The man who committed to 2012 Colorado movie theater shooting has been sentenced to life with out parole after jurors failed to agree on whether or not he should get the death penalty.
The decision was made after 3 months of testimonies from the victims and pleads from his parents to be spared from lethal injection. This case could’ve ended the same way 2 years ago had Holmes pleaded guilty.
I think this is a better. I feel like the death penalty would’ve been the easy way out for him. Now he has to sit in prison for the rest of his life thinking about what he did and forever looking over his shoulder.
