Wyclef is running for president of Haiti

Wyclef Jean is set to announce his official run for President of Haiti.
At first I thought it was a rumor, but it seems that the Yele Haiti head
is seriously mulling over the idea, he even stated that he
“Can’t sing forever.”
according to Allhiphop Wyclef is preparing to make
his formal announcement next week, at that time he will announce
his run for Presidency Thursday, August 5th.
The 2010 election will take place November 28th
and the sitting President,Rene Preval is not eligible for reelection.
I don’t know if Wyclef is qualifed to run a country, but good luck to him
it’s always good to see people thinking outside the box…
Lauryn Hill comes out of hiding =)

Singer/rapper Lauryn Hill made a rare appearance (Mon. Apr 19) she popped up at the Tanzania Education Trust Gala and Reception, hosted by President Jakaya Kikwete of the United Republic of Tanzania, at Plaza Athenee in New York City.
Before making her way into the building, she walked the red carpet for the first time in years and posed for a couple of pictures with fellow musician Anthony Hamilton and Goodwill Ambassador Doug Pitt.
I for one am SO GLAD to see Lauryn, a lot of ya’ll think i’m hard on chicks like Nicki Minaj,
but i have to be, when i was a teen this was the type of music i banged,
Lauryn is the Epitome of a multi talented artist, she raps and sings and all of her shit made you really THINK!
when ever i was down and out, i would bang “the score” i knew that entire album from front to back,
when i got a little older “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill”
taught me a lot… she made it ok to brown skin, to have natural hair, to have respect for yourself,
it wasn’t all about shaking your ass and seeing how many guys or chicks you could bang,
her music was real music, and i truly miss those days….
I may be alone in my thinking, but it’s all good cus I came in to this world alone and that’s exactly how I shall leave =)

As you know there has been a lot of drama and accusations around Wyclef Jean
and his organization YELE anyways here are his tweets,

Wyclef Jean Paid His Mistress $105,000 Through His Haiti Charity
I had been hearing rumors since January about Wyclef and the whole Yele Haiti foundation.
Wyclef founded this to help the Haitian people, he received millions following the earthquake tragedy that happened in Haiti….
people were saying months ago that it was a scam, i refused to believe it because this world will do anything to discredit a black man #justsaying… anyways the smoking gun now has proof, they are showing proof that Wyclef paid his mistress…
i mean his jumpoff and personal assistant $105,000 in 2008.
His jumpoff is Zakiya Khatou-Chevassus that’s her in the photo above #sideeye… have ya’ll seen his wife CLAUDINETTE? what the hell is Wyclef thinking? SIGH!!
anyways according to Yele Haiti’s 2008 tax return, which was posted this week by the SmokingGun.com the charity paid Khatou-Chevassus $105,000 as an independent contractor in 2008 for “program development.” That amounts to roughly one-third of all the money Yele spent that year on management and general expenses.
I guess it pays to be a jumpoff damnnnn!

SOS Saving OurSelves – Help for Haiti

Wyclef, Diddy, Pharrell and many others held a two-hour concert and telethon to benefit Haiti on Feb. 5.
I watched bits and pieces, it was pretty good from what i saw=)
S.o.S raised a lot of money which is a good thing, but I wonder when will they do a S.o.S for all of the people struggling in this recession?? just saying… we shouldn’t only come together during a time of tragedy, we should be willing to help each other all the time.
hopefully we can do a S.o.S for the homeless, the poor,and the hungry here in the states as well…
i think it would be a wonderful thing….let’s see if this ever gets done….
SOS, Help for Haiti was held at the American Airlines Arena in Miami it aired live on
BET, MTV, VH1.
HA! Chris Breezy finally got invited to a big event, he showed out!
that man sang his heart out, he gave a very heart-felt performance of “Crawl” and “With You.”
he even got a standing ovation from the crowd.
I for one am glad to see that him and rihanna have moved on, and gotten back to their careers.
as you know i am SO over them doing interviews about the incident…just stick to making good music #thatisall
Lots of other stars participated this included host, Queen Latifah along with Diddy, Robin Thicke, Justin Bieber, Wyclef Jean and even Good ol’ Bill Clinton was there lol…Obama was no where in sight.
