vargas, a 31-year-old worker at Holy Guacamole on 31st St. at 36th Ave. in Long Island City, admitted he set up his cell phone camera in the loo when “attractive women” came in, court documents allege.
Cops caught up with Ramirez-Vargas this week, more than three months after he disappeared from the bar after a woman found his phone in a ceiling vent, prosecutors said.
Franco Solano, 34, the manager at Holy Guacamole, said one of the bar’s regulars went to the women’s restroom on Aug. 31, saw the camera phone, and asked, “Hey guys, why do you keep that camera in the bathroom?”
One of her friends grabbed the phone and went through the images in the camera, recognizing Ramirez-Vargas from his own photos stored on the phone.
Solano called the police, but Ramirez-Vargas made a run for it through a back patio.
“Since that night he never showed up,” he said. “We were telling the employees, if you see him just call the police.”
“They’re regular customers. Since that night happened, they never came back and I understand,” Solano lamented. “It’s not us. It’s this guy who made a big mistake.”
Cops caught up with Ramirez-Vargas on Wednesday, charging him with unlawful surveillance.
He told detectives he worked as a deliveryman and dishwasher, according to a criminal complaint.
“When I would see attractive women in the restaurant I would put my cell phone in the women’s bathroom to record them using the bathroom for my own personal pleasure,” he told cops, according to the complaint.
He remains held on $1,500 bond or $3,000 cash bail.
10-year-old gets multi-organ transplant after waiting for 8 years
CLEVELAND – A 10-year-old boy is a living miracle after waiting eight years for a multi-organ transplant.
“I just thought about it at night; I laid in bed thinking about him being in there all by himself,” Annie Lykins remembers the nights before she decided to take legal custody of Victorious Nera.
Victorious, also known as Vic, is a fighter. He was born with Short Gut Syndrome, which almost killed him as a baby and requires him to get all his nutrients from an IV, according to WJW.
Vic was in foster care until he was about two years old. Then he was adopted and loved by his mom for years while he had to have dozens of surgeries. But the medicine that Vic needed to live was also destroying his liver and pancreas. Vic got on the organ transplant list.
During that time, Lykins was one of his home health nurses and, tragically, Vic’s mom took her own life. He was sent to a facility for medical care.
So Lykins, the nurse, stepped in and took legal custody of Vic in March of 2017. She brought him into her family, with her own three children.
“It was crazy the way everything kind of fell into place; it was a domino effect. He fit perfectly with our family; it was like he was always there,” she said. In November, the family got the news that there was an organ donor for Vic.
Dr. Kareem Abu-Elmagd at the Cleveland Clinic has treated Vic for years. “These patients is like our baby because we are taking care of them day and night and we see them often so we establish a bond and relationship,” he said.
There are only about 100 transplants like Vic’s done every year in the United States. Dr. Abu-Elmagd does about a third of them in Cleveland. Vic’s surgery giving him a new liver, pancreas and small intestine lasted 16 hours and was a success.
“Everybody was excited in the operating room when we had the organs in. They fit in his abdominal cavity and the whole team was so excited that we were able to help Vic with the new organs,” he said.
Vic is recovering well and will eventually be able to start eating foods like a regular kid.
“I expect Vic to be one of those who one day could be the president of the United States,” Dr. Abu-Elmagd said.
But right now Vic is more focused on spending time with his new family and hopefully being home for Christmas.
If you would like to keep up with Vic’s story you can follow him on Facebook, or you can help his family with medical costs on his GoFundMe page.
