Mariah Carey’s sister arrested in Saugerties for prostitution

SAUGERTIES >> The sister of pop diva Mariah Carey was arrested on a prostitution charge here on Friday, and police are saying anyone who may have had a sexual encounter with the woman should see their doctor.

Alison A. Carey, 55, the older sister of the superstar singer, was arrested by Saugerties police following an undercover investigation into allegations that she was prostituting out of a town of Saugerties hotel. Police would not identify the hotel.

She was arrested after soliciting money in exchange for sexual favors from an undercover police officer posing as a client.

Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra said when she was arrested Carey identified herself as the sister of the performer, who was once included on Forbes’ list of the 20 richest women in entertainment.

Sinagra said an internet search of the two women appeared to confirmed the claim.

Sinagra said Carey, whom police described as transient, was advertising her services on the Internet, and according to her posting, had been working out of the hotel for about a week.

One ad, posted at 6:18 p.m. on Friday, contains two photos of Carey and states: “Im a pretty lady looking for guys who are looking to have some fun and get into a world of pleasure that other woman just cant provide two you,woman with the ability to make the earth move for you and to get you to see stars, oh yea with me its,”ITS SUCH A SWEET,SWEET FANTASY BABY, WHEN I CLOSE MY EYES I COME AND TAKE YOU ON AND ON.” That phrasing mimics the lyrics from Mariah Carey’s 1995 hit “Fantasy.”

Two other ads, posted by the same user, were dated July 31 and Aug. 15.

Sinagra said police were tipped off about the ads, which had been placed on a website that includes an “adult” category.

Sinagra said that “based on other stories,” there could be cause for concern for people who had sexual encounters with Carey, particularly if it was unprotected, and urged those individuals to contact their doctors.

Carey was arraigned in Saugerties Town Court and sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail. She is due in Saugerties Town Court on Tuesday, Aug. 30.

Why is it that we as Black woman critique other Black woman’s hair so harshly some of us act like our hair HAST to be pristine and not a hair outta place, are edges MUST be slicked back OMG heaven forbid if our hair becomes unrivaled. It doesn’t matter if our hair is relaxed or kinky curly natural BITCHES ALWAYS got something to say. Yes our hair is our crown and glory BUT DAMN to openly complain attack these two beautiful brown skin Olympic gymnasts. Gabby got this same treatment at the 2012 Olympics REALLY?? 

 

Why are we as Black woman have to pick at something so mundane? Gabby and Simone’s hair has NOTHING to do with there ability to swing on the high bars; rings. YOU BLACK WOMAN TROLLS SITTING ON YOUR BLACK ASSES may have a daughter who’s interested in gymnastics but will probably won’t want to try because they won’t want to get picked apart by BLACK WOMAN LIKE YA’LL DOING GABBY  I too thought Gabby needs to pull out the juz 4 me relaxer kit but then I went right back to watching her preform her black girl magic and said to myself it’s none of my business if her edges need to be relaxed or not. YA’LL HYPOCRITES WHO ARE CLOWNIN’OR CRITICING GABBY’s HAIR NEED TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR OWN BUSINESS AT HOME AND DO YOUR OWN DAUGHTERS HAIR! I have yet to see anything twitted about Samone’s hair I guess she got the good hair? SIGH Now the white   Anti Social Media peeps   are selective outraged after Gabby Douglas didn’t  put  her hand over her heart during National Anthem. OH MY GOD REALLY??

Suicide Squad Movie Review (Small Spoilers)

 After months of waiting, Suicide Squad finally hit theaters Thursday (depending on where you live) and Friday night. From what I saw, in my opinion the critics were wrong about this one. Suicide Squad is definitely one of the better summer movies of this year!

Let’s start off with the obvious, Will Smith and Margot Robbie did great jobs as DeadShot and Harley Quinn. Both of them definitely stole the show in whatever scene they were in and both were hilarious as well. Jared Leto delivered as the Joker as well. You can tell that this Joker is and will be different from the Heath Ledger we’ve seen in The Dark Knight. My only gripe was that he didn’t play too much of major part in the main plot of the movie.

Other than a desire for other characters to be fleshed out a little more, everyone from Killer Croc to Rick Flagg were enjoyable to see on screen. Seeing the two cameos of Batman and The Flash were a great add on to this movie and a nice set up for the Justice League movie next year. It was nice to see Common in there as well even though he was killed by the Joker two minutes later

The plot to me seemed good for the most part. It’s very character driven as it gives a brief synopsis of everyone the first hour and they dive into their mission the second hour. Enchantress as the villain seemed like great choice.

As far as my gripes with the film, adding Slipknot to the film just to kill him off before the action even starts is somewhat of a waste. Also in the final scene when everyone is getting ready to take on Enchantress, she looks as if she’s doing a very poor form of belly dancing that just looked plain weird.

All in all I say Suicide a Squad was definitely a great movie and you should go out and see it. Never mind what the critics say, see and judge it for yourself. The action is great, the comedy is spot on, and the characters are enjoyable. Out of 10 I give it an 8. If you haven’t seen it go out and see it now!
